Here is the sequel to my previous story "Cold". This time I tried to focus little more on story-progression rather than erotic themes. Enjoy.

TALE OF THE WANDERER

CHAPTER 1

SURUNMURHAAJA

Cold northern wind blew across the fields carrying clouds of diminutive powder which stuck into Samael' clothes and blew even underneath his robes. Even undead he could feel the cold and pain which jolted trough his lower back in every step made the feeling even more unbearable as he slide his arms into sleeves, crossing the before his chest. Blasted, horny lizard! He cursed within his mind clenching his teeth together well aware that Glacies was walking right behind him like a gigantic, dark scaled mutt. It was early dawn but this far north and in wintertime the sun had just begun its journey across the sky shedding faint beams of light across dim white twilight as they marched on towards city of Helsinki. Glacies, who had been pleasantly quiet since their departure broke the silence: "Say why do we even have to go into the city? Judging from the scents in air area is dotted with small towns and hamlets where you could easily get gear for yourself." Samael grunted word 'scent' reminding him about the musky odor which he reeked ever since dragon's perverted assault just hours ago. Trying to toss memory aside he lifted his head grunting reply between his teeth: "Indeed we could and we most certainly get rest of equipment from small hamlet rather than Helsinki but there is an item I need and if I'm right it has been returned back to great cathedral in Helsinki."

"And that item is?" Samael stopped and turned around on spot until he could look into Clacies' burning red eyes giving him a questioning look as sudden realization dawned upon him.

"Say. Are you already in books of the living or is the curse of undead still upon you?" Dragon stared at him for a moment before devious grin arouse upon his snout.

"My resurrection was complete human! Are you jealous about it or is there something I should know about?" He announced proudly his toothy smirk only growing wider and wider. Finally some good news... Samael shook his head and turned around to continue onward.

"The cathedral where we shall begin our search is ruled by priests of the black cross. They are occult fanatics and know terrible sorcery which crosses borders of life and dead." Hearing amused snort from Glacies direction Samael peered over his shoulder and snapped: "They can sense undead even if I wouldn't reek with your horny scent already and once they know I'm coming they'll most likely send a hordes of fanatics to greet us!" Amused grin died from Glacies' snout but he tilted his head and winked forward with his massive left paw. "And since they cannot sense me, you think we can outmatch them?" Now it was Samael' turn to grin as he stopped once again digging his right hand from the sleeve with the spark forming onto his palm once again. "I have few tricks up my sleeve which will aide your cause, but I need your co-operation. Say... Do you like jewels?"

"This is humiliating, yet strangely arousing..." Glacies voice confessed again one more too many times since Samael had cast his spell upon the dragon. Using ancient, yet simple words of forming Samael had transformed the great beast into a black diminutive draconic earring which hung around his left ear. Even though Samael felt himself proud about seeing the spell working he couldn't ignore fact that he actually feel something small yet stiff rubbing against his ear.

"Shut up! Earrings aren't supposed to talk and we are getting close!" He heard a quiet chuckled and felt the dragon moving slightly around his ear but luckily beast didn't put up any louder protest. According to usual scaling Helsinki wasn't really even a city but just a really large town. Before Samael' untimely departure to halls of the King of nothing whole city was inhabited just by mere thousand of people and covered only twenty square kilometers at edge of Baltic sea. As this wouldn't have been enough some damned idiot had decided to build the city on swamp dotted by elevating terrain and house sized rocks rising directly from bedrock. They we're close enough to see fife meters tall stonewall surrounding the city and black smoke rising behind it from countless stoves and furnaces necessary to keep anyone alive during cold winter months. Sun had risen further over sky but it was still too early and the road to city was void from all life apart from two guards standing before large gateway. Anthro wolf standing two meters tall on right and deer just slightly shorter than his companion gave long odd looks at him even from distance and it didn't surprise Samael as they stepped forth blocking his was with their rusty spears.

"Halt! I've walked upon this earth long enough that even folks of north doesn't have that pale skin as yours!" Wolf snarled commanding tone in his voice but he grabbed his spear with two hands giving away fear behind his words. Samael didn't stop but waved his right hand in one circling motion before him causing rusty mails covering their tattered uniforms to begin heat exponentially. "I don't have time for this..." He announced and kept walking as the guard realized what was happening and rushed screaming into the banks of snow against the stone walls. "Oh that was neat. Did you plan to kill them?" Glacies asked as he kept on entering quiet streets shadowed by wall and countless wooden shacks along the stone road. "Nah." He confessed. "What point would have that been? They'll suffer burns longer and if their clothes catch on fire, they have to find shelter before they can alarm anyone about our arrival." Samael could feel dragon nodding before he tightened his grip around ear. "So how where is the cathedral?" Samael didn't have to but he lifted his gaze from snowy stones he was walking upon. Main street was almost void from life not counting few beggars who shambled here and there and two elder woman who dusted ragged clothes upon the street from windows of their homes. There at center of the city only few hundred meters away stood gigantic church towering above all within city walls. Cathedral was made from white marble and fashioned to look gothic churches back in holy city of Vatican but the building was too small only twenty meters tall and not much wider, windowless and instead of holy sign of the god a black cross stood upon its roof, mocking the heavens above. But here far on north priests of Vatican had no power over people which allowed such alteration of faith to lay its hands upon earth. Samael didn't answer and dragon grunted to his ear as they walked to empty market square before the cathedral. Only there Samael realized what was wrong. To reach great wooden doors one would have to walk marble stairs rising from the market square up to the cathedral. From distance Samael had foreseen row of statues set halfway of the said stairs but now as he stopped middle of the square he could see that these figures we're priest buried deep underneath their black robes. "There is more of them..." Glacies noted and with a quick glance he could note more priests standing on rooftops behind them. He didn't answer, not planning to give in dragon's presence and as winder breeze across the stone he heard a voice calling from the doorway:

"Accursed undead walks upon city shielded by Lord' divine might! Before you shall be vanquished into icy halls we, priest of mercy, allow you one change to state your living name and confess your sins!" Samael steeled himself but raised his hands to lay back his hood and straightened himself to yell his reply: "I am Samael Pohjantähti and my sin is above your comprehension! I've returned to land of living to regain Surunmurhaaja and you are poor, poor people if you don't return it to me!"

Voice, most likely a high-priest, yelped by surprise and commanded in loud yet fearful scream: "Send him back! Tear him apart!" Row of priests complied and with a single fluid motion they straightened their open palms before them and earth beneath them erupted open as skulls of the dead, single to everyone rise before them. Samael knew that he didn't have time to shield himself but instead he jumped forward, picking the Clacies from his ear and tossed him behind his back as row of gaggling skulls shot towards them. He landed flat upon the hard ground hearing the dragon roar behind his back before series of explosions drowned his voice causing Samael' eardrums to bang painfully. Without waiting for another one he raised his arm at flickering torch next to the great door. Closing his eyes his body turned to ashes only to be reformed from flames far behind row of priests. He didn't pay heed to them as poor fellows seemed to be shocked about dragon' appearance but before he slipped into dark halls he gave a quick look to note that Glacies' form had disappeared behind thick black cloud. If he survived from that he is really a strong bastard. Samael' thought was confirmed by series of screams echoing through the wooded door but he didn't pay heed to them. Suiting to style the cathedral's interior was stripped from everything apart from stone pillars which held the roof up, the black altar and deformed image of Christ set upon cross at farthest end of cross shaped building. And before the altar stood an old man holding his hands up at sky like he was praying for miracle. "So it is really you?" High-priest asked without setting his eyes upon Samael as he began to walk slowly towards him. Small flicker of light outside illuminated his hands enough that he could see a familiar small dagger laid upon them. "Yes and it seems like you indeed had my precious dagger." Samael stopped fife meters before the priest and lifted his right hand at him. For reply priest chuckled and shook his head. "I'm a holy man, commanded by divine creator himself to lead this land and purge it from heretics and undead. You are student of damned sorcerer and this is your dagger. What do you think would happen if I gave it back to you?!" As last words escaped from his lips the priest turned his head setting his empty, gray eyes upon Samael and brought his hands down piercing his chest with the dagger. Samael gasped in horror as his mouth shot open but instead cries of pain formless blobs of flesh began to pour out starting to pile upon the priest. Aaaw shit! Familiar with what was coming Samael light up fire upon his hand and casted the flame to slowly rising pillar of flesh but burning blobs we're quickly replied by others until the monster couldn't rise any higher and instead started to bend backwards along the roof, like a seedling searching for way to reach upon sun. Samael tossed another fireball but was forced to step back as countless thing tentacles bursted from pillar and started to snake their way at him. He had encountered pillar of flesh before and knew well enough not to get caught by it. For protection he created wall of flame before him as he started to walk backwards using his hand to guide the flames at most threatening ones but like this he couldn't win and he was brought to realization once his back hit against one of the stone pillars. "Shiiit..." He cursed fearing that end had come but then loud cracking boom echoed through cathedral and familiar voice roared from now open doorway: "Samael you little piece of shit! I'll tear you a new one because of this!" Smell of burning flesh and his own flames had already gotten unhealthy close and he roared a quick reply: "Later lizard! Burn this bastard! Cutting or smashing it won't do any good!" For a moment Samael thought that lizard was planning to leave him to meet his fate but then dragon's roar swept across the cathedral snuffing his wall of flames and freezing two of his fingers which weren't covered by the pillar. Before him thick sheet of ice enveloped pillar of flesh and it's hungry tentacles, which didn't make a sound as it's flesh started to turn from pink to white and then slowly black as each it's cell froze dead by unnatural cold. Samael draw quick breath and stepped up seeing Glacies staring intensively at him from the doorway. "Get what you came for and hop on..." Samael nodded jolting to the icy nemesis and using his flame he melted a small hole into ice where he could sink his arms between the blobs of flesh and pull the dagger out still stuck between priest's ribcage. Then without any ceremony he ran back to dragon and jumped onto his head before he pulled back and darted into clouded sky while curious and horrified masses began to gather into market square beneath them.

They didn't speak during the flight, mostly because of the breezing wind which cut down any voice quieter than screams. Samael clung on Glacies horns until dragon settled down in a small opening within spruce forest covering landscape as far eye could see. Without a word dragon lowered his head so that human could jump of but immediately when his feet hit the snow a sheet of ice rose up to his neck leaving only his head free. "Hey! What's this about!?" Samael yelped unable to shake off memories caused by familiar feeling of cold firm imprisonment. Glacies growled trough his teeth and slowly made his way before him and just now Samael could see black blast marks and burns covering his otherwise flawless scales. "You little shit!" He announced giving a hard swat to ice with his tail. "You could have warned me!" Samael swallowed realizing that his attempts to ignite the spark prove unsuccessful due the imprisonment. "I thought you could handle it and you aren't dead yet aren't you?" He asked. Dragon stopped before him and rise up to his back feet revealing his floppy but nether less massive cock. Without warning he jerked himself causing the musky meat slap across Samael' face leaving a red mark and probably even few broken bones. Then without giving him time to recover dragon motioned over slapping the cock down against his face and left it there, forcing him to breathe his musky scent. "Listen to me you little asshole. If my freedom wouldn't be bound to your succeeding I would snap your head here and be done with it. From now on you share your every plan, detail, and knowledge with me whatever it's crucial to our success or not. Got that right!?" Samael nodded causing his face to smear uncomfortably across the meaty length and tried to reply but with a fluid motion Glacies pulled back and shoved his cock down to his throat, muffling his efforts to speak or yelp. "Excellent. I'm so glad that despite your differences we get along this well. Now allow me to warm you up a bit." Dragon groaned starting to buck his body, causing the cock to move back and forth inside Samael' mouth, making him glad that as an undead he didn't have to breathe.

Series of explosions had woken Rose from warm bed. By the time she had rose up and donned her armor, voices of fighting out in the city had died down leaving her pointlessly sitting on edge of king size bed and struggling to get her boots on. Her last night conquest, a handsome human guardsman was still deep asleep beneath the blankets. She had planned to have her way with him again but knocks on the door aroused her from dirty fantasies. "Door is open!" She shouted giving up with the boots and kicked them aside. She didn't need them anyway. Her scarlet scales we're enough to keep the cold away and like this she could always claw her opponents with her feet. The door swung open and behind it waited no one else but middle-aged man, who she recognized to be a second in charge at local cathedral of black cross. His voice shuddered and he rubbed his fingers nervously together as he spoke: "Afternoon madam. I... I'm here to require your assistance." Rose blinked rising on her feet and stared down at him. "You got nerves. A mere priest coming to disturb my holy mission. Speak up and I decided would you request offend me enough to relieve you from that stupid head." Priest yelped softly and took a step back. "Nonono! You see the cathedral was attacked today by no one else than Samael himself accompanied by a black dragon!" Name struck to her like a bolt from crossbow. "Infamous Samael Pohjantähti? I though he perished ages ago?" Priest shook his head and fell on his knees. "It seems that he did but he has returned as an undead and today he came to our cathedral to reclaim his dagger along with lives of twenty priests and high-priest himself." Rose heard a quiet groan behind her back but brought her tail down to muffle guardsman. "Seems like you caught my attention priest. Tell me everything..."
