Food Chain: Praise be to Hector

About 30 minutes had passed and if my guess was correct, the second group of players had made it to the island and had 10 minutes to explore already. The first group, however, were now deeper into the jungle. We has lost Kyle the fish, and Crystal the bee within minutes of stepping inside, and we were now on high alert. We had at least one person watching  a direction at all times as we ventured forward. The plants were huge, looming over us like towers, and they had thick, tropical leaves that obscured  most of the sky save for a few beams of sunlight that were able to filter through. This kept much of the jungle in the shade, and made it harder to recognize traps and ambushes. The trees were also dark colors with shades of purple, blue, maroon, and black. The dark colors along with the ample shade made it even harder to spot hiding predators."Alright, stop!" Hector ordered as we came to the what appeared to be a safe spot. "We can start building our village here." He instructed pointing to the area.To say that it was a clearing wasn't quite accurate, as it didn't have a wide open view of the sky, but there was fewer number of trees available which made it easier to walk through. Most of the plants were just bushes, and wouldn't be hard to clear out.

"We need to make some tools before we can build anything important." I said, "We should start looking for rocks and sticks so we can chop down some wood." as we stepped into the clearing, I could see there were plenty of rocks around the place already, and I finally realized why this place looked so good."Wait a minute, I know this place." I said, as Hector looked at me, "This is a death trap." I said, and the others looked at me in fear, "Well more like an unofficial death trap." I said, and I could tell Maxwell was getting agitated by what seemed to be nonsense. He looked ready to start demanding answers before I continued."Some places on the island are designed just like this." I began, "They seem like good places to set up at first, plenty of supplies and spacing to make a hold out. But the Hunters are given a detailed map about the island's lay out, and these are the very first places they check." I explained. The others seemed nervous by that information, fearing they might have to begin searching elsewhere for supplies.

"So everybody grab whatever supplies you can, we're setting up our camp elsehwere!" I declared, "Just because it's bait doesn't mean we can't take advantage of it!" I grinned, and Hector seemed to understand my plan as well."Tribe Wiseman, indeed." he said as he started grabbing nearby rocks and sticks. We could collect whatever resources were around the location and then simply build our base in another location the Hunters wouldn't think to look. The others soon began to follow suit. We collected whatever rocks looked

light enough to carry, yet easy enough to sharpen, and any nearby sticks or branches that would be sturdy enough to make decent tools out of. The fact that we found some loose hanging vines to tie them together only confirmed my suspiscions about how this was all too good to be true. In the back of my mind I hoped that if we took all the supplies, it might discourage anyone else from falling into the trap. They'd see there was nothing salvagable from the area and move on.Eventually we had amassed three seperate piles of rocks, wood, and vines, and Hector ordered us to get to work. We would sharpen the rocks by grinding them against each other, then tie them to the sticks when they were ready.

The work was grueling, even with our enhanced bodies, and the results were crude. The wood we had was all salvaged from whatever was laying on the ground. It was warped, crooked, and it needed to be carved. Sharpening the stones was a slow process without any proper grinding equipment and it took us the better part of a couple hours before we finally managed to cobble together a set of crude stone tools. The results of our arduous labors was four axes, three hammers, and a couple of stone knives. But at least we hadn't been disturbed by anything in the jungle during our work."There's not enough tools for all of us." Hope said, noticing that we still had 13 members left, and only 9 tools in which to help us out. As she reached for one of the axes, she remembered she no longer had the use of her hands, and withdrew her limb sheepishly. "I guess it doesn't matter for some of us." She said."These are just to get us started, we'll be able to craft some proper tools once we get better situated." I said, " For now, I think this is good enough. We should start moving again. At least now we have weapons if anything attacks us."

Hector seemed to agree with my decision, and for a moment I wondered who was really our chieftain, but then he took charge and began to issue out the tools to those he thought should have them. The axes went to Maxwell, Adrian, Haley, and Hector. The hammers went to myself, Ruby,  and Heather. Finally, the knives went to James and Michael. This left Violet, Sara, Hope, and Ashley unarmed. When I noticed they were all female, I snuck a glance towards Hector, wondering if he might have been a bit sexist. Maxwell clearly didn't need an axe, he was the biggest and strongest one here. Even if he was a panda, he was still a bear. I brushed it aside from my thoughts for now. We needed to survive, not try and analyze the tribe's personality traits. As we continued through the jungle, we kept our weapons at the ready. The stone blades may not be as good as a metal one, but the edges were thin and the heads were heavy. If nothing else, they'd carry a bit of weight behind their swings. As we deviated from the

safety of the death trap (yes, I know how that sounds), I noticed the dangers were getting harder to predict. The island wanted to scare us, herd us back towards the camp site. It was as if this whole jungle had a mind of its own and wanted to toy with us as much as possible.

The foliage grew thicker, to the point where we had to either push or chop it out of our way. It was here that we started to keep a very close watch on our footing, unsure of what might be hiding beneath the leaves."Stop!" Hector declared after another 30 minutes of walking, "This is far enough, things are getting too dangerous up ahead." He instructed. I was afraid that the Hunters might be able to catch our scent if we were only half an hour away from camp, but Hector was right. The more we pressed on, the more I kept getting a sinking feeling that we were about to step into a disaster. It would be better to stay put and calm my nerves for now."Alright, the first thing we're going to need for a wall and shelter is some wood." I suggested, "We can use the axes to chop down trees, and use our hammers to nail in the posts. Let's start collecting wood from the immediate area, we can make a clearing."Hector began pointing out trees to collect and those with axes got to work, hacking away at the trunks. Much to our relief, the axes were, indeed, sharp enough to work. After a few swings, they began to chop through the tree trunks, and soon the trees began to topple.

As we began to work, I really began to admire the ancient civilizations of the past who had to do all this work long before modern technology. We had no saws, and thus had to shave off the trees with our claws or axes, cutting through the branches and hacking the logs up into thin posts to use for construction. Even with our super human stamina, we were growing sore and tired. I had no doubt that any human that was forced to do this work  in the time we completed it would probably have dropped dead from exhaustion. We worked until dusk, taking shifts every time one group of laborers grew too exhausted to continue. By the time we were done, we had cleared a space of roughly 100 open space, and felt like we were going to puke. We hadn't eaten the entire time, and as anyone knows, doing heavy yard work on an empty stomach is a nauseating feeling.I was impressed, however, that we managed to pile up three stages of wooden posts in that time, and was convinced we could finally build a security wall with that amount of resources. We also collected the over sized leaves which we could use for bedding and clothes."The tribe needs to eat." Hope said as we sat around the clearing we had made, resting our aching bodies. "We're exhausted and aching. If we don't get some food, we won't live through tomorrow!" she warned."Hope, be quiet!" Hector exclaimed, "The tribe doesn't

need to hear any death threats. Let me and Christopher take care of the leadership!" as he said this, I once again thought back to the possibility of his sexual beliefs, and then I saw how the small bird recoiled at his words.

"Sorry, sir." she apologized. And then I finally realized the truth. Hector, according to what I had just witnessed, was a cult leader. Hope was right, without food, we would die soon, yet Hector had dismissed her advice outright.I realized now that most of the tribe hadn't spoken much before now. Every time danger appeared, their attention immediately snapped to Hector as if they expected him to have all the answers. After all, he'd seen every season 10 times, surely he'd know how to deal with this! They all looked to him for survival, he was their guide, their leader... their savior. Without him, they would fall to pieces as they tried to brave the wilds alone. I speculated that perhaps making me the Wiseman was not a decision based on my knowledge of the show, but his attempt to maintain his hold over the tribe. If I were just another member, my advice and knowledge might undermine his authority. But he gave me the position of Wiseman, I was to be his adviser. If he followed any of my suggestions, it would look like he was heeding my advice, rather than following orders.

Unfortunately, it also meant I would be a likely scapegoat if anything went wrong! How could Hector be blamed for a failed strategy, when I was the one who proposed it? At least Adrian and Heather were new to the tribe like myself, and now that I knew his game, he couldn't indoctrinate me into his cult. I wouldn't become dependent on him, I had to learn to survive on my own. Complacency would lead to death if I allowed someone else to make all the decisions."She's actually got a point, Hector." I spoke up, "I don't think any of us have eaten since we got here." Hector turned to me and for the briefest of moments, I could see defiance in his eyes, before he relaxed and nodded."Perhaps you're right." he conceded, "I've seen wild game on the show plenty of times, and there are fruits and vegetables on the island that are still edible." he said, "How can they have a season long show if the contestants starve to death, after all?""The game is all dangerous. I wouldn't suggest taking it on until we've got better weaponry." I said, "But the fruits and vegetables are engineered with a number of stimulants that quickly revitalize the body. If we can get our hands on some, we'll be back in top shape by morning."

"Of course, that was my idea as well." Hector lied. I was seriously beginning to doubt the validity of his knowledge on the show. Thinking back on it now, his information on the Steel Flower was pretty lack luster. Of course a carnivorous flower would "specialize on creatures who fed on nectar",

how the hell else would it attract prey? He also seemed completely surprised by the giant fish in the river that ate Kyle. The fear that Hector was a complete sham began to rise in me, and had he not commented about the sex cult back in season 2, I would have wagered he'd never seen an episode in his life."Alright, Maxwell, Adrian, Michael and James, you guys start looking for any kind of foods growing around here." Hector ordered, "If you can't reach it, just memorize it's location and we'll think of something later." he then issued them an axe each."Christopher and I will remain behind and continue to think of our next move. The girls will rest up here." he instructed. I wondered why he would order me to stay behind, this was a perfect opportunity to get me accidentally killed looking for food, and then I realized that while Hector may have been their savior, I was his.

I was right, Hector needed me, I knew more about the show than he did, and even though I was a potential threat, he couldn't afford to lose me this early in the game. The fact he kept all the women behind fully cemented the idea of his sexist beliefs.I watched the others head off into the woods, beginning to seek out potential food, while Hector made his way to the gathered women.  All but Heather crowded around him as if for safety, and he wrapped his arms around Ruby and Haley's waist as he pulled them close.Heather  was sitting on a tree stump, watching the zebra's harem crowd around him, and turned to me as I sat on the stump next to her. I was about to talk to her about my thoughts on Hector, but she spoke first."Did the big stallion take all the other girls?" she asked teasingly, placing her pink paw on my crotch and making me flinch in reflex. I turned to look at Hector who had changed his posture. He was now groping Ruby's right breast, and rubbing Haley's sex while the other girls sat at his hooves, pining for his attention.

"You know, you're a cat, and I'm a rat." Heather cooed, "Aren't you suppose to pounce on me?" She asked, massaging my groin. My body was still cramped up from the hard work, and the exhaustion made it harder to resist the temptation as I felt myself quickly growing aroused. I responded to the pleasurable feeling by deliving my paw towards her own sex, pinching Heather's clit with my finger tips as she arched her back and continued to toy with my growing erection.I looked over through squinting eyes to see Hector was receiving head from Violet while he fingered Ruby's ass, and pumped his fingers inside Haley's sex. He was also suckling Ruby's breasts as she leaned into the palm of his hand, bringing her breasts closer to his face.I couldn't take it anymore. My body may have been aching, but I was a male, and instincts were taking over. With a zeal that came from a predator claiming its prey I forced

Heather to lay stomach down on the tree stump and hiked her tail out of the way."Mount me, stud!" she exclaimed, but I was lost in a mind fog and already plunging my cock inside her folds, gripping her thighs for support as I thrust like a wild animal.

I heard the sound of scraping bark as Heather's claws raked across the sides of the stump, moaning and panting as I claimed her for my own. I don't know how long the rutting continued, but eventually I felt an intense warmth flood through my thighs as I came, pumping the rat girl with my semen. I didn't pull out until the whole orgasm was over, and left her panting and exhausted on the stump.I was only dimly aware of what happened, because the combination of total exhaustion, along with the intense fucking sapped the last of my strength. My vision grew hazy and finally blacked out as I fell unconscious on the ground. To be continued.
