I am awakened to the sun rising over the tops of the trees, turning the sky orange. I get up and pack my supplies. I walk over scattered brown pine needles enjoying the smell of pine. As I am walking I am listening for the sounds of my enemies while trying not to step on fallen branches that have a habit of making a large snapping sound. After a while I decided I needed to hunt. It took about an hour of searching I finally found two rabbits which will make a decent lunch when cooked. I gathered some firewood and built a small fire. While I let the fire get going I cleaned and gutted the rabbits. I then removed the meat from the bones. I took my pan out of my backpack filled it was some water from the creek nearby and set the pan next to the fire. After a few minutes the water started to boil and added the rabbit meat. I then added some herbs, some salt, and a dash of red wine. While it simmered it spread the rich aroma through the area. When it was done I grabbed my bowl and spoon. It was just getting ready to fill my bowl when a twig snapped to my right. I spun towards the sound quickly grabbing my sword from my back. The wind was blowing towards the sound so I could not tell what it was by scent. After a while the wind changed direction in started to blow towards me allowing me to catch a strangely familiar scent. I was so distracted by the scent that I almost missed the sound of a stomach growling. Being the softy I always have been, I gently called out that if they want something to eat to show them-self. I was surprised when I heard them answer okay. What walked out of the woods made my jaw drop. Stepping out of the woods was a Lycan, like me. Based on scent I could tell it was female. She had black fur with red stripes on her muzzle, a bit of red on her hands and feet. Her eyes are what really got me though, because they were silver.

Her growling stomach caused me to stop staring and seeing she had no weapon I invited her over to the fire and told her to sit down while I grabbed my bowl and spoon ,filled it and gave it to her. Based on how fast she ate I realized she must not have eaten in days. After the bowl was empty I caught her glancing at the stew pot so I quickly refilled the bowl and handed it back to her. After she was finished she said thanks and was getting ready to leave when I asked her if she knew anything about hunting and finding shelter. She went silent for a moment then admitted that she did not. I motioned for her to sit back down. curious about her I asked her where she was from. she looked away for a moment and said she was from a pact to the east but did not elaborate. I then asked how long had she been following me, she said she had not been but she had smelt the food and was curious as to who was cooking. she asked me where I was going and I sighed and told her that I did not know. she opened her mouth to say something but i held up a paw and said have been traveling for quite some time. After some time she asked me where i was from. looking at her for a moment I said the south. when she asked why all i said was that that was personal and that she did not need to know. After saying this I finished off the stew and proceeded to pack up my stuff. hefting my pack I looked back at her sitting there and told her if she wanted to she was welcome to join me but it could be dangerous and she would have to learn how to hunt, cook, and fight among other things. I did not even make it 10 feet before I heard her start following me. Chuckling, I told her she did not have to walk behind me and saw her start walking beside me out of the corner of my eye.
