Wishful Thinking, Chapter 13

By Mitch Kenzo.

Contains:

Furries. Oh, and other stuff too.

Note: This chapter introduces a character whose player I've known since I got into vore, he was one of the first whom I had contact with that got me into it. He's also a really awesome guy that I'm lucky to have such a good relationship with like I do with many of my friends, but few have gotten as close to my heart as him. I still don't think I've done him justice, but not to worry, he'll get his own segment sometime. :3

Note 2: I have to say, this is where I think the series starts taking a sharp downward curve... I couldn't think of a very good twist here, but maybe it's not as bad as I thought. Then again, maybe it's worse. Yes, I'm sure it's worse. Abrupt and such. Oh well, it should even out after a certain, fairly obvious event in the near future. ^^

Chapter 13: Kawaiishes.

Lila continued to stroke through the mane of the large male lion who had decided he wanted to be in charge of grooming her rather large outie, as well as taking it for a tasty reward after all the cleaning every so often. Lila just called a new one into existence every time, and the feline would go back to cleaning it up for her. Emerald had contented herself with seeing how badly she could annoy Morton, first poking the mouse, and then dashing in to give him a long, wet lick on the cheek every so often, until the rodent had leapt at her, managing to pin her underneath him and going to sleep on top of her as a few of the other lions joined them, sleeping in a big, fuzzy pile. Lila felt the male suddenly stiffen up and go into attack mode early on in the next morning, and looked behind her to see two figures coming closer. "Hush, they're friends, even if one is a hyena. He's just not a normal hyena, he's one of us." The male relaxed and mrawred a response, making Lila giggle as she felt his rough tongue scrape her tender navel some more.

Morton and Emerald woke up in the pile of felines just as Perry and Avereth returned from their excursion. The fur looked a bit plumper, and Emerald could tell what had happened right away. Perry had obviously gotten through to Avereth in a way none of the other furs the hyena had ever known could do, a feat which boggled her mind. However, it didn't stop the green-furred wolfess from tossing Morton off her into the group of cats that had surrounded them, the mouse awakening to his doom. "Ahhhhh! Dammit Emerald! Gack...!" Sounds of gurgling were quickly followed by more of a group of lionesses happily feeding on a rather easy to get breakfast.

Perry couldn't help but laugh at the morbidly comical display, and walked up to give Emerald's silky fur a hug as far as he could reach around her. It was quickly returned, and the two of them plus Avereth sat down next to Lila, who dismissed the lion, which in turn groaned sadly before joining the feasting lionesses. Morton soon reappeared alive and whole afterward and laid back onto Lila's stomach, perfectly content. "Hey, welcome back guys."

"Thanks! We really needed the time alone to work out some things..." Perry nodded to the group, and his hyena friend smiled sheepishly. "Everything's fine now though!"

Lila laughed, bouncing the resting rodent against her stomach. "Good, glad to hear it. Once again Avereth, welcome back... We've missed you!" She reached out a paw to place on one of the hyena's footpaws, unwilling to dislodge Morton.

"Um, so now there's four of you... Is that it?"

"Nope! Only one more though!" Emerald beamed a smile happily as Perry's stomach gave a lurch. Only one more!? As eager as he was to make furry friends, he knew that the more he made the less time he'd have to spend with them.

"I see... Well, I can't seem to think of anywhere we should look... Maybe he'll come to us." He didn't have much of a clue, but a feeling was starting to manifest itself in him. Perry shrugged, trying to play his hand for more time... That is, until he saw Lila looking at the others with a huge smile on her face. She seemed so happy to be with the other furs again, and yet here he was trying to pretend he didn't know where another one of her kind was. He was being selfish, trying to keep Lila, Morton, Emerald, and Avereth for himself. That was something a greedy human did... Heck, that was why wars happened half the time. He shuddered as he realized how wrong he was being. "Wait... Wait. Something's coming to me. Maybe it... OH!" The feeling was much clearer, and he was surprised to find that it was something he'd totally taken for granted many times before. It always started as a fuzzy warmth, and then an image would manifest in his mind. This was... "Japan! It's a busy place too, so probably Tokyo! Hey Morton, can you warp us there with your circle trick?"

"Circle... Oh, you mean the pocket dimension? Sure, I suppose I could use it like that. It'll take a little time, but let me get the location out of your head really quick Perry." The mouse walked over and put his dull claws on different spots on Perry's temples, closing his eyes and getting nose to nose with the human, Perry smiling a little. He could feel something scurrying through his brain, and he kept the image as fresh as he could. It honestly felt like... He nearly burst out laughing, it felt like a mouse in a maze trying to get the piece of cheese! He added that image next to the one of Tokyo, and when Morton reached them, both rodent and human alike started guffawing, leaving the others wondering at what exactly they'd seen.

Morton turned away and walked a few yards from the others, sitting on the ground. Yes, he had both the mouse image and the Tokyo image, but he also had found the feelings which Perry had kept bottled up inside of him about their departure. It brought tears to his eyes to think that the human thought of them in such high regard, not wanting to let them go but now being big enough to release them. He hadn't thought about it before, but Perry was right... They would have to go sometime, and it would be soon if they found their final Protector where Perry was showing them. The mouse's eyes started watering as he realized he didn't want to leave Perry either. Sure, the human was a friend, and it was hard to let friends go, but it was different... Morton had human friends, like when he went shopping with his wages from the school. He'd frequented the supermarket and gotten to know the dairy center's stocking crew really well. However, he'd never eaten any of them, hugged any of them, and none of them even knew who he really was under the magical working of his facade. Perry did. Perry was more fur than human in those regards, and had become a companion over the past few days that he didn't wish to leave. Morton just sat and let the tears trickle silently down his cheeks for a while, as the wind and sun blew them away.

Meanwhile, Lila and Emerald were busy asking questions about Japan, Avereth listening intently to learn what he could as Perry sat between him and Emerald, giving out belly scratches as he talked. "Oh yeah, the eye shape is really neat, it's more slanted than mine, and it really makes the Japanese look a lot smarter. Well, actually, a lot of people think they are. In addition, you'd probably be idolized over there if they knew you were real furries instead of cartoon characters someone was dressing up as."

"Hmm... Heheh, that gives me an idea." Lila gave a sly grin as she brushed her claws through her headfur.

"I've always wanted to go there myself, Tokyo is one of the entertainment capitols of the world I think. They've got the food, the places to go for fun, everything! Too bad I don't speak it."

Lila rolled her eyes. "You know Perry, you could if you just asked."

"D'oh, I keep forgetting. Honestly, your magic is becoming so... Well, I think I've just gotten used to it is all. I keep forgetting you guys aren't my normal friends... I guess that's how I've come to think of you as by now."

Emerald beamed. "Aww Perry, that's so sweet of you!" She pulled him onto her lap and gave him a big hug against her soft belly, tail wagging behind her. The wolfess then grinned now that she had him all to herself, scratching over his soft gut with her claws and not sparing his navel a bit, giving it some nice claw twists deep inside it that made him catch his breath. Her tongue worked over his hair every so often, grooming him slowly.

"Well, who exactly are we looking for, or what?" Perry wanted to know what he was looking for so he'd know the last fur when he saw it. Tokyo was a big place after all!

"Heheh, who could forget Jizzal?"

"Not me, that's for sure!" Avereth snickered as he mockingly held his nose shut and waved off an invisible stench. This brought only one image to mind...

"A skunk. We're looking for a friggin' skunk in Tokyo! You've gotta be kidding me! You know, I thought he might be easy to find in another place, because I'm assuming he wears his hair like his fur color. At least Morton did. However, Japan is like crazy hair central, and there'll probably be a dozen teenagers at any given time wearing a white stripe in their black hair."

"Well now, that does sound quite difficult, but Jizzal doesn't have a stripe, and we're not even sure he's been released from his protection frame." Avereth shrugged at Perry, as it was possible he had been as well.

"Good point, that may make it easier."

"Plus we have that intuition of yours too Perry, I'm sure we'll find him for sure." Lila smiled warmly at him, and he relaxed. This was true!

"I wonder if Morton's about ready yet, he's been sitting over there for a while now. Oi! Watch where you're poking in there Emerald! Eeeep! I said... Oh, I see what you're doing now, fine, I won't say watch it. Ack!"

Morton was indeed ready, and already scratching a circle into the fabric of reality. "I'm going to warn you Perry, as you have no fur this will probably seem very cold, so I suggest we jump in as a group."

The human nodded as Morton finished with the hole, which opened up into a blackness which seemed to pulsate with a lack of light or energy. Emerald and Lila's tails twined about his shoulders and midsection as the two furs clustered closer around him, and Avereth stood to Perry's front, nestling the human with his suddenly thickly furred stomach. They all picked him up at once and stepped through the hole as Morton closed it behind them.

There was a strange sensation of weightlessness and breathlessness, and Perry indeed felt extremely cold, regardless of all of the fur surrounding him. He couldn't really even feel the others or himself as nothing seemed to be there. Perry knew he had a white knuckled grip on Avereth's bellyfur, but he couldn't feel it at all. However, as quickly as Morton had opened another hole, light returned to the nothingness and the group stepped out with the shivering human in their midst. He quickly warmed up from all the fuzz surrounding him, violet, green-white, and brown colors in his line of sight. Perry squirmed, trying to get out of their midst and finally succeeding.

The sight that awaited his eyes was definitely not what he'd seen in the vision. Oh, to be sure it was Tokyo, the same place, but tons of the people in the crowds lining the streets weren't people at all, but furries like the ones he'd come with. Down the street came different balloons and floats of anthropomorphic cartoon characters, making Perry shake his head. His companions were sure getting a good look at what he'd meant by them being idolized! He looked back at Morton, and realized they'd been very lucky coming out where they did. Not many people were around to see the black gaping hole in the building wall behind them, and those that were close enough were fixated on the parade. Whew, talk about close calls!

A few people walked up to Emerald and huddled around her, marveling at how elaborate and realistic her costume was, laughing with delight when she flashed them a toothy smile. They got a picture and went on their way before Perry realized all that had taken place. Firstly, none of the furs were wearing their human disguises, and second, he could understand Japanese. He decided to try it out. "Good afternoon!" He waved at a passing man with a briefcase who smiled and replied the same, though what had come out of both mouths was actually "Konnichiwa!"

Perry looked around at the multitude of characters from various anime shows, video games, and literature that was surrounding him. There were even characters that weren't furry, but couldn't be classified as human or otherwise. Lila was catching a few glances from people while Avereth remained largely ignored, but Emerald and Morton were getting decent amounts of attention. Perry couldn't really think of many lion or hyena cartoon characters anyway, really, though he knew that mice and wolves were quite popular. At least Avereth hadn't been a fox, he would've been swamped with people!

The group carefully and politely detached themselves from the group of growing fans and quickly walked off away from the parade. There were shops of all kinds lining the streets... Places to buy food were some of the most common. He felt his stomach begin to gurgle and realized he hadn't eaten anything since... Well, since the meerkats, though reforming had taken his appetite away like it usually did. It was back with a vengeance now, and Perry pulled out his wallet. Crap, only dollars, no yen. He looked around and grinned as he found a coin on the ground. "Fifty yen, perfect. Hey Lila, can I get about... Oh, a hundred or so of these?" He smiled as the lioness filled his hands with them, and he went to a machine. "Change condenser. Perfect!" He dumped all the coins in the top and let the machine total them up, and then spit out a few bills and some more coins. "Come on gang, let's get something to eat, lunch is on me... And Lila! I'm going to show you that human food tastes just as good as I do." They all laughed as they headed into the restaurant, a noodle place. Inside there was a large, circular seating area around a pit where the chefs worked. Other people were already in there slurping up different flavors and colors of noodle dishes. Perry laughed as four stomachs groaned in unison behind him, sounding like a band in discord. They seated themselves and looked through the menu, ordering noodle plates that suited their fancies. The chefs rolled out the pasta, then elongated it into the thick noodle strings, breaking them and throwing them into a boiling cooker in a display of accuracy of the highest caliber, never missing their mark.

"Almost seems like magic, eh Lila?" Perry grinned over at her, and she chuckled. "Just plenty of practice and self discipline. Though, if there were one place on Earth where you'd be able to find something magical, it would probably be here. Either that or Egypt... Well, okay, a myriad of places, but still... There's tales of masters who have achieved enlightenment through years of arduous training in the wilderness and stuff, though I don't think anyone's ever really seen any of these masters at work with their powers, just old men who offer cryptic 'wisdom.'" He laughed as Lila seemed to be thinking, wondering if magic did exist on Earth after all.

Before long, steaming places of noodles were set before them, tantalizingly delicious smelling. His looked like long batches of green worms in a deep brown sauce with bits of vegetables and meat here and there. Everyone dug in, Perry appreciative that nobody asked questions about how his companions' costumes functioned when the furs ate. Ohhh, it was so good, long and slick as he slurped it up and chewed into the soft noodle, much better than the cheap knockoffs in America. He scooped up some of the sauce, basking in the flavors of salty soy, with slightly bitter and sweet tangs of different spices mixed into it. Lila and the others seemed to be enjoying theirs equally well, devouring their food slowly and enjoying the tastes that seeped into their maws as they salivated over what they ate. It was magical to watch each of them eat something that wasn't him, biting, slurping, tasting, and gulping it all down. He finished and paid for the meal, leaving a generous tip with plenty of money left over for snacks on the way through the city. This was seeming less like a quest to get his friends home and more like the fun summer vacation he'd planned on taking anyway, though it was just going to be in the US. Huh, funny how things worked out like that. They'd stopped later to try dango, a sweet dessert on a stick, and takoyaki, which Perry felt a tiny bit ill about once he realized the cartoony octopi decorating the stand weren't mascots. The illness passed once he tasted how delicious the takoyaki balls were, trying to steal some of Avereth's and laughing when the hyena started to make a threat about eating him next, but turned too submissive to complete it.

They all walked for a while, exploring Tokyo as much as they could and looking down streets, not really seeing a sign of what they were looking for but having tons of fun anyway. "Huh, I wonder how long it'll take to find Jizzal here?" He looked about at the sky, noticing the sun was starting to set in the sky. As he did, he ran headlong into an elderly Japanese man. He fell backwards as the man steadied himself on the sign he'd gotten ready to bring into his store, offering a wrinkled hand to help Perry up with. "Oh, I'm sorry sir, I wasn't looking ahead of me!" He took the outstretched hand and the man laughed.

"I admit, you gave me a surprise coming at me like that, but everything is all right. I see you've come from the celebration?"

"Ah, yes sir. My friends decided to dress up, but I couldn't find costume materials in time."

"Mmm... I see. I'm too old to keep up with the young trends now. You are American, yes?" At Perry's nodded confirmation, the man laughed again. "Very good, you speak Japanese fluently. Are you here on business or vacation?"

"Vacation, I've been looking forward to this parade all year."

"Hah! Well I am glad you made it then. Before you go however, you might wish to pick up some trinkets for your family back home? That's what this shop is for." He pointed to the sign, indicating that it was a curiosity shop. Aptly named as Perry noted the old guy seemed quite curiously cordial after having been run into.

"Um... Sure, why not? They did ask us to pick up something after all."

The man turned and walked inside the store as the sun set, taking the sign with him and letting the door close behind them. Inside it smelled vaguely of incense, and curiosities were everywhere. Beads and swords were draped about bamboo racks while symbols of all kinds decorated the walls of the cramped chamber. The floor was a polished wood that he couldn't identify, but it showed years of repeated usage and had held up very well from it. The man settled behind a counter and picked up a book he'd been reading through the day. "Go ahead and look, just let me know if you'd like to make a purchase."

They all split up and looked at different things. Avereth headed straight for a pile of books, selecting one and skimming through it quickly, and then doing it with the rest before selecting a few, producing some yen pieces of his own as the tomes were quite discounted, but had the feel of years of love and good reading from them. He'd skimmed the contents of the others and memorized the pages for review some other time, but he definitely wanted to look through these with leisure.

Lila was busy looking at the weapons. She touched the hilt of one and drew back sharply, getting a feeling of darkness and bloodshed that didn't have anything to do with eating from it, and less with bringing someone back to life. However, she picked up a set of star-like objects made of light metal, and tossed one into the air. It whirled about, trimming through the atmosphere with ease, and she caught it on the way back down. No sense of death attached to them, they were hers.

Morton was glancing around at the bamboo sprouts that were in the store, having always liked greenery himself. The mouse picked up a pot and looked at the shoots coming up in segments, amazed at their resiliency to movement. He'd definitely found his prize!

Emerald and Perry were busy looking through the chains and bracelets everywhere, Perry explaining their significance to the wolf woman. "That's a manji, I think it means piece and good health or something. Oh wait, universal balance, I think." That prompted a nod from the man behind the counter.

"What's that?" She was pointing at a statue of a fat golden man with a giant smile on his face in a few robes, his magnificent gut hanging out in front of him.

"Oh, Buddha! That... Well, that's just a different representation of the founder of Buddhism, a religion. Nobody knows what he looked like, so different regions have different representations of him, as he was known to come from a noble family, and in certain areas, nobles were known to be fat and happy like that. There's one more thing, I dunno if this is Americanized, but you're supposed to rub his belly for good luck." Perry grinned at his last sentence, as Emerald immediately seized the statue and rub-rub-rubbed the belly, chuckling. Perry took a few rubs himself, feeling he could use the good luck to help him find Jizzal before nighttime hit. He turned to the man to ask how much it was when he saw a very beautiful image of a skunk character framed above him. It seemed quite lifelike, much like Lila had in her frame... And most striking of all, the skunk had no stripe. Perry looked down at the statue and gave a huge smile. "Thanks Buddha."

The man watched Perry walk over. "You see something else you would like?"

"Yes, what is the price of that painting above you?"

"Oh, that is priceless, I do not think I wish to part with it. It has brought me nothing but good luck since I acquired it."

Perry's stomach sank. "Not for any price?"

The man smiled broadly. "Far more than you could come up with."

Perry scowled as the man's face went back into his book. What WAS he reading? Something about myths and demonology... Hmm! Superstitious, eh? He'd read up on a bit of Japanese superstitions himself. He walked over to Lila and tapped her on the shoulder. "Lila, you know the human disguise you can do? I need a bit of help here, can you make me look like a nine-tailed fox?" Lila's eyebrow raised at the nine-tailed part, but she nodded and began to touch Perry before he held up a hand, stopping her. "There's something else, tell the others to act extremely shocked when it happens, and when we're done, I'd like a stack of these," Perry held up a thousand yen note. "to leave with him, as I'm certain he'll be scared out of his wits." The lioness nodded, making sure there were no further instructions, and looked at Emerald, who looked at Morton, who looked at Avereth, who looked back at Lila. With nothing but a touch, Perry felt the world in front of his eyes shimmer, and a strange outline surrounded his body. Orange fur coated it, and a white and orange muzzle with many sharp teeth inside appeared in front of his face. His hands had the outline of paws with soft black pads in the middle of them, soft to the touch. Perry ran his paws behind him, feeling a mass of thick, waggling tails behind him, one of which knocked a gong off the wall that fell to the floor with a clatter.

The elderly man looked up and gasped, dropping his book. Perry padded over calmly and more gracefully than he ever had before. "Old man."

"Y-y-y-y-y-yes, guardian spirit?"

"I requested your painting, and I requested it for a reason, there is a demon trapped inside of it, and I am going to destroy it. The good luck it has brought you is nothing but a ruse to keep it safe from me until it can reemerge." The man went white as a sheet at that, and shied away from both Perry-kitsune and the image. His tails all moved behind him as Perry walked toward it, taking it in his paws and tucking it safely under his arm. "Your price earlier is... fulfilled." He held out his left paw and a huge stack of yen notes appeared in it, making the man's eyes bug out of his head as Perry set them on the counter and calmly walked out of the store, the others following with the trinkets they'd picked up.

"T-th-thank you, guardian."

Perry grinned and broke into a run with the other furs following, until he could get to an alleyway. "This is fun! I could so play football like this." He smiled and looked at the image. Lila and Morton looked over his shoulder while Emerald and Avereth clustered from the front, and they all shouted in triumph.

"That's him, you did it Perry!" Lila socked him on the back, breaking her image spell and turning him back to himself again.

He chuckled and ripped the frame off the image, looking at it. "So... How do we get him out?"

The cheers stopped, and Avereth facepalmed himself. "Ah crap, did anyone think about that?" The others shook their heads no. Perry set it on the ground, and started listing things off.

"Fire?"

"Nah, he could've ended up in a volcano."

"Lightning?"

"Maybe." Lila gave the image a zap, which reflected off and blackened the side of a building.

"Doubtfully water, it's had humidity exposure I'm sure."

"Not air, plenty of that around."

"It's obviously not an elemental magic or effect... Hmm." Avereth thought, wracking his brains for anything that might be helpful while Perry dusted the image off after picking it back up.

Think Perry, think. You could know this... Perry's mind churned along with Avereth's as his stomach gurgled again. Why was it gurgling? He'd gotten used to the tasty scents of the other furs, so there had to be something else making him hungry... Wait. He lifted the image to his nose and took a sniff. A very faint, but sweet smell greeted him and made his stomach roar in protest, wanting to have something inside of it. Of course, this made sense. "Food."

"Hm?" The others looked over at him.

"This should have been painfully obvious to me by now, I know what the key is!" Perry chuckled as he took another sniff of the skunk picture in front of him, his stomach threatening to tear itself apart now. He quickly opened his mouth after wadding the image up and popped it in. It first dissolved down, the sweetness just like he'd expected it to be, incalculably good. It was as if someone had taken a bag of sugar and every flavor of snow cone syrup, mixed it with cake frosting, squeezed the fructose from a barrel full of fruit, and then stuck a jawbreaker on top, only bearable. He washed it around in his jaws, letting his saliva mix in with it before swallowing. Nothing happened for a few minutes other than him wanting to sit down, feeling weak in the legs. Then, something in his mouth felt strange... His mouth wasn't oozing saliva anymore, there was something else coming out, much MUCH thicker than spit. It hurt slightly, but no more than a canker sore's irritation. Once again, he tasted the sweetness, and his mind told him to chew. Chew, chew, chew the oozing stuff, until he had a nice pad of it. It was really tasty, and about the same consistency as chewing gum. He chewed until his jaws were sore, and the ooze-gum had firmed up some. It was about the right consistency for bubble blowing... so, why not?

Perry flattened it along the top of his mouth, then scraped the stuff off with his tongue and put the stuff against his lips, sticking his tongue into the center so it bulged outwards, and then blew. A small bubble formed in front of his mouth, growing by the second. It was opaquely black, and growing by the second as he blew into it. Taking another breath, he blew more and more into the bubble until it was as big as his head. Little lumps had formed on the sides, moving farther and farther away from the bubble as the bubble itself went farther from his mouth, still connected by a tube of the substance. Some more breaths later, and the lumps began to from features, like a muzzle and ears, and hands with fingers. Bigger and bigger the bubble went, the creature coming out of it getting more defined by the second. It even began to move on its own, stretching out and looking around, eyes folding over themselves to blink and create eyelids. Finally, Perry gave one more puff of air, and the end of the tube slipped from his mouth, sealed off somehow. The form began to fill out, become more whole by the second as it got used to standing, and then moving. The tail swished and batted Perry in the face, and he felt soft black fur hit him. Looking up again though, Perry was confused. "Lila, I thought you said Jizzal was a skunk."

"He is, you just freed a demon." Lila had a devilish grin on her face and have a hellish belly laugh that made Perry want to piss himself, and as Lila's cackle dissolved into harmless laughter, he had to check himself to make sure he hadn't. "Gwahahahaha! Oh Perry, you should've seen your face! It was priceless! Ahahahaha!" She collapsed on Avereth who was already in tears laughing, holding his middle so it didn't bounce about from the laughing he was doing.

"I swear, I'm gonna get one of you for this if it's the last thing I do."

"Blame Ave, it was his idea!" Lila pointed at the hyena who yelped and tried to defend himself.

"H-hey! It wasn't ALL my idea!"

Perry finally gave up and joined in, and Morton sent him a mental image of what he looked like that doubled him over and set the whole group laughing again, Perry falling on the ground from the giggles. As he subsided, a soft black paw presented itself to him to help him up, and he found himself looking into the face of what could have only been a skunk, complete with a hugely fuzzy tail behind him. "Wait, I thought... Weren't you..."

The skunk stepped away and bowed, and when he came back up, he had taken the shape of a bobcat, once more and he was an all-black pirate before turning back to himself. "I'm a shapeshifter, though a skunk by default."

Perry blinked a bit as Lila came over. "What were you saying about getting used to magic?"

"That's cool. That's really REALLY cool." Shape shifting? Hell yes that was all kinds of cool! Perry had pretended he could do it when he was little, taking all kinds of shapes in his imagination. He was a superhero fighting bad guys that could morph into a car and drive away, and then keep his identity secret at the end of the day. Finally aware that he was just staring, he grinned and held out a hand, confident that one of the other anthros had already given him the information on how to communicate and all that jazz. "Perry, and you must be Jizzal."

"Indeed I am!" The black paw took his and gave it a strong shake, and then it drew back toward the skunk with Perry in tow, who gave him a quick nuzzle on the cheek. "That's thanks for figuring out how to let me go." A big, wet tongue slid across his face, making him cough a bit. "That's because you smell good." Then, the mephit gave him a soft, quick kiss on his other cheek, fuzzy lips touching down only for a moment before releasing. "And that's because you taste good!"

Perry was flabbergasted. Had he just been kissed? Well, that was definitely new! He hadn't really minded it though, so he smiled back at Jizzal. "Uh... Thanks! So, I've heard that I taste good quite a few times now."

"Even better than the noodles!" Morton piped up, and Perry rolled his eyes, sighing. The mouse blushed. "But they were pretty good."

Jizzal grinned, white teeth coming from seemingly nowhere in the inky blackness of his fur "I'm sure you have, hanging around with this bunch. So, might that be an invitation to dinner?"

Perry smiled right back and nodded. "It might. I'm also ready anytime!"

The skunk nodded, and took a deep breath, sniffing the human's hair while sticking his muzzle into it. His soft tongue let itself out of his mouth again and sampled Perry's scalp, running through it and drenching the follicles in a thick, viscous saliva. "I'm actually quite ravenous as I didn't have much time to eat before the frame, so you'll understand if I don't waste any more words?" The human nodded silently, and the skunk hugged his head into his belly, letting Perry feel the ravenous gurgling of his stomach, making what he'd experienced earlier sound like nothing. He felt his lips pressed against a small hole, which he knew too well what it was by now, and probed in with his tongue, stilling the gurgling for a moment. "Do that again." Perry did as instructed, and a deep murr escaped the skunk's lips as Perry ended the short licking with a kiss to Jizzal's bellybutton, blushing hotly as he did so, but not knowing why. He looked up into the skunk's eyes, and saw that Jizzal had to eat, but wished he could have continued that. His gaze was quickly replaced by a view of the dark throat he'd soon be going down, the mephit's jaw opening wider and wider to accommodate his head. He felt the thin black lips and the large cheeks surrounding his head, plunging him into darkness as he felt a hot wetness surround him. Jizzal's throat was already sucking at him, trying to get him down inside of it quickly as Perry's shoulders were thrust into the already bulging mouth, the tongue salivating hungrily all over him. He felt the sharp teeth in the skunk's maw scrape his skin painlessly, gripping him on his chest to pull up into the air, the soft paws steadying his body to as not to impale him with the teeth holding him in place. He felt them gripping his sides, the thumbs of his newest friend slipping down into the dimple in his middle, the skunk seeming to know exactly what he wanted as the tongue reached out and down to sample his belly, sliding into the navel to taste about and using the hole like a hooking point to help draw him in, Perry giggling as he felt the tongue grip inside of his bellybutton. His soft chest went over the tongue and into the throat to join his head and shoulders. Perry could feel the pulsating of the neck muscles all about him, swallowing him down with each powerful gulp. Perry made sure and clamp his legs together as he felt the tongue start snaking down, which diverted itself off to one of his legs understandingly. Jizzal quickly tipped up his maw, letting gravity slide Perry down into the belly awaiting him, roiling about and wanting to digest him.

Perry was fully enjoying the trip, when his sixth sense seemed to be acting up again. Something was wrong this time, and it had nothing to do with furs. He wanted to tell Jizzal to stop so he could think of it more clearly, but he couldn't. It didn't stop the image from coming though, it was his home, and his mother was asleep upstairs, but there was an open window downstairs. His mom never left the window open at night. He began to squirm, trying to at least get into Jizzal's belly faster to see this clearer, the squirming working as he soon plopped into a gooey acid substance. The images were coming in flashes now, he knew something had fallen, and that his mom had gotten up to check it out. "No... Don't do it mom, stay in bed, call the cops!" But no, his mother had opened her bedroom door, and in front of her stood a man with a tire iron, who slammed it into her face, knocking her against the bedpost. "No!" The man came forward again, his mother screaming as she saw her own blood on the iron and the man, on the floor as well. He hit her again, gashing her face open with a corner and spraying the sticky red blood across the bed. "NO!" Again, blood on clothing. "NOOO!" And one final time, leaving his mother in a mangled heap on the floor, her life bearing fluid gushing onto the floor about her until it stalled to a trickle, the man going back to looting the house. He screamed out in mortal agony before passing out, the digestive processes about him working his partially digested body down.

Jizzal had been enjoying the squirming in his throat, but began hearing the shouts in his stomach. It shouldn't have been painful, Perry hadn't even whimpered about his teeth, and he knew he'd bitten into the human more than once. "Perry?" He heard the shouts from inside growing in intensity. The others crowded around the skunk's distended stomach with looks of worry on their faces. "Perry!" More cries of anguish. "PERRY!" Lila and Avereth cried out, and Morton held his ears down against Emerald's as they heard the final howl of pained fury from within Jizzal. He looked up with a horrified look on his face, seeing the same expression on the others.

Avereth's eyes were wide with concern. "Jizzal... What... What exactly did you DO to him?"

The skunk shook his head, feeling his stomach shrink down as it digested Perry's body away. "I don't know, but I'm going to find out. In the meantime, you all get to searching for the seal." With that, the mephit melted into a puddle of inky darkness, bubbling away against the ground. Avereth shook his head, but Lila laid a paw on his arm. "It'll be all right..."

Morton unfurled his ears. "I... I think I know what he was screaming about. I'll tell you all while we search."

The others nodded and their bodies poofed into mist-like forms, and they descended through the ground.

Dun dun dunnnn! Well, that's one of the creepiest things I've written in a while. What happens in Chapter 14? Do Lila, Avereth, Emerald, Morton, and Jizzal all get home? Is Perry left friendless and motherless? Find out on the next episode of Dragon Ball Z! Or not, you might want to just read Chapter 14 when it comes out. :P
