The Northern Hunt

This one is a bit different from my usual works.

I based this story off of a world setting created by the artist Zinnthos; you can find him on FA here - http://www.furaffinity.net/user/zinnthos/ . I wrote this story assuming that the reader would come in with no knowledge, but it basically boils down to this: Huge gloves, huge weapons, limited clothing.

We were discussing some of his worldbuilding and character designs, and one character in particular jumped out at me. That character ended up being Vira, and she can be found here: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11496807/

Building on his ideas, I came up with the plot for this story and the character of Amelia (for whom there is no art, you'll just have to imagine it) - I wanted to work with his character designs, but I figured it would be easier to enter the world with one that was my own, and that I therefore had a bit more freedom with.

This story is different from my usual stuff because it's more action/adventure. Yes there is sex, but it's not the focus. The story would probably be better as a whole if it were removed, to be honest, but I do like to write porn, so that's that. There's also some violence - again, not in the sex.

All that said, I was pretty happy with it. So enjoy.

The northern lands were cold. Beautiful, but cold. Amelia had never been so far north before. She had never even seen snow, in fact. Now she was surrounded by miles of alpine tundra. The green forests of her homeland were gone now, replaced by low hills of white powder and scrub brush and a glacial peaks of the vast mountain range that crowned the horizon as far as the eye could see.

At least there was still some amount of green in this land, the doe thought to herself, and pulled her heavy cloak tighter.

She was approaching a small settlement; the first sign of civilized inhabitation that she had come across since entering these inhospitable lands. It was ringed by a wooden palisade that funneled all travelers towards a squat wooden gatehouse. Thin trails of black smoke rose from several of the settlements buildings, giving the place an inviting look despite its fortifications.

Two barrel-chested wolfen guards stopped her at the gatehouse. Their breaths frosted in the cold air as they looked her up and down, eyes stopping where those of all males did, on her bare breasts first, and the spot between her legs second. The doe did not shy from their gazes, but rather sized them up as well. They were handsome enough, and well endowed.

"Make your declarations," one of them said in a gruff voice.

"I am Amelia, hunter and tracker," the doe answered. She unslung the massive bow that hung from her back and gripped it in her thick gauntleted hands. "This is my only weapon."

The guards grunted at one another before stepping aside. "Pass," the first guard said, and waved her inside.

Shouldering her bow again, Amelia cast her gaze down to the ground and entered without another word.

The tavern was easy enough to spot. It was the largest building in the settlement, and it lay almost directly in front of the gatehouse. Hoping to put some warmth in her belly, Amelia made her way there immediately. There were few patrons inside, and no one turned towards her as she entered. Amelia picked a table off to the side and, before long, had a steaming bowl of venison soup set out before her. She dug in hungrily, holding the small spoon in her large gauntleted grip with practised dexterity.

She was halfway down with the bowl when an equally large leathery glove slammed down next to her, rattling the table along its entire length. Amelia swallowed and tried not to look up from her meal.

"The boys told me that a hunter had come," the stranger said. She spoke with a thick northern accent. "One who carried a great bow on her back."

"Yes, you've found her," Amelia said quietly, as though it was a fact that had needed confirming.

The stranger propped one foot up on the bench beside Amelia and bent in closer. "It is rude to keep eating when you are being spoken to."

Amelia turned her head to the side and found herself looking straight at the stranger's white furred crotch. For a moment she stared, taking in the sight of the pink slit that was slightly parted by the stranger's provocative stance. Then she looked up into the stranger's cold blue eyes - or eye, as it were. The stranger was a wolf, like the guards, with an old scar running down one eye and the other obscured by a fierce looking mask that was tilted slightly to the side.

"You like what you see?" the wolf said, and smiled.

Amelia felt herself blush. She tried to steady her voice. "I-isn't it rude to interrupt someone while they're having a meal?"

"Da," the wolf replied, and took a seat beside Amelia. "You may eat. But you will listen as well. I have a proposition for you."

Amelia returned her gaze to her soup. She resumed eating, though a bit more slowly. "What do you want?"

"You are a hunter, yes? I am hunting something too. A great beast, one with a taste for blood. For months it was content with only livestock, but recently it has become more aggressive. Killed some town folk. Now I must take it down."

The doe kept her eyes on her food. "You look capable enough."

"Da, I am," the wolf said proudly. "More than capable. But I have a problem. The beast flies. That bow of yours... you know how to shoot it?"

"I can shoot," Amelia answered.

"You catch on fast. Have you ever hunted a great beast before?"

The doe nodded. "I'm no stranger to it."

"Then this is my proposition to you. Tomorrow, you leave with me. We track the beast. You shoot it down. I finish it up close. Fame enough for us both, I think." The wolf gave a fanged smile. "And gold. The settlement will pay well."

The bowl was empty. Amelia pushed it away from her and turned to the wolf. "Alright then. I'll help." she said. "I'm Amelia."

"And I am called Vira. Rest today. We leave at first light of morning."

______________________________________________________

She found Vira waiting for her at the gatehouse, just as the morning sun rose over the distant horizon. Amelia shivered and drew her cloak tight as she walked over to where the smaller wolf stood waiting with the two wolf guards from before. Vira looked much the same as yesterday, mask cocked over one side of her face, huge leather gloves, wooly shawl, thigh high boots, torso nude even against the morning chill, but now she had the addition of two huge curved blades slung across her back. They were nearly as tall as she was.

"Punctual, good," Vira said, appraising her. "But that old rag you carry will not suit you here in the north. Here, I came prepared for this."

Vira tossed a wooly fur cloak at the doe, who caught it in her oversized gauntlets. It was similar to the furs Vira had draped around her shoulders, and what's more it was white compared to Amelia's green cloak. Good camouflage for the northern wilds.

"Thanks," she said, and slipped the warm garment on. "Is it just us?"

"It is just you and me hunting the beast, da." She nodded over her shoulder at the two guards. "These two are coming along to carry the gear. I believe you've already met my pups, Egill and Einar."

Although the two males stood a full head higher than Vira, it was clear that they weren't cut out for monster slaying. Their spears were more suited for guard duty; without gauntlets of their own, they had no hope of wielding weapons like those Amelia and Vira used. With all of their muscles, they could probably barely have managed to lift one of Vira's dual-blades between them; in addition to their great size, monster-slaying weapons were often forged from an extremely dense and heavy alloy. Only the enchantments in her gloves allowed the smaller wolf to fight properly with them.

Instead of oversized weapons, the two wolves hefted two large packs of supplies on their broad backs.

"You do the killin', we'll do the liftin'," Egill said with a nod.

Vira raised her scarred eyebrow and looked at Amelia's apparently empty quiver. "Do you not need arrows for that thing?"

"I have arrows," Amelia answered with certainty. Vira shrugged and accepted the answer without further comment.

They left the settlement and travelled north towards the mountains. Vira led up front, with Amelia following a few paces behind. Egill and Einar trudged along some ways behind them, talking to each other, their words lost to the cold morning wind. Amelia's new coat blocked most of the wind, and she clasped it around her otherwise naked body.

The land rose and fell slowly, and was easy to traverse despite the snow and wind. Amelia looked out past Vira and surveyed the white and green hills ahead of them. An accomplished tracker in the southlands, the doe found it much harder to discern the lay of the land when it was blanketed by bright white snow. Still, she managed to pick up some animal tracks as she passed close by to them. The prints were small. There was no sign that any large creature had been out this way. At least, not on the ground.

After walking an hour in silence, Amelia summoned her courage and quickened her pace to match Vira's pace. She drew up alongside the female wolf, who looked at her and nodded gruffly. Amelia returned the simple greeting and asked "So, this beast. What else do you know about it, besides that it flies?"

"I have not seen it with my own eyes, and it has not come close to the settlement.. yet. But by the accounts of those that have seen it, its scales are as strong as armor, and its claws can rip an animal to shreds with ease. They say it was a wingspan of maybe forty, forty five meters."

Amelia failed to mask her surprise. "Forty five meters?!"

Vira smirked. "I thought you said you had hunted great beasts before."

"Well, yes... but..." Amelia swallowed and wondered what she had gotten herself into. "Is it a dragon?"

The wolf laughed. "It would take more than the two of us to slay a dragon. That bow of yours would likely be a stick firing twigs to it. Nyet, if it were a dragon, my people would have already abandoned the settlement and set off for a new home."

Amelia's cheeks burned in embarrassment at her obvious inexperience. "Well, how do you plan to find it then? Do you know where its nest is?"

Vira shook her head and looked up at the towering mountains. "It comes from up there, most likely, or perhaps somewhere further beyond them. Fighting on the mountain would be suicide, even if they were easy to climb. But it has come down to feed with more frequency of late, and the tundra is wide open terrain. With some luck, it will not be hard to spot."

They trudged on in silence for a few more minutes, until Amelia spoke up again. "Are you a guard too?"

"Do I look like a guard?" Vira answered her, and let out a sharp bark of laughter. "I am not cut out for 'guarding.' I am more of the fighting type. Egill and Einar, though, we know each other well. Very well. They are brothers, and very good for keeping one warm at night."

The female wolf grinned. "I call them my pups. They call me 'the bitch,' when I cannot hear. At least, that is what they think; I have very good hearing." She turned to look at Amelia with a mischievous glint in her scarred eye. "I think they'd like to keep you warm at night, too, da?"

Amelia averted her gaze and stuttered "O-oh."

The doe stole a quick look over her shoulder at the two wolves trailing behind them. They were talking and laughing with each other, their thick cocks swinging tantalizingly between their legs with each step. Amelia felt a tingling in her stomach and tugged at her wind-beaten cloak. There were worse ways to spend the night out here on the tundra, she thought to herself.

This far to the north, the days were short, and night came upon them quickly. They had traveled half the distance to the foot of the mountains when the sun began to sink below the horizon and the light began to fade. Vira surveyed the area and pointed out a small snowy bluff that would serve as a good spot to make camp. They stopped and waited for the two wolves to catch up to them.

"This is as far as we go today," Vira said. "The beast hunts by day. We will be safe here for the night. Tomorrow we should reach its territory... and then the hunt begins."

Egill and Einar unslung their packs and produced dry firewood and several warm bedrolls while Vira and Amelia set about clearing away enough of the snow to start a fire. Once the fire was lit, the four of them huddled around it. Their supplies included several hunks of salted meat, which Einar attached to a spit and began to roast for their dinner. Vira sat with her legs crossed and propped her blades up against the side of the bluff. While the meat cooked, she began to sharpen them with a whetstone. Amelia and Egill sat together on the other side of the fire.

"What brings you north?" Egill asked the doe, his accent not quite as thick as Vira's.

She shrugged. "Wanderlust. No reason. I have no where else to go."

Vira grinned but did not look up from her work. "You chose an inhospitable land to come to."

Amelia gazed into the fire. "I wanted to see snow."

By the time the meal was ready, the last of the day's light had faded, leaving their fire as the only beacon in a sea of night. With the bluff blocking most of the wind, it was a surprisingly cozy arrangement. Einar divided up the roast meat and they all began to eat.

"Venison," Einar announced proudly. "I hunted it myself. I'm a pretty good shot... if the prey is small, at least!"

The three northlanders all chuckled. Amelia squeezed her bow and hoped that she hadn't bitten off more than she could chew.

When they were done eating, Einar packed away the uncooked meat and went to sit by Vira. The large wolf leaned up against her nude body with an air of intimate familiarity. "Going to sharpen those swords all night, Vira? Maybe you wouldn't mind polishing a few spears, as well."

The female wolf grinned, revealing her fangs. "My pups can't take care of their own spears, eh?"

Amelia's eyes were drawn to Einar's 'spear,' which was beginning to harden. The larger wolf placed his hand on Vira's shoulder and began to rub his cock against her hip suggestively. "I can handle it just fine, but it's always more fun when you help."

Vira lay her swords and whetstone aside and put one large gloved hand on Einar's stiff length. She ran the large fingers of the glove up and down the shaft playfully and looked over at Amelia and Egill. "Well, wanderer? Do you want to join us and see how we keep warm in the snow?"

Amelia was intensely aware of Egill's proximity. She could feel the slight heat radiating from his naked body. She looked over at him, saw the light of the flames playing off his fur; her eyes seemed to move down on their own to see that his cock was standing erect as well. He was studying her too, with a hungry look that made her insides warm up already. She pushed her cloak to the side and spread her legs slowly.

"I don't think I'd mind..." she said.

The next moment, the doe found herself lying down flat on her back with the large wolf hunched on top of her. Their bodies rubbed together, fur on fur. He licked her muzzle with surprising tenderness and affection, and Amelia couldn't help but smile and return the playful licking. Then she felt the hardness of his cock poke at her groin and gasped.

"I'm good at shooting too, you know," Egill said.

Amelia rolled her eyes and wrapped her legs around the wolf's body as if to draw him into her. "Enough with the bow metaphors, just fuck me already."

Egill reached down between them and guided his cock towards her pink slit. The head rubbed against her lips, smearing them with pre-cum, before sliding in. Egill grunted and pushed hard until half of his length was buried in her tight crevice. Amelia wriggled around between him and tried to get into a comfortable position.

On the other side of the fire, Vira was now on her knees in front of Einar. She pumped his cock furiously with her gloved fist. Then she pushed him down onto his back and mounted him, lowering herself down onto his stiff pole. She snarled aggressively as she sank down onto him, until his full length was inside of her. Her hips began to bounce up and down with quick, sharp movements.

For her part, Amelia was content to lie back and let Egill do the work. The male wolf was making deep thrusts into her, his cock stabbing all the way into her pussy and then pulling all the way back out again. This was not the first time she'd been with a man, but she had never felt so full before. Every time he lunged into her, she squeaked and hugged him tight. He grinned as if amused. Judging by the way Vira was manhandling Einar, the brother weren't used to being the ones in charge.

That didn't last long. Still riding Einar, Vira looked over at where the two of them lay and growled at Egill. "Is that all you have in you? Come on, show her what you are made of!"

Egill gritted his teeth and followed orders by greatly increasing the force with which he fucked the smaller doe. Amelia bit her lip in surprise, but it wasn't unpleasant; rather, his strong, jackhammer thrusts seemed to make her pussy clamp down even more tightly around him, and she felt her head begin to swim with ecstatic pleasure. Without realizing what she was doing, Amelia began to move her body to the rhythm of Egill's thrusts, goading him to fuck her even harder and faster. She squeezed him with her arms and legs, buried her face into the fur of his shoulder and panted hotly.

"Feeling warmed up?" Vira chuckled, and slammed herself down on top of Einar's cock.

Amelia couldn't answer. She could only shut her eyes tight and hang on tight as Egill rode her hard. She was more than warm, though, she was on fire. It was a fire that started in her crotch and was beginning to spread its way through her body until it seemed like even her fingertips with tingling with excitement. She felt like she could explode at any moment, but she held on as though she never wanted it to end... that is, until Egill exploded first.

The wolf's thick cock bulged, and his body tensed on top of her. Then she felt a strong blast of cum shoot out of his rod and deep into her body. She shivered and tried to prepare herself mentally, but the second blast of thick, gooey, semen sent her too far over the edge. Squealing softly into Egill's fur, Amelia came so hard that she began to see stars.

So powerful was her orgasm that she could barely tell what was happening. As the waves of pleasure began to ebb, she realized that Egill had pulled out of her and she was lying limp on the ground with her legs splayed wide. Moments later, a face appeared between her legs: Vira's.

The female wolf licked her lips hungrily. "Not a bad way to spend cold night, da?"

Then she began to lick Amelia's pussy, even as Egill's thick cum poured out of it.

______________________________________________________

They were awake and packed before the morning sun had fully risen. The four of them walked and talked together today, and after all of the sexual exploration from the night before, Amelia found herself feeling more invigorated and much closer to her companions. For a time, at least, the pressures of their mission were lifted from her shoulders.

By the time the afternoon had come, they found themselves nearly to the foot of the mountain. Here the terrain became more rough, with more snow than scrub brush, and several hardy trees that managed to retain their foliage even in the cold air. The four of them trudged on, until Vira came to a sudden stop and raised a gloved fist.

"There," she snarled, looking up at the mountains.

Amelia tried to follow her gaze and realized that she was not looking at the mountains at all, but rather a small but unmistakable dot sailing through the air. At first she thought it was a bird. Then she realized it was far too big to be a bird.

"That is the beast," Vira confirmed.

Dropping to one knee, Amelia pulled a small brass contraption out of one of her pouches and strapped it over one of her eyes.

"What is that thing?" Einar asked her.

"A telescopic sight," Amelia answered. "It lets me see far away."

"And what do you see?" Vira asked.

The alchemically enchanted gears in the sight began to whiz and turn as the lenses inside auto-adjusted themselves. Amelia zeroed in on the dot, now magnified to give her a better look. It was just as Vira had said: it was a scaly brown beast with two webbed wings sprouting from its back, and four legs ben back in flight underneath its body. Each of its legs ended in a set of wicked looking black claws. The beast was a killer, no doubt. To Amelia, it looked every bit a dragon, although she remembered Vira's assurance that it did not hold a candle to a real dragon.

Amelia pushed the scope up onto her brow. "It's like you said. Wings, scales, claws. Probably a mouth full of razor sharp teeth, too. Not a dragon, I guess, but it could have fooled me. Oh. And it's heading in our direction."

The wolf nodded. "Here is where we go on alone," she said. "The pups will stay behind until it is done. They will only be a liability from this point on."

"When you come back victorious," Einar said, "I'll have a fire ready, and we'll roast some of the beast's meat in celebration."

The two wolves unslung their packs and took up positions reclining against one of the snow-laden trees nearby. Vira turned towards the canyon and signalled for Amela to follow. The doe took one last look at their male companions, receiving a sly wink from Egill, and then rushed after her.

They ran at breakneck speeds through the snow, until Amelia spotted a large hill and called out to Vira. They bounded up the slope and stopped at the top. Amelia looked up into the sky again; the beast was closer now, so close that she no longer needed the aid of the scope to make out its form. Panting from their run, Vira squinted up at it. It circled through the air lazily, as if scanning the area below it for prey, unaware that it had now become prey itself.

"I think I can shoot it down from here," Amelia said, dropping to one knee and unslinging her bow. She gripped the heavy weapon with one gauntleted hand and drew back the string with the other, testing its draw.

"At this range?" Vira said, sounding sceptical. "We are still quite far away."

"It will be easier to hit if it doesn't know I'm shooting at it," Amelia explained. "I've hit smaller targets from further."

The doe flicked her telescopic sight down over her eye and stood up. She raised the bow, taking sight at the airborne beast, lining her shot up carefully, tracking the creature's graceful movements as it flew slow circles. Vira watched silently.

When Amelia was satisfied with the conditions she saw, she nodded to herself. Then, with great care, she reached back into her quiver with her string hand and grabbed a handful of fine grey sand out of it. She brought it to small groove in the bow where an arrow would be knocked, and in one fluid motion drew her hand back towards the string. The inert dust came alive immediately, sparkling and glowing a brilliant white.

As Amelia's hand traveled back to the string, the sparkling dust twisted its way out of her grip, darting through the air until it took the form of a brilliant white arrow. Once the missile had fully formed, Amelia placed three fingers on the string and pulled it back until it reached her chin.

Time seemed to slow and the tension of the moment began to build. Still, Amelia held her bow at full draw and did not fire. She focused on the beast in front of her, kept it centered in her vision. She saw where it was and anticipated where it was going. In her mind, the shot played out a dozen times, until finally the path of the beast and the trajectory of the arrow intersected with deadly precision.

Now.

Amelia released the arrow. It left the bow with a thundering crack and lanced through the air with incredible speed and force. Sparks of glowing white dust flew off of it and left a rainbow trail of refracted light in its wake.

The beast turned in its flight, aware that something was flying towards it and moving to evade, but its reactions were too slow. The white arrow slammed into its side, piercing its thick, scaly hide with ease and burying itself deep. The beast shrieked in surprise, twisted in the air, and then plummeted downwards. Amelia and Vira could not see where it landed, but they heard the loud crash.

"A direct hit!" Vira whooped in excitement.

Amelia breathed deeply and tried to calm her racing heart.

"It landed hard, from the sound of it," the wolf was saying. "Let us hurry and finish it off, if there is even any need after that."

They raced down the hill and towards the spot where the beast had gone down. They moved with even more haste now, and Amelia could feel her fear being overshadowed by the tense anticipation of the hunt nearing its completion.

Before long, the terrain began to drop, forming a tree-lined canyon at the base of the mountains. The lip of the canyon was just ahead of them. Seeing it, Amelia increased her speed, eager to survey the canyon for any sign of where the creature.

Just before she reached the lip of the canyon, she was stopped by a vice-like grip on her shoulder. She turned and look at Vira. The wolf had a fierce look on her face.

"What is it?" Amelia asked breathlessly. "I'm going to look over the canyon with my scope and see if..."

"Something is wrong," Vira growled. "It is quiet here, but not quiet enough. I can hear something... something breathing."

Amelia turned and looked out over the canyon below them. The decline into it was not steep, but the snow looked deep. The view would have been serene, if not for the fact that parts of the snowy hill were stained red with blood. The beast had been here, and it was injured, but there was neither sign of where it had landed nor where it had slunk off to.

She turned back to Vira. "Shouldn't we try to find it before it-"

The quiet was shattered in the space of a single breath as the beast exploded out from its hiding place beneath the blood-soaked snow. It shrieked in rage, blood pouring from the wound on its side but wings unfurled, and flew towards them with taloned claws extended. Amelia was frozen in place; she barely had time to register her own terror, let alone try to run. All she saw was the beast coming towards her with murderous intent.

Vira slammed into Amelia, knocking her aside. In the same motion, the scarred wolf drew her blades and prepared to strike. The beast hurtled past the spot where Amelia had stood; Vira twisted and jumped, evading slashing claws and burying one of her blades between the creature's thick scales. The blow barely slowed it down, however, and it swooped upwards, beating its wings madly and taking to the air again. Vira, who refused to relinquish her grip on her weapon, went up with it.

Amelia had landed badly. The wind had been knocked out of her and the arm she'd landed on felt numb. Even so, she struggled to her feet and tried to take stock of the situation. The beast was fleeing back into the sky, but it was headed away from the mountains and back over the flat tundra from which the hunting party had come.

Without thinking, Amelia picked her bow up from where it had fallen in the snow. The doe reached to push her telescopic sight into position, but it was gone, lost somewhere in her fall. She was shaking, although she wasn't sure if it was the cold, her injured arm, or pure adrenaline that was the cause. Even so, she tried to raise the bow and take sight at the creature as it fled. If it got away, it was unlikely they would ever see Vira again.

Amelia shook herself and blinked hard, trying to clear her spinning head. She reached for her quiver and drew another arrow of dust, knocking it and pulling back the string. She aimed at the beast, but stopped. It was flying erratically, and Vira was clinging to its side as best she could. Hitting the beast at all would be a miracle, but she also had to avoid hitting her companion. It would have been a challenging task even if Amelia were calm and steadied.

But she had no choice. She lined up a shot. There would be only one chance

One breath. Wait for it.

Another breath. The distance between the creature and herself increased with every moment, but she had to wait.

A third breath. The shot was lined up.

Now.

She loosed the arrow. It flew unerringly towards its target. Not at the beast's body, not at the wolf who clung to it. That would have been an impossible shot. Instead, the arrow was aimed to the side. The brilliant white missile tore through the webbing of the beast's wing, pierced all the way through and kept going out into the empty blue of the sky.

The creature shrieked again, the wind literally ripped from its sails. It tilted to the side and beat its wings in desperation, but with one wing torn it could not stay aloft. The ground rushed up to meet it until it impacted with a thud and slid through the snow.

Amelia was off running as fast as her legs could carry her, hoping her companion had somehow survived the landing. At first she could see nothing and feared the worst. Hundreds of meters ahead of her, the beast stood up on its legs and shook off bloody snow. There was no sign of Vira. The sword was no longer lodged in its side.

Then the wolf sprang up from the snow, both weapons glinting fatally in the sunlight. She sprang up onto the beast's tail and ran the length up onto its back. Snarling and barking with fury, Vira slashed at the creature with her twin blades, sending hacked scales and gouts of blood flying.

The beast roared and lunged blindly. Vira fell down onto all fours, but somehow managed to maintain her balance on top of the writhing beast. She raised one sword and brought it down directly on the beast's shoulder; the blade bit deep into scale and flesh. Another roar of pain, and the creature rolled onto its side. Just before Vira was smashed between its body and the ground, the wolf lept. She rolled through the snow, coming up on her feet with weapons bared, and rushed at the creature's exposed belly.

Panicked, the beast made one more attempt to defend itself, and slashed at Vira with its hind legs. Vira tumbled underneath the vicious claws, twisted, and swung her blades, lopping the beast's claws clean off with a single blow. Then she was on her feet again, running and jumping, easily dodging the tail that lashed out at her.

Gripping her weapons tightly in her large leathery gloves, Vira let out a bloodthirsty howl and plunged both blades directly into the beast's stomach. The beast howled and thrashed, and this time managed to throw Vira off of her feet and into the snow. Blood poured forth from its wounds, staining the snow red. It swung its head to the side as if confused and tried to roll back onto its legs. Instead, it slumped down again, roaring weakly, until it moved no more. The beast took one last gasping breath and went still. It was dead.

Amelia ran to her friend, who rose up from the snow on shaky legs. Vira growled, her uncovered eye wide and fierce, the adrenaline of the battle still pumping through her veins. The wolf was covered in blood, but as far as Amelia could tell, most of it was not hers.

"It's dead," she said, trying to hold Vira back. "You can relax, it's dead!"

Vira shook her off and took a few unsteady steps towards the beast's carcass. She grabbed her swords where they were stuck in its belly and pulled them free. Then, she collapsed in the snow, panting heavily. Amelia came and sank to her knees beside her.

"You saved me," Amelia said.

Lying on her back, Vira chuckled. "And you saved me. That's two good shots. I guess you do know how to use that thing, eh?"

Amelia sighed. "It was luck. But I'm glad I didn't miss."

______________________________________________________

It was almost dark by the time the two of them rejoined the wolf brothers. True to his word, Einar already had a fire going. Vira had cut enough meat for their dinner that night, and while it wasn't as good as Einar's venison, the meat still tasted of victory, and they all enjoyed it together while sharing tales of hunts past.

Amelia had thought herself too tired to do anything but sleep that night, but when Vira slipped into her bedroll with a look of intent on her face, the doe suddenly found her second wind. She slid in beside the female wolf and their muzzles met in an aggressive kiss. Bare breasts pressed together in the tight confines of the bedroll, and when Amelia felt Vira's fingers - now free of the oversized gloves - slip inside of her pussy, she moaned and spread her legs as wide as she could.

Vira growled sensuously and shoved her fingers deep inside Amelia's tender slit, working them in and out with gowing savagery until the doe's body went stiff and she had a fur-raising orgasm. The wolf withdrew her soaked fingers and sucked the juices off hungrily.

Finding the bedroll too restrictive now, Amelia threw the covers off and had Vira lay down on her back. Then she got on all fours between the wolf's legs and began to lick her dripping pussy eagerly. Vira put her hand on Amelia's head and growled encouragement to her. Amelia pushed her tongue all the way inside of Vira's pussy, and was pleased when the wolf gasped and bucked her hips upward in pleasure.

As Amelia continued to eat Vira out, she felt two hands grab her hips and tilted her head to see Einar positioning himself at her upraised behind. The male wolf's cock was already rock hard, and he pushed it into Amelia's lubricated pussy with some difficulty. Amelia moaned into Vira's crotch and tried to raise her ass higher as Einar began to fuck her with long, steady strokes. Not to be left out, Egill got down on his knees next to Vira and offered her his cock. Vira turned her head to the side and licked it once with her long canine tongue, then opened her muzzle wide and took the entire length inside. Egill gasped and pushed his hips forward, fucking her mouth slowly and carefully.

The four of them fed off of each other's sexual energy. Einar began to fuck Amelia faster, which caused the doe to lick Vira's pussy faster and deeper. The more pleasure Amelia wrung out of Vira with her dexterous tongue, the harder Vira sucked at Egil's cock, until her throat practically bulged with his thick length.

Egill was the first to hit his limit. He growled, threw back his head, and exploded in Vira's mouth. Torrents of cum filled the female wolf's throat, and she swallowed it as fast as she could. Finally Egill pulled his cock free of her mouth, and the last few spurts spattered against Vira's mask, face, and bare chest. Vira licked the salty stuff from her muzzle, enjoying the sudden warmth in her belly. Her own muscles began to clench around Amelia's tongue, and she gripped the doe's fur tightly as she came.

Then Einar grunted and slammed his cock all the way to the hilt inside Amelia's pussy. She felt the wolf's cock throb, and then felt the warmth of his cum as he shot his load deep inside of her. With Vira getting off on one side of her and Einar filling her with warm seed on the other, Amelia shivered and had another powerful orgasm that lasted until Einar's cock began to shrink and he pulled out of her.

When Vira let go of Amelia's fur, the doe crawled up until she was face-to-face with the wolf and kissed her deeply. She could taste Egill's cum on her new friend's tongue.

"You are good at this," Vira growled. "Let us have the brothers switch places and see just how long we can go tonight, da?"

Amelia thought that was a great idea.

Two days later, the four of them finally laid eyes on the settlement again. They returned with as much meat as the four of them could carve off the beast, much to the adulation of the townsfolk, who were relieved to hear that it was finally dead and they no longer had to worry.

"It is good now," Vira said to Amelia as they walked through the cheering crowd, "but eventually something else will take the beast's place. And, like now, I will go and hunt it or them. Let us hope that one does not fly, too."

Amelia smiled. "I'm sure you'll find a way to deal with it if it does."

"And you? Where will you wander now?" Vira asked.

The doe thought a bit. "I don't know. Back down south, I think. The snow is pretty but I don't think I'd like to go any further north."

She thought for a moment. Then her smile widened a bit. "But I think I could stay here for a while longer at least. If there's room for me to stay."

Vira, Egill and Einar exchanged grins. "There will be a warm bed here for as long as you wish to stay," Vira said.

"Three of them," Einar added.

"Yes," Amelia said, nodding. "I think I'll stay for a while longer."

The four of them walked on, the wolves in the back and Vira and Amelia up front, and let the townsfolk cheer them. There would be a feast tonight, and after that...

Amelia looked at Vira and smiled. After that, a cold northern night, with all of the 'warmth' they entailed.
