Story by JT Wolf on SoFurry

Michael placed a paw on the railing of the white, wooded porch and watched as the dirty, black, camaro sped off down the highway. "Hope he's going to be alright..." His voice trailed off into a deep, concerned thought until it was suddenly interrupted by vixen paws wrapping around his waist.

"He'll be fine hun, there's no need to worry." Jessi replied with a nuzzle into his back.

Michael halfheartedly smiled and placed his paws on hers. "I guess you're right."

He knew that wouldn't be the case, but he shrugged it off in hopes of a better outcome. "Johnny can take care of himself."

"Come on, let's go inside." Jessi took his paw and led him into the living room. They sat down on the leather backed sofa and Michael sighed as he caught the vixen's wondering eyes.

"So.." What exactly happened between you two?"

Michael closed his eyes and replied with a sigh. "I've told you before Jess..."

"Not everything though." I saw the way he looked at you. It was almost heartbreaking to watch. Didn't you sense it?"

"He's fine, I know him better than anyone." He put his paws up in defense as he tried his best to get her off the subject.

"It just didn't work out"

Jessi hugged into him. "Well I'm glad things worked out for us."

He softly chuckled after she kissed him.

"I love you Michael"

His eyes went to the floor and his heart sank like a thousand ships into the depths of a deadly sea.

"Love you too..."

"Shit!" Johnny slammed his paws into the steering wheel and sped down the highway faster than he'd ever gone. He couldn't exactly keep his eyes focused. Those angry eyes could only picture Michael and Jessica, telling each other how much they love one another, having a family and being happy.

The roar of the car was suddenly interrupted by a loud and angry scream. Leaving Johnny breathless, and with a sore throat. He gripped the wheel tighter and put the pedal to the metal.

Eventually his eyes caught sight of the broken little slice of home and as he pulled into the driveway he felt surprised he even made it there in one peice. He was calm. But the anger was still very present deep within the marrow of his bones.

"Ugh..." He cut the car off, listening to the sound of the engine slowly dying out and then giving way to a silent, cold whisper of wind.

The car door creaked as he gripped the handle and pushed it open. It swung back and forth on the hinges before it finally stopped, and as he took the keys from the ignition, Johnny slowly climbed out of the car, making a tired stagger to the door of the cabin.

Each footstep was heavy as he walked up and onto the rickety porch, eyeing the door handle before catching a glimpse of something further up near the top of the doorframe.

"What's this?" His tone suddenly changed, distracted by the intriguing paper that clung to the smokey, brown wood. His paw grasped the paper that turned out to be a letter and he fixed his eyes upon the text after he got it open. Only one word really caught his eyes.

Eviction Notice

"FUCK!" He yelled and tore the letter in half, tossing it onto the dirty floorboards. "This is all I need." Johnny stormed inside and removed his leather jacket, throwing it so hard into the living room that it hit the coffee table and knocked over a picture frame, shatters of glass strewn across the hardwood floor.

Johnny's eyes quickly turned to where the noise had come from, rushing over and picking the photo up. With a thud, he crashed onto the couch and moved his eyes onto it.

It was a wonderful memory. He and Michael and become tighter than ever and the day seemed to go on forever as they did things both of them really enjoyed. They ate at a fancy restaurant, talked, walked and cuddled on a park bench. And finally had this picture taken to commemorate such a great day.

His eye focused on Michael. That smile that had always made him melt was as present as it always was on the black wolf's muzzle. Johnny trailed his finger over his features in the photo. He missed seeing that smile, those eyes, his warmth and love. That visit only reminded him of it and awakened once ignored feelings. As a tear began to fall down his cheek, he laid the photo face down on the table, leaned over alittle and placed his paws over his face.

"Damnit Shot.. You where right."

He shook his head, shrugged it off and got up, eyeing the interior of the house and folding his arms. "So much for living." He sighed. Johnny needed to relax, to get away from it all so he figured a warm shower might help and trailed off into the bathroom.

The air was still chilly, yet there was enough warmth to make stripping down bearable. Johnny checked his look in the mirror and kicked off his boots which thudded against the wall as they hit and settled down onto the floor. Next came his vest and shirt, jeans following suit. The wolf shivered as his paws found their way to the rim of his dark grey boxerbreifs. And after breathing a sigh of dismay, slowly pulled them down. First, letting his sheath become exposed to the chilly air. His member nestled warmly in the furry shelter. Next, he pulled his tail through the little hole in the back of them and brought the underwear down around his ankles, stepping each foot paw out of the leg holes and laying them down next to his other clothes. Johnny furiously combed his tail, trying to get out all the little knots and tangled fur.

"Eh.. that's better" He muttered to himself before stepping into the marble shower and mentally preparing himself for the blast of cold water. It always took a little time to warm up.

His paw gripped both knobs and slowly started to turn them, Flinching at the thought. But something was wrong, there was no water. Not even a single drop had been left behind.

"Shit... they even turned off the water already?" His voice cracked as he asked himself, as if he were someone else in a tone of anger and desperation. He came storming out of the bathroom, figuring that he could just sleep it off, pacing his way into the living room and collapsing onto the couch. He sighed as he pulled the black, fleece blanket he had always kept on the ouch up to his neck.

"Guess I'll just worry about it tomorrow.."
