Just a little something.

(Well, hello to all who may be reading this. This is going to be a short story [And by short I mean short], my first as well. So I guess I'll dive in. Get ready for failure!)

Pokemon battle cries fill the air as I made my way through this ruined city I call home. A fight is going on every street it seems... Two groups of pokemon are fighting in a normally peaceful city. I wonder what's going on... Jumping trough a window of a beat up apartment building and climbing up several flights of stairs, I am able to get a better view of this war. All of the pokemon inhabiting this city are fighting against others I don't recognize. Is a group of pokemon invading our city?

Suddenly, the growl of an Arcanine right behind me pulls my attention away from the streets.

"You think you can escape battle by climbing up here? Hah! I will kill all of you and take this city for myself."

Before I can respond, this insane Arcanine lunges at me. I barely dodge his attempted attack, scared out of my mind. I don't know how to fight, I've never needed to! I start running, only to remember that I'm on the top of a building and that I can't. The Arcanine, newly enraged, gets back up and faces me. With my back to the edge of the roof, I realize that if he lunges at me again and I jump out of the way, he'll fall. But he doesn't. Flames erupt from the powerful Arcanine's mouth, and I have no defense against this attack. The wall of fire forces me to jump off the seven story building and down to the streets below.

Panic grips me as my mind catches up with my body, and I realize what I've done. This fall is going to kill me! I spin out of control. I manage to land on my feet, but I hear a crack. Pain explodes from all four of my legs and I cry out in anguish. I've never felt this kind of torture before! The pain comes in waves, in sync with every heartbeat. It escalates until I can't take any more... I fight to remain concious, holding on to a ledge of reality. The last thing I see is a pokemon running to me, before I let go and wash away in a wave of unconsciousness.

(Hmm... Maybe I will continue it. I'll probably forget and leave this alone forever XD)
