Shade
#1 of Shade
Chapter one of my new pokemon fanfiction series.
Shade
We were walking down route 35. I had just received a Squirtle watering can from a flora girl. I looked down at my Umbreon, Shade. She was my first pokemon. She was always calm, and aggressive when needed, but today it seemed like something was bothering her.
I was just about to ask her what was wrong, when I heard Lyla shouting from behind. "Gold!!! Gold, wait up!" she shouted. I stopped and waited for her to catch up. "Hey. What's up?" she asked.
"Nothing. Just going to Ecruteak City." I replied.
"Oh. I was going to the pokemon park. It's Saturday you know!" And with that, she ran off ahead of me.
"What an odd kid." I muttered. I looked down at Shade to already see her looking at me curiously. "What?" I asked.
"Um!" she smiled. She nuzzled against my leg.
"Alright. Do you want to stop and rest?" I asked. She sat down and nodded. I got my fold-up tent out of my backpack. I set it up as fast as I could. "How long was that, Shade?" I asked. We had this thong where I would set up the tent as fast as I could, and try to beat the previous score. I looked at the ground at Shade's feet. There were 11 scores. "Man. One minute behind. Well, I guess that's what happens when you stay in a city for a few nights."
We walked into the tent just as rain had started to pour. "Ha! Lucky timing, huh?" I asked. I set my sleeping bag out and laid down inside of it. Shade nudged her way inside. A moment later, her head was peaking out on top of my chest. "Did you know it was going to rain?" I asked.
"Umbre." She shook her head.
"I guess we're just lucky, huh?" I asked.
She nodded, closed her eyes, and soon fell asleep. I stroked her fur and soon dozed off myself.
Author's notes:
I wanted to do some kind of pokemon chapter series other that the shorts I have right now. i had trouble with the main pokemon, but then I asked myself, "Who's your favorite Eeveelution?". Mine is Glaceon, but the music I listen to told me to pick Umbreon. I hope this series turns out good! See ya guys!!!
