Chapter IX: Invasion, Part One
#9 of The Outsiders
"And then he just left.", J.D whimpered to Eric. Who at this point was blank faced and was rubbing J.D's head in comfort as he cried out his emotions.
"Well if I'd know anything about Koji it is that he never does anything with out reason and when he reappears he will have a perfectly acceptable reason. Remember he is emotionally silent, you have manged to drag out something I've never even thought Koji could do, and with his cybrogization, he's reverted, fallen back to his primal state of no emotion, he's grown used to show this certain emotion to you and when he couldn't feel that he couldn't stand to not feel anything for you.", Eric said as he continued to explain.
J.D got out of Eric's rub, and wiped the tears out of his eyes. Eric continued rubbing to used to the action to stop. "So you mean that Koji just couldn't stand to not love me.", He said with hope.
"Well, Koji is going to either seek out help or something terrible is going to happen when Koji explodes, or impoldes.. I guess?", Eric said.
Koji walked into an office. The walls were painted brown, the shades were down for privacy. Shelves along the two opposing walls had little props, from tiny happy-meal like toys to little awards and trophies. On the other walls were diplomas, labeling her extensive history in the arts of Sub-conscious psychology.
From another door a human female walked in, she was about a foot smaller than Koji. She was long brown hair down her face. She looked confident and walked in with a purpose. She was about 50 years old, her old age showing in the lines and wrinkles on her face.
"Hello, I'm Doctor Hofstadter, so tell me Koji what is your problem?", She asked as she shook hands with her client and both of them sat down in their respective seats. He thought about the question for a second, really pondering the question.
"I can't feel any emotion, I was fine before we went to Mexico, but now its just blank.", Koji said, "I assume that patient-doctor confidentiality is in play?"
"Yes, Elemental Master. I have read over the mission files you presented me and I believe that we can find the source of this mental block in the time passed during your time as a cyborg. You might have re-raised your mental shields that J.D lowered.", She explained.
She walked over to one of the shelfs and grabbed a watch, a pocket watch. "Now this might sound like a cliche, but you seem clam enough that focusing on a object should allow you to enter the subconscious state. When you enter you will relive the event in flashes.", She held up the watch in front of Koji.
Koji watched the watch focusing on its essence, he was instantly taken in. He blanked out, and reopened his eyes. He tried to move but had no control of his body. He looked out left and right, he was walking in corridor towards a door. He entered the room, and watch as J.D and Ro were frightened by his new appearance.
He flashed again, he was walking out in the desert. Cacti were all around and tiny bushes. He turned around and faced Jackson. He felt his energy beams shoot out and attach to a cactus nearby, the line turned green and spikes formed on his arms. He ran forward Koji slamming his arm into Jackson. Jackson held on to his arms as they were injured.
He flashed again. He was facing Jackson again, he felt weak in his knees. Jackson held up a gun, he saw tears running from his eyes. He tried to escape, try to avoid what would happen. Inner Koji cringed as Jackson pulled the trigger. In a second a world of pain entered his body. He was shot trough the heart, he fell to ground grabbing the injury.
He blanked out again and woke up on a medical table. "Good he was dead for a good day, he's stable again.", A doctor said to a man in a suit. The human wore a suit and tie and had sunglasses blocking his face, on his waist was a pistol. He had combed back dirty blond hair and a disgruntled frown.
"Good the rest will have their memories wiped. For him knock him out for a week .", The mysterious agent said to the doctor. "Make sure they think that the dragons are cureable, if they learned we failed, then they lose hope." Koji flashed again and was back in the office.
"Well I died so that could do it.", Koji said when he woke up.
Gordon King walked out of another casino, he was officially broke and had no money to gamble. No loan shark would give him any money and he was in serious debt to everything. Basically he had nothing to live for. He couldn't take in anymore, his wife took custody of all his children and the child support was killer, he was a parasite to this world.
Gordon King was a human, 6.5, he started in this world fifty years ago and had plently of partners to share a few days of the fifty years with. When he was twently he started a Law Firm, practicing law in Las Vegas. When he was 35 he met his ex-wife with whom he bore two children. Two years ago he was shut down and kicked out only with the money in his pockets.
He walked out on to the streets joining in on the crowds. He avoided the rubble from last night's strange earthquake, modern engineering fixing most of the minor damage in half a day. He decided to take a shortcut and he made a turn into an alley.
About halfway trough he noticed that he hadn't entered the normal plaza that would be there. He looked around, he noticed a shadow creeping its way across the wall. He backed up trying to not find out what contact with the moving shadow would do, but the shadow shot out blocking him and preventing him from escape. The shadow moved in, shrinking and covering the body. It absorbed into his skin, before he reappeared.
He looked around and saw another more formed shadowy figure before him. "Hello, Gordon.", The figure stepped foward, striking fear into the human's heart with every step.
"How.. How do you know my name.", He said backing away from the figure, trying to get out of the alley before anything happened to him.
"Because you are my next test subject, the shadows that just absorbed in your skin contained a copy of the orginal serum of the Dragon outbreak, yet I've enhanced it.", He said as the transformation started.
"You won't win, the Outsiders will...", He was cut off as pain shot up his spine.
"Will what, you are just a peice of the puzzle. You are just the beginning.", Bright said. He turned around and dissappeared into the shadows, satisfied with the Gene Raiders newest subject.
Gordon tried to resist try to avoid changing, he held it all in trying to prevent it from taking over. He screamed out as the transformation took over. He fell to the ground, slamming his hand on the ground trying to endure the pain that was coursing trough his system.
It started in his hands, his finger nails extended out, curving out around the figure and forming a claw. The claw turned black and dug into the ground as he gripped the ground in pain. He loosened his grip as he felt the energy, the power surging trough out his body. His viens popped out as blood surged through them delivering the energy for transformation and the chemicals to start it.
For one second Gordon felt perfect, nothing was wrong. The only thing he could hear and fell was the sound of his heart pumping blood trough him. "Dum, Dum, Dum, Dum." The second passed and the full tranformation started. His muscles bulged out, growing and growing.
His suit was teared as the transfromation ripped up his arms, the blood vessels and his musles surging out growing to monstrous proportions. His arms lengthen down growing longer. He screamed out in pain as both his arms were transformed. He reached over and started to rip of his suit before he became trapped in it.
The transformation moved to his body. His scapulas broadened out growing back and thicker. His muscles stretched back and growed froming a musclar V-shape on his back. Around his spine all his muscles grew out. On the other side of his body his pecs grew out, growing large. His stomach fat was obliterated and he got and instant 6 pack.
He cried out in a sudden pleasure. In a moment he flipped over and looked down. He spurted a blast of pre as his penis started to grow. He looked in awe as it continued to grow to large length of 16 inches. Its tip became flared and became a deep black color. He grabbed it and started to jack of like a madman.
His legs grew out, becoming like the rest of his body. His feet grew out, and each of the toes grew. His toenails grew out and became claws. Out of his hand black scales grew out of skin. They covered his body from an armor like barrier over his body. His mouth spread out forming a muzzle, sharp teeth grew out replacing his teeth. Two horns grew out of his head.
Finally two structures formed on his back. They spread out and became wings. He roared out as his transformation was complete. He moan-roared out in pleasure and blasted out cum over the walls and in the alley.
He spread out his wings and jumped up. He flew out of the alley and into the street. People pointed up and screamed at the flying dragon in the sky. He looked around, and set his sights on a woman in the streets. He roared again and slammed his body down on the woman paralyzed by fear.
He put the weight on the woman and raised both his claws. Orange, blue, and red energies covered the hands forming a glove over the hands, two sharp energy claws formed. He slashed down ripping into the woman. Blood splattered on the sidewalk as claws teared into the woman.
People screamed at the terrfining act running away as the dragon teared into the woman. The dragon backed off of the dead woman teared to pieces. He backed up of the woman and looked around he make a confused gesture as to why everyone ran away.
Bright looked down on his experiment, Ex-0103, codename NRG. Behind him another figure walked up looking down on the experiment with a disgruntled smile. "What the hell is this a dragon that murders when its plays with people?", He said.
"No give it time that is just a side effect of energy overload, to many things for the brain to work. Its reverted to a prime dog-like stage but in a few minutes it will adjust and it will obey my every will and whimsy, NRG will start to infect others, then.. Then we will wait and see what happens."
Jackson and Eric stood dumfounded as they looked up at the mansion that Raoul claimed he lived at. It was massive, countless rooms on both sides of the main door. They both looked at each other and put on their pairs of sunglasses. They walked up and knocked on the door.
Two leopards opened the door, both male. One was black and other other a snow leopard.
"Hello Mr. and Mr. Santos, I am Special Agent Eric Enderson and this is Very Special Agent Jackaon Smith.", Eric said whacking his tail against Jackson. "Were here because we believe your son might have information on the identity of the super that caused lasts night earthquake."
"Yes, we know, he said he knew that you two would be coming over to interrogate him.", The snow panther said almost excitingly as if that was the most exciting thing to happen all day.
"Well actually we have some suspects down at the office, so if we can borrow him for a few hours, and don't worry he's not in trouble, this sort of thing happens all the time.", Jackson reassured them.
Raoul walked down the steps behind the door, now wearing an closed double-breasted white longcoat that edged down to his knees. A black and white striped shirt and a pair of cargo shorts. "Bye dad, father I'll be back later.", He said to his parents. He kissed them both on the cheek and walked out.
They closed the door and Jackson and Eric watched as Raoul nonchalantly walked out. He got into the back seat of the car and sat silently waiting for the two to come.
"I like him.", Eric said to Jackson as they walked to the car.
"First thanks for getting me out of there, they looked like they were about to rip each other's clothes off, and secondly what are we doing today?", He asked as if he wasn't nervous.
"Your not anxious at all?", They both thought, but only Eric asked Raoul.
"No, I literally grounded myself, I am open to anything.", He said.
"Well first we find out weather your an Outsider or a Super, then we go from there.", Jackson explained. "If your an Outsider you have to join us but if you turn out as a super you can insteed chose to join the nearest Super organization."
"Ok, but if its all the same I'd rather stay in Las Vegas.", Raoul said laying back into the seat and closing his eyes.
"So what was with the tail slap?", Jackson said as he changed the subject.
"Well, I have to let everybody know who my bitch is.", He said trying to act sly.
"No, your my bitch.", Jackson said causing Raoul to raise an eye at the conversation between the two. Raoul reached into the pocket and pulled out a phone plugging in two ear buds and blocking out the two as drove towards the facility.
"So you died.", Dr. Hofstadter said to Koji who seemed be confused but not shocked at the major revelation, "And are you ok, do you feel ok?", She asked.
"No, I want to feel something, anything.", He pleaded with the psychologist.
"I think you need to confront J.D and find your passion again. There is nothing else I can't do without breaking some law or causing serious mental damage. If I can suggest anything it is that you find what you and. J.D have most in common and do it."
"Thank you.", Koji said as he promptly left the office early. He was worried, Samantha was now the least of there problems and he needed to find out how and why he died and was brought back to life and who was the man who over saw that.
He felt his phone vibrate in his pant's pocket. He pulled it out and insteed of a call, he got a text. He ran out of the office complex and to his motorbike. He drove off towards the Las Vegas Strip again. He arrived to the bloody remains of something on the ground, he looked at it for a second grossed out and then turned his attention to the dragon on a rampage.
The Dragon was on all four of its muscalar legs slashing up the body of a random citizen. Koji's face turned to horror as he looked around and realized how many people the Dragon had killed in the short time it was unleashed.
He looked at the dragon's large claws. Orange, blue, and red energy formed a solid barrier like armor around the dragon. He looked back down to the bloody remains and mentally told himself what the energy claws could do. He looked around for a second looking for a material to absorb.
The dragon turned around and stared at Koji. His eyes narrowed, as the feral dragon suddenly focused on Koji. It pupils narrowed and roared out as the dragon formed an uncontrollable hate for Koji. It stood on its hind legs, stilling hunching its back, and bending its legs down. The dragon roared out into the sky, birds flying out when they hear the massive roar. It swung out its claws and jumped up. The dragon extended its wings and floated for a second.
The dragon locked on to Koji and flew down towards the shark. It flew close to the ground, speeding up as it got closer. Koji made a spilt second decision and jumped to the left behind a car. The dragon sped by flying at breakneck speed. Koji looked left and right and decided on rubber of the car wheels.
His placed his right hand on the left driver-side wheel and his hands glowed red as the material was replicated over his body. The rubbery material covered his body, forming a knight like armor over his entire body. He then used left hand and pointing it at the electrical wires overhead. The red energy lines shot out and drained the electricity out of the wire and into Koji. Electricity arced his hands and up his arms.
He ran out into the open, "Hey dragon come and get me!", He yelled out getting the dragon's attention. The dragon flew to the end of the street and flew up past the building block. NRG turned around and flew back toward Koji. He roared out and put his claws forward.
Koji let the electricity fly out from his body and into the air. He blasted a shock forward towards NRG. The dragon traveling too fast couldn't avoid the attack and was brutally shocked as the electricity entered its body and shocked it.
The dragon fell to the ground temporarily paralyzed. It twitched on the ground as it lost control of its muscles. The dragon roared out in pain as it was shocked. "Hey electricity is my thing.", Ro said as static arced around his hands. Behind him Jackson followed.
"Eric, we found the source.", Jackson said into his earpiece. "Yes, I'll be careful. I love you too.". He said. He walked out into the street and examined the spasming dragon. His faced turned to shock when he realized what the dragon was.
"He's done it.", He said backing off from the dragon, Ro and Koji gave him a strange look for a second, "He's gone crazy, he's releasing dragons even when we have the cure."
"Wrong, Jackson you might want to rethink that. The cure didn't work on any of the dragons, but he used the original serum on this one, but we've captured him for sure. We can reverse engineer a true cure.", Ro said.
"How do you..", Koji said in shock of the fact that Ro knew what he though he only knew.
"I know that because I called up the prison and they said that the Dragon Containment Room was still full from the last attack.", Ro explained to the two. "I don't know how but Bright made the first wave invisible to the cure."
"Ok easy than, I'll take our friend here.", Jackson said until he suddenly stopped. He froze up as fear invaded the Orca's body. It creeped up his spine, the same feeling of fear he had when Samantha attacked Eric. Steam blew behind him from the dragon's nose as it stood up behind him.
The dragon got up, its pupils back to normal and all signs of rage that it had only seconds before free from the body. Koji watched as the dragon stood conscious and seemly unaware of the three before it, he wondered how it could be possible that everything he felt from the dragon in the mere seconds of combat that they faced. The dragon looked calmed and relaxed. It spread out its wings with a roar, flapping the membranes for a second then taking off into the sky.
"What the hell was that!", Ro yelled out as watched the dragon circled around them and then fly off to the north direction. Koji noted that even its flying was relaxed, it didn't seem to be in a rush to arrive anywhere and was taking its time. Koji placed his hands down and released his grip, the rubber material over him disposing onto the ground with sparks of electricity.
"I don't know, even for a dragon that seems more than out of character, its like something got its attention and it's rage was overloaded by intense focus.", Jackson elaborated with the two. "This definitely widens the mystery."
"We should get out of here, this will be a massive media field day.", Jackson said, as he suggestively walked back into the alley. Koji looked around for any dragons, and expressed his regret that the people were torn to pieces over getting turned into dragons, but it made him pounder a thought, "Would people and which people would chose to become dragons over death?",
This thought was abruptly send to the back of his head when Jackson interrupted his thought process, "Koji don't mean to upset you, but Eric said J.D is pretty sad over what you did to him.", Jackson said, "Eric, what did he do?", He asked Eric over his bluetooth. Jackson's eyes widened as he heard what Koji did over the earpiece.
"I swear its not what it seems.", Koji said trying to defend himself over what happened last night. Jackson approached him with an angry face. He seemed to emit disappointed growl. He reached over for Koji and grabbed his shirt and pulled him, yanking Koji. Koji yipped as he was pulled over.
"You leave J.D at an Hover Floating Rink after a wonderful date, you leave him there as an earthquake was about to begin. You leave him there all alone, defenseless and vulnerable. Give me one reason why I should punch you in the face right now.", Jackson yelled pulling back his fist.
"Hey Jackson, leave Koji alone. I'm sure he has a reason.", Ro said trying to defuse the situation at hand, "Go on, tell him why,", Ro signaled to Koji.
"I couldn't feel.", He whispered out his little dirty secret. He broke down as Jackson let him go, falling to his knees. He started to weep realizing what he did, all the built up emotions from all his life, that he struggled not to let out all flowed out in his tears.
"Koji...", Jackson said trying to make the shark fell better. He got on his knees and rubbed Koji's head, trying to comfort the Shark in his moment of weakness.
"No, I lost him. He was the love of my life, and I lost him. Everything is falling to pieces, I died Jackson, you shot me and I bleed out. Someone brought me back, I don't now how and who ever did it wiped your memories. I had it all and now I lost it, I've hit rock bottom.", He weeped out.
"No you're not, I won"t let you hit rock bottom. You're going to find and buy J.D the greatest present ever, and you are going to make up with him. You have no idea how much he wanted you to wake up before Traditional Christmas, so you two could celebrate it.", He said patting Koji on the back.
Koji looked up stopping his out of character weeping, and instead looked up at Jackson who now was a shining beacon of glimmering hope for to him seemed like a horrible end to their new found relationship. He scampered up from the dirty ground.
"You really think its possible.", He begged to Jackson, Koji looked and sounded like a mess, Jackson realized that Koji felt terrible about what had happened, everything that happened.
"First go to your house, clean up. Second go find the best gift for J.D. Finally come to my house, my parents are away on business, me and Eric can make a Christmas Eve dinner, and you can apologize before dinner.", He explained.
"Wait your parents are away for Christmas?", Ro asked trying to change the subject for a second.
"Yeah they work with some company, Nunez Logistics, doesn't matter, what matters right now is you, and one day in my time of need you'll repay me.", Jackson said, sealing the dinner plans for the night. "Now get going bud."
"You didn't tell me your parents were away.", Eric said over the earpiece to Jackson. "You know I'm there for you if anything happens, I love you."
"Awe thanks Eric, I love you too.", He said making a kiss noise over the bluetooth, "Now get me some information on Lazarus Syndrome, way to bring back the dead, and the your recipe for lemon beer battered fish."
Koji knew what he wanted when he walked into the Martinez Jewelry Shop. He wasted no time looking around at the countless watches, necklaces, and rings coated in countless materials and rip-off materials. He instead walked over to a counter, a latin Komodo walked out from the back took his position at the counter.
"Hello son what can we get you today, we have the finest jewelry to sell and make, but since you came to this counter I think I know what you want.", The Komodo reached down behind the counter and pulled out a small device.
"Exacto.", He said looking at the device. It was a small metal platform. A small metal beam connected what seemed to be a laser over the platform. Connected was a series of wires and brainwave scanners. It was a custom jewelry creator, scanning the brainwaves it would create a masterpiece from the feelings one had.
"Shall we begin?", The lizard asked, Koji stood silent for a second and nodded. The lizard grabbed the scanner and placed one on Koji's temple. Koji shivering as the cold scanners attached, another was placed on his forehead, and two on the back of his head. The Komodo turned on the device, and a holographic screen formed.
Koji closed his eyes and remembered J.D, he remember the day more specially the night he met J.D, the night he first appeared to him and changed into his current form. He remembered the next night, where they began there relationship, and the night after that when they first made love. All his feelings returned to him and he could feel the warmness surround him again.
He felt the feeling of J.D surrounding him and protecting him. Everything that was great to him returned, everything he missed and craved to have returned. He felt truly happy as he thought of everything that he loved about J.D everything that he couldn't wait be be around again.
The machine pinged and on the hologram a model of necklace he thought off formed. He looked at it and he smiled it representing everything he wanted, needed and gave in his relationship with his mate.
The impromptu Traditional Christmas Eve Dinner was thrown together in under three hours and at about 4:30 and at the first guest arrived. Jackson and Eric's friends arrived at the house. "Ok, so we're going to keep the Outsider talk on the down-low."; Eric whispered to Jackson as they stood by the door.
Jackson gave him a stern, "are you serious" look and then opened the door, outside three of their friends; Matt, Robert and Erica stood outside. Erica, the only non-fur was holding what looked to be a casserole and Matt and Robert were obviously the couple of the three, Robert, an lion was holding his arm around Matt, an otter's shoulder.
They all took a look at Eric and Jackson and realized what was going on between the two, and non seemed surprised, "Hey look who finally got together, Jackson and Eric, some one owes me a dollar and fifty cents.", Matt said then rubbing up on Robert. Robert leaned his head down and laid a kiss Matt's head.
"Hehehe, go do that some place else, we're here to enjoy an early traditional December 24th Christmas Eve.", Jackson said as he let the group of three inside his house. He kissed Erika on the cheeks as she handed the casserole to him. He walked into the kitchen placing the casserole next to the competed dinner.
He walked back out and past the socializing Eric, Robert, and Matt who were arguing over who had the better relationship. He walked over to the door and opened it. Raoul, Ro and J.D were at the door both arrived from the facility. "Hey there guys come in, come in I'm glad you guys arrived."
He stopped J.D at the door, "Are you ok?", He asked J.D who seemed to be putting on a face for everyone else.
"Fine, I feel better. I sure Koji has a perfectly acceptable reason for what he did.", He said walking into the house. Jackson patting the shark as he entered the conversation.
"Hey Eric who's your friend.", Robert asked as they noticed J.D.
"That's J.D, he just transferred here.", Eric explained as J.D entered the group conversation.
"Hi, I'm J.D.", He said just putting his hand and back down.
"I'm Mark and this is my boyfriend Robert.", He said putting out his hand out to shake. J.D put his hand out and shook Mark's hand and then Robert's friend. "Remember three-ways are not out of our range, and if what I read about sharks...", Mark said before Robert gave him a stern look.
Their conversation was interrupted by the door knocking, Jackson opened the door and not to the shock Koji walked in. He didn't waste his time and walked over to J.D.
"Hello J.D, I am sorry. I did a bad thing and it was stupid. That was in the past and I would like to ask would you please take me back.", He begged to J.D. J.D looked at his eyes and could see that what he was saying was true.
"Oh Koji, yes.", He said wrapping his arms around Koji. Koji reached into his pocket and pulled out the necklace case. He tapped on J.D's back and put it in his hand. J.D opened the box and was taken back by how beautiful the necklace was. It was gold plated, a circle surrounded two feral sharks swimming around each other. Koji took the necklace and put it where it belonged.
The two lovers kissed and the dinner started, and for a second it seemed that all the worlds problems were behind them.
Koji and J.D walked out of their house looking in horror as a wave of dragons descended upon the city. One flew down and opened it mouth, it spewed out fire. Koji and J.D ran back away from the dragon and along the sidewalk, slowly stepping back from the dragon. The dragon looked up and it saw an opportunity. It spewed fire up into the sky, the torrent of flames spiraling up into the second floor of the building above.
The outdated brick structure, crumbled as the mortar gave out. The structure shook as the fire broke it apart the massive bricks falling down on Koji and J.D.
