Chapter 3: Oceibada

*Thousands of miles away from the teams position, near a town known as Oceibada, at a local lake.*

???: Are you ready?

*Asked a wolf who slowly turned his gaze to the husky behind him. He has a serious look on his face.*

???: Soulka...are you sure about this? Have you done this before?

*Soulka turned his gaze back to the lake, staring down at the water intensely. His green and blue fur along with his face was a wave image on its surface.*

Soulka: No I haven't, but I know we can do it Hesh. Now ready the net! I'm going in!

*Soulka pulls out a metal item from his bag...a rod and raises it above his head. He placed some worm bait on the end of it, then with one quick movement cast the line into the water and sat waiting for his prey.*

Hesh: So the legendary Sun Fish is our target. The quest is to capture it and turn it into that restaurant. With that we should have plenty of money to buy supplies.

Soulka: Don't forget that the Sun Fish is said to have some delicious meat! Some of the best fish in this world! I can't wait to try it!

Hesh: *chuckles* Right, right that to.

*At that moment Soulka felt a tug on the line and instantly turned his gaze to the water. Vibrations began to make waves that grew larger and larger, pulsating throughout the lake. Soulka stood up and got into position hold the line tightly. Hesh also stood up holding a tranquilizer gun in one hand and a net in the other. Finally the target burst through the surface emerging causing them both to jump in surprise.*

Soulka: Is that it!?

Hesh: Bright scales, huge size, and a scar over the left eye. Yep no doubt, this is the legendary Sun Fish!

*Before Soulka could react the fish began to dive back into the water giving the fishing line a big tug, pulling Soulka into the water.*

Soulka: Whoa, whoa!!! *splash*

*With a huge splash Soulka was pulled underwater. With all his strength he tried to pull the fish back up, but it was no use. He had no choice but to let the fishing rod go and swim back to the surface. After a few seconds he emerges in the middle of the lake.*

Soulka: *gasps! Pants heavily* Hesh! Did you see that!? That fish is huge, but it looks delicious!

Hesh: Stay focused! I think it's coming back!

Just then a rumble could be heard under the wolf and in an instant the sun fish burst through the surface, taking Soulka on its back into the air*

Soulka: Whoa Whoa! Hesh hit this thing with some tranquillizer darts quick!

*In a quick motion the husky raised the gun, aimed, and emptied a full clip into the fishes under belly. With a shriek the giant fish plummeted back down to the lake.*

Soulka: Haha nice shot! This fish is ours!

Hesh: Oops

Soulka: Huh?

*Soulka then looked down and noticed the fish had jumped farther than he thought and it was about to make a crash landing on the shore, but also something more important. A tranquillizer shot had hit Soulka's leg. The fish crashed into the surface along with Soulka in the net Hesh had placed out.*

Hesh: Capture success., but um haha sorry Soulka. Now I better rap this thing up and take it to the shop.

*Hesh rolled the fish into the net, wrapped it, and pulled it back to the restaurant. Finally back in town the two reach the back of a dinner and knock on the door. After a few seconds a red and black shark appears in the door way.*

Hesh: Hey Glade we got your fish.

*The shark, or Glade, looks behind the husky to see Soulka lying on top of their catch.*

Glade: I see, that is indeed the Sun Fish, but its kinda beat up and dirty. What happened to him?

Hesh: Yeah sorry we had to drag it here; it was too heavy to carry and don't worry about him he is just tired haha.

Glade: Haha I figured. I didn't expect you two to actually catch it. No matter I have to clean it and cut it up to cook anyway, so it's no big deal.

Soulka: *jumps up* Cook!? Food!?

*Glade and Hesh jump in surprise, Hesh more surprised at the fact Soulka is up so soon.*

Hesh: Wow it's like your stomach drives your body.

Soulka: Of course! The stomach is the most important part of the body!

Glade: *chuckles* I will cook you up some meals. I keep the meat to sell anyway. A Sun Fish has rich and rare meat that everyone should taste. The real money comes from selling the scales because they can be used as materials. That is where your pay will come from.

Soulka: Yes! I can't wait to taste it! Come on, come on cook some now!

Glade: *chuckles* Very well. It should be ready in an hour or so.

*Glade took the net and dragged the fish into the back of his shop leaving the two outside. It was then that two hyenas appeared out of the forest behind them and began to laugh.*

Hyena 1: Hehe looks like you two made a great catch.

Hyena 2: Yes how about you keep the food and we take the money mutts.

Soulka: Hm? Oh I'm cool with that, but I don't think my partner will agree.

Hesh: Of course not! That fish was a lot of trouble to catch!

Hyena 1: Hehe oh well guess we'll have to take it...

Hyena 2: By force!

*The two charged Soulka and Hesh with knifes in hand. In response to the sudden attack, Soulka equipped his gantlets and Hesh pulled out his sword preparing to fight. The first Hyena ran straight at Hesh, while the other charged Soulka. Hesh chuckles and places his sword in the ground and charges the hyena.*

Hyena 1: Ha you cocky mutt I'm going to rip you apart!

*Hesh grows a grin on his face as the hyena makes a thrust movement toward the husky's chest. With one quick movement the husky dodges left and swoops behind the hyena. Then with a strike to the back of the neck and a swipe kick knocks the hyena down to the ground. The other hyena stops his assault and begins to charge Hesh, but is stopped by a sudden strike to his back. He falls to the ground and slowly stands to see Soulka stand there with a smile on his face.*

Soulka: Hey no forgetting about me!

*The hyena sneers and enraged runs full speed at Soulka who sidesteps and swings with his left, smacking the hyena in the face. With a groan the hyena falls to the ground.*

Hesh: Humph want some more or have you learned your lesson?

*The hyena punches the ground in anger then runs and picks up his fallen teammate. As he starts to run away he stops and looks back.*

Hyena 2: This isn't over! You're going to regret messing with Feral Force! *turns and runs off*

Soulka: Feral Force? Hmm... that might be interesting huh Hesh?

Hesh: Yeah I guess, but if their members are that weak it won't be very fun.

Soulka: *chuckles* True! Oh well come on let's go inside I'm starving!

Hesh: Yep your stomach is in charge of your body.

Soulka: *stomach growls* Yeah and its telling me it doesn't really like you!

*The two laugh and head inside the diner, not knowing of the dangers that lurk in the shadows.*
