SUMMARY/BACKGROUD

Pre-Story

Cody grew up in the village of Yartz, along the banks of the western end of the Dalton River, a village who's population consisted primarily of foxes. The village was a well know trading town, filled with as many brothels as market places.

His father owned one of these brothels, his mother one of the whores that worked there. Despite his parents relationship, Cody grew up happy and never wanted for anything. He was popular among the other furs his age, but his best friend was a fox called Tyrone.

Cody and Tyrone were inseparable, Tyrone's mother also worked in the same brothel that his mother did, but Tyrone didn't know his father. One day they sneaked into another brothel, one that Cody's father had forbidden him to go near, and saw not males and females like in the brothel his father owned. They saw males mating with other males. This peaked their interest, and over a few weeks managed to pluck up the courage to talk about it with each other. They both wanted to know what it was like, so they kissed.

After that Cody and Tyrone would sneak off to kiss and try some other things that they saw that day, they became something more than friends. One day they got carried away and were seen by Cody's father. His father flew into a rage; beating both of them. After his father swore that he would never see Tyrone again Cody ran away, desperate to find his friend and too scared to go back home.

He hid in a wagon that was boarding a ship due to sail up the Dalton River, after a couple of days he was discovered. He expected to be beaten, thrown off the ship or worse, taken back home to his father. But none of these things happened, he was taken in by the owner of the wagon and his other companions. It didn't take long for Cody to come out of his shell with the help of Aceh, who taught the fox that it was okay to like other males. Since then the merchant group became his family and he has travelled with them ever since.

'A Place to Belong'

After Cody and his friends take Malakye in, after finding him unconscious from his wounds, he tries to befriend him despite his reluctance to talk to him. Eventually he gets Malakye to open up and they become friends. But Cody being Cody wants to be more than just friends, but he suspects that Malakye is not fond of male/male relationships during a conversation. So he bides his time, not wanting to risk the friendship purely for sex.

But time and time again he finds himself worrying about the Dragolf and can't help but side by his bedside each and every time something happens to him. Eventually Malakye returns his feelings, and attempts to engage him in a sexual encounter, an encounter Cody is eager to participate in.
