#10 of The Wolf's Requiem

I decided to edit part 2 and when I uploaded it, something strange happened, it didn't show up. I'm not sure if anyone else has come across this but I just decided to re-upload it.

Please comment, vote and say helpful tips.

P.S. I've split the original into 2 parts, part 2 and part 2.5, due to the length, since the original was about 1,500 words. And yes I have shortened it and I do plan on editing it in the future :).

Gale stared up at the night sky, looking out at the countless stars that painted the black canvas above like the gold rimmed eyes of the similarly black furred wolf. Gale's paw went to the silk collar that hugged his neck with comfort, his padded fingers moved over the smooth surface of the silk, slowly moving over the green material. Gale let out a heavy, mist like breath out into the cold night air.

He stayed standing on the roof for a moment before moving down a ball, keeping his muzzle buried in his knees, crystal tears run down his cheeks, then down his neck and slowly dried out on his bare chest. Gale allowed the tears to continue down his neck, while he kept his snout in the denim trousers for what felt like hours, until finally a soft hand landed onto his shoulder. Gale looked up with slightly bloodshot eyes, his gaze met with Jake's.

"What's wrong?" Jake asked as Gale got up and pressed his muzzle into the creek of Jake's neck. This got Jake worried, in the four year they were together he'd never seen gale so upset.

"I think the wedding is a bad idea," Gale said.

"What do you mean?"

"I've been losing myself in all the details of the wedding without taking you into account, I should of been giving you the attention I have been putting into this bloody wedding.

"Gale it's fine, I understand how you can get obsessed with it, in all honesty I've been trying not to get obsessed with it myself."

"But a piece of paper with a title shouldn't take so much of our attention, we should be giving each other the effort that we both have put into this damned wedding."

"How about we just have it smaller?" Jake asked, "you know, less people and décor."

"Well that's an idea," Gale said with a peck on his cheek.

"I'll get onto it in the morning," Jake said.

Jake moved forward and press his lips against Gale's, moving his tongue deep into the wolf's muzzle, pressing against multiple parts of his mouth. Gale murred as the human locked his tongue with Gale's long, canine tongue. The kiss grew in passion, bringing both to a strong blush. The kiss slowly broke as their eyes met and locked firmly together. Jake moved his hand to Gale's sides and started to slowly move them up and down the soft contours of his chest and hips.

Gale smiled softly and let out a soft murr, his maw opened slightly as the sound escaped from his mouth.

Jake knew how to get to the big wolf, a tough outside with a soft inside. Jake continued to move his hands up and down the sides of Gale's torso and hips for a moment before continuing onto his back, the muscles under the skin rippled softly as the hands moved through the thick layer of fur.

Gale murred again, "Jake, I'm not in the mood for 'that'."

Jake sighed slightly, letting his hands droop slightly. "Fine, but there are other things than 'that' you know."

Gale smiled softly with his eyes shining as he looked up at the human's face, the roof making stand just taller than him. They walked inside slowly, still in each other's arm, and continued into the living room on the first floor. Gale lit the fire using a extra-long match and turned the TV that stood to the right of the fire, sitting in an alcove due to the fire being like a thick pillar in the middle of the wall. The TV rested on a shelf that brought it just above the wooden strut of the fireplace. Gale layed himself comfortably in front of Jake on the sofa that sat facing both the fire and TV, pressing his furry back against Jake's muscled chest. Gale felt every heartbeat coming from Jake's loving life source. Gale watched the flames slowly dance over the wooden logs, his two golden eyes followed the orange dancers as they waltzed over their wooden stage.

Jake moved a hand onto Gale's soft butt, moving down the rough denim jeans with a finger, He loved being like this, almost total stillness, a loving hug on a sofa beat most feelings they would have alone. Jake's eyes grew heavy as the TV continued, the hand moved down slightly as Jake slowly drifted into a contented sleep. The last thing Jake heard was Gale's happy murring from the strong wolf.

Gale increased the murr as he heard Jake snow quietly, he smiled and closed his eyes for a moment before turning the TV off. Gale loved being like this, feeling whole with Jake behind him. The feeling of Jake's skin against his fur, the smell of Jake's soft musk that entered his nostrils when he sniffed slowly. Gale watched the fire for a moment more before he closed his eyelids softly and let himself deeper and deeper into the land of sleep.
