[Planet; Sigma 9, year 3,679, Tuesday May 25th, 2:45 PM. Supreme Daemonic Cathedral of Lord Khaos. Western wing, Grand Sacrificial Circle]

Grandmaster Warlock Lord Mal'aga Darkrune stood on the outskirts of the large sacrificial ceremony; Darkspawn shadow priests from the House of Azaeal circled around the floor painting as well, channeling their dark energy into the center of the eight pointed star that covered the floor. Human and Rebel captives were forced into a single file as one by one they stepped onto the painting only to be consumed by a flash of purple light that illuminated the room intensely.

Mal'aga smiled and laughed quietly as one human tried to one from his inventible death, he broke rank from the file and run to the open barred gates to the outside world. A shadow priest waved his gnarled, old hand and muttered a word at the escapee. The human dropped to his knees and began screaming horribly as he held his head with both hands if he was having a painful headache, the yelling stopped when his head exploded like a blood filled balloon.

Two shield soldiers that guarded the door looked at each other and shook their heads, they wore the same type of body armor the rifle grunts of House of Laybrinth wore, expect it was painted red and black, on their wrists were two very large shields the shape of kites and size of a car door. The only noticeable weapon they carried was a very large black rifle that had wires connecting the gun to the energy packs on their backs, the gun looked like it was large enough to have come from a tank.

They knelt down to the cage in-between them as the thing inside bounced around relentlessly; after the locks and chains came undone a Genesis Creature exploded out of the cage and ran to the headless body in delight as if it found its new best friend.

The undead had one very large eyeball that covered its entire face and for a pupil it had a slit like a cat's eye, its back was curved like an animal so it could run on its hands and feet, the claws and feet were much larger than normal and the rest of its body was a blackened skeleton with pieces of flesh and muscle still hanging off.

The undead Ghiest grabbed the body by the shoulders and started to quickly drag the body to the corner of the room as purple flashes lit up the room at equal intervals causing it to look like the undead was teleporting.

At the corner of the room its eye opened and a small tentacle came out from the center, the skinny red limb impaled the human in the spine ripping his back in the process, in a few seconds the body jerked around as if it was alive again.

The snapping of bone and tearing muscle dominated the sound of the flashing room, his arms migrated up to the top of his shoulders, his legs became twisted and bent to fulfill the new body's needs, a large piece of bone the shape of a scythe jetted out of the man's hands. In the short time the headless body rose as a Genesis creature, the Ghiest retracted its tentacle back into its gaping eye and ran at insane speeds back to its cage.

The newly formed undead shambled around the room as it started to get use to its new body, Mal'aga folded his arms as he connected his imposing staff onto his back via magnets when he heard the sound of wet clay banging against the metal floors, the noise began louder and louder until the figure stood beside Mal'aga.

Coughing up a large ball of the white liquid she was made up of, Baphomet spat the disgusting ooze from her mouth onto the ground only to rejoin her body moments later.

"Playing...executioner again...are we?" rasped the Avatar.

Mal'aga turned around to meet the Avatar of Lust; the white clay like daemon wore several yellow and red necklaces around her neck, waist, ankles and wrists. Her armor matched the same color of the jewelry; the smooth metal plates defended her shoulders, and the three fat fingers on her hands.

Mal'aga sneered. "Play? I don't Play, Baphomet. What I'm doing is spear heading the assault in the resurrection of Lord Khaos back into the physical world, after that scum sucking Elder banished him and the righteous Void Creatures into the Shattered Realm."

Baphomet laughed as the room again was brightened by the recent sacrifice. "Of course...you don't"

Mal'aga ignored the response." Now, why do you bother me today?"

"House of...Laybrinth has...fallen...I..su-" Baphomet coughed up anther ball of the white material. "I suggest we have House of Chrun'ell take care...of the humans and their ...rebel allies."

Mal'aga unfolded his arms. "Very well, alert Carpender his new orders."

[Planet; Earth, year 3,679, Tuesday May 25th, 2:50 PM. VALOR News Network Head Quarters. Studio, on stage]

The reporter's video drone hovered just behind the yellow line of the interview that was about to take place, two chairs were up on the stage sitting on the green rug with the emblem of the UNSF VALOR Military shown by the television built in the wall behind them.

A red light appeared on all the hover camera drones, to signal they were recording as the host sat down on his chair.

"It is 2:50 PM Eastern standard time and the start of VNN, VALOR News Network." Smiled Jacob Copper

The logo of VALOR disappeared and showed several UNSF VALOR Marines patrolling along the conquered planet of Daemoss. "Yesterday, VALOR forces captured the planet of Daemoss believed to be the staging grounds of Khaos military in the system."

The video silently continued showing marines and rebels tearing down statues, buildings and other constructs to be melted down and used for the VALOR war effort.

"VALOR forces now began setting up a forward base on the planet to launch an offensive into the heart of the Khaos Empire, and here to talk about that, is the man himself..."

The host waited for a few seconds as Arjun Fiaz joined him on the stage; he took a seat beside Jacob. "The Justicar!"

The silver plated warrior waved to the audience as they gave him a standing ovation. "Thank you, Jacob, it's a pleasure to be here."

The host leaned in and his voice became more serious. "Now, Justicar, every one at home wants to know, are we winning the war against Khaos"

Arjun looked up in the ceiling and coughed before looking back. "It's too soon to tell, yes we have struck a mortal blow at Khaos forces with our victory at Daemoss, but we are meeting strong resistance both on ground, air and space causing a stalemate."

Jacob nodded and smiled. "People also want to know who you are, Justicar, you outlive anyone in terms of age, some rumors suggest you are some kind of advance android, others think your Jesus himself come to defeat Khaos, care to shed some light?"

Arjun looked at High General Constantine who stood near the camera drones, he had orders not to reveal that the Justicar was made up of different people and when they got old they were secretly replaced just like what happened with Constantine being the Justicar before Arjun.

So Arjun told Jacob and the viewers his own childhood. "Well, Jacob, just like almost everyone I was touched by the war, my father died during first contact with Khaos forces."

The Justicar took anther breath hating to open up old wounds. "My mother became deeply depressed and later took her own life by hanging her self, I was then later sent to a foster home."

Arjun looked to his feet before looking back at the camera drones that hovered on the spot. "I was neglected by my foster parents, I was also abused, I never made friends in school and when I became eighteen I immediately dropped school altogether and joined the VALOR Military, and this is who I am now. The Justicar"

Jacob Copper nodded politely before he spoke again but Arjun interrupted. "I never blamed myself or others for my unfortunate events, I blamed Khaos. Being depressed wouldn't have gotten to were I am today, I will see to the end where the Forces of Khaos admit defeat and I won't be sympathetic or merciful."

[Planet; Chru'ach, year 3,679, Tuesday May 25th, 3:02 PM. Necromantic Labs, Training bay. K-25]

Apothecary Lord Carpender floated inside the view bay that over looked the underground training arena; he finished his conversation with Queen Baphomet and shut off the communication beacon on his desk.

Liken called for Carpender from the room below. "Carpender, you ok?"

The Ra'ktan nodded and pressed a button on his desk to communicate with the Valgary. "I'm fine, now lets go back to develop your combat technique, shall we?"

Liken gave Carpender the thumbs up to signal she was ready, the dirt floor Liken was on was covered with bones of various ages and races, the coliseum like arena had several large gates that fed Liken's combatants into the room.

The black gate behind Liken opened up to vomit out several rushing lashers coming from the holding cells behind it. Swinging their bladed hands wildly like madmen, they rushed towards the Valgary's position given specific orders to fight to the death.

Liken caught the closest lasher by the elbows, she held her ground as the undead tried to break free from her grip as the other genesis creatures circled around the two looking for an opportunity to strike.

The lasher's head that was located on its chest sunk its deformed teeth into Liken's ribs. Yelling in pain the Valgary tried to separate the lasher from her body but her arms became weak causing the undead to overpower Liken and wrapped its scythe arms around her back to create a painful hug as it ate away at her skin.

She cried out to Carpender to call off the undead but he made no effort to respond, instead he watched the lasher tear into her muscle and bone ruthlessly.

"Help me! Make it stop, please Carpender!" yelled Liken as she neared death from the Lasher

Carpender laughed. "In battle, you will have no sympathy or receive any, oh don't worry, I will put you back together and we can continue your training, until then Liken, die well"

Liken started to cry and let the Lasher fully overwhelm her, the right blade came down on her head and everything went black.

[Drop-ship Vulture, year 3,679, Tuesday May 26th, 1:15 AM. City of Kazak, contested war zone]

Zhakaev Darkrune coughed inside of his helmet; one of the rebel's beside him offered him a human made candy to relive his throat, he denied and shook his head.

"My entire life, a lie..." whispered the half-bred to himself. "The Khaos faith has gotten my best friend Na'rakk killed along with Liken, and now I am helping the very people who I swore to kill."

The human warrior in front of Zhakaev spoke in his genderless robotic tone from the speakers in his helmet. "Hey, buddy. You ok? Talking to yourself again."

Zhakaev dismissed the human with a wave of his hand.

"Sorry for trying to be helpful..."

The eagle shaped drop ship hovered just above the ground; laser fire deflected off the hull of the VALOR aircraft. "LZ is hot, I repeat, LZ is hot!" yelled the pilot to the squad behind him.

Khaos rifle grunts continued unloading their ammunition from the various windows they fired from in the ruined city. The large single machinegun under the drop ship's nose spooled and let out a hail of bullet fire onto the Darkspawns, one by one the aliens fell over dead from the high powered rounds that plagued the building they fired from.

Zhakaev leaped down from the drop ship, human marines joined him moments later forming a circle as quickly as possible to avoid any ambushes. The eagle aircraft took off and flew back to the large VALOR carrier that darkened the city with its shadow, Zhakaev tapped the closet marine on the shoulder and the squad proceeded to their objective.

[Planet; Chru'ach, year 3,679, Tuesday May 26th, 1:45 AM. Necromantic Labs, Training bay. K-25]

Liken felt the scar that ran across her midsection caused by the lasher that attacked her, she felt relived that Carpender was an amazing surgeon and doctor to the point were no wound was to great for his expertise. She stood in the same arena as before with Carpender in his overlook reaching for the button to release anther wave.

"Now, Liken, If you ever want to avenge Zhakaev and your race against the Justicar, you will succeed in this trial, if you fail this, you will stay dead." He scolded.

Liken nodded in agreement as the same gate opened up, a single hunched over undead that ran on its hands and feet scurried into the arena. The Valgary couldn't look at anything but the massive eyeball that covered its head, the skeletal horror let out a high pitched screech and became invisible.

"What is it!?" questioned Liken

Carpender laughed. "A Ghiest, one of my favorite experiments, you will find its much more competent than any mere lasher."

The Valgary gulped, a lasher was hard enough, and how was she supposed to defeat and elite Ghiest?

In thin air that startled Liken the Ghiest uncloaked itself before leaping onto Liken' body, its large skeletal claws raked her head drawing blood, she struggled to get the large creature off her.

The Ghiest sunk its claws into her back tearing out patches of flesh and muscle near her spine, Liken's tail became prone like a scorpion tail ready to attack, it struck the Ghiest in the large eyeball only to bounce off the gooey organ, it blinked and began what seemed to be laughing.

Using most of her strength Liken grabbed its left arm with both hands and threw the twisted skeletal horror from her body taking off large chunks of scales in the process.

The Ghiest landed on its hands and feet, it blinked its eyeball several times as it continued to run back to the Valgary for anther attack. It leaped into the air to latch back onto Liken only to be caught by the wrists, knowing Valgary's have a very strong jaw to chew the roots off underground trees back on her home world, she took a bite of the Ghiest's eye.

Howling in pain as green gelatinous liquid spewed from its eye, the Ghiest fell to the ground and walked around like an injured dog. Liken raised her right hoof just above the undead's spine she brought it down severing it in half, the Ghiest jerked around and out of anger Liken stomped on the four limped monster again and again till it was a flattened corpse on the arena floor.

Breathing heavily Liken looked up at Carpender who smiled under his bandages. "Very good Liken, now we are making progress..."
