Fear
The mind plays horrible tricks on us.
"Oh man, it's already going to be three in the morning." Victor told himself as he rubbed his eyes "I should go to bed soon." He closed his eyes as he yawned but when he opened them he swore that he saw something out of the corner of his eye "Huh?"
Somewhat frightened, he passed it off as being a side effect of his weariness "...O-Oh." When the wolf stood up he was startled by the small creaking noise his seat made "Am I honestly getting scared right now?" He let out a quiet laugh as he turned off the light in his home's living room and grabbed the laptop off his desk "Wonder what I'm going to do tomorrow."
There it was again. He thought he saw something in his window but he was too nervous to turn to look outside "It...It was nothing." Victor gulped as he made his way to the restroom near him to use it "I'm just being paranoid."
After quickly relieving himself, he walked back out into the hallway and continued to walk down the hall towards his bedroom "...Did I even make my bed today?" With every step he took, the wolf felt as if somebody or something was slowly creeping up behind him up until the moment when his ears perked up and he spun around, scared, to see nobody there "You're going insane Victor..." Victor whispered to himself while he entered his room and shut the door behind him
"Where is it?" Victor stumbled around the dark room looking for the ON switch on his lamp "Hnng...There it is." The wolf pressed the button and when he looked up he saw a person standing there "HOLY MOTHER FU- Oh." It took Victor a moment to realize that he was looking in a mirror
"That's enough of that for now." Tired, Victor tossed off his shirt then threw himself on his bed and shut his eyes "Ugh...I should have gone to bed earlier..." As he drifted off into his slumber he couldn't help but feel like he was being watched
