a human changed to see the coming storm of dragons

It was just anther of those days where he kept half a cities distance from the dragons half of the city.

It was nowhere a human would ever want to be without the want of a death wish, he always felt that the fashion in which the city had been divided left it all at risk, he understood that humans and dragons never mixed.

After all he remembered tales of the war.

It was brought to an end but it still left many on both sides hating the other. It all seemed pointless to him, but at any rate dragons view humans ,on the whole, as nothing more then a quick and easy to eat meal, and humans would try to kill any dragon that crossed the divide.

Naturally he had been indoctrinated into the human system, learning that dragons were nothing more than monsters, he no longer had any idea of what the truth was, being almost an outcast himself, always outspoken, he always found himself wandering alone deep in thought.

Upon a evening's wandering he saw a dragon surrounded by eleven humans. It appeared to be still very young.

What was it doing on the human side, and were the humans truly fouls to try to kill a young dragon that was almost on its own side the divide? If there had being any adult dragon around those humans would be nothing more then a bloody stain left as a reminder of the devastation dragons can inflict upon humans.

He knew he could let nothing happen to the young dragon as no young, regardless of species, deserved this. So he ran into the back of one of the humans in an attempt to aid the young one. As the young dragon saw a human knocked to the floor it also saw an opening.

Despite being wounded it summoned the survival instincts to turn on the humans.

A gruesome blood bath ensued as it mercilessly clawed its way through the humans.

Seeing a human attacking its own kind was a shock for the young one. It had always learned that humans were monsters who wanted nothing more then the death of all dragons, yet here was one coming to its aid.

After a brief scuffle with the humans, that had tried to kill him, with all its might the dragon pinned down the human that had helped him. He decided to take this one home to quiz it, after all, why would a human help a dragon?

The young dragons return home with its prize was swift.

As he enters his family home his mother comes to greet him. "Ah, I see you have been hunting humans." He nodded his head, he had eaten the best parts of the humans he had killed. This one however it forced into its home.

His puzzled mother tilts her head, enquiring, "Why did you bring an alive one home my dear?"

He turns to his mother and smiles, "This one saved me and I want to know, why?"

"Saved you!?" she brought one eye closer to the human, shoved in front of her, asking the same thing. She could sense the fear in this human, it was not as strong as others she had eaten, he seemed to have more control over his feelings, more so than most of the other cattle.

She licks him asking, "Why!!?"

"I could not let any harm come to a young one," he said.

"Interesting," she replied licking him again. "Do you think this will save your life?"

He could see the edge of a wicked grin upon her maw. "I don't think any thing can save me, I am already meat as I am in a dragon's lair." She smiled and exclaimed, "How nice, a realist who knows his place within the food chain."

Her son asks, "Can I keep him mother? He can help me become a better hunter of humans."

Lifting her head from the human to her son she turns to say, "We will need to mark him as property of our family, I will have to ask father."

Exhibiting a smile of joy and pushing past his mother, with human in hand, the young dragon heads to his room. He begins to ask him about him self.

The first couple of days were spent in the young male dragons room, where he asked a lot of what the human did and how they lived. He gave back his own views and he himself learnt a lot about dragons and that they are not the blind killers that humanity had made them out to be. The only reason for this being, dragons viewed humans as food.

The only reason for this being, humans starting the war. For him to hear the other side of the story brought changes to him, as he sat there he was fed by the young dragon, ripping meat from its own meal to feed him, leaving his parents to smile at how well he was looking after his pet.

But a pet he would not remain, though the human did not need to know what they had in store for him.

The blood right was a magic ritual which gave dragons the opportunity to infringe upon the human, tainting the human with the life force of a dragon that would overwhelm him.

The blood right, or the power of the family, was to begin with the family mark branded upon the humans face.

The act of family blood right, that makes the chosen human a part of the family.

Thoughts that have taken place in the human's mind would be over written.

Both parents must bite as to transfer draconic energy from them, enabling

the human's indoctrination.

But for the moment he would be their sons pet. After all it was the bonding that would aid the changes to come.

When their son was away his mother would take the time to groom the human in the dragon way which, though alien to him at first, was strangely becoming so natural.

Even her mate would feed him as he was being made ready and adjusted for the final steps.

Some of the meat the mate fed the human was in fact human flesh, though the human never asked what it was, he would just eat, as far as being a cannibal.....

Eating his own kind was of little concern as his humanity would be stripped away from him, making him the stuff of nightmares to his ,former, fellow man.

He ate what ever they gave him, his mind was becoming clouded, he did not acknowledge this though.

Unbeknownst to the man, he was slowly becoming dragon.

Like in his taste, if even at the beginning of all this he would prove to shy away from the meat, but they made it clear to him, "Eat this or eat nothing."

After three nights he began eating as well as the sustenance of a soon to be dragon requires.

His thoughts were know overwhelmed by concepts that, to a human at least, were alien. The nature of his being was now that of the family of dragons that had taken him.

Blissfully unaware of the reason they did not eat him and a life owed to the young dragon he had saved.

In doing so he had been granted ,but not asked for, a strange transition from his human self to that of a predator, as most dragons are to man.

History leading dragons to viewing them as nothing more than a resource, a prey to be feasted upon.

If there was any understanding of that which was happing to him it was but a hazy. After all, an image of what had been his mind was changed till nothing human remained. As for his human flesh, even that would give way to that of the dragon that at least in mind is what he was.

He spent days under the eyes of the family as they watched him accepting that was what he would become, slowly they changed that, that he ate, to be in tune with that of the dragon race. Yet his mind would not be lost for there is need of what his human mind, after all nothing makes a predator more dangerous then knowing its preys habit

At the start of the change they fed him cooked meat as they knew the limits and tolerances of the human digestive system, being that after all, dragons learned from their own herds of humans that they kept for the feast of the dragon.

It is at the feast of the dragons the final change would take place for this human that even now was eating human flesh.

He spent his time with their youngest son, a male dragon known as, Firewing, helping each other in learning that which will make them fine hunters and even better killers of humans.

The mark of the dragon family he bore upon his brow, the magic slowly taking affect on him his mind was become more like that of his dragon brother. As the days turned into weeks under the eyes of his soon to be parents.

At first he tried to resist eating normal dragon food, but they did not let up on him. He had no way around it, he even let the dragoness groom him like he was already one of her young she would tear strips of meat from a carcass to feed to him.

Both his future parents spent time with him make sure that there was nothing left save from the predator in the making.

They both spent time watching him and their natural born dragon son interact, it pleased them to see that they were always together as brothers of the nest, needs be that was instinct.

The first changes they could see, save from how he acted, was that of his eyes, now taking the cool calculated look of the prime hunter he would become.

It was just a single day now to the feast of the dragons where his final change into that of a second son to them would be complete. It was the most eloquent and enjoyable of things to do, to rob humanity that which could have helped them, aid them, to stop that which is to come.

The divide was ready to open and the world of men would feel the hot breath of the dragons as they gorge upon human flesh.

His change would be complete upon making his first kill. They had already picked out a human that once he had known, for they have looked deep into his mind and decided it would be his friend that would become the victim which completed the change.

The feast of the dragons was a blood bath. Cattle, sheep, goats, horse and even human were upon the menu.

Whether there was any thought of his own original past it was hard to say. Adam was his human name, but it was nothing but a faint echo to him. Now possessing an alien mind that belonged to a dragon of the draco line.

His parents had decided to rename him, Wrath, it seemed to fit there new son, as like all dragons he had a great disdain for humanity and desired to seem them as the cattle they were born to be.

In its short sighted nature humanity had waged a war against the dragons and had first won many great battles, until the dragons found a way to turn the greatest human generals into the very tools to bring humanity to its knees

He was brought before the final test that would be the consumption of his friend, even he could never tall that the dragon that was to end his life was, Adam, his friend. All he saw was a cold hearted, hot breathed killer who desired to consume him, and he was helpless to do any thing to stop this fate.

He had been shown around just to tease him, all the way detailing that which was about to happen to him.

Seeing a horse ripped into two halves, the dragons revelling in the blood lust.

The blood of the many creatures that were eaten there covered the scales of each dragon, as like war paint of days gone by.

Clarke was lead past screen after screen of blood and torture. He saw the fate of humans who, without exception, met a fate befitting of their status as cattle.

The larger adult dragons would swallow humans whole, whilst still very much alive.

Into their scaly bellies they went, to feel the joy of live food granted them heightened amorous feelings, generating lust between male and female dragons, using the blood of animals to heighten their sexual desire.

But there were other humans who would meet a different fate. They would be forcibly turned into dragons, these were key targets to the dragons, the ones that knew the weaknesses of the stronghold they had set in place. A plan for the down full of humanity was to be their revenge.

The plan had being waiting, weighing upon the wings of the dragons who live a very long time.

Most could recall the last human lead genocide upon the dragon clans, as they were mostly thousands of years in age.

Even though the humans that lead that campaign are long since gone their blood line goes on and what better fate for those than to become the cattle of the rising dragon empire.

Wraths time had come, he was lead out before his human prey, his first kill. His parents cheered him on as he walked painfully slowly, to the eyes of his former friend, before running a claw across his chest, being careful not to end it to soon as he carefully plucked out his heart and held it aloft before the human, tossing it into his gapping maw and swallowing it whole. The human's eyes died and a cheer went up, another had completed the transformation.

The time had come, the gates were unlocked, the dragons have waited so long ,because they can, as to strike too soon would bring ruin upon their plan, and yet humanity had no idea of the dragon's numbers being so high. Maybe it was the fact they did not know that dragons now could change humans in to the very thing that they despised, and in doing so there would be war, with dark grinning maws the dragons smiled knowing that humanities fate was sealed

The balance had shifted it was time for the humans to see genocide
