Deep Love

Chapter 55

Much as Keme had predicted, Kel dragged him from the hut by the ear, snarling that Keme was not married to Seleste, and until that changed, he had better learn to keep his dick to himself or else he would cut it off. Running alongside Kel at an odd crouching walk, Keme caught glimpses of Julyan's astonished face, Aliona's disapproving scowl, and could hear Yuri protesting as she tried to intervene. She even went so far as to lie for Keme, declaring breathlessly that she had let him into the house to see Seleste. Kel didn't buy it. He unceremoniously deposited Keme on the street and advised him to stay away from Zaldon's hut until he had learned some self-control. With that, the wooden door slammed, and Keme stood in the dark street alone, feeling more embarrassed than anything.

Fortunately, Zaldon's home was not very far from the great hut where Honiahaka lived with his father. He arrived there fairly quickly, and the guards at the door recognized him and nodded him in. Once inside, Keme wasn't quite sure where to go: it hit him for the first time that he had never seen the second floor of the hut, let alone the third. Where would Honiahaka's room be? It would be a bit hard to follow Honiahaka's scent given that he lived in the place: his scent was everywhere. On top of that, the hut was enormous.

Overcoming his embarrassment, Keme finally just asked a guard where Honiahaka's room was. The guard answered with a knowing smirk that he wanted to punch off his face. He turned abruptly away without thanking him and marched up the stairs.

God, what a night.

Honiahaka's bedroom was on the second floor, the third room in. When Keme came to the room, he paused at the curtain and sniffed. Ah, yes. Honiahaka's scent was very strong here. This was definitely it.

Keme listened a beat. He could hear gentle breathing coming from inside. Honiahaka was asleep then. He pushed open the curtain and entered. He smiled. The sun chief's room was everything Keme could have imagined: there were open parchments and scrolls everywhere. A wooden desk against the wall was loaded with them, as well as an inkwell and a collection of brilliantly colored quills. Odd trinkets, models, and souvenirs from the sun chief's various travels lined the shelves and small tables, right alongside candles burnt down to the wick, empty wine bottles, and badly scribbled doodles.

One wall contained a towering bookshelf that covered its width, and on the shelves were many very old books. Books were very rare in their world. Keme had only seen the odd book among the wares of the moon wolf merchants he'd met while traveling the wastelands. But Honiahaka had all sorts. The bookshelf reached clear to the ceiling, and there wasn't an empty space on the shelf: it was jammed tight with old tomes.

Curiosity taking him, Keme took a step toward the bookshelf but paused. He could see Honiahaka on the wide double bed. The sun chief was sleeping on his back, one arm behind his head. The fur sheets were pulled up to his broad chest, and he had at least three pillows stacked under his head. One big arm was slung across his eyes, but the other was down near his thigh. Keme's heart leapt when he noticed a rise in the sheets: Honiahaka was hard. Keme smiled. Whatever he was dreaming about must've been good.

Keme turned back to the shelf and his eyes danced over the books. Aiyana had taught him to read when he was a pup. He still remembered the boring recitations as she made him draw figures in the dirt over and over and over. He didn't understand why learning to write them was so important, and whenever he questioned her, she would smile sadly as she explained to him that the jungle might not always be his home.

Looking at the books now, Keme sighed wearily. How right Aiyana had been. He looked over the rows upon rows. Honiahaka had books on all sorts of myths and legends, from kitsune to magic to nymphs, and even some books about the Meketh tribe were there. There were books about pygmies, books about spirits and ghosts, books about the varieties of fish and flora, books written in languages he did not recognize . . . and books about shemales.

Keme reached for one of the books on shemales. The leather it was bound in was stained a deep red and the lettering on it was curly black. He started to take it down but paused. He glanced at Honiahaka again and had to wonder why he was so afraid of being caught with a book. He decided to stop caring and took the book down.

Keme flipped the book open and stared in astonishment. The very first page depicted an illustration of a shemale with a spear running through her. Shocked, Keme flipped the book shut again, and looking at the title, he realized for the first time that it was The Hated Shebeast, An Anthology, with the subtitle Shemales. He'd been so excited, he'd only seen the word "shemale."

Filled with anger and disgust, Keme slowly opened the book again and read. Apparently, it had been written by some bigoted sun wolf scholar who journeyed to the jungles and spied on the shemales for his research. The book comprised of his many notes over the years, as well as the findings of other scholars he admired. A great many of the things he and his colleagues had written about the shemales were incorrect, assumptions, or opinions that stemmed from his own personal hatred. As Keme forced himself through the first chapter, it became clear that the scholar was not alone in his hatred: the entire village of the sun seemed to view shemale hatred as something of a tradition. According to the introduction, the sun wolves had once been at war with the shemales.

Unable to read anymore, Keme shut the book and put it on the shelf. Then he stood there a long time, just glaring at it. He hadn't been able to understand why Kel and the rest of the family insisted that he keep his strength and his shemale heritage a secret. Now he did. Now he also understood why all of them refused to speak of his mother: if anyone in the sun village found out he was part shemale, they'd probably run him out of the village with stones - if they didn't outright gut him.

Keme smiled to think of it. The sun wolves hated shemales . . . and yet . . . Chief Argon had named a shemale descendant the first living hero of the sun! Keme laughed softly as he fingered his necklace. If only they knew who he really was.

"Mmm. . . ."

Keme's ears pricked forward when Honiahaka moaned behind him. He turned to face the bed and watched as the sun chief's big, muscular body twisted under the sheets. Honiahaka was still rock hard. It was suddenly too tempting.

Keme took a step toward the bed. He stopped when Honiahaka moaned again and his brows pressed together. Heh. He looked so cute when he was sleeping.

Keme lifted the sheet and crawled under. He could see Honiahaka's big body, his hard thighs and the dick that stood erect from his heavy balls. With the sheets closed in around him, the sweet musk of the sun chief's sex was deliciously overwhelming. Keme carefully crawled toward Honiahaka's cock and paused again. It stood naked and vulnerable, pulsing with veins, so thick and big he knew it would choke him. It suddenly occurred to Keme that he had never given Honiahaka head. Until that moment, it had always been the other way around. Time to remedy that.

Keme licked his lips and closed his mouth over Honiahaka. He heard the sun chief grunt as he came awake. His big paw reached under the sheets, frantic to find whoever had snuck in his room in the night to do this to him. His fingers found Keme's mane, and after feeling a moment, his paw stopped, as if he recognized those thick messy curls.

"Keme . . .?" Honiahaka whispered hoarsely.

Keme closed his eyes and began to suck. He moved his head carefully up and down, and as his hot spit came, he could feel Honiahaka's cock swelling, hardening even thicker in his mouth. His lips began to hurt and he choked a moment before going on. Mmm. The salty taste of him. Honiahaka's cock was so thick and warm and firm. He tasted as sweet as he smelled. Keme devoured carefully, slowly, pausing often to flex his tongue or massage with his lips. When he pulled his head back in one wet suck, he heard Honiahaka sigh and he seemed to melt all over.

"Oh, Keme. What did I do to deserve this? I should do it more often. . . ."

Keme pulled his mouth away to smile.

"No, please don't stop . . ." Honiahaka whispered. He pulled the sheet away, and Keme looked up to see him weak with pleasure, his brows together, his chest heaving. "I . . . I want to see you . . ." He swallowed as if it was hard to say, and Keme's smile widened.

Crouched over Honiahaka, Keme slowly massaged his cock in his fist but he didn't move to continue sucking him. He wanted to hear this. "What do you want, Honi?"

Honiahaka's cheeks flamed the tiniest bit, but his icy blue eyes burned bright with desire as he whispered, "I want to see you suck my cock."

Keme felt himself stand erect. The tone of Honiahaka's voice . . . it had never been so deliciously deep, so intense with feeling until that moment. Keme bowed his head and devoured Honiahaka at once.

Keme could feel the pre-cum seeping from his dick as he worked his lips, and he wanted to smile each time a flick of his tongue made Honiahaka's muscles tighten, made him gasp or moan. He heard the sun chief as he shifted to sit up on his elbow, and then his big paw clapped on Keme's head. He gently pressed, and Keme choked as the soft head of Honiahaka's cock pressed the back of his throat. His lips tightened on the shaft as it slid deeper. Honiahaka paused, then pressed again. His cock pushed even deeper, sliding carefully against Keme's hot breath, against his wet tongue and through his spit. Keme felt his dick throb as he realized: they were deep-throating.

"A little more," Honiahaka whispered, his eyes serious with satisfaction. His fingers curled in Keme's mane, caressing a moment before he pressed again.

Keme resisted his gag reflex as Honiahaka's big cock slid even further. He felt his throat opening to admit him, tightening, flexing against the intrusion of this cock. He wanted nothing more than to make his lips touch Honiahaka's balls as he sucked him. He remembered seeing Talisa doing it that night on the ship and it hit him for the first time that she had deep-throated Honiahaka with effortless ease.

Determined now, Keme caressed Honiahaka's balls and strained to devour more length. Honiahaka pressed on his head again, and with their efforts combined, Keme felt more of his dick admitted in his throat. Triumphant, he tightened his lips and flexed his tongue. He heard Honiahaka gasp.

"A-Ahh - !"

Honiahaka's dick twitched against Keme's lips, and Keme choked as it happened: the sun chief's hot fluids rush to fill his throat. He pulled his mouth away as he sputtered to swallow. The swallowing part was more difficult than he had imagined. He bowed his head breathlessly for a long time and smiled to feel Honiahaka's paw lovingly stroking his mane.

"Are . . . you alright?" the sun chief whispered breathlessly. "I probably should have asked before I . . . had you . . ."

Keme laughed. "Probably."

". . . but since you basically snuck in my room and were blowing me anyway . . ." Honiahaka said with a half-smile. He let his voice trail into silence, and Keme looked up to find him staring, his pale eyes warm with lust. Without warning, he pushed Keme down on the bed, and after leaving a trail of kisses down his chest and rippling belly, he sucked him until he came in his mouth.

Lying content in Honiahaka's arm some minutes later, Keme smiled to himself as the pleasure still tingled on his dick. Honiahaka was so good at that.

"I never get tired," Honiahaka brushed a strand of hair from Keme's eyes, "of sucking your dick. I could get used to you sneaking in my room at night. But what brought it on?" His eyes danced over Keme curiously.

Keme's eyes shifted to the side. "I snuck in to see Seleste, and Kel - uh - caught us . . ."

"Ah." Honiahaka grinned. "Caught you and kicked you to the curb."

"Yup. What about you? I thought you might have been at Talisa's."

"I was. I . . ." Honiahaka paused and cleared his throat.

Why did Honiahaka suddenly sound so nervous? Keme sat up on his elbow and regarded him. "What is it, Honi? You and Talisa argue again?"

"I asked her to marry me," Honiahaka said. Lying on his back, he looked up at Keme and grinned. "I asked her and - she said yes!"

Keme laughed. "Finally! What brought her to her senses?"

"What brought you to yours?" Honiahaka asked pointedly.

Keme paused. "How did you . . . know I . . .?"

Honiahaka grinned. "I _know_you, Keme. I also know your family. As soon as they explained that not marrying Seleste would mean losing her to someone else, you ran over there and claimed her, didn't you? All this time, you labored under the delusion that she could rule in the summer village alone. Then you realized she would have to have a male at her side, and you panicked."

Keme rolled his eyes guiltily. "Yeah. You're right, I . . . I can't stand the thought of losing her." He frowned sadly.

Honiahaka smoothed his paw over Keme's, his eyes soft with affection. "I heard Kel and Aliona discussing it while you were off with Zaldon. They are very worried for you, Keme. It's a dangerous game to play, sleeping with a princess. Not to mention . . ." Honiahaka cleared his throat miserably.

"Us," Keme finished for him. "We can't do this anymore."

Honiahaka shook his head sadly against the pillows. "No," he confirmed, "we can't. I have to question the wisdom of you being in my bed, here and now." He pinched the flesh between his eyes, and he suddenly looked very tired and sad.

Keme lay down again, and resting his cheek against Honiahaka's shoulder, he smoothed his paw over his hard chest, down his rippling belly, and back up again. He smiled sadly when the sun chief's big arm enfolded him. Honiahaka rested his cheek on Keme's mane, and they cuddled close as moonlight streamed across the bed.

"So what made you get up the nerve?" Keme whispered. "You told me Talisa hated your father and that she'd never marry you."

"And I still believed as much," Honiahaka answered. "I walked her home after the festivities. We wound up sitting up by the fire, talking for a long time. We talked about Kota and everything we had lost . . . and we realized . . . we didn't want to lose each other too." Honiahaka looked down at Keme, and they shared a smile.

"I'm glad. You two need each other."

"As do you and Seleste. Take care of each other."

"I promise."

Honiahaka sighed miserably.

"What is it?"

"I'm going to miss this," the sun chief admitted with a laugh. "You in my bed, in my arms. You kissing me. You . . . touching me. To think I could know this bliss with you, and now you're going to be chief of the summer tribe, and . . . we can't anymore. To be honest, I'm a little terrified. If they ever found out . . ." He shook his head. "I don't know what the summer wolves would do.

"There was a terrible uprising when Seleste was exiled. Word arrived here from the sun village seeking aid from my father some time ago. They needed lumber to rebuild after the fires, they needed food, young warriors to help them and protect them. Many young males died in the struggle, as well as young mothers, elders . . . pups. My father sent all the help he could, but the summer wolves are still on edge."

Keme snorted. "Sounds like they've got enough problems to deal with without worrying about who _I_fucked."

Honiahaka smiled. "Let's hope so."

"Is my family alright? Do you know?"

"Yes. Your aunt Zalia sent a letter to Enya. Everyone is fine. Some of them lost their houses, but they're fine."

Keme sagged. That was good to know. Not that he had really worried: if his parents had died, Kel would have told him. His parents . . .

"So, Honi?"

"Hmm?"

"What's with the shemale books?" Keme said darkly.

"Oh, you saw those?" Honiahaka said apologetically.

"Unfortunately."

"Well, you know me. I want to know everything about everything, especially shemales. When I was a little boy, a shemale came to the village gates asking to enter. Word spread quickly around the village and I begged my father to let me go and see her. Shemales were considered something of a myth back then. It had been so long since anyone had seen one, we had stopped believing they existed. Father restricted me to the hut the entire day, even though the shemale was chased away hours before. I always hated that they were so cruel to her . . .

"After that I became fascinated. I wanted to understand why the shemales were still hated. After all, many tribes who were once at war eventually learned to reconcile their differences," Honiahaka said with a shrug. "There was a time when those of the moon and those of the sun hated each other and struggled for power over the trade route. During that time, the sun village was much larger, spreading some way across the wastelands. The many battles with those of the moon diminished our numbers. Those who remember call it the Cold Era. The era ended when my father - er - became allies with Chieftess Iyira."

Keme grinned. "You mean your dad fucked the moon chieftess."

"To put it bluntly," Honiahaka said with a laugh.

Now Honiahaka's fascination with shemales made perfect sense. Keme smirked. He probably got a kick out of having them sucking his dick and feeding him with their little fingers back when they were captured.

"So . . . you only like me because I'm shemale?" Keme teased. He went very still when Honiahaka's paw slid under the covers. It smoothed down his muscular back and closed hard on his ass.

"I like a lot of things about you," he whispered.

Keme saw Honiahaka stiffen under the sheets. "Honi . . ." he began uncertainly.

Honiahaka cupped Keme's face with one paw and peered into his eyes. "Keme, you're my friend and I love you. If this is my last chance to know you in my arms, I'll take it. Don't you want this? One last time?"

Seeing the fire in Honiahaka's gaze, Keme closed his eyes. "Yes, Honi. I want it." God, he wanted. Because he loved him, too. He knew so long as he lived, he'd never have another friend like the sun chief.

Still cupping his face, Honiahaka kissed Keme - gently at first, then hard, hungry, and with a passion that aroused him. As their soft moans and cries filled the room, Keme knew Honiahaka inside a last time, and he knew there would never be another male who could touch him so deeply again.
