Jake knew he was gay and loved Danny. He wanted to be with him forever, but what would the others think of him? What if Danny wasn't gay? He then slowly drifted into a deep sleep, still with many questions scattered in his mind.

~Jake P.O.V~

Jake awoke in a locker room and, felt a hard numbness in his leg, and a great deal of pain throughout his entire body. The locker room looked very familiar... Just liked the ones he used when he went to basketball practice. He stood up trying to regain balance but quickly fell onto the floor.

"Where am I?... Am I dreaming?... Is this the lockers room?..." Questions scattered through is mind all at once giving his injury that he received earlier today from Danny, a great deal of pain. He soon judged it safe and attempted to stand back up. Luckily, he was able to.

He was still dizzy and in pain, but he managed to walk down the quiet corridor of the locker rooms. He took a quick right turn and saw a bright light down the way. He started to approach it.

As he approached it, it became clear that it looked like a stadium.

He stepped outside and saw it was a stadium full of millions and millions of people... He then noticed he was wearing his basketball shorts and shirt.

He quickly saw his teammates lined up and decided to join them.

"All right team, this is the big game we've been waiting for." The coach said. "We have been practicing for a long time to get to this point, and I don't want anyone ruining it for us."

The whole team nodded, including Jake, but he quickly turned and noticed that Danny was sitting in the front row seat, he was cheering for him.

The Coach quickly caught sight on what was going and and yelled at Jake.

"Is that your boyfriend Jake?! We don't allow fags on our team!" Jake looked up, but didn't reply.

"I'm gonna ask you again Jake. Is that your boyfriend, or not?!" Jake quickly replied, "No coach! I've never seen that person ever in my life coach!"

Jake replied it so loud, Danny heard it loud and clear. Danny stared at Jake in Disbelief and in sadness.

Jake wanted to tell the truth, but he was too afraid. Just then, his inner conscious started speaking.

"What are you exactly afraid of? You're turning on Danny because of what others think of you? You're pathetic..." His inner voice kept on talking until it stopped speaking again.

His inner voice then said one last thing before it ceased to speak again, "The worst mistake you'll ever make in your life is walking away from the person that stood there and waited for you.."

Danny lost contact of all his emotions and just went out onto the court. Just when the game started, he noticed Danny was in tears.

Just then, Jake's heart started to sting in pain. "What is this feeling?... Is it guilt?..." Just as he started to come back to reality, he saw Danny get up and walk away.

"No, what have I done?!?" He said to him self. "Danny! Please come back!" He yelled. But it was already too late, Danny had already left.

Just at that exact moment, a big orange ball with black stripes came flying at him and hit him square in the head.........

"Danny!!!!" Jake yelled as he awoke.

His fur was sweaty from all over and he was shaking steadily.

"Oh... It was just a dream.." Jake sighed in thankfullness and checked his clock.

His clock read 6:55 am.

"School starts in an hour... better get ready." He told him self.

Jake got up and immediately stripped and headed to the shower. He was still dizzy and drowsy from his injury; especially his nightmare.

He turned on the water and set it too cold to get his mind focused again.

"Was that dream trying to tell me something?... Should I listen to my inner voice and tell Danny my true feelings?..." So many questions scattered through his head as he stood there.

Jake quickly finished his morning routine of getting ready, and went straight to school.

~Danny's P.O.V~

"Ah, Jake!" Danny yelled and he quickly woke up.

"Aww man, it was just a dream..."

"Wait what am I saying?? I just had a dream about Jake and I'm disappointed it's over?"

It was probably his worryness he had when he had the poor wolf in the head. Danny still felt guilty over what he did and felt like he needed to visit him to make sure he's okay. Just then, Danny's inner voice started speaking.

"You know you love him, just tell him your true feelings. You can't behind the closet forever.... If you don't say anything soon, Jake will belong to someone else..."

"Shut up!" Danny said to him self. "I'm not gay! I'm just worried about my friend!"

Just then, Danny's Mom called. "Danny honey.... Are you okay?.."

"Yeah Mom!" Danny replied. "It was just a dream that's all!"

"Are you sure you haven't been doing drugs or drinking Danny? You know how I'm always worried about you."

"Mom! Of course I don't drink or do drugs! I just had a little dream, that's all."

"Okay sweetie, I just wanted to make sure. Now you better hurry up now, school starts in 45 minutes."

"Oh crap!" Danny said to him self. He quickly flung off his bed and went to the bathroom. He took a quick shower and put on his clothes. He then started heading downstairs and went out the door sprinting, hoping he isn't late.

"Wait, Danny! You forgot your lunch!"

"It's okay Mom! I'll do just fine without lunch! I'll just eat the school's lunch!

"Damn..." He said to himself. There was a reason he brought lunch from home rather than eating at school. All the food at his school disgusted him in every way possible.

"Oh well..." He said. "At least It's better than nothing..."

He quickly ran down the road and went straight to school....

~Back to Jake~

School was like a breeze to Jake. He got decent good grades, and was adored by the teachers. He then looked up at the clock and it was '7:45 am'.

"Just enough time to go to the library and think this through a bit..."

Jake went straight toward the library and sat down. He was pretending he was reading a book, but was really thinking about what happened in his dream.

He started thinking things through and noticed the clock.

'7:55'

"Oh snap!" Class is about to start in 5 minutes!"

Jake quickly got his things and sprinted out the door. He ran toward his class at full speed. He then took a sudden right toward a corner and bumped into someone.

*THUMP* was all he heard and he hit the ground at full force.

"Ow..." He said. The pain from yesterday started to come back.

When he was able to see clearly again, he noticed who it was. It was Danny!

"Oh Danny! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you!.." He said. Danny was still rubbing his head from the impact and glanced at Jake.

"It's fine.. It's payback anyway from what I did to you yesterday..."

Jake then felt guilt all over again. It was the same feeling from his dream. He didn't want to see Danny like that, so he helped him up.

"Here" He extended his paw and Danny took a hold of it and got up. Just at that exact moment when Danny took his paw, he felt a rush of excitement.

"His paw is so soft..." Jake thought in his mind. It felt like holding hundreds of soft roses in his hands... The feeling was unbelievable..

"Uh... Jake? You okay?" Jake then snapped back to reality and saw he was still holding his hand.

He quickly let go and blushed.

"Oh, I'm sorry Danny! I just got lost in my thoughts... That's all..."

"Oh, that's fine. Anyways, I gotta head to class. Catcha later at lunch?"

"Yeah sure!" Jake said, his canine muzzle was smiling.

Danny then nodded with a smile, and walked towards his class.

"Ughhhh...." Jake said. "Danny is too overwhelming for me..."

"I just have to stop thinking about him. He's not gay and I should be okay with it." He said to him self.

Though in his heart, Jake could never be okay. He truly loved Danny with all his canine heart and wanted to be together with him 'till the very last.

With that being said, Jake cleared his mind and walked off straight to class before the teachers would scold at him for being late....

~The Bathroom Nightmare ~

Danny was glad it was lunch time. He couldn't bear another minute with Mr. Lafro, who was lecturing everyone about how we need to be mature and responsible.

It wasn't enough he had to deal with that, but also hold in the feelings he had for Jake.

Danny didn't feel so well so he headed to the bathroom. In the bathroom he turned on the faucet and washed his face with cold, refreshing water.

"Oooh.." Danny said. "This feels much better."

Danny did it for a few more minutes and then cleaned his face. He then noticed something different... He wasn't in the bathroom anymore.

"Hello?!?!" Danny yelled. "Can anybody hear me?!?!"

Danny was scared. He was in a small, dark room with nothing but darkness.

"Anybody! Help me! I'm trapped!"

No matter how loud he was, no one could hear him.

"It's okay Danny... It's just an illusion..." He told him self.

"He then noticed the dark, black walls had red writing on it. The writing was faint, but he could clearly see what it said. He shocked in disbelief.

It said 'Fag' in bright, bloody looking red. It was every where. On the walls, on the floor, and on the ceiling.

He then started to hear voices taunting him, calling him a fag from every direction.

"Stop it!" He yelled. "Make it stop!"

Danny couldn't take it anymore. He was so afraid. He then once again, shut his eyes and everything went silent.

He opened his eyes once again and saw he was in the bathroom again. "What... Just happened?.." He asked a question he didn't want an answer to.

He just felt the ridicule of being gay. He loved Jake with all his heart but he didn't want to suffer.

"What do I do?!?! I want to tell Jake my true feelings.. But, I'm afraid it'll ruin me..."

"Should I tell him? What if he isn't gay? Will my friends and family hate me?"

So many questions flew around his mind and he was about to faint until someone opened the door. It was Mr. Lafro.

"Erm... Hello Danny. What are you doing in here? Shouldn't you be at lunch?"

"Oh yeah. Sorry Mr. Lafro. I just kind of dosed off... I'll be heading to lunch now."

Danny quickly scurried out of the bathroom and went straight to lunch.

"What do I do? I can't handle this. If I tell him, i'll get made fun of and suffer for the rest of my life. But if I don't, he'll never know how I feel..."

"It's probably for the best. If he isn't gay, then it'll just be a waste of time. Even if he is gay, I'll have to face being ridiculed everyday...."

"What is wrong with you?" His inner voice said. "Why do you care about what others think of you? Don't you want to be happy?"

"Well, yeah I do. But I'm too afraid." Danny replied.

"Then go show him your true feelings! Stop being pathetic and be a man!"

"I'm trying, okay?!? It isn't that easy!" Danny then shut his mouth, hoping no one heard him.

He then put his hoodie on with his tail down, and walked straight down to lunch in silence.
