#3 of The Legend of Zelda: The Totem King

ch three

When I woke up, I climbed to the center chamber, which was four or five yards from the ground. I opened the fridge and took out a bottle of Mountain Honey. I sipped that sweet nectar while reading a story of one of Link's reincarnations. This one was about the Twilight Princess, where he became a wolf to destroy a great demon, and saved the twilight princess.

"Link!"

That was Zelda's voice.

"I'm up here," I yelled out the window. Suddenly, in a flash of light, she was in the living room, standing next to me. "Oh my god, what are you doing in here? It's a beautiful day out!"

"You sound like mom," I answered

"At least you could watch my practice." She started to pout, and, well... Oh who can resist her when she does that? I placed a bookmark in The Twilight Princess, and I jumped out the door. On contact with the loamy soil, I rolled, popped up, and started running. In a flash, literally, Zelda was running beside me. Soon, we were at the training ground. I took a practice sword, and started doing my rounds, Raps, Snaps, Backhands, and Stabs. Zelda practiced complicated magic spells, like fireball, or lightning. I started sparing with one of the larger guys, and I was winning, but then I heard a scream. I turned, and saw Zelda being dragged off by three burly goons. I ran towards them, but was struck from behind.

While drifting in and out of conciousness, I dremt that a spirit of a great wolf was standing above me, and was speaking. It said, "To save the princess, you must enter the Forest of the Totem. Then, enter the spirit tree, and become your true being." It faided away, and as it did, I recognised it as the wolf that Link of legend had turned into, from the triforce that was glowing on his forehead. As I woke, I saw men standing around me. One of them was my father, another was the king, Darus.

THE KING?!?!?!?

I sat bolt upright, almost hitting the heads of those surrounding me. "Are you alright, lad?" asked Darus. I shook my head, muttering, "How can I be? She's gone." I pulled my hands along my face, and said, "We need to go after them."

"Who?" asked Dad. "The ones who kidnapped Zelda!" I whispered. "They must've left some sort of trail. We need to find it!"

"Zelda?" asked King Darus, "You mean the queen from legend?"

"No! I mean, no, sir. I mean your daughter."

Darus took me by the shoulder, and said, "Boy, I am sorry to say this, but... I have no daughter. Never have."
