#10 of Bunny Tails

Well after much too much frustration thanks to academic projects and such here is my next upload! More Bunny Tails for everyone! :3 I know it is a bit short but I thought it served as a good introduction to the next arc of the story. I hope everyone enjoys and as always comments and critiques are greatly appreciated!

Early morning sunlight broke through the light haze hovering just overhead. Songs filled the air as the birds awoke with the early morning light. The forest itself seemed to come to life as the sun's rays added it's warmth to the humid air. The wolf's ears took it all in as he added his own sounds to the euphonious melody of nature. The padding of his hindpaws against the grass-covered earth and the rhythmic panting escaping his muzzle added a certain personal touch to an already beautiful symphony. Peaceful was too bland of a word to describe this morning. The beauty was not in the more of the scene, it was in the less. It was true that the vast amount of colors and scents filling the air was pleasing, yet it was in the lack of society that he found true calm. The din of furs going about their daily lives in an attempt to get ahead of one another was absent here. In that place, at that time, there was only the vast forest and its inhabitants surrounding one black wolf. There was only one thing left unmentioned that made this morning perfect. One other that, while out of sight, was never out of mind.

Sweat dripped from the fur of his bare torso as he continued his run. Every strand was saturated, leaving no other option for the newly formed perspiration but to drip. Every step propelled his muscular frame forward towards his goal. The end of his run was not the goal in mind, it was the continuation that every step granted that he strove for. Working out his stresses, his fears, and occasionally any dietary deviations made with his friends, gave him a weightless feeling. He could continue on as long as his legs would carry him. The only thing slowing him down was his concern. It was why the wolf slowed his pace; why he glanced over his shoulder, searching for something expectantly. The cracking of a twig drew his attention, and there he saw the object of his unease.

The rabbit came at a somewhat slower pace than normal. Cheeks slightly red but breathing even and steady. Klaus had been through a lot to get back to where he was. Recovery was never an easy series of events, and Klaus's own was no exception. Miles smiled as he watched his mate approach. Every step was even, and the bunny's stride seemed to have returned to normal. It would only be a matter of time before there would be no worry of leaving him behind. The canine turned to focus on the path ahead as his mate wordlessly joined him. No words need be said on such a perfect morning; a shared look and an affectionate smile was all that was needed for the two furs. Their connection was strong, and the days of feeling as if conversation was necessary had passed long ago. Now, just Klaus's presence was enough to soothe his longing and fill him with pure joy. This made the remainder of the run that much easier.

By the time the two came within sight of their home the temperature had already begun to rise drastically. It was going to be another miserably hot day. Miles panted heavily and moved quickly to open the door. Klaus may have recovered for the most part, but too much heat would surely be detrimental to his progress. The bunny was lucky the damage was not more severe. No internal bleeding, not broken limbs, the majority of the damage was a fractured jaw along with some mild head trauma, though he was told that his mate's unconsciousness at the time was due more to the overwhelming pain and stress than the head injury. He had just been allowed to eat normally last week, having had only soft foods for 4 months prior. Miles practically forced his mate to eat as often as necessary so that the bunny did not become malnourished, a point the doctor vehemently stressed.

The wolf thought about Chance lying in a pool of his own blood as he stood over the stallion, fists bloody and sore. He felt himself shaking all over again, anger flaring at the ghost of his once best friend. "Be glad you're dead," He whispered softly. This prompted a response from the fur beside him.

"You would not happen to be thinking about what happened again, would you?" There was more than a hint of reprimand in that voice.

"I'm sorry love... I just..." Lips swiftly silenced the canine, fervently pressing against his own. His let his muzzle press eagerly against that of his mate and all thoughts of what had once occurred vanished. Klaus filled his mind and flooded his senses. Everything seemed to attune itself to the bunny. The scent of sweat and musk fueled his growing arousal, as did the taste of his lover's tongue. Miles felt his tail swaying eagerly and it wasn't long before he had the slender fur pinned underneath him. Forepaws explored the rabbit's every curve as he felt his own body being caressed. The canine moaned softly as his now erect wolfhood was met with a soft stroke. Instinct began to press to the forefront of his mind as his hips thrust into the warm forepaw. Klaus always seemed to know exactly what to do to get the best response from his body.

Clothes were thrown haphazardly as they were almost torn from their respective bodies. Miles was surprised at how voracious Klaus seemed as he kissed and licked his way down the canine's chest. Obviously he was not the only one who had missed the more intimate times. True they had not abstained completely, but with his injuries the bunny had been fragile and getting too eager might have led to some unwanted re-injury. Miles would not risk such a thing. He gasped as a tongue ran the length of his member. It had been so long since he felt able to let go and give in to his more instinctual side. Not that it had been difficult, his mate's health was never hard to put first, but he couldn't say it had been fun.

Miles felt his mate take him into his maw, moaning as he pressed the thick cock deep into his throat. The canine felt his body tingle, but his mind screamed in warning as his worry kicked in. He stopped Klaus midway down his shaft. "Hey, you just got cleared love. Let's let you heal a bit more before all that... okay?"

Klaus could only smile at his mate's concern. Miles always put him first. This meant that when Klaus was back to normal he would make sure to give the wolf exactly what he deserved. The bunny drooled from the thought of it, though the thought quickly passed as he felt his own shaft caressed by the warm, wet tongue of his mate. Klaus prided himself on the reaction he got from his oral work, yet he could not imagine it being any better than his lover's own skills. The bun leaned back panting and moaning as the canine worked his shaft eagerly. Before long Klaus felt his mood shift. It was time for the main event.

Pushing the wolf away Klaus rolled over onto all fours. Bottom high in the air he flicked his tail readily as Miles accepted the invitation. The wolf cock pressed against his tight hole, smearing pre around his entrance. It would be a tight fit, but then again it always had been. Miles pressed his cock slowly into his mate, careful not to move too fast as Klaus adapted around his member. Carefully, he pressed deep and began sliding in and out slowly as the bunny's tight hole gripped his shaft. The two furs moaned in unison and Klaus felt his head begin to spin. He pushed back into his mate, causing Miles to increase his thrusting. Before long the bun had wordlessly convinced his mate to relax and allow himself to let some of his instinct take hold. The sounds of their love making filled the room, scents filling both of their heads and pushing them both towards climax. Miles continued to piston in and out of his mate, gripping onto the bun's slender hips as he pumped away eagerly. The two furs were lost in ecstasy as time passed. Finally they were unable to stall it any longer. As one, they both came with loud moans. Miles growled loudly as he felt himself release into his mate. Tired and spent, the two collapsed wordlessly onto the floor. Miles smiled and kissed the bunny's neck tenderly as they lay there locked together.

"I love you..." Klaus whispered softly.

"I love you too sweetheart."

The breath caught in his throat. Knocking on the door meant no turning back. Once upon a time he would have never been able to even fathom what he was about to do. Ruining a relationship was not something he found appealing, yet at the same time he could not even imagine living any longer without him. The knock came as a sudden end to the bitter silence. One moment passed. Then two before the door finally opened. The fur standing before him wore an awed expression. Tears brimmed in his big blue eyes and his muzzle seemed almost unsure of whether to smile or call out. The bunny mouthed his name, voice vacant for a brief time as his mind raced to grasp what was happening. Finally, he was able to hear his own name flow from out of the bunny's sweet lips. "Fellin? Is that really you?"

_ "Yes Klaus, it truly is me. I have come back to you. I was foolish to leave and I vow never again to part from your side."_

_ Klaus' smile remained, but the joy in his eyes faded slightly. "Fellin... I have a mate now... I am glad to see you... but I owe him too much just to leave him like this..."_

_ Fellin nodded, lacing his voice with an understanding tone. "I have heard. Klaus, you must realize that your time with him was never meant to last. We are meant to be. You know, deep down in your heart that what I say is true. Your feelings for me far outweigh any that you could possibly have for anyone else. Please, come back to me?"_

Klaus was hesitant. Fellin knew the bunny was only pausing out of some sense of gratitude to his current mate. Of course, he knew what was to be done if he wanted to live together with his dear love. Fellin moved in and kissed Klaus, eagerly pressing their muzzles together as he moaned softly. This action had more than the desired effect. Klaus pressed himself hard against Fellin. Their similar builds allowing for both to wrap their arms tightly around one another. It was a dream come true. Klaus was his, and now nothing would ever keep them apart.

_ A gasp broke up their intimate reunion. Klaus' mate stood their behind him in the darkness of their domicile. The wolf was a bit mangy, with an almost mean look about him. "What the hell is going on here?" A gravelly voice emanated from the canine's muzzle. A smoker then?_

_ Klaus stepped forward, a determined look upon his face. "I am leaving you. I am grateful for all that you have done for me... but I have finally found Fellin again. I can't be with you any longer."_

_ _ "Fellin..."

The wolf looked stunned, his expression muddled as his face grew oddly cloudy...

_ _ "Fellin..."

Oddly, the entire world seemed to waver....

_ _ "Hey! Anyone home?"

His head spun as his mind focused on the world around him. Shaken from his daydreaming Fellin stared at the mailbox marking the dirt road before him. The numbers matched that of the small paper crinkled in his forepaw. A battle raged in his mind; should he take that initial step propelling him towards finding the one fur who has all but taken up residence in his mind? The choice should not be a difficult one. Fellin had spent the entirety of the past two years preparing for this very day. He had transferred to Southpaw University for this very reason. After hearing about the tragic occurrences earlier this year he ended up pushing his plans ahead of schedule. It was a good thing too, if what Mika had told him was of any indication. Yet here he stood, silent and unmoving as doubt gripped his heart in an iron-tight vice. A paw squeezing his shoulder shook him out of his stupor.

"You goin'? Or are you just going to stand here like a knot on a log?" Garret smiled down at him. The buck's arm lay wrapped around his shoulders comfortingly. It had been a good decision to include him in this plan, they were best friends after all.

"What if he doesn't remember me?"

"You seriously worrying about that? If he could forget you, then he did not deserve your affection in the first place." This made Fellin smile. Garret was as confident as always. Tall with a broad chest and thick arms, he was quite the specimen. The buck was a prime example of what growing up in the South would do. "Corn fed" was the phrase he used to describe himself whenever someone brought up his size, yet his athletic physique had truly come from hours of hard work on a daily basis. Under different circumstance Fellin thought that he could have even fallen for the buck. As it stood now, his own heart belonged to another. Besides, Fellin was not even sure he was Garret's type. He seemed to be more prone to dating furs more like himself. Fellin was short and petite. His fur a light blonde throughout with the tips of his ears turning a deep chestnut. His bright green eye were framed by a feminine face set apart from others by the one thing that came with being a fennec, large ears. In short, he was much too effeminate for the deer to ever show interest. It was for the best. This way they were able to build such a close relationship that Garret actually transferred with him in order to aid in this plan.

"He is more than deserving. He was there for me when no one else could be. He helped me through all of the bullies and the ridicule. Even when my father died, he didn't push me away like some of my other friends."

Garret cocked his head curiously, "He was your first then?" Fellin blushed at the question. Which was all the answer the buck needed. "No wonder you feel so strongly towards him. You should know that he has found himself a mate already. A cute black wolf from what I hear. Miles I think his name was. They say he is quite the specimen, and that he has broken many hearts by giving his own to your old friend."

"And? Klaus may have moved on, but only because I left for college. Now that I've transferred back you can be sure that he will gladly push this wolf aside."

"I do like your confidence. Though I feel that it will not be as simple as that Fell..."

This made Fellin pause momentarily. What if he was right? What if this Miles had captured Klaus's heart while he was away? "What do you think I should do?"

Garret nodded as if affirming some inner thought. "We wait. Let your reuniting happen more naturally. You can maneuver to ensure that you run into each other, then go from there."

It was a good idea. Klaus may not appreciate the fennec just showing up on the doorstep of his home. This Miles may even be the jealous type. "I will wait then. That way I will show him just how far I have come."

Garret sighed softly, "Yeah... You'll certainly impress him."
