#7 of Monsters and Fairy Folk

Hax, I call Hax!

Over the course of the next two months, the training had gradually progressed to become easier with time. Pan alternated his training regiment to practice his musical talents two days in a row, then combat training for one day, then go back to another 2 days of music. Likewise, River had chosen to study Water Magic for two days in a row, and spend the third day trying to learn Ice Magic. Just in case pure water attacks didn't work out, she wanted a secondary element to fall back on, and since Ice was just another state of water, it suited her abilities.

The two of them had also grown accustomed to their enhanced sex drives, and had participated in many orgies when they had the time to do so. It greatly reduced the stress of a hard day's training, since even with their enhancements, learning to use their abilities was only moderately easier than had they been human.

The Nymphs had also undergone a specially designed training that instructed them in the use of their new sexual abilities. They were told that the pheremones of a Nymph had a powerful enchantment that would enthrall those around them who did not have the willpower to resist. They were trained not only in how to wield that influence, but also to not become vulnerable to it themselves. An untrained Nymph could become helplessly drunk off their own sexual aroma if she didn't receive proper education, and River noticed that those who slacked off in their training were actually degenerating into stupid bimbos who were more concerned with sex than the upcoming war. She had to make sure not to end up like one of them, or she was sure the monsters would find her an easy target.

Finally though, the day had come, two months had passed since they began their training and the war was about to commence. True to Valmese' words, the Druids had left some time before, reciting a script about how they had matters to attend to in distant lands and could not remain to attend the Sacred Grove. However, they had faith the creatures were properly trained enough to defend themselves and felt the holy site was in good hands.

River realized that despite all her training, she was still nervous about the battle that was to come. This wasn't a LARP, this was a real war, and she could actually be killed if she was not careful. The whole time she was training, she hadn't put much thought into it. Her mind was distracted by the training and the sex, and the excitement of being part of the game. Now the danger was coming, and the truth of what she had signed up for was finally dawning on her.

"So exactly how does this work?" asked a Unicorn stallion by the name of Aldrian, he was one of the grove's Clerics. "I mean do we just go out and start killing any monsters we see, or-" he was cut off when a thunderous sound was heard from the distance, prompting them all to look into the sky.

The sky which had been clear blue during their entire training, now had storm clouds amassing overhead. The speed at which they formed was not natural, for the sky was obscured in darkness within seconds, followed by crashing thunder and strong winds.

"Monsters! Monsters are coming!" shouted a terrified voice as a figure came bounding through the bushes. River immediately recognized it as Heather, a wood Nymph Minstrel who decided to spent the last couple of weeks exploring the forest for possible vantage points.

Within seconds of her arrival, she went rigid and toppled over, startling witnesses to see a throwing knife embedded directly into the back of her head! The grove erupted into chaos as the inhabitants scrambled to get their equipment ready. Most of them had just come back from bathing or were finishing a meal after a hard morning of training. They were not prepared for an attack this soon, and so when the monsters came charging out of the bushes, it was anarchy.

"Oh shit!" River exclaimed, having just enough time to grab her staff as an Goblin came charging at her. He ripped the dagger out of Heather's skull, and judging by how he had an identical one in his other hand, she guessed he was the one who threw it. A Goblin Assassin by the looks of things, and he was a fast little monster, too!

Focusing her magic, River compressed the water in the environment into a pressurized sphere and shoved it forward, slamming into the Goblin's face and knocking him off his feet. Moments later, Pan rushed up and plunged his own dagger into the Goblin's chest, making it flail and then go still.

"How did they find us? I thought this place was hidden from outsiders!" Pan demanded as he took a position next to River, holding his flute in one hand and the dagger in the other. "Wait a minute, isn't the Sacred Grove right near the border?" he asked.

"So we're the front line troops?" River asked, sending more balls of water at other enemies she could target, "We're some of the most peaceful races in the Fairy Queen's army, why would we be the first to fall?" she asked.

"To make the monsters seem more evil, I guess?" Pan suggested, "If they succeed in destroying this paradise, it would give the Fairy Folk a reason to go to war, avenging our deaths!" he narrow dodged as another Goblin came swinging with a sword and stabbed the creature in the shoulder as it rushed past.

"I think I'll avenge my own death, just fine!" River boasted as she cast her staff to the ground and summoned two orbs of water at the same time, one in each hand, she then thrust them forward as they impacted a rampaging Orc in the face and chest, knocking him off balance and allowing one of the Ents to pound him into a broken heap with one massive fist.

"We're not going to win this fight, River!" Pan exclaimed, "They caught us with our pants down, we're not geared up for this fight. We have to retreat and get help!" he said. River looked around and could tell he was right, they were losing more people than they were saving. The Ent from before was even killed when he was caught in the face by an exploding fireball and erupted into flames like he was made of kindling, which he was.

Deciding to cut their losses, the two of them turned and began fleeing into the forest, along with some like minded fighters who realized the battle was a lost cause. Those who chose to stay, however, were quickly being subdued.

As River and Pan made their escape, another figure emerged from the bushes, his enormous frame pounding the ground with each step. It was an Orc Barbarian, the biggest one who had attacked so far.

"Spare as many Nymphs as you can, boys! I want to celebrate our first conquest!" he bellowed, his voice deep and commanding.

The Orc stood at a height of 8 feet tall, and his muscle mass was probably on par with the incredible hulk, weighing between 400 to 500 lbs. His skin was dark green, and his tusks were 2 inches long. His hair was spiky and jutted out in various angles. His weapon of choice was an enormous battle axe, the blades alone being the size of a man's torso. He carried the gargantuan weapon in one hand like it was weightless. His clothing was heavier than was expected of his kind. Instead of a tattered loin cloth, he wore a full singlet that looked to have been crafted out of animal hide, likely the belt of a bear. It was tied at the waist by a thick leather belt with pouches on it that were used to carry an assortment of equipment and items.

"I am Grulgan, future Warlord to the Monster King's army! And you are the first of my slaves!" the Orc roared, holding his weapon aloft as the rest of the monsters cheered in victory. He heard foot steps beside him and turned to see a Wood Nymph standing beside him completely naked and with a satisfied look in her eye as she leaned against the heavy Orc.

"You did well showing us the way to your grove, the Monster King will be pleased to hear we've conquered one of the three primary settlements so quickly." Grulgan said to her as he caressed her ass, making her moan and arch herself into his palm.

"Mmm, you monsters are so much bigger than these Satyrs." she responded in a voice that dripped with lust before rubbing at his crotch.

This was one of the Nymphs who had failed her training and become a sex addict. She was willing to sell out her friends just for a bigger cock, and was the one responsible for giving them directions through the forest.

"I shall see that your actions are well rewarded." Grulgan said, "You will be the first whore to join my harem." he said, fetching a device out of one of the pouches in the front of his belt. It was an iron collar with a length of thick chain attached to it. He fastened the collar around her neck and took hold of the chain.

"Aren't I supposed to become a Dark Fae?" the Nymph asked, running her fingers over the collar as he tugged a little on the chain to pull her closer against his body.

"Dark Fae are traitors, yes, but you've run out of usefulness to us." Grulgan said, "You can't fight, and you can't lead us anywhere else. You're just a fuck toy now." he explained, "But I'll see to it you're put to good use." he added.

As the massive Orc tugged her leash again, it seemed that realization of what exactly she had done was beginning to dawn on her lust addled mind, and before she was lead away into the forest, Grulgan stopped to address his forces.

"Kill any who resist, shackle the rest!" he shouted, "Bring the captives back to camp!" and with that, he left the scene, half dragging his new whore behind him.

'I thought there were supposed to be villages and towns in between the major cities.' River thought to herself, 'They came straight for one of the three starting points. How could they possibly know where we were?'

"That was a disaster!" Pan exclaimed, keeping his blade drawn in case anyone gave chase to them, "They had to have somebody lead them there. Nobody could have found the Sacred Grove without knowing the way!" he and River continued running, and although he had two months of exercise to get him in shape, River's training had been mental in origin. She did not have the stamina to run long distances, and soon was growing exhausted.

"Pan, wait up!" River said, after the sounds of battle faded away into the distance. The Satyr reduced his pace and slid to a halt as River rested her hands on her knees to catch her breath. It wasn't until now that they both realized she was completely nude. River hadn't had enough time to get dressed, like most of the Grove's residents.

It didn't matter, she was long since past the point of feeling ashamed of public nudity, and as her breathing evened out, she rose back to full height again, using her staff to steady herself. They didn't know where the others had gone, everybody just scattered in an attempt to flee the carnage. As they looked overhead, they saw that the storm clouds were turning even darker than before, and now came to resemble those who clouded the sky of the monster's territory.

"No doubt about it, the Sacred Grove has been conquered." Pan commented darkly, "We need to get to the nearest Fairy settlement and warn them before anymore surprise attacks are conducted." he suggested.

"We've never left the Grove before." River said, "We don't know where any settlements are! They weren't supposed to reach us. At least not this early on." she argued.

It was true, according to the game's pacing, the Monsters should have spent the first several weeks targeting outlying villages and towns and gradually piecing together the location of the Sacred Grove. It was supposed to be the a final holding point for the Ents, Unicorns, Nymphs, and Satyrs before they moved closer into Fairy lands. Now the major headquarters had been toppled, and any settlements caught in between the two would have nowhere to run. The Monsters had just claimed a massive strategic advantage on the very first day!

"We can worry about the how and why later, but right now we need to escape before they kill us... or enslave us." Pan responded before pointing in the direction they had been fleeing, "If we keep moving in this direction we should emerge out of the forest at some point. Then we just have to look for a road." he suggested. River nodded and the pair of them resumed their movement.

In the lands between the Sacred Grove and the Monster Kingdom border, the settlements were falling rapidly. Being so close to the grove, most of the settlements were merely villages, not being populated enough to qualify as a town.

The inhabitants here were Fairy Folk who had survived the previous wars, opting to become citizens instead of return to their human life. They had been expecting the new generation of players to come and supply their villages with troops for protection, but thanks to one dumb slut's greed, they were left defenseless.

The Monster King's forces swept over them like a tide, setting fires to their homes and crops, slaying any who showed violent resistance, and binding those who were too scared or weak to fight back.

With the Wood Nymph to guide him, Grulgan took a strike force and marched straight through the forest, while the rest of the army focused on the villages. Even now there were refugees who attempted to flee towards the Grove, only to be ambushed by Grulgan's camp.

It was nothing short of a total victory for the Monster King, and an unfathomable catastrophe for the Fairy Queen.

"Well that was certainly not what I expected, but it seems the Monster King is off to a tremendous start." Lord Valmese said from his broadcasting room as the cameras showed the many villages being ransacked, "I hope the viewers at home weren't placing any wagers on the Fairy Queen taking first blood."

The cameras now switched to show a map of the island, and displayed the image of a series of arrows expanding out from the Monster King's borders and into the Fairy Queen's territory. A high pitch beeping was heard before the border lands changed color from Blue to represent the Fairies into Red to represent the Monsters.

"With this victory, the Monster King has made the first push into enemy lands, and the Fairy Queen has lost a third of her territory. With luck, the survivors will be able to warn her and she can begin on reclaiming her lands." Valmese said as the cameras once more showed the carnage of the war.

By now, the invasion was starting to quiet down, the Monsters had swiftly taking control of the area, and resistance had been thoroughly stamped out. Any Fairies who were still alive at this point were bound and gagged, their weapons and armor stripped from them as they were forced into cages to await their punishment. The monsters were looting everything that was useful to them, and tossing the rest into a pile to be burned.

The majority of the Monsters present was formed out of Orcs, Goblins, and Ogres. So they were most likely the closest to the border out of the rest of the Monster King's forces. The other races were probably further back just like the rest of the Fairies, awaiting for their King to give them the orders to resupply the front line troops. They were certainly in for a surprise when the King received the good news.

"Well the fighting looks to be over for now, so we're going to cut to a commercial. But when we come back, we'll see how the Monsters intend to use their new slaves!" Valmese said, as the cameras faded out and began to show various sponsorship commercials for Monsters and Fairy Folk.

"This is going to be good..." Valmese sneered, tapping his fingers together.

To be Continued.
