A battle for the ages
This is my first story so please, no hate comments.
Shade didn't know what had happened. One minute he was fighting a powerful creature, and the next, he was on the ground covered in blood.
"I should have died." He said to out loud. "So why am I still alive?"
He looked over to find the creature, dead.
"What could have done this?" He thought. "I could barely hold my own against that thing so they had to have been stronger than me."
He tried to get up, but cried out in pain because of his wounds. He inspected them, they weren't bad, they would heal.
Exhausted, he crawled over to a tree and leaned up against it. Soon sleep overtook him.
He failed to notice the figure sitting in looking down at him.
"Soon you will know the truth Shade, soon." The figure said before vanishing.
