Khaz's Weakness
Another day rolled by and still Khaz hadn't found the lake Rya had told him about. She told him it was only a few miles to the north but that still didn't mean it was an easy place to find. The trees of the forest seemed to be thicker here and all the smells around Khaz mixed and confused him. After the first day he wasn't too worried but now Four day's had passed and he was still lost.
"I should have asked how to get to the lake from some demon." Said Khaz
As he walked finally the one thing he hoped to find showed itself. The trees around started to get greener as he went as moss grew on the sides of the trees. Khaz knew that that could only happen if he was near a water source of some kind. Khaz smiled and started to follow the greener trees; if they started to grow darker then he knew he was going the wrong way. Even with this new tracking it still took Khaz another three hours to reach the edge of an enormous lake.
Khaz jumped with joy as he reached the shore line and took a few drinks of the pure water. Once he was done he looked around the clearing he was in and saw in the south a small dot on horizon the he know was Bear Tooth Mountain. He was amazed how far away it was.
"She told me it was only a few miles away but to a demon I guess a few miles is more than I'm used to." Said Khaz
Khaz looked around some more; he wanted to get a good look at the place before he used the pearl's power. He saw a sign that had words carved into it. Khaz walked up to the sign to read it.
Lake Kagome
Here is the lake that the mighty Inuyasha killed the evil one known as Naraku. But this is also the place that Kagome the young woman from a different time disappeared forever without a trace. The lake was named after her because if it wasn't for her Inuyasha wouldn't have had the power to kill Naraku. All of us the feared for our lives during the times the evil one was alive we thank her for what she did and hope she is safe. We owe our lives to her and Inuyasha.
"Wow I wonder who this Kagome was." Said Khaz as he read the sign
Khaz smiled and worked his way back to the shore line knowing that he couldn't hold back any more. He reached in to his pocket and pulled out the small black pearl. He looked at it for a moment admiring the beauty of it before he held it up high. At first nothing happened and Khaz thought he may have done something wrong but then a flash of light ran through the pearl and out into the lake. Then the light came back out to stop dead within a few feet of him. The light then split and widened to form a dark looking portal.
"I hope that Rya was right about this." Said Khaz as he stepped forward letting the dark portal take him
Everything in the aria seemed to vanish including sound, smells, and noise. For a short time it seemed like Khaz had entered a darkness that couldn't be broken by anything. Then as soon as it started the darkness vanished and everything came back. Khaz rubbed his eyes from the sudden blast of light then after his eye's got used to it he took a look around.
"What the hell." Said Khaz as he found himself looking up at the large skeleton of some enormous beast
The thing looked as though it was a Demon of some kind. It had on old looking armor and in its open mouth it had one long but broken fang. Khaz was impressed by the demon's body and could tell that he was once a mighty demon at one time. He then remembered that Rya told him that Inuyasha lived in side the bones of his dead father. So was this the body of Inuyasha's father? Well he didn't have time to wait around he needed to find Inuyasha right away.
Khaz could now see he was standing on a small rock pillar. He looked around and saw more of them all around. He jumped up to the closest one to him then to the next making his way to the bones of the dead demon. He thought to himself that this was a little too easy when out of nowhere a voice echoed through the air.
"Wind Scare." Said the voice and a blast of yellow light came speeding at him
Khaz only had seconds to jump to the next pillar before the one he was on was blasted away. Once he landed Khaz yelled out "Tento." The blade formed in his hands just as another blast of yellow light came at him. This time Khaz planted his feet and swished his sword through the air yelling as the same blast of energy he used on Cazta went flying at the area the other energy blast came from. Khaz then saw a red something come flying out of the armor right before Khaz's blast hit. As it flew on he pulled out an enormous white sword and threw another energy blast at Khaz.
Khaz avoided the blast again and searched for the person attacking him. He saw him land on another pillar just like his. Khaz saw that he was a Demon with Long silver hair like Khaz's with a red kimono on. He had a thin mustache and goatee combination that didn't really fit in with his face. He was holding a long white sword that was almost bigger than he was, he had long wicked looking claws, his feet were bare, and he had dog ears on the top of his head.
He smiled at Khaz and said in a cocky voice "What do you what?"
"I could ask you the same thing, why did you attack me like that?" said Khaz
"It was you that entered this territory, this is my father's bones and I don't like to be disturbed." Said the Demon
"I'm looking for someone that goes by the name of Inuyasha." Said Khaz
"Why."
"I need his help."
"How could I help anyone?" Said the demon his eye's getting a little watery for a moment
"Are you telling me you're Inuyasha?" said Khaz
"I am so what of it."
"Then you're a half demon."
"I don't like being called that and why should it matter to you you're one too."
"Yes true and that is why I need your help. My sister is Caso your Niece and she told me you could show me how to control my Demon form." Said Khaz
"I am the only half demon to know how that is true but I don't teach it to anyone. Why should I when you will just use the power to kill." Said Inuyasha
"You miss understand me Inuyasha I don't know how to control it and I'm afraid I'll kill my mate if I let it come out again." Said Khaz
Inuyasha smiled and said "That may happen but why should you care, Mates are nothing but trouble."

Khaz had Tento leave and he then said "Where could we talk?"
"Inside the bones." Said Inuyasha
Khaz followed as he jumped away making his way for the mouth of the dead demon. Once Khaz was within feet of Inuyasha he could see that he looked sad. Inuyasha ignored Khaz as he jumped into the belly of the monster. Once Khaz followed and found himself at the bottom of a massive cavern he turned to find Inuyasha again.
"What's your name." came Inuyasha's voice from the other side of the room

Khaz remembered the name of the lake then his memories had a spark and he said "Kagome I know that name."

This is around the time the demon's decided to hide for good from the human world. Kagome was from the future and she could come see me any time she wanted even after the great fight. One the new demon world was made the well the connected her and me was lost. The bone eaters well disappeared for ever and Kagome and myself were lost from each other. I stayed in the human world for some time but when my friends stared to grow old and die out I had to leave. I decided to hide from the world since I was not allowed to be with anyone. I didn't want to be around the death and pain of the world so I hid and said I would never come back out."
"Then why are you so young looking for your age?" said Khaz
"I'm young because of two things, first I'm part demon and we live longer than most and also this land I'm in does not know time. I could stay here forever and never grow old." Said Inuyasha
"Then why haven't you tried to find her when the time came for her to be alive and well." Said Khaz
"It's because I'm not allowed to have anyone love me." said Inuyasha
"That's bull shit and you know it."
"Every time I care for someone they die. My mother, my first love, and if not for her disappearance Kagome would have too."

"Good then I need you to trust me as I train you because the only way to help you control your demon form is to bring it out." Said Inuyasha with a grin
"No I can't that'll never work and I won't let you." Said Khaz backing away

"What are you doing." Said Khaz
"If you won't let me teach you how I want then you can face my full Demon form." Said Inuyasha and he disappeared

Inuyasha disappeared again and then Reappeared right before Khaz hit the opposite wall and he punched him again. Finally Inuyasha stopped and let Khaz get up for a moment to glare at him.
"What the hell was that." Said Khaz
"That is the power of a true demon Khaz and in time if you let me teach you you'll have it too. It takes courage and strength to master and I know you have both." Said Inuyasha
"But I don't what to kill anyone by changing..." started Khaz but he was cut off by Inuyasha as he flashed over to Khaz

Inuyasha was right Khaz's face still had the red eye's and the markings of his demon form. He smiled to see his fang's longer than he was used to. His smile widened as he turned toward Inuyasha and said "Well lets see how well I can use it."
"Then pick up your sword and let's find out." Said Inuyasha
Then without any warning Khaz dashed to his sword then attacked. Khaz was amazed in how fast he had become and he used it to his full advantage. Inuyasha was also amazed by the power behind this half demon. The two of them fought with all they had not caring if they killed the other or if they lost their own lives. The battle was not one of hate but one to see how far they both could go using their best power. They were so evenly matched that it took two days of non-stop fighting for them to come to an end.
It was Khaz that ended the fight when after he was almost too tired to keep going. Right then a voice came into his head telling him how to end the fight. He looked down at Tento wondering if what he was told was true. "I was wondering why you can't go to the human world without Me." said Khaz
"When I left for this world I lost my ability to go back to the human world now the only way for me to go to it is for another to let me go." Said Inuyasha
"Well I have no problem helping you with that and when it comes to Kagome I will be able to help with that after I see my mate." Said Khaz
"Ok but I don't want to wait too long. It's been five hundred years and I miss her." Said Inuyasha
"I understand now I just need to know how to get out of this place." Said Khaz
"Do you still have the pearl that was given to you?"
"Yes." Said Khaz handing it to Inuyasha
Inuyasha took it then placed it on the ground and hit it with his sword. The pearl glowed black once again and opened the portal like before. Inuyasha picked up the pearl then walked into the portal followed closely by Khaz. Just like before the feeling of nothing surrounded Khaz as he flowed away from the world of the dead and to the world of the living.
Khaz looked at Inuyasha once they had arrived back by the lake side and said "I don't know if we should go and talk with Caso or head right for the pack."
"We should head for your pack at once, your leader can send a message to Caso right." Said Inuyasha
"Yes Leon could do that so let's be off." Said Khaz and he concentrated and started to chant the return phrase
Once more a portal opened but this time it was gold instead of black like the one they just used. Khaz and Inuyasha looked at each other before walking into it. This time the change between worlds was instant and Khaz found he was only a few miles from the pack.
"Good we're only a few miles away so we should be there within the hour." Said Khaz

Inuyasha's head fell as he said "When the worlds were split the lake that we killed Naraku in was taken to our world. "I'll sleep outside. It's been a long time since I was out and I would like a night to myself. Tell me when the next new moon is."

"What do you mean Inuyasha what's going on." Said Khaz
"This is the Half Demon's weakness Khaz. Every half demon has a day sometime during the year that changes them into the weak half of their blood. Mine is during the first night of the new moon and it looks like so is yours." Said Inuyasha
"What but this has never happened to me in the last four months I've known about my demon self." Said Khaz
"Well if you were in your wolf form at the time you may not have knottiest. Was there time's when you felt powerless?"
Khaz thought back and he could count three other times he felt like had no power and they had all been on the first day of a new moon. He then said "I do and you're right."
"Most half demons don't tell many people of this because it makes us easy to attack. Khaz without your power the pack will die we must get them out of here at once." Said Inuyasha
"What must we do." Said Khaz
"Get the wolves together and make them leave at once when I saw the humans they were only a few miles away. They are on foot so you'll have a little time." Said Inuyasha
"What about you?" said Sheara walking up to Inuyasha
"I'll be with you soon I'm going to go find that one wolf that told us of the attack I just remembered she never came back."
With that Khaz and Sheara watched as Inuyasha ran off into the night. Khaz watched him for a moment before he finally looked at his mate to say "What you said about me being a father was it true?"
"Yes."
"Then I have more than just you to protect now keep close to me and we may yet make it out of this. Let's go warn your father and save the pack." Said Khaz
She smiled and ran off with Khaz heading right for the leader's cave. Both of them determined to make it to the pack before anymore of their friends could be hurt or killed...
