Things start to get real interesting for Stone and Co.

A crowd had gathered near the entrance to the prison camp, among them: Tiffani and Jillian. "What do you think is going on?" asked Tiffani as she pushed her way towards the front, nearly knocking over another vixen in the process. "I haven't the slightest" a half concerned Jillian said, fearing for those that Tiffani might plow over in her fit to see what's up. The fence stopped Tiffani cold in her aggressive push to the front, same for Jillian who bounced off of the vixen. A company of foxes trudged towards the camp, surrounding a single prisoner. It wasn't long before Tiffani got a clear view, her heart nearly stopping as she recognized who it was. Jillian's jaw about hit the ground when she too seen him. "I don't believe it." stammered Jillian. "I just can't..." "Stone..." whimpered Tiffani. "But how?" "I don't know. I just don't know."

"Keep moving!" yelled the soldier behind Stone, nearly causing the wolf to stumble to the ground from a forceful push. "The General doesn't have all day."

Two soldiers stood guard outside an office somewhere on the 18th or 20th floor, Stone quit counting after awhile. Judging by the looks he got from the two they were descendants of someone he killed long ago, but that was beside the point. The silver plush carpeting muffled Stone's footsteps as he was hurried inside. On the walls hung various degrees and pictures of some random fox's family, corporate pictures, etc. Among the niceties of the field office sat a large work-desk. "My oh my, how've the might have fallen. So nice to see you again, Stone. Or should I call you Sorrow?" came Swift's voice from behind the office chair turned towards the window. "Does it really matter?" "I suppose not." a smiling Swift spoke as he turned towards the wolf. "Just so you know, anything heroic will end with you lying dead on the floor." "I'm already dead. This meeting is just a formality before the inevitable." "I'm surprised, you know? Giving up all hope just like that." "What would you know about hope?" huffed Stone. "The ones who hoped for my help are either dead or missing." "Quite." "I'm not gonna play your game, if that's what you're getting at." "Oh I think you will. The life of your friend and your mate depends on it." Stone was hesitant when Swift offered him a look out the window, to the prison camp below. If Swift was going to kill him he could've at least faced him when he did. "Down there is a vixen and a certain wolfess that I've kept alive and unharmed." taunted Swift, taking great joy in fucking with Stone's mind. "The reason being that I wanted you to suffer, as all fox kind has suffered since the war, a war that you yourself had started." "Spare me your poetic bullshit. Get to the fucking point already." "As you wish. We've all lost those we loved during this alien invasion. None more than me, my daughter being one of the first ones killed during the initial invasion." "You want my sympathies? Fuck you!" "That's what I thought you'd say. You see, I know that wolfess down there was bonded with another. But what blows my mind is that that wolfess...was your daughter. Sami, I think her name was." "Motherfu..." snarled Stone. "I'll have you know she was dealt with in a way you've grown accustomed to. I heard she was a cute girl, a little wolfish for my tastes, but a 'great piece of tail' my men said. Sad that she grew up never knowing who her father was." "Funny. I never figured you for a stalker." "Oh I had some inside information. Very hush-hush stuff. You see I had some help in making sure that you didn't get the help you so desired from the Den wolves." Swift peaked Stone's curiosity. "To sway the entire elder council...must've been some help." "It was, I assure you. The council was set to offer you help but then I got a call from someone. Said 'If I help him, he would return the favor'. I never figured it would all come down to this." "I take it you made a bargain. What was it?" "Nothing major, just hand you over to him, on a silver platter no less. So far I've done that, with flying colors I might add." "I take it he's a wolf? Otherwise how else would you sway the council?" "I like you Stone. You never miss a beat." "Anyone I might know?" "I think you might still remember each other." Swift snapped his fingers and a wolf enters the room. "I'll leave you two alone. I have pockets of resistance that I need to crush." The doors close once more, leaving Stone and his new friend to sort things out. Slowly Stone turned from the window, his gaze rising from the carpet to the wolf before him, "You!?". "It's nice to see you again...brother."

Back outside...

"What do you think is going up there?" Tiffani spoke as she turned away from the fence. Jillian could only shake her head. "If it involves Swift then you know it's going to be bad. Whatever it is." Tiffani's ears drew back as she took one last glance at the building. "Stone...." "There she is! That's the one." a soldier spoke as he approached from behind Jillian. "Hey, hands off of me." yelled a struggling Jillian as she was drug away.

Jillian flew into the room, nearly hitting the floor in the process but instead kicked the door. "If you think I'm gonna talk, you got another thing coming!" she roared. "Just give me a rifle and I'll show you all." "I see she has a fire in her heart." came an unknown voice from behind Jillian, who turned to see Stone standing by the window. And then she seen someone else, a wolf she had never seen before. He stood around 6'2, a little shorter than Stone but just as imposing as he ever was. Slowly he stepped into the light, his brown eyes shimmering for just a moment as he smiled. "Your daughter sure knows how to pick 'em. Don't you think?" Jillian was taken aback, not knowing what the hell the two wolves were talking about, gazing at Stone she asked, "What's he talking about?" Stone looked away. "What is going on here?" The mysterious wolf spoke up. "So he hasn't told you." "Told me what?" Jillian asked as she stepped forward. "I demand that you tell me." "Stone, the wolf you all love and know, has been keeping a deep secret from you, my dear. And as an old friend of the family...I thought you should hear it from me." "What?" asked Jillian as she heard Stone breathe deeply. "What secret?" "I think it's better if I shown you." the wolf said as he walked towards Stone and took something from his uniform pocket. "I think you'll recognize these." he said, tossing a pair of dog tags in Jillian's direction. They clinked together as Jillian caught them in her paw. "We've all lost friends." spoke Jillian. "This is war. It's bound to happ...." Jillian stopped speaking when she seen the name: Sami Jai Black Wolf staring back at her. All at once her heart sunk deep inside her chest. A tear fell from Jillian's maw as she dropped to the floor, clutching the tag so close to her heart that if she held them any tighter they would become a part of her. "Sami!" she cried. "I'm sorry." Stone uttered. "I never-" "Shut up! Just shut up! Sami isn't here anymore because of you." "I..." Jillian's cries began to grow out of control, her wild sobs reminding Stone of himself when he lost Tiffani those many years ago. Yet nothing he would say would get by the betrayal he knew Jillian felt towards him. "Brother, you have done more damage here than I ever could." the wolf said as Stone gave him a menacing look. "Bring in the next one!"

Tiffani watched as the office doors opened and a shaken Jillian was escorted past her. 'What have they done?' she thought as she was ushered inside. "Where am I?" asked Tiffani. Out of the corner of her eye she seen Stone, "Stone, I'm so happy to see..", but stopped in her tracks when she seen another wolf in the room with them. "Who are you?" the vixen asks. "And what have you done to Jillian?" "I didn't do a thing." the wolf said, turning to Stone and patting him on the shoulder. "It was all Sorrow here." "Sorrow?" asked a puzzled vixen. "You mean Stone?" "That's his old call sign, Sorrow. Didn't you know?" Tiffani stood quiet. "He never told me about that part." she said. "Oh? Left out that little detail, did he?" "He's told me a few things about his past, sure. But he's not that wolf anymore, he said so himself." "I see." "And who are you anyways?" demanded Tiffani. "Where are my manners? Allow me to introduce myself. I am Keith...Stone's brother." "Brother?" Tiffani shot Stone a look of confusion, never before had he spoke of his family, let alone his brother. "This all news to me." a dumbfounded vixen uttered. Keith turned to Stone and smirked. "I think history left out that part. Didn't it, Sorrow." Stone huffed shortly before giving Keith a death look that most wolves and foxes would back down from. "What are you hoping to prove by doing this to us?" "Prove?", came the amused laugh from Keith, "There ain't shit to prove. I just want to see the look on your face when I kill your mate." "Stone!?" yelled Tiffani as she cowered away from the pistol pointed at her. "Wait!" beckoned Stone as Keith lowered his pistol. "This is between you and me. Leave her out of it." "Ha ha ha. Don't worry, brother, I'll let you two share your last moments together." Keith uttered as he headed towards the door, stopping just before leaving. "I'm not a wolf of sorrow like you. I'm better than that."
