"What do you want?" I asked my oppressor, who was threatening me in the hall.He smirked, his hand flaring to life, "I want that spell.""You ain't getting it." I retorted. He grinned, forcing the fire brighter, "I think it's obvious I am.""Not if I say otherwise. After all, I made it up, and there's no spell book that contains it." I spat. The bully growled, "Gimme the spell, Wet Pants.""As if." I growled back. Why aren't my spells working? The pyromancer raised his hand to strike me with his burning appendage. His hand was seized at the last second, being encased in a glove of artifice. The glove nullified his fire, rendering him useless. A knife then shifted to his throat, equally glowing with the light of a construct."I think you should walk away." warned the knife-wielding artifact mage."Screw you." spat the bully. I gathered enough courage to summon my white tiger companion, Rust. I found the name fitting because he has green and red stripes that remind me of rusted metals. The artifact wielding interrupter locked a magic-nullifying glove on the other hand of my oppressor, letting him go to face my newly summoned beast."Fine, you win." the bully ran off, shouting behind him, "Don't expect your twin to always be there for you!"My tiger growled, not knowing the threat was gone. I rubbed its head. "At ease, bud. He's gone.""Fine." resigned the tiger. I turned to my brother."Thanks, I don't think I could've taken on Blaze myself." I greeted."No problem," he dismissed, "I figured out about a week ago that a mage can't cast spells when backed into a corner. Literally or figuratively.""And what do you expect in return?" I queried good naturedly."Only for you to return the favor." replied he, "Happy birthday, by the way.""To you as well." I fired back immediately. I had not seen Fillin at all the night before, or this morning for that matter, so neither of us got to wish the other a happy birthday at all."Eight years old, I fell like I'm almost an adult!" Fillin exaggerated.I giggled, "What next? Paying bills?" I joked. We joked and laughed all the way

to our Resistance and Protection Spells class. The class was uneventful. No one wished us a happy birthday, thanks to our condition making us extremely unpopular and neglected. We learned spells that protected well against electrical spells, and, as always, Fillin and I were the best at it. It's not bragging if it's stating a fact, right?Fillin left first, having to excuse himself for a new diaper. When I got out of class, I saw Blaze, returning his ridicule to Fillin, who wasn't wearing any pants and his diaper had not been changed yet. Blaze's gang was laughing the whole time through, quite amused with whatever Blaze was mocking Fillin with.I didn't think to try the verbal approach, knowing that Blaze would quickly turn it physical and in his favor. I felt nothing but a feral hatred coming from him. His lupine viciousness showing on his skin covered face.I summoned my favorite tiger friend, Rust, and sent him after Blaze. It was quite amusing watching Blaze suddenly end up without a shirt or pants, on the floor...wearing a diaper? So wait..."You've got to be kidding." I protested, "Surely you are." Blaze wears diapers? Are you serious?! And he has the audacity to ridicule us? I hope he has a run in with Karma...the werewolf. It's said that the city werewolf victims are her victims. No one's ever seen her, but she's the only one who kills within city limits, and the victims are always criminals, so we've come to know her as Karma."Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap." Blaze repeated, running away in tears, leaving a trail of smashed ego and ruined reputation.I turned towards the oppressor's gang, summoning Fleece, my lion. His fur was a brilliant golden, with hints of green, and his fur was brilliant fleece. For some reason, fleece (the material) is immune to magic and, if enchanted, makes the wearer near indestructible. I sent him to round up the gang of bullies, having him multiply several times to ensure no one had a chance to get away."Control, see?" I remarked. I walked up to the ring of Fleeces, glaring at every one of the captives, "So how many of you were mocking my brother and me for no reason other than, well, you could?"The lions immediately began to growl, "Oh, and answer truthfully. These guys hate liars." I added...
