Note to readers: This is an unfinished work, which I am going to be publishing in book form when I am finished. Please understand when things take a strange turn, they WILL be explained later. Also, I am a very heavy fan of any kind of Mecha from Anime, so if you find descriptions that are resembling those kind of machines, please just smile and nod. Legal note. I do own these characters, and this story. However, the machinery is all fake, and possibly cannot be duplicated. Also, do not under ANY circumstanses try anything you read in my stories at home, or anywhere for that matter.

Now that that is done, let us get onto the story shall we?

"Alpha Team! Bravo Team! Delta Team! Move in now! Tame that monstrosity now! On the double you pansies!"

Shouts a single voice over a dead soldier's radio, loud thumps of gunfire being hammered away in the background from a close firefight. Soon, screaming from several different men sound out from the radio, screaming at each other in panic as something advances towards their location, hammering out its own deafening thunder of gunfire.

Men whimper and scream in pure terror as the monstrosity advances, sheathed in seemingly living darkness that followed it wherever it went. When it was about to take a booming step into the light, the shadows seemingly moved with it, devouring the light, to keep the thing in darkness. Only small flashes of light from the monster seemed to illuminate it, casting an orange strobe light effect over the surrounding area. The flashes were accompanied by the cries of dying men and booming thunder as flame erupted from the holes next to the monstrosities head.

The head was revealed as it was, only by two glowing, glinting lights that shown an eerie green, constantly searching, seeking its next victim of its merciless slaughter. The lights glowed eerily in the dust and snow that was falling around it in the middle of winter, the sky already dark with dusk.

Then, it pauses, as if listening to some far away master, its hulking form silent and unmoving as it stood there. Curiously, the soldiers who had been running from the monster aimed their pitiful weaponry and fired at the demonic form that had been hunting them since dawn earlier today.

Their soft lead rounds are flung down range towards the torso of the monstrosity, creating showers of sparks as they are repelled as easily as if they were water. This got the monster's attention alright, and it continued its delayed advance, its footsteps thundering in their own accord as it's shoulders spewed flame once more, striking down the soldiers as if they were simple cans to a child's toy.

With another couple of thundering steps, the thing that seemed to be nearly invulnerable lumbers forwards in its ever continuing advance. Then, barely even a thousand yards away, the thing halts once more, it's glowing green eyes closing in what looked to be concentration.

Then, with a groan, the thing suddenly tipped forwards, falling face first to the ground beneath its feet. With a suddenly thundering crash, the creature catches itself on it's arms, the massive gleaming limbs seemingly vanishing into the ground, absorbing the momentum of its earthward journey.

As the dust settles from the falling of the giant, two more glowing eyes could be seen from the thing, shining eerily through the dust, illuminating a fair patch of gleaming armor on the things back, highly reflective in the green light. Slowly, the dust settles to the ground, the lighter material blown away by a light breeze.

When the dust settles fully, a bright flare like shot is fired upwards down the ruined street from the monstrosity, only succeeding to somehow cast it in more shadows. The shadows of the light reveal a large bulky looking pack on the back of the monster, a long tube with several other tubes below it, aligned all in one column. A large one, one small one above that, and two more small ones below the big one, all lined up in a column attached to what seems to be a backpack of some sort.

Suddenly, the large tube fills with light, growing in intensity pointing a beam of energy towards the wall near the biggest group of soldiers huddled for safety. The monstrosity adjusts it's arms, spacing them apart for more stability, as the pack suddenly issues a large burst of steam. Eight streams of a white vapor like mist shoot from different points of the pack, hiding the thing once more behind cover.

With a second or two of pure, unadulterated silence, the entire tube assembly is driven backwards into the pack, accompanied by an eardrum shattering boom, the vents of the mist suddenly erupting with more vapor as the assembly rams backwards. With a horrific wrenching, the monster is forced backwards, its claws digging multiple furrows into the concrete underneath the behemoth, screeching a sorrowful song as it slows the hulking terror to a complete stop.

Then, as if a switch was thrown, the glass along the street shatters out of their sills, the snow on the ground blown away in a single trench, revealing the broken surface of what was once a smooth street, now blown to rubble and sand from incessant bombing from above.

The snow all around, as well as the mist, suddenly vanishes in the sudden blast, spread apart as if mysteriously held by gigantic hands, holding back the very air itself as the massive boom shatters all around it, leaving the monster of the mist unharmed in the least.

The entire back mounted cannon slides backwards on it's mounting, comming to a halt at it's farthest, two cylindrical rods, each about the size of dinner plates ram outwards, locking the open camber of the weapon open, letting the massive gun cool in the fridged air, the metal glowing red with the massive charge. The spent shell *pings* out of the chamber, smoking with the explosive charge having been detinated within it's shiny metal bowels.

With a light, but loud pinging sound, the shell hits the ground, bouncing a few times before comming to a stop, all of the snow that touches it turning instantly to steam as the cold, frozen water touches the extremly hot metal.

After a few minutes of waiting, the beast lifts its head upwards, looking at the destruction it has wrought on the men who opposed it, quickly looking away as if ashamed of what it had done. With the weapon still cooling, the thing turns around, lumbering back the way it came, walking on all fours, the weapon still glowing, though slightly less then before.

Suddenly, the thing stops in it's tracks, just setting down a foot to keep it's position stable. With a half second pause, the large back mounted cannon turns leveling with a small camera, the plate sized rods slamming back inwards, allowing the chamber to reload another round. Then without warning, the muzzel of the cannon flashes (The biggest barrol) sending a round downrange smashing an overhead camera, the relativly small round striking the heavy duty technology, destroying it utterly.
