"Danny! Danny!" Was all Danny could here. He tried opening his eyes, but was too weak to even reply. He didn't have any idea what was going on, but he knew it wasn't good. He tried opening his eye, and managed to see he was in an ambulance car. One of the medics tried asking him if I was okay, but he wasn't able to reply. "Get me a defibulator!" One shouted. "Hurry! Hurry!" We're starting to lose him! "Here!" One said handing over the defibulator. "Clear!" At that moment, Danny felt a moment of shock surge through his body and he once again, passed out.

Danny still felling woosy, managed to wake up and open his eyes. When he opened his eyes, he saw he was in a room. He started scanning the room which looked pretty nice; white curtains, light blue walls, and a table with flowers in the center of it. He tried getting up, but when he tried, pain surged through his entire body and he just decided to lay down for a bit.

"What happened?..." Danny said to himself. Danny tried to focus his mind and tried to remember what happened.

"Okay, I just got home, went straight to my room, went to sleep and heard a bang.. That was pretty much it.." He told himself.

"Wait.. What about Mom?!?"

"Mom! Mom!" Danny called out. He was frankly terrified something may have happened to her. Danny attempted to get up, but the pain was keeping him from getting up. A nurse who looked like an otter, then swiftly came into the room and stopped Danny. Danny tried fighting back, but it was useless.

"Please dear, stop." The nurse said getting some pills. "You took quite a shock there and you need your body to rest. If you're wondering about your mother, she's alright waiting in the lobby for you."

Danny sighed with a relief. He followed the nurses's instructions and laid back down.

"I know you feel like asking a million questions about what just happened, but you should just rest for now." Amy went over to a cabinet and got some pills out; with some water for Danny to drink.

"Here." The nurse gave Danny the pills and a cup of water. "Drink these pills, they should decrease your pain for now."

"Thanks.." Danny said in a mumble. He quickly drank the pills and lied back down.

Danny lay there quitely while the nurse grabbed some materials out from the cabinets. He then looked to his left and noticed his phone was on the table. It was very faint, but he could see it said '1 unread message'. Danny knew it was from Jake so he was tempted to ask the nurse to give it to him.

"Uh.. Hello? Mrs. Nurse? Do you mind grabbing my phone for me?" He asked politely.

"Yeah, sure. Also, no need to call me 'Mrs. Nurse', just call me Amy." She said grabbing his phone and handing it over to him.

"Sure thing. Thanks Amy."

"My pleasure" she said.

Danny quickly turned on his phone and read the message.

'Hey dude! Are you okay? I tried calling you and your mom picked and she sounded terrified and said you were unconscious or something. Please message back, I'm worried. Your friend,

-Jake.'

Though Danny has been through a lot of pain, he savored this words Jake sent him. 'I'm worried.' He knew he had a girlfriend, but those words just made him feel happy. Danny then tried to text him back, but he accidentally dropped his phone.

"Oh!" He said. Amy then quickly ran over and gave it to him.

"Texting your boyfriend there?" She said giving his phone back to Danny.

"It's none of your business! And he's not my boyfriend!" He said yelling at her, red of embarrassment. Danny didn't know why he yelled at her, but he could tell she looked sad.

"Y-yes, you're right. I apologize for my behavior."

"No.. I should apologize to you.. I'm sorry. I'm just stressed out about everything.."

"Do you need to talk about it?" She asked. "That's if you want to.. I won't force you."

"That's fine. I actually do want to talk about it."

Danny then started talking about how he met Jake and how he fell in love with him. But he had a girlfriend and he didn't have a chance of being with him. The nurse listened very carefully and nodded.

"I see what you're going through. I went through the same thing in highschool with a similar guy... But lucky for me, I managed to go out with the guy of my dreams." She said, though it didn't make Danny feel better. Amy started to notice his sadness, and quickly changed the subject.

"But anyways, my point is. If you truly love him, you should embrace it. So what if he turns you down? If you manage to admit it to him, you'll have something off your chest. Once that's done, you can find other 'fish in the sea.'

"Well, yeah... But I really love Jake... I just want to be with him, and only him."

"Then do what you have to do in order to be with him. No matter how long it takes, you should be with him. Love is a strange animal, Y'know. So, you never know what may happen."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. Thanks for this talk Amy, it really helped." He said with a smile.

"Glad I could help" she said. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to work" she said leaving and closing the door behind her.

Danny knew he felt better after his talk. He started feeling sleepy and so he tried to rest. But before he could rest, he heard a muffle from behind the door.

"I want to see my son! I want to make sure he's okay." He could hear her mother talk to the nurse, so she allowed her to go in.

"Danny! Are you okay?" She said in a frightened cry.

"Yeah mom. I'm fine! No need to get so worked up."

"I just got worried. I thought I almost lost you!" She said shuddering in tears. "I didn't want to lose my only baby pup..."

"It's fine Mom. Amy was just helping me out" he said looking at the otter.

"Mrs. Kane?" She said. "Would you mind allowing Danny some alone time? He needs some rest after that shock he took earlier."

"Okay Danny, I'm going to go. I have to tell your father at home what happened. I promise to come back tomorrow and pick you up, alright?"

"Okay Mom."

"I love you" she said walking out the door.

"I love you too." He said yawning groggily.

Danny did feel better. He knew he had to tell Jake his feelings, but he didn't have the courage. But for now, he should rest and sleep it off. Danny's eyes felt heavy, and he slowly drifted to sleep...

Danny suddenly awoke, slowly, from the noise of a conversation next to him. When he turned and looked, he noticed it was Jake. "He really came to see me?.." He said to himself. Danny was so happy, he just wanted to sob tears of happiness. But he knew he had to stay strong.

"Jake?.." He said in a weak, low voice.

"Danny! Are you okay?"

"Yeah.. I think so, that is. Whatever your definition of 'okay' is." Danny said.

"Man, I'm glad you're okay. I got real worried."

There it was again. Those 2 words that made him feel happy. But this time, he heard those words from Jake. Danny couldn't help but smile.

"I'm fine.. Really, no need to get worried, especially about me."

They sat there in silence trying to think of what to say next.

"O-oh, so erm... Where's Samantha? I'd thought she'd be with you."

"Oh yeah, well Samantha wanted to go for a walk by the park. We decided it was too late to go around the park, so we decided to walk home. As we walked, I decided to text you, until your mom said you were unconscious. Which is when I went home immediately; leaving Samantha, and grabbed my car and came over to see you.

Danny couldn't help but blush. He never knew he'd leave Samantha just to come and see him. All those thoughts that gave him negative feeling, quickly faded away after hearing Jake say that. Danny wanted to say something when suddenly he felt a sharp pain run through his left arm.

"Aarrghh!" he yelled out. Jake was too surprised after hearing his fellow wolf cry friend.

"Danny! Don't worry! I'm gonna go get a doctor!" Jake quickly got out his seat and swiftly ran to find a doctor.

Danny coped with the pain. "Why now??" He said to himself. "I was enjoying the moment.."

Just then, he saw Jake and a doctor come in.

"Are you okay son? Your friend told me you just felt a large amount of pain? It's fine, i'll fix it."

The doctor went over to the cabinet and got out a shot.

"Needle?!?!?" Danny thought in his mind.

"Nononononononono, not needles!"

"It's okay soon, this won't hurt one bit."

The doctor grabbed Danny's right arm and injected shot. The pain was even worse. Danny wanted to cry out but he held it in. Seconds later, he felt a lot better and the pain started going away.

"Feeling better now?" The doctor asked.

Danny simply nodded and he lay back down. The doctor nodded and left the room. Before he left, he told Danny if there was anything he needed, he'd just call him. Danny nodded as well and lay there quietly.

"Hey Danny, I gotta go. My parents are worried where I'm at, and I don't want them to get worried. I really want to stay with you, but seems I can't. I'll stay anyways if you want." Jake said.

"No, it's fine." Danny said. "I'll be fine on my own. Really, you don't want to make your parents worried." Danny said with a smile.

"Okay, I'll see you later if I can." Jake said heading out the door.

:"Yeah... Later..."

Danny was happier than ever. He hated how he had to be in a hospital bed for the next day or so, but those words Jake said... Just made him feel alive. If Danny would die right this moment, he would die with no regrets. Danny yawned and scratched his head.

"Shot must have a sleepy side affect to it..." Danny closed his eyes and slowly drifted into a soft, warm sleep. He couldn't help but smile; and he started to allow his dreams to take over.....
