#8 of Kiss My Arse

"She's dead..." asked Fox in hushed voice. I looked at him in deep sorrow, "Yeah she is. She was caught in the crossfire between me and the other officers. I held her while she died." The room was devoid of happiness. All present bowed their heads in respect of the lost comrade. I don't know why I lied to them that day and neither did I know why I felt no guilt or pain of her loss. At the time, I had told myself it had to be done and it was for the best yet still feeling some restraint. Afterwards however, I felt that it was the only option and that she deserved it and, although I take this lightly, I enjoyed her death. Was I truly becoming a monster; a fiend that would kill all those around him? After a quick speck from Fox about her death, we all returned to our rooms with downed heart. Opening my door, I found Krystal perched on my bed like she normally did. She held a box on her lap with a cute smile on her face. "What a surprise," I said sarcastically with a smile. She stood up and presented me with the box, "This is for you!" The box was large but it didn't seem as heavy as its girth made it out to be. The label read 'Thank you for reuniting our torn family, The Wolfes'. "It's a joint present from all of us. I hope you like it..." The box was decorated so regimentally it seemed like a shame to ruin that. Inside was a neatly folded garment of dull, dark leather material. Taking it out and on closer inspection it seemed to be a large coat like my old one. "It's a new coat; your old one was getting really ragged and worn. This one is coated in Tetramethlon which is fire-proof, bullet proof and blast proof. It should last a-bit longer than your old one." I looked up at her to see her smiling as I returned with one of my own, "I love it, thank you." "No thank you for saving the girls." She proceeded to give me a warm hug as tears formed in her eyes. "Right, we need to see what's happening in your mind." Pulling away, she sat me down on the bed and placed her hands on my temples. The dark sphere again sat in the middle of my mind. We approached the sphere holding hands with courage and confidence. The say strange noises came from the sphere with blurred images appearing in front of us. The dark clouds inside the sphere whirled and swirled savagely. Images of the commanders flew by as me and Krystal peered deeper inside. A voice came from inside. "Awaken Mitch. Awaken my son." "My mother?" I called in excitement. Krystal held onto my hand tighter as our faces got closer to the edge of the sphere. Then an image appeared clear in front of us. Chloe lay in the floor in pain as my sword began to pierce her chest. I jumped up away from Krystal and pushed her away. She got up and stood with her back against the wall, holding back her pain and looking at me horror with her mouth open wide. "You...you said she didn't in the crossfire..." "Krystal...I can explain..." As I approached her she backed away to the door. I grabbed a hold of her arm before she left, "Krystal let me explain myself..." "No Mitch. I see great evil in you......and I'm afraid it's gaining more control over you..." Shaking me off, she left in a hurry. What had I done? Shutting the door, I stood in front of the mirror and looked at myself. What had I become? Why was this evil building up inside of me? I decided to sleep off what was left of the long and tiresome day.

I could the voices of the haunted in my head. "Look at the tattooed freak!" echoed the voices of children. "Where's the fuckin' kid?" sounded the voices of the gang members who killed Angela. "You're just some furry freak," cried Henderson with that smug look on his face. All my life I had taken oppression from so many people and had been powerless to stop it. Killing the commanders had given me new powers beyond anything I could have imagined yet it seemed to make the darkness inside me grow. Was that truly my destiny? To loss who I was to become something much more powerful? I was scared but what might happen but...I wanted the power so bad. I awoke slowly from my dream by the giggling of laughter in my room. Allowing time for my vision to focus, I turned to find two figures sitting in my room. They were two young wolfs with blur fur like mine. They wore the same layout of clothes to me; tank, baggy trousers and a large coat. "Can I help you?" I asked, quite annoyed of their presence and yet, slightly confused. "Hi Mitch," introduced the little girl, "My name is Alice and his name is Alex. We're here to hurt you." The little girl pointed at me. Suddenly, a strange, intangible force dragged me from my bed and sent me crashing through the door. I pulled myself up as the boy exited my room. He began to fire bolts of lightening from his hands, sending me flying down the corridor and sliding into the meeting room. The two skipped merrily down the corridor, laughing and giggling as they went. I pulled myself up using the table. "I don't want to fight you," I warned them. "Well we want to fight you," said Alex with a smile. With little hesitation, I sent flames spiralling their way, engulfing them in the heat. As the flare died down, the two appeared to be unharmed. "Silly, your powers don't work on us!" chuckled the little girl. I made a break for it down the corridor on the right with the two hot on my trail. A door suddenly opened in front of me and Fox appeared, "Mitch, what's going on?" I soon passed him as the little girl repulses him crashing back into his room. Finally I was in the armoury. I grabbed a pistol off the shelf and pointed it at the pair, trying desperately to regain my breath. "You wouldn't shot us, would you Mitch?" asked Alice with puppy dog eyes. I looked deep into her like I did with Chloe. I unloaded five rounds at them. All stop in front of the as the girl outstretched her hand. "Naughty boy," she said with a smile. Each bullet slowly began to turn around in the air, her force controlling them like a puppet on strings as they began to point at me. I dived behind the counter as the bullets shot through the air, narrowly avoiding me. "Come out Mitch..." I had a plan, though. Reaching into a draw above me, I removed a frag grenade and removed the pin then I waited. "Come out Mitch..." One...Two...Three... "We wanna play Mitch..." Four! I jumped up from the counter and threw the grenade at them with all my strength. She, again, simply caught it in mid-air with a smile, "Not good enough, Mitch." The grenade detonated as I sought shelter behind the counter. The blast rocked the room and destroyed several shelves of weapons. Emerging victorious, I was shocked to find the pair sitting dazed in the corner. They had simply been thrown across the room. The girl shook away her mercy and fell to her temper, "That wasn't very nice, was it Mitch?" With a simply point, she ripped the counter from the floor in front of me and sent it crashing into the wall. I was completely out in the open and at the mercy of the pair. She held her hand out in a choke hold as the strange force closed off my windpipe. The crackle of electricity from the boys fingers told me it was over. A blue energy covered my body as the lightening spread across the room. The strange reflector device sat at my feet as we turned to find Falco smirking at the door, "These your kinds, Mitch?" "How dare you interfere!" cried Alex, reading his fingers. Flying from his sister's side, face first into a broken counter; Nik laughed as he pulled his hands away. "Nothing like a sonic boom to teach kids a lesson, huh?" To protect her brother, Alice held her hands to Nik and he responded with a sonic boom. The two forces cancelled out, sending the two flying to opposite sides of the room. Fang, Dark, Rouge and Renamon soon joined us in the room, already to fight by my side (to the death if necessary). Dark and Fang went after Alex as Rouge and Renamon decided to choose Alice as a target. Fang and Dark could easily dodge and swerve away from the lightening bolts, using their swords as shields in some cases. Rouge and Renamon worked so fast as a team that Alice could not keep up with their movements. Eventually, the pair tired out and decided that enough was enough. They rejoined with each other at the entrance to another corridor and looked over us one by one. Then they sight focused on me. "This is not over yet Mitch. When you are vulnerable and on your own we will strike." Alice tore a gas pipe from the wall as Alex set it aflame, allowing them enough time to escape. They had disappeared into the distance and used their craft to escape from the Great Fox, leaving no trace and no clue of their true identities or origin. Nik escorted me to the medical bay to get myself fixed up and ready to fight again.

The next day the team decided that they should have a day off and so Nik took them to a dimension he had visited once. Hopefully we would not be bother there and, from what Sonic Fox told us, the dimension is similar to ours and very peaceful. Before that, however, we had to return the Growe to their planet. It was my job to collect them and take them to the hangar bay. The girls had slept in a communal room specially set up for them. All the warriors were ready apart from one. Lalon approached me with sadness on her face, "I am facing a difficult decision," she sighed, "I want to stay with my sisters yet...I don't want to leave. I always used to look up at the stars and wonder what was out there. You, great warrior of the stars, live my dream everyday. May I join your party and learn more of this universe." The last thing we needed was more people hanging around and getting in the way. However, the team were optimistic of their new arrival and decided to allow her to stay. Leaving the Great Fox on full alert and in locked status, we used Nik to go straight into the dimension. It was the Star Fox team, Sally and the girls, Rouge and Renamon, Mina, Nik, Fang, Dark, Lalon and Me. We all wore casual clothes (Lalon borrowed some from Krystal) apart from me; sticking with my trousers and long coat was good enough for me. "Everyone meet back here at 10:00 sharp," ordered Nik. The team split off into different directions, excited about some free time for once. Fang and Dark decided to watch a movie but I didn't fancy it. Rouge and Renamon believed that they should show Lalon a good time and dragged her off to the nearest pub. Slippy attached himself to Peppy and Mina who wanted to do a bit of shopping (and loss the stupid amphibian in the process). Knowing what Fox and Falco were like together, I thought the going with them was a bad idea. My final choice was either the girls or Krystal and Sally and, guessing what the three girls would be like during shopping, I concluded spending the day with Krystal and Sally wouldn't be too bad. I soon discovered that was a very bad idea. "It's great you wanted to spend the day with us, Mitch!" exclaimed Sally with a chuckle. "Yeah, if you need any money just ask!" offered Krystal. "That's okay girls, I think I'll be fine," I answered as we continued down the high street. The pair merrily chatted away as I walked beside them with a deep pride. The high street itself teemed with life; busy shoppers and business types walking up and down with bags aplenty. Little children cried from fatigue as relentless wives dragged their husbands from shop to shop. The scene was buzzing. "Krystal, I found one!" broke Sally's voice through my daydream. Krystal rushed into a shop with her partner as I followed. I stood at the main entrance in awe. The two had rushed into a sex shop and my pride slowly drained away. "Hey Mitch, come 'ere!" cried Sally. "What colour do like best," she asked as I approached, "Pink or blue?" She produced two large dildos of considerable size right in front of my face. "I dunno," I said, blushing slightly, "Blue?" "That's what I thought but if I get blue then I'm gunna lose it inside of Krystal." Krystal began to blush to her partner. Sally licked the shaft slowly, feeling and caressing it with her to tongue to test it. "The pink one is stiffer," she pulled Krystal towards her, "Maybe we should test it out!" Krystal struggled to get away from her as she smiled playfully. The familiar bulge forming in my pants made me look away, restraining my most basic instincts. "Actually, it's not big enough for my horny little girl is it?" Sally kissed Krystal playfully up and down her neck as Krystal began to giggle. That was all I could stand for as I turned to leave. "Wait a sec Mitch, we haven't found a dildo for you!" "Sally, that's not funny..." said Krystal disapprovingly. "Fine. Come on Krys, we got more shopping to do!" The pair giggled as they began picking things up off the shelf. Returning to the main square where we had begun, I found Nik sitting on a bench with a hotdog, enjoying himself in the bright sunlight. "Nik, can you take me back to the Great Fox?" I asked, knowing that I was too depressed and embarrassed to stay here. Before answering he swallowed his mouthful, "No can do I'm afraid Mitch. Those kids could appear at anytime again and we don't want you dying do we?" "If you don't take me back I'll just do it myself." "Go for it." He knew that I still couldn't fully control my portal power and was calling my bluff. "Nik, come on..." "No Mitch. Catch a movie or something." He returned to his hotdog in a dismissive fashion leaving me to wonder devoid of purpose. With the streets filling up by the second, I decided to seek shelter in a near-by pub; maybe getting hammered would help me current situation. "The Pugnacious Pig," I read allowed from the sign. The interior was a sort of mix of old oak and traditional bar tables and chairs. Although quiet, classic rock music played in the background and the scene was full of smoke. I approached the rotund bartender with the absurd moustache. "A pint of ale, 3 cigars and a packet of cheese and onion." With my snacks I took up a stall in the corner and quietly enjoyed my time to myself. I had been along time I had savoured a cool pint and, although I had quit smoking, a cigar was the best option at a time like this. It seemed like my time had come to an end with the Starfox crew and, I had to say, I was upset at how quickly that time had passed. With only one Signit commander left, I was closer than ever to discovering my past and finishing the long fight. What would I do afterwards, however? Maybe I could return to my previous dimension; use my polymorphic powers to change back to my former self... Would I want to go back? "May I sit here?" I held my head my hands with thought as the stranger turned up. With no glance to who it was I continued my train of deep thought, pausing only to give a vague answer, "Sure..." The small sized person in front of me sat down and grabbed one of my cigars, lighting it and tacking a big inhale. "Hey that's," I looked up in horror of who was sitting opposite me, "...mine......" Blowing out a long stream of smoke into my face, Chloe looked focused at the cigar in her hand, "Good quality you have here Mitch. The best thing for me." "You're....you're..." "Dead? Yeah, that's why smoking is so good. Dead people can't die of lung cancer can they?" I reached for my gun. "I wouldn't do that if I were you," she implied, "The officers around us will turn you into a pin cushion within seconds." I scanned that pub around me. Heavily built men at the bar and on other tables looked at me through angered eyes, ready to pounce if need be. "Why did you kill me Mitch?" she asked, regaining me attention. "I thought all this chasing would be over if I did..." "And is it?" "...Obviously not..." Chloe held the used cigar butt in her hand, "Mitch, if you thought calling me names pissed me off," she crushed the hot cinders in her hand, showing little pain or resistance as the heat singed her hand, "Then killing me is much worse." She grabbed my last cigar and lit it with her fingers. "Chloe I didn't mean to..." "What? To dig the sword in my chest? To leave me there to die? To smile while you performed the act? You got some nerve." "Chloe, let me explain..." She slammed her fists onto the table, "No let me explain. If you go free then I will have to kill you. This 'Project Sword' is deeper than you think. Your past is very dark and mysterious but I know most of it. Allow us to take you into custody and, once we have captured the last commander, I will disclose my information to you. No-one needs to get hurt and I can remove most of your sentence. If not I will have to shoot you. I will take you in; dead or alive." "Tell me what this 'Project Sword' is." "I can't disclose that. A) it's confidential and B) I can't risk tempting you." "Well," I proclaimed with a cheeky grin, "I'll find out for myself." Tipping the table onto Chloe, I dived over the bar and pulled out my guns. No sooner I had taken shelter than Chloe receded to fling fireballs in my direction. With my blind fire, I moved the row of police officers back to the wall of the pub. Their gun fire hit the back wall of the bar, shattering bottles of spirit and vodka. "HOLD YOUR FIRE!!!" cried Chloe. She giggled as I pulled out the empty magazines and replaced them, "Very nice Mitch, very nice. Unfortunately, you're not in the best position at the moment. I have fire and your covered in alcohol." As she charged up her next fireball, I had taken off down the bar, keeping under the line of fire but up just enough to make a quick get away. With a vault over the bar and dive through the door, I escaped from the pub as I large explosion rocked the high street. Chloe and her team rushed out as the civilians fled from the scene in a panic. They frantically searched the street in an attempt to find me. "Split up and search for him, I want him found." As the officers diverged into different directions, I strolled back to the square, quite content with myself. I had disguised myself as a young cat girl of around 5 years of age and they could tell it was me. Laughing as I went, I meet up with the others as I finished my packet of crisps. (((We see the triumphant return of Chloe and boy is she pissed. I'm sorry this is a bit short but it's just a sort of filler story. The next two will be dynamite. Please remember to COMMENT and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!)))
