We were still a little ways from Katina. I wasn't making any use of my time by cutting a circle in the rug I was pacing at. I quickly figured that I needed some rest and walked out of the bridge. I made a few quick turns until I got to my room. As I got to the door I stopped. I heard some noise coming out from the room and listened closely to see what it was. It took me a little bit to realize that it was some faint moaning. I carefully and quietly opened my door and peaked inside. Right there on my own bed was Fara and Robert. Certainly making a scene of themselves as they were naked making out on the bed. I saw my keys on the nearby counter and quietly walked in to make a grab for it. Once I grabbed them I continued looking on at the lovely scene going on right there.

'I guess they forgot which room was mine,' I thought to myself, 'I don't think I should be watching them.' However, under curiosity, I continued to watch their fixation. Robert continued thrusting his member right into Fara's wet pussy. After about another ten minutes of this Robert let out a moan of delight as he ejaculated into her. I decided then that it was best to leave before they spot me. I did, and quietly shut the door behind me and figured I'll just keep this to myself. I continued back to the bridge where Krystal, Jovey, and Fox were waiting for me.

"Ready Ryan?" Fox asked me. I only nodded and we hurried off toward the bridge. As we did Krystal trailed off a little so she could speak to me.

"Hey Ryan," she said, "did you enjoy Robert's little moment?" I wasn't phased at all by and just chuckled.

"I would if they weren't doing it in my room," I replied.

"That's too bad," Krystal teased, "I was the one who suggested your room." That one did catch me a little off guard. Krystal you little devil, you could be a little more considerate. Wait, did she just read that? I saw give another chuckle as we arrived at the hangar bay and we rushed to our ships at quick speed. Jovey got into my back seat as we jumped in and we took off. Fox had taken the lead to lead us to Katina.

Falco was in his room completely bored. All he could do was flipping around his reflector like a hacky sack to pass the time. He was a little mad he couldn't go on the mission with Ryan.

'A little mad?' he thought, 'I'm just as useful as he is. When they get back, Ryan is spending some time with me, end of story.' He walked outside the door and nearly fell over himself with what he saw.

"Nordic," he said, "what the fuck are you doing here?" He looked and gave a nice wave at Falco.

"I was checking up on the president," he said, "he told me to check up on Ryan. Have you seen him?"

"He just took off with Fox to Katina," he said, "you can wait until he gets back."

"Or we can just go find him at Katina," Nordic suggested and Falco smirked.

"Right," he said and they hurried off to the hangar bay.

"So how come I heard noises from Ryan's room?" Nordic asked.

"Fara and Robert are doing it in his room," he said.

"How do you know this?" Nordic asked again.

"Everyone knows," Falco replied, "we all said we wouldn't say a word about it to either of them." Nordic laughed at this as they arrived to the hangar bay and they quickly boarded Falco's ship and took off. They took off at breakneck speed right towards Katina.

We arrived at Katina in a few short minutes and took a good look around as we disembarked from the ships. The area was kind of desolate the grass was brown dead with some small critters looking around. Also some of the clouds of the sky were tinting red, must be sunset or something.

"Alright Jovey," Fox said, "where are we heading?" Jovey paused for a moment before he pointed at a direction.

"Right over there," he stated and I looked. Right over a distance was a temple. It looked like a pyramid for just a second, with the most noticeable difference being the tip top was not there. Must be from ancient times here, I looked on for a bit as the rest started taking off for it.

"Hey wait up," I shouted and ran for them. It didn't take us that long to arrive at the temple. It was actually quite large and it was hypnotizing for a second. Jovey and Krystal took a step inside and as I made to Fox gave out a small chuckle.

"What?" I asked and he smiled at me.

"Bill and the rest of my team fought Andross's army here," he said.

"Really?" I said. He nodded and walked inside. I remembered in one of Peppy's lectures he spoke about the battle here during the Lylat Wars. I thought about it as I followed the others in quickly.

'So Andross was here,' I thought, 'just like the base at Venom. What could this mean? Would the next place be a place Andross was at also?' The others stopped in front of me and I looked on ahead of them. The temple has split off in about four different direction going who knows where. It was like a gigantic maze, and we were the lab rats looking for the cheese.

"Here we'll split up," Jovey said, "it'll be faster this way. I know this person is in here so we better look quickly." I nodded and took off in the direction to the far right. I didn't know what I was getting myself into.

Jovey continued down the opposite direction that Ryan was and after a few minutes he stopped in his trail.

'There's two others here,' he thought to himself, 'I sense them to be dangerous.' After that thought he hurried on to see where the source of the hostile aura was.

I continued to look on while running for this person, after about ten minutes of no luck I slowed down to a walk. I had no idea where to find this person, and I wondered where to look for next. I wasn't prepared for what was to happen next.

From the second floor, up high where he can't be seen, a silver wolf prepares to take another life to add to his list. He silently waits for his prey to show up, as he carefully aims his sniper rifle at the target area. He wondered how much longer it would take him to reach the area. Thinking about this him as he looked at the picture again. The picture was resembling a teenage human boy concentrating over a chess board in some foreign building. Then much to his delight, his target approaches and even more to his delight to find that he's alone. He would soon collect his pay from the mysterious group who hired him. He carefully aimed his rifle through the crosshairs right at the human's head. The young man was looking around and what he spotted on his jacket caught him off guard. He spotted the Star Fox logo.

'This is the target?' he thought to himself, 'Killing Star Fox members wasn't in the deal.' He then quickly felt cold steel aimed right at the back of his neck. He turned around to see that a white wolf was holding out a blue blade right at him.

"I wouldn't even think of trying that if I were you," the wolf said to him and the silver wolf slowly put his rifle down before standing up with both hands behind his head. "What were you thinking?" the arctic wolf asked him, "and who are you?"

"My name is Wolfie Steel," the silver wolf answered, "I was hired to assassinate someone, but they never told me that it was a Star Fox member. I swear I never intended to kill Star Fox. Nor do I want to because I admire them."

"We'll see," Falco said as he approached Wolfie and he turned and shouted over the balcony. "HEY RYAN!!!"

I turned quickly facing up with confusion. The person I saw and heard was Falco, what was he doing here? Also with him was Nordic holding the Miratsume against someone I didn't recognize, a tall silver wolf who had his hands behind his head. Was this the person we were looking for? Nordic shot a trail of ice leading down to me and urged the wolf to slide down, which he quickly obeyed. Once the three slid down he quickly disengaged the slide and the wolf spoke to me.

"Hey Ryan," he said, "I'm a huge fan of you and your team."

"Don't try sweet talking him," Nordic said, "you nearly shot him in the head." I looked at Nordic and then back at the wolf angrily.

"Oh really?" I asked. "What's your name?"

"I'm Wolfie Steel," he said, "Bodyguard and Assassin for hire. I was hired by a mysterious group to kill someone. I wasn't expecting it to be you, a Star Fox member. It wasn't quite in the deal."

"What group?" I asked concerned.

"I don't know what they're called," he said, "the leader was some sort of cougar."

"The Claxan," Nordic, Falco, and I sighed in unison. I kind of figured they'd be behind this.

"That's right," another unknown voice said and we looked around in alarm. We turned to see a slightly shorter person in the Claxan uniform. We couldn't see his face under the cloak, and we weren't paying much attention to that as we looked on as who he was holding. A female black cat and she was looking on at us with a terrified look on her face. She was also sporting on a black cloak, but hers wasn't like the Claxans'. She was struggling under her grip.

'It's her we're looking for,' I thought, "let her go."

"That depends," the figure snarled, "on whether you surrender or not."

"Get real," I said and pulled out my sword.

"I was hoping it didn't have to come to this," the figure said and pulled a blaster right out to her head, just as some Dawx soldiers spawned right behind him to surround us. "Fight and she dies. Same goes for your friends." Cornered again. Would these cowards continue to play dirty like this? I dropped my sword and blasters, before holding my hands up. It was easy to tell that I was pissed off, the cat looked at me in slight worry. I looked at her sternly as if to try to tell her things will go smoothly.

"Take them to the ship," he said. To my surprise the soldiers didn't move. "What are you waiting for?" he yelled. The soldiers still didn't move and shortly after they all collapsed in unison. We we're surprised and as the Claxan member looked on the feline gutted him in the stomach and broke free. She fled behind Nordic and Wolfie, who were both armed and looking angrily at the guy.

"This wasn't part of the deal," Wolfie shouted.

"You gotta do what's necessary," he said, "what kind of mercenary are you who doesn't follow orders?"

"One who knows when the deal goes too far," he replied, "deal's off." The Claxan growled and started glowing a bright red. I quickly grabbed my sword and aimed it at him.

"Then your target is mine Wolfie," he said, "it shall be known today that number 22 shall end the great Ryan Lewis." He gave a maniacal laugh and I felt myself go transparent. Everyone shouted my name as I felt myself disappear. I noticed that number 22 was also disappearing, he was taking me somewhere. I felt a force jerk me to wherever our destination is.

Everyone looked on as Ryan disappeared. Fox, Krystal, and Jovey showed up just as they disappeared. Fox approached them and saw Ryan's blasters still lying on the ground.

"Damn it," he said, "all he has is his sword."

"Where did he go?" Krystal asked. Everyone just shrugged except for the feline who spoke sternly.

"He has gone to where his destiny shall take him. Now he is once again put to the test, the test of life." They all looked at her in interest.

"What's your name?" Nordic asked.

"My name is Lucy Neu," she said, "I'm just a wanderer and philosopher, who was captured by the wretched, and used for their own selfish gain."

"We'd best get back to the Great Fox," Jovey said, "we must head off to the next place." They nodded and started to bolt back out of the temple to where the ships were.

After a couple of minutes I felt myself land. I was in a strange place. I didn't think it to be any place real. It was very dark, nothing visible except for the bright gray floor beneath me. No sounds were made either, broken only by the sounds of approaching robots. Four of them quickly converged on my location and I moved to draw my blasters. To my dismay I found that I didn't have them. I was glad to find that I still had my sword and drew it quickly. In a short few seconds I laid waste to the robots. Then everything was silent again. Everything except the approaching sounds of footsteps. I aimed carefully as the number 22 entered the light.

"Very impressive Ryan," he said, "you have become worthy of facing me." he slowly took off his hood. The figure was a red cat. And instantly he drew a sword encased in an aura of flame. What he did next was surprising, the sword broke and he started showing off by spinning it around. The several pieces chained together as if chained like a whip. Now that was hardcore, but now it's being used against me and I held my ground.

"My name is Fario," he said, "and welcome to hell." He snapped his fingers and a ring of flame surrounded the two of us. The ground also changed into a hot rocky surface and grew extremely hot. If I didn't finish this fast I was going to burn to death. I quickly rushed towards him. He brought his sword whip together to deflect a few blasts and pushed me to the side, then jumped and broke the sword whip out at me. I had to jump quickly and lightly to dodge his attacks. The soles of my feet were beginning to burn badly from the treatment. In fact, it was starting to burn everywhere. And he looked on at me unfazed, and struck again. I was at a disadvantage. A couple minutes passed and he managed the upper hand as he landed a few quick slashes and wrapped the whip around me, before spinning me around with several painful cuts. I hit the burning ground hard, my sword was knocked out of my hand, and I made to rush for it. He intercepted me and kicked at my head, which I guarded, but not before he shot a powerful stream of fire right at my gut, sending me flying several feet back wards and hitting the fire wall. The blast there sent me flying back to him and I hit the ground even harder. My whole body was bleeding, aching, and burning. He slowly approached me and aimed his weapon.

"Prepare to die," Fario said, "pathetic whelp." Time seemed to freeze still as I heard a voice in my head. It was deep and the English sounded broken.

"Call on weapons," it echoed. What? I thought. The voice repeated itself.

"Call on weapons," it said. I obeyed and thought about the sword. Quickly enough I felt my right hand instantly grip onto something and blindly I jumped up and slashed quickly at Fario. He didn't move and looked on with great surprise. He didn't move and I felt the place cool down again, the fires dissipated and disappear. He drew back quickly holding onto himself and kneeling. I could barely see the blood through the cut fabric.

"Damn bitch," he said, "how in the fuck did you do that?" He managed to conjure another stream of flame in his hand. He concentrated until it got bigger and bigger. Until the ball formed was about four times his size. I braced for my shield. Both of which my shield and accelerator were destroyed. There was nowhere to run, I braced for the impact. He laughed maniacally as he finished charging.

"I will kill you. Prepare to die." His laugh was cut off immediately and I saw a surprised look on his face. I looked on confused as his flame died down and he collapsed, a sword the same size as mine was embedded in the back of his head. I saw another cloaked figure silently hold out his right hand, and the sword disappeared. It shortly reappeared in his hand. I could tell this guy was also a Claxan from the trench coat cloak. What I wanted to know is what the hell just happened. Did he really just kill one of his own members? He turned to walk away but I stopped him.

"Hey!" I shouted, "what the hell was that for?" I asked, "he was one of your own members. Why would you just kill him like that?" He turned to face me and held out his left hand. I saw the dark floor disappear below me and I could feel myself falling, I braced myself for impact, but it never came and I slowly slipped down into unconsciousness.

I could hear a voice. I couldn't tell who they were or where I was, I opened my eyes and saw complete pitch blackness. I was lying down somewhere and tried to stand up. I looked around and saw that I was standing in midair, no floor or anything.

"Where am I?" I asked hoping someone would answer. I heard a voice in my head. Although it didn't make a sound I could tell what it was saying.

"You are on a perilous journey. One that will be difficult without training your natural abilities."

"My natural abilities?" I asked confused.

"You must discover your true power. Call upon your projectile weapons. Concentrate them appearing in your hands and they will come." I did so and sure enough, with a small flash of light the blasters appeared in each of my hands. The voice spoke again.

"Use this technique when in trouble and you will always be ready for battle. There are those whose skill in the ways of magic and arcane arts are great. You must now seek the many reaches for the skills of your own."

"How?" I asked, "I don't know where to learn."

"You must trust your senses. The things you experience first hand are the things you can learn. But be cautious, the use of this technique comes at a price every living being puts on the line in the end. Not being careful shall cause you to face the same destiny all share in the end."

"Death," I said, "so I can use magic, but if I use too much at one time I die."

"Correct. Now you must go, the universe is in great danger. She cries for the one who will liberate the evil from her."

"Who are you?" I asked.

"That is not important," he said with a deep voice, "go. And tell my son that I am so proud of him." Before I could ask a very bright light filled the darkness and I felt myself get jerked away. I couldn't understand everything this guy said. I did understand that I could use magic. But how would I learn them. I would have to try something, like when I called my weapons back. I felt my feet touch ground with the light still bright. I could hear another voice, a female one in my head.

"You shall learn what you need with every great battle you face,

To defeat those in your way to save the grace.

With each Claxan foe you defeat,

Shall another spell and technique greet,

With your powers shining bright,

Bring the darkened balance back to light."

The light faded away and I could see the surrounding area again. It was quite dark and the smell in the air was foul, as if polluted. I thought on a moment about the riddle. I recited the first two lines to myself.

"You shall learn what you need with every great battle you face, To defeat those in your way to save the grace." I thought on for a moment, "so in order to learn new techniques, I need to defeat and/or kill someone in battle and learn something about them." I then thought of the other two lines.

"With each Claxan foe you defeat, Shall another spell and technique greet." I recited to myself, "so that explains that I can only learn the techniques from defeating a Claxan member. Boy this will be fun." I already knew by heart what the last two lines meant. In order to save the universe, I must defeat the Claxan. I thought about the last two members of the Claxan. I had defeated them, but did I get anything from them. I first thought about Zack. What did he have that I could have learned? I thought for a moment about the things he said, about having the ability to see many different visions. I concentrated and thought about trying heat vision. It didn't work, it just seemed to be not working. I looked around and realized I wasn't on Katina anymore. I looked around in surprise and thought hard on where I was. I continued thinking hard about what I was seeing and had the feeling of wanting to know. Then I could feel the information getting relayed into my head.

'Planet Zoness,' I was caught off guard. How did I know that? Did I know that? Or did I just learn it?

"I must have learned how to find out information about things. Like a computer scan I guess. Okay, so I'll call this spell Scan." I looked around to see a plant and said "Scan" as I held out my hand. Known information about the plant relayed in my head. So I could get information on just about everything now. With a smile on my face I concentrated on the next Claxan. Did I learn the power of fire from Fario? I held out my left hand and shouted.

"Fire!" Instantly a ball of fire shot out of my hand and hit the plant, setting it ablaze. I looked on absolutely astonished, I was now officially a magic user. I now had the magic spells "Scan" and "Fire" in my arsenal. I then felt extremely tired, it seems the spells have taken a toll on me. I looked around and spotted nothing dangerous and decided to head off to sleep, setting off my sword and blasters to the side as I did.

Everyone looked around the Great Fox, tracking Ryan's communicator to see where he had disappeared to. Jovey stopped everyone by clearing his throat. Everyone was on the bridge and they faced him. Tri, Adair, Lucian, Robert, Red, Kuro, Nordic, Fara, the President, Zio, Fox, Falco, Krystal, Slippy, and Peppy all turned to face him. He pointed and spoke.

"I sense Ryan along with two others on the planet Zoness."

"Really?" Zio asked. Jovey nodded and Fox spoke.

"Than we head to Zoness," he said, "and at top speed." Everyone nodded and they sailed off quickly to the planet Zoness.
