January 16, 2028, "Dear Diary, I cried today. I know Mommy tells me not to cry, and to be a strong butterfly, but I can't help it. Mommy is still asleep, I keep shaking her and saying, "Mommy wake up!" I even say please but she doesn't wake up. Daddy hasn't come back yet. There are only three Pop-Tarts left. I went to go look for Daddy but Outside burns me like fire. I love you Daddy."
January 20, 2028, "Dear Diary, An evil man came by today. I hid at first, but he grabbed me by my shoe and pulled me out of the covers. His face was funny and he was wearing an air cleaner with tubes that looked like those musical piano sandwich noodle things. He told me that everything would be okay and gave me some fruit snacks. He said if I play a game with him, he would give me lots of food and water! So I said yes. Then he hugged me and gave me a kiss on my lips. Yuck! I asked him how to play and then he pushed me onto the bed and took out his "thing."
The next paragraph was crossed out seemingly vigorously
"and I can't stop bleeding when I need to "go". It hurts. Mommy would know what to do.

The man told me that Mommy isn't going to wake up, and that my Dad wasn't coming back from the store. He was walking out and I saw a heart necklace on his backpack. I told him that my Dad has one just like it. The man only patted my head and smiled at me. Then he left."
January 23, 2028, "Dear Diary, I made a new friend today. He is a cat. His eye is weird and he is missing most of his fur. I named him Patches. He loves me. He likes nibbling on my feet and he is even helping Mom sleep by kissing her and eating all those nasty bugs that like to crawl on her.
