Enter the Fangirl, and Hello Unova!

Rebecca White stood there at the railing, watching the boat come in with new people. All her live, the native-born and raised Unovan had watched the boats come in on the dot every year, sending in new trainers who wanted to challenge the League. And tomorrow, Rebecca would be able to do just that.

"Hey sis, watching the boats again?" Rebecca turned her head to look at her brother, Samuel. Rebecca chuckled.

"Yeah, well, tomorrow, I get to join the people on those boats," she told him. Samuel shook his head.

"Becca, that's if half the people on that boat are competitive trainers to begin with," he told her. "I mean, look at me! I haven't even gotten past Burgh yet!"

"Yeah, well, that's because you haven't gotten Chance to respect you yet," Rebecca stated, referring to Samuel's Pokemon, a Sceptile that used to belong to their father.

"Hey sis, who's the guy with the shiny Lucario?" Samuel asked, pointing. Rebecca glanced at the boat and gasped.

"Oh sweet Arceus, it's him!" Rebecca squealed, fan-girling loudly in her brother's ears.

"Who dangit?!" Samuel asked, wincing. His sister looked at him, shocked.

"Sam, it's G! The winner of the Hoenn League, and finalist in the Indigo League, both regions!" she told him excitedly. Sam looked at G as he and the Lucario got off the boat.

"Yeah, and? Why are you so obsessed about him?"

Rebecca's eyes glazed over. "Those abs...." she muttered dreamily. Sam, appropriately enough, was creeped out.

"Sis, TMI," he said, backing away. "Anyway, I'm heading home. Mom's making pasta tonight, and I'd like to get it while its hot," he added, turning around to head home. Rebecca groaned as she looked down at the docks. There he was. Her hero... on the other hand, it wasn't often her mother made pasta. That, and tomorrow was not only her birthday, but it was the day she could finally have a Pokemon of her own to train.

Sighing, Rebecca turned and headed, wondering what her hero was doing.

G groaned as he looked down at the clipboard in his hands. He had been in Unova for two hours already... and he still wasn't done with all the damned paperwork getting INTO the region. 'And I thought LAWYERS had it rough with the paperwork,' he thought as filled out yet another line, this one detailing his past travels in Hoenn. 'I mean fuck, the shit on this clipboard reproduces faster than Lopunny.'

[I believe you don't have to fill out the rest of the paperwork after this, except for Kalos, right?] Lucian asked, bored out of his mind. G nodded.

"Yep," he commented, looking around the room. Everyone else was just as bored, if not even more bored than the two of them. "And Kalos will be easy. Reason for leaving: the beaches scare the fuck out of me." The pair shared a single shudder at the memory.

[Don't remind me,] Lucian said. [That is a memory I would gladly like to forget.] The two of them went silent as G finished filling out the paperwork. A few minutes later, the human sighed in relief and got up. Lucian took that as his cue and together, the two of them went up to the front desk.

"Name?" asked the obviously bored receptionist. G slid the clipboard over to the receptionist. Said receptionist looked down and then back up at him. "Registration is through the left door, third door on the left straight ahead," the receptionist droned before looking back down at a magazine. G looked at Lucian and shrugged.

Together, the relatively mismatched pair walked through the door, down the hall, and into a room half full with trainers getting registered. Taking a number from a wall mounted dispenser, G leaned on the wall and waited. Thankfully, he didn't have to wait long.

Getting to the next open agent, G looked up, smiling slightly. "So, first time in Unova?" the agent asked. G chuckled.

"Second time actually. Just haven't been here in a while," G replied as he relaxed. "Here to take on the League, meet up with some old friends, you know, the usual." The agent laughed.

"Yeah, don't I know it. Anyway, smile for the camera."

Five minutes and a flash of light later, G was holding a brand new Unovan trainer card, and even Lucian admired it. [Well, at least green is your color,] the Lucario commented. G chuckled.

"Yeah, well, I would have preferred blue," he said as he stopped to breath in the brisk spring air. "So, now that that's over with, what do you want to do?"

[Well, I want a bite to eat, first of all,] Lucian stated. [Second, we need a place to rest for the night.]

"Solved. Hotel rooms are right next to the docks," G commented as he looked around for anywhere good to eat. "Next point you want to raise?"

[Third, what starter are you picking tomorrow?]

G smiled as he closed his eyes. "Lucian, I made that decision a pretty long time ago," he said. "Oh hey look, a Burger Fool!"

[...tempting as horrible tasting fast food sounds right now, I say no,] Lucian said. [Besides, Serena needs to watch what she eats.] G looked at his friend, eyebrow raised.

"Is that more than friendly concern I hear?" G asked teasingly. Lucian was quick to shake his head.

[I'm concerned about her wellbeing as her team mate, and not in that way,] Lucian stated. G smiled cheekily as he turned his head away.

"Whatever you say to make yourself feel better," he said. "So, how does orange chicken sound?"

[....that might actually be a good idea,] Lucian conceded. [Are you the one cooking?]

"No. Why?"

[Thank Arceus. Sometimes your cooking is horrible, and I mean that in a polite way,] Lucian said, smirking.

"Hey, it was one time, and you know that chef swapped the ingredients when I wasn't looking!" G retorted as they walked to a seaside restaurant dealing in Orange Islands cuisine.

Later that night...

It was quiet and still in Nuvema as a pair of dark clad figures headed to the esteemed Professor Juniper's lab. "Hey, Aerith, do you really think this is a good idea?" one of them asked as they came within sight of the building. Aerith glanced at the speaker in irritation.

"Bob, we have orders, and those orders say liberate the Pokemon in that lab," she said. "Now shut up, or you're going to attract attention!"

"Too late."

The pair of would be thieves whipped around and paled as they saw what it was that was behind them, just before they were punched in the face.

Rebecca was walking down Route One, exhausted and frustrated. The rookie trainer had gotten her first Pokemon earlier today, and while Jade, her Snivy, was a great battler, she hadn't quite yet warmed up to her. To top it all off, Cheren had challenged her to find and capture as many Pokemon as possible on the way to Accumula. Suddenly, she heard a great shout, and a slight earth moving KA-BOOM!

Running to where a dust cloud was forming, Rebecca looked at the spectacle in shock and awe. There before her was her idol, G, and that Lucario from yesterday, and they were... sparring?! The two of them were weaving in and out of each other's range, avoiding attacks, and it just seemed so... natural, that Rebecca almost pinched herself to make sure it wasn't a dream.

Suddenly, the two of them stopped. "Hey, you enjoying the show or something?" G asked, looking directly at Rebecca. Rebecca let out a very uncharacteristic for her squeak of embarrassment before spilling her guts out.

"I'msorryIwaspeekingIjustsawtheexsplosionandIwascuriousandthereyouwerefightingwithyourLucarioandohArceusIcan'tbelieveI'mtalkingtoyou!" she said hurriedly, her face getting redder and redder with each word she said. For their parts, G and Lucian looked only slightly confused.

"Sooo... you saw me and Lucian sparring, and you freaked out?" G asked calmly. Rebecca nodded, not trusting her mouth. "Umm, okay. Well, hey, if you'd like, I can keep you company until Accumula. That sound fair?"

Rebecca nodded, her face now rivaling a stop sign in color. G simply had to sigh.

He knew a lot of things. Having a fangirl travelling with him? There was not a single page in any survival manual about how to deal with that.
