Origins Chapter 3: The Liberator

*Somewhere off on another planet near the one Miles and the others are on, Hesh appears before a building holding a strange artifact in paw. He proceeds to the door and knocks. Seconds later a crocodile appears in the doorway. Hesh raises the object in his hand for the crocodile to see and after looking it over he moves aside and allows the husky inside. Hesh proceeds down a long hallway until he reaches an elevator that takes him up two levels and out into an office. There he approaches a desk where another crocodile is sitting and places the artifact on it. The crocodile slowly raises his head to reveal that it's Vector!*

Hesh: Here is what you asked for. Now keep your end of the bargain.

Vector: Hmm...*picks up and looks over the object* Very nice. With this we may get more firepower to use against BARR and that annoying Omega Galaxy, but anyways...you wanted a ship right?

Hesh: Not just a ship...I want in on Feral Force

*Vector chuckles as he looks at Hesh*

Vector: You've definitely proven to be an invaluable asset...you know the initiation right? Go to the parlor on floor B2 and get your mark...

*Hesh begins to head back to the elevator*

Vector: ...And Hesh...don't make us hunt you down

Hesh: Trust me...you guys are gonna be the ones being hunted down...

*Hesh enters the elevator and heads down, Vector smiles and scratches his chin*

Vector: "I don't trust that dog...he's up to something" *He thinks to himself as he proceeds to look over the artifact like a prized jewel*

*Hesh opens the door to the parlor, where a jackal running the tattoo vender looks over at him*

Jackal: Ah! You must be Hesh the new blood! Hehe let me give ya the mark that strikes fear into our foes!

Hesh: *Hesh walks over to the chair and waits for him to get ready* There's more to fear than a mark...

* The jackal looks at him bewildered he proceeds to give the husky the feral force emblem on his arm, a blood red wolf head baring fangs*

Jackal: Welcome to the brig new blood haha!

Hesh: Hmph.... *walks to the elevator and heads to the ship hangar bay*

*As Hesh enters the hangar he looks at the ships and sees one that he could utilize that wasn't up in his contract with Vector, in fact it was the captain's ship*

Hesh: "That one will do" *walks toward the ship, but is stopped by a bear*

Kibou: Hey fall in line pup! The briefing will start shortly!

Grunt: General Kibou!

*The bear sighs as his name is called and turns to address the person. Seeing an opportunity to escape Hesh opens his eyes and is covered in darkness and vanishes. Kibou looks back, but is surprised to see the husky is nowhere to be found*

Kibou: I could have sworn... *walks off scratching his head in confusion*

Hesh: "Only two guards watching the ship...don't wanna take em out"

*It's then that Hesh spots a bottle on a barrel next to him and picks it up. He tosses it to the other side of the hangar and both the guards jump in surprise looking toward the noise*

Guards: What was that? A stowaway!?

*Hesh slips into the ship as they go and investigate*

Hesh: ...wish it was always that easy heh but then again...*Hesh takes the pilot seat. The ship was a single pilot fast mover that packed a punch*

Hesh: Alright let's get her running...*he flips a few switches to bring the power on*

Ship AI: Power online main reserve functional. Warning! Unauthorized pilot input override code.

Hesh: Damn! Guess he wasn't that foolish...*Hesh puts his hand over the monitor fingers electricity attaches to the monitor*

AI: ...Input code correct, welcome back Vector...

*Hesh puts on the helmet its visor covering his face like a motorcycle helmet*

Hesh: They got too much power I gotta take out the life support systems before they use it to power that artifact.

*The ship begins rising from the floor*

AI: Alert! Unscheduled departure detected! Alarm will sound!

Hesh: Dang it! It's gonna be a bit of a fight...

*The alarm sounds and rings through the hangar*

Guards: Hey! There's no scheduled departure for that ship!

*several guards enter their space craft in pursuit of Hesh as he leaves the hangar and into the void*

Hesh: Gotta make this quick *turns the switches and heads for the top part of the ship*

*the monitor flips on and shows Vector on the screen*

Vector: I knew I couldn't trust you, I'm gonna hunt you down!

Hesh: Remember what I said a few hours ago?

Hesh: *Hesh opens the glass cockpit cover* You are the ones who are being hunted *Hesh pushes a green button on the dash*

AI: Autopilot engaged on standby

*Hesh opens his satchel and pulls out some explosives*

Vector: Somebody stop that mutt!!!!

*Hesh jumps out of the ship and floats landing on the life support systems. He then planted the explosives and jumps back into his ship*

Hesh: Hope ya don't mind....

*He heads speeding toward the planet below chased by two other vessels as they attempt to break the ship apart before he can reach the planet. The other pilots open fire on Hesh's ship and as he evades the raining hail fire, one of the shots lands a hit on the wing and another on the thruster*

AI: Warning! Main thrusters and severe wing damage sustained! Recommend immediate repairs!

Hesh: *growls* c'mon almost there...*the ship finally reaches the atmosphere still being tailed*

*Hesh looks back and around him a thick forest underneath it wasn't gonna be an easy landing the ship was doomed to explode on impact*

Hesh: hmm a little lower...*Hesh trims the canopy and looks behind him to see the ships still after him*

AI: Warning! Warning! Ship alti--*the speaker is smashed by Hesh's fist*

Hesh: Damn computer....*Hesh opens the cockpit once more and jumps out glowing blades in hand. He throws them into the ships' fuel tank tethered to his fingertips and snaps his fingers causing a bolt to come down on them leaving nothing but rubble and hellfire. Suddenly the monitor and Hesh fall into the trees as he looks at it he sees Vector giving him a cold stare*

Victor: You are gonna pay for this, you left me with the artifact! I got the power!

*Hesh pulls out a detonator and flips the cap up revealing the shiny red button*

Hesh: Hmph, you HAD the power....I'm cutting you off Vector...*Vector yells maniacally turning red; Hesh looks up at where the space station was and pushes the button. A large explosion visible in the sky like fireworks trimming the main power to the facility*

Hesh: That will buy the planet some time...hm? *Hesh looks down from the branch to see a wolf laying on the ground* Who...is this?
