Third part of my story - enjoy! Comments are appreciated! n_n

The music was soothing, but not loud enough to drown out the useless chatter that filled the room. Most of the women looked like modern art sculptures in their fancy dresses, each trying to look more in vogue than the next. And each trying to stand in the spotlight, bragging about their latest encounter with the high and mighty and their laughter was as loud as it was false. The men were quieter, but not less eager to boast. Most of them already had more than the obligatory welcoming campaign.

'What am I doing here?' Hazel thought. There were only a few good things to say about a charity gala, and this particular one was a fine example of how to bore him to death. But he knew exactly well why he was there, standing between all the other guests, from old aristocrats to new venture capitalists. It was all about seeing and being seen after all, and he couldn't risk being the only one not present. In this leisure atmosphere, under chandeliers of crystal and gold and with half a string orchestra in the background, alliances were forged and deals were made. And he planned to be present when opportunities would arise.

He forced his mind back into the present and watched Lady Brittany as she entertained a whole retinue of wannabe nobles with her latest stories. Lady Brittany's adventures always were as extravagant as her dresses. Today she presented a light blue dress so voluminous, that it made her already large body look like a giant bonbon. And the smile in her powdered face was just as sweet, when she lowered her voice and gave her listeners a conspirational look.

"And did you know that Lord Herrington got his membership revoked from the Golden Cat Club? I have heard it personally from a good friend of mine who is by chance an acquaintance to one of the gentlemen in their higher management. It seems his status is not longer enough to make him a welcomed guest... I wonder who will be the first Lady to 'forget' to invite him to their dinner party!"

The Golden Cat Club? Now wasn't that a juicy topic for the elegant society and his mind instantly jumped back to his 'his' dragon. It had only been one week since he visited the great white beast in the catacombs under the mansion. If what he heard was true, most patrons had waited over a month to be invited to this special guest again and some never were. But Hazel had begun to think of the predator as his dragon.

"...no doubt it was all due to the recent crash of his coal-company. I heard the crises hit him pretty hard. He must have invested the larger part of his capital just before the stock dropped..", one of the gentlemen explained, but he was harshly interrupted by Lady Brittany. "Well I heard it was because he was not welcomed anymore after he lost his countenance last week and pressured one of the employees. You know, the one in the large apartment below the building?" Everyone nodded and the circle of voyeuristic guests seemed to close in around Miss Lollypop. "So I heard from my contacts, that he was a bit... overeager to make 'his' acquaintance. You all know how forgetful of his manners Lord Herrington can be at some times and clearly he couldn't take 'No' for an answer..."

The group chuckled in unison, but Hazel could clearly see the expressions of two of three men freezing, their fake smile hiding something something like an unwanted memory. 'They have met him and they also got rejected - but they would rather die than to admit it!' Well that lifted Hazel's mood! It was an open secret that most nobles seeked the company of professional escorts, male and female, and most of them were always looking for new thrills. So when he visited the dragon below the Golden Cat Club, he knew he wasn't the first men to approach the beast. It hadn't mattered to him in the beginning, but since then he could feel a jealousy growing stronger inside of him - now the thought of any of the men in front of him having their way with the dragon, or even one of the women seducing him made the corners of his mouth drop like a sack of cement. Seeing now that they obviously got rejected made his heart jump with joy.

The rest of the evening Hazel wandered from one conversation to the next, but it was all the same boring chat. Some Lord had insulted some other Lord over their last endeavor. Some Lady had an affair with someone. He had it all heard before. There was neither a business to be made nor any sympathetic individual to talk to, and so he emptied another two or three glasses of prickling champagne and called it a night.

The next morning he received a call that made him drop all of his daily appointments. The manager of the Golden Cat had invited him over. "There is an urgent matter that I'd like to discuss with you. It's about your last visit to our establishment. If you could find the time to visit us as soon as your appointments permit? I'd like to talk with you about your involvement in our businesses from this point on."

He didn't knew what to make of her words, other than that they had been spoken with a most secretive voice of an older women, perhaps in her fifties. All his questions about the reason for their invitation had been politely answered - without giving him any information - and in his head formed dozens of scenarios about the possible implications of that meeting.

Normally there would be no need for them to meet in person. And what was that notion about his last visit? Did they know what happened between him and the dragon? In any way it was not illegal in any way, so why should this be the topic of a conversation? Would they try to blackmail him? Or exclude him from the club like some other patrons in the recent past? But that wouldn't require his personal attendance in the manor. Then maybe they were about to pitch him some new beautiful guest or try to up-sell him some kind of premium membership?

When he arrived at the manor one hour later, the sky way almost black from a thundering storm and cold rain poured down on him as soon as he left his car. He tucked his collar up against the gusts of wind that lashed against his face. Running over the yard and through the garden he passed carefully arranged bushes and trees without giving them a glance. When he arrived at the large front door he was soaking wet and felt like he had been in the cold rain for hours instead of minutes.

Hazel quickly entered the manor and closed the heavy door behind him, shutting out the thunder and wind and rain and instantly it grew quiet around him. The entrance hall was warm and inviting as always, but right now he seemed to be the only visitor which underlined how large the lobby was. The whole manor was styled in a Victorian fashion. Dark wood dominated the furnishings and made the rooms both very cozy and very dark at the same time, especially on gloomy days like today when no light entered through the high windows. The lobby itself extended over two levels via two stairs right in front of him and the chandeliers were dimmed down to submerge the whole room in twilight.

Just when the wet bunny thought he was all alone in the mansion, a door to his left opened and a young man hurried towards him with short, quick steps. He turned out to be a rather cute fox boy with feminine features and a happy-go-lucky smile on his face. "Welcome to the Club, Sir. My name is Sebastian and I'm honored to welcome you to our humble establishment. May I offer you a dry towel or some hot wine to help against the cold?"

Hazel thankfully took the towel - it was warm and fluffy and just what he needed right now to wipe off the cold water from his face. All the while the fox gave him an attentive look and a coy smile. He wore the typical black suit of a butler, complete with waistcoat and tie, and perfectly tailored to reveal as much of his slim figure as possible. His tail swished from side to side in an excited but controlled manner. Hazel knew it must have been a part of his approach to seduce male patrons like himself. The shy fox that secretly wanted the patron to take the lead, push him into the pillows, rip off his clothes and pound his feminine ass.

"I'm here for a meeting with Miss Austen. Is she in the house right now? (Sorry Fox-boy, you're cute, but not today..)", he said while giving back the towel . "Yes she is. I'm instructed to lead you right to her office once you had the opportunity to freshen yourself up (She knows you're here and you're invited to play with me if you'd like, sweetheart)", the fox answered with the sweetest bat of his eyes . "That's very considerate, but I don't want to make Miss Austen wait longer than necessary. (Thanks for the offer, but I'm not up for sex right now)", Hazel responded. "Of course! You must still be cold from the rain. Would you like to change into something warmer? It would only take a minute of your time (How about a quickie then? Just pull down your trousers and let me take care of it...)". "Thank you, but I'm fine. Maybe I can enjoy the hospitality at some other time." "I understand", the fox giggled, "I would love to introduce you to all the interesting places in our manor then. Please follow me and I'll take you to Miss Austen's office right away."

He bowed lightly and turned around, leading the bunny through the door to the left and through the manor, all the while swishing his tail and shaking his ass suggestively. "Have you been to Miss Austen office before? This wing of the house is very lonely at this time of the day (We're likely to be alone if you change your mind and want to have a quick adventure...?)". Hazel was impressed about the tenacity of the young fox. His cute charm made him smile, but still he gave him a clear No as an answer until they arrived at the office.

Hazel knocked at the richly carved door. It didn't take more than a few seconds until it was opened. The person who opened it was a small women of some age, but she wore her wrinkles with the pride and dignity of someone who knew their path in life. She was wearing a conservative and inornate dress and Hazel couldn't see any jewelry on her, except for a plan silver collar that matched the black and grey of her costume.

"Ah, Mr. Hazel, how kind of you to visit us so soon" she said. Her voice was affected by her years, but her friendliness seemed honest. "You're surely wondering why I invited you here", she smiled, "it's about your last visit to our manor one week ago. I was of the impression you were in good spirits when you left our house, so it's my humble opinion that you have enjoyed the company of our special guest... yet you have not applied for a second visit. May I inquire if the dragon has given you any reason to be dissatisfied with his company?"

Hazel froze over those words. How could she put him in such a situation? Of course he wanted to visit him again. He knew how slim the chance was to get a date in the first place. And he was painfully aware that he hadn't even applied for the second date yet... wasn't even sure when and if he would be able to do so.

He gulped hard. "No you are right Miss Austen, I truly enjoyed my time with him. He was very.. courteous in his own way. So I'm not displeased in any way. In fact I would love to visit him again... the thing is... how can I put this? The donation that the club expects to receive this honor is fair, but at the moment I'm forced to invest most of my liquid funds in my own ventures... so...".

"...we take a shitload of money from you, that's what we do." The old women laughed amiably as she interrupted him, "Surprised to hear such uncouth words from a Lady? I didn't always belong to the high class. At some point I was just an ambitious women - and intelligent and beautiful if I might say so myself - carving out my place in the world... just like you. So how about we drop this act and talk to each other like normal people?"

"Well I... that's fine with me. You're right with what you've said. You guys are charging a small fortune for him. Honestly, I can't afford another visit. I hate to say so, but I don't know when I will be able to do so... " Up until now he managed to suppress the realisation that no matter how well he would do in life, even if he would be able to afford a second visit or even a third, only 24 hours later he would again feel the emptiness of leaving his friend behind, of closing the door before the friendly eyes of the white beast. It felt like someone had shoved a cold knife through his belly.

He felt the touch of Miss Austen's hand on his. The women had a knowing smile as she continued: "As it happens, Fenix also enjoyed 'your' company. I might even go as far as to say, that he has found a certain affection for you", she leered at the bunny, "It seems that after your visit he doesn't find as much joy in his attendees as before. We decided to cancel any commitments this week."

Hazel weighed every word carefully. Did he understand this correctly and the dragon did miss him? So much as to the point where the club had to send paying patrons away because he was likely to chase away every other person than him? That would be too sweet to be true. Might be a plot to tickle more donations out of him or.. 'Wait a minute' he thought.

"The dragon's name is Fenix?" He observed how Miss Austen's smile freezing for a split second, as if she was surprised by his question. "Yes it is", she answered then, "I assumed you already knew. A mistake on my part, I admit." "On my first visit I wasn't told about his name. And I never heard any other patron use it either... is it some kind of secret?", he asked innocently, although a suspicion took shape in the back of his mind. Why didn't anyone outside the manor knew about his name? With all the nobles that had visited him and all the rumors they loved to spread, why hadn't he at least heard about his one? Did the employees give him the name Fenix and only used it when talking among each other, or...

"Not exactly a secret, no", she continued, but the nervous undertone was still noticeable, "So as I've said, the dragon is not in a good mood in your absence. How would you feel about the opportunity to visit him again?" "Well, I'd like that obviously. But as we've found out, I can't afford it." "Oh don't think we have such rude intentions, dear. What I'm offering you is what you would call a free access to his chamber. You can come and go whenever you please, so long as you don't give Fenix any reason to sulk or bear a grudge and only as long as he allows to be visited, of course."

So it was true... Hazel could feel how his mouth formed a boyish smile and his heart began to beat faster. Yes he 'would' see his dragon again and earlier than he ever dreamt of hoping! He forced himself to keep as calm as he could and not dance with the Lady right away. Instead he asked: "Are you saying if I accept I can visit the dragon... Fenix as long as I like and all you want in return is for me to cheer him up and keep him company? I would like that very much, but what will happen after he's in a good mood again? Will you say 'Thank you! We look forward to receive your application and your donation for the next visit'? I know that what you're offering me is worth a fortune, but I don't know how I would feel about being used and then, when you feel like Fenix would receive other patrons again, be cast aside and restricted again like I was before."

"I cannot take that doubt of your shoulders, I'm afraid. In fact I cannot promise you anything. You see, right now he doesn't want to spend time with anyone but you. Who can say when and if that's going to change? What I'm offering you is that as long as you're welcome in his chamber, the Golden Cat Club will not charge you anything for your presence... I'm not sure I can say the same for Fenix though. He's quite possessive, you know? Maybe he won't let you go."

The last words were accompanied by a sly wink, but by then Hazel had already made his decision. Probably he would have done the same, whatever the old Lady would have told him. He grabbed her leathery hand with both of his own and grinned widely. "I accept! When can I visit him?" "Well," Miss Austen replied with honest relief on her face, "once you have let go of these old, fragile hand of mine, I had hoped."

...

"Judging by the look on your face, your meeting must have been successful?" Sebastian was at his side again. He must have waited somewhere near the office, for he appeared right away when Miss Austen called for him to lead Hazel to the chambers below the mansion. The bunny made himself walk slowly because the fox was strolling, too, but he would have preferred a brisk walk to reach his goal a minute earlier. Now they were finally on the underground floor, only a few step away from the dragons rooms.

"Yes! Yes, absolutely. Absolutely successful", Hazel replied and the fox boy giggled playfully, then pretended a pouting voice. "Oh well, the dragon it is, then. I had soo hoped you would reconsider and let me show you all the nice rooms of our mansion, but how can a poor little fox compete with a big, muscular hunter like him..." "Aww don't be sad", Hazel smirked. The fox was really cute, playing his role like that. His advances on the bunny actually seemed honest now. "I bet a handsome fox as you already has many suitors." "Well, maybe.. but spending time with a sexy cutie like yourself... Fenix sure is lucky, don't you think?" Hazel thought of his earlier conversation with the manager of the club and his doubts about the dragons name. He wondered if... "I hope you don't mind my curiosity, but when did Fenix ask for me to come back and what else did he say about me?" "When did he ask... I'm sorry but I don't know that. Such business related stuff he only talks over with the manager. The only stuff that I...", the fox interrupted himself when he realized the bunny had stopped in his tracks and stared at him in disbelief.

"So he TALKS!" The vulpines smile died instantly and he looked to left and right, as if he could find some magical escape route. "I..No! Well...yes, but..." "He really talks, right? If he talks to the manager and you, why hasn't anyone ever heard of it? Why doesn't he talk to anyone else? Why didn't he talk.. talk to me?" Hazel realized that now it was him looking from left to right, striding up and down the empty floor. He couldn't accept it. He had that suspicion. How could a brothel capture a dragon and keep him calm? And without chaos or bloodshed or anything? He felt wounded somehow. Suddenly he didn't know if any of what had happened before was true or if it had been some kind of game with him being the only clueless fool.

"Mr. Hazel... Mr. Hazel! Please listen a second", the fox said and Hazel realized he must have had addressed him a few times already, "I'm sure there's some explanation, okay? Look... Yes it's true, Fenix does talk. Sometimes he talks a lot! But most of the times he doesn't. Most of us here know about it, but Fenix has advised us not to spread the news. He doesn't like to talk to the rest of the world either. Or his patrons. I don't know about his reasons. All I know is that Fenix must like you a lot, because he has never, 'never' asked for any patron to visit him again. Maybe he wanted to tell you about it himself, but now I have messed things up..", the fox suddenly looked very sad. "Look.. I care about that dragon a lot and since you've been here he's not the same, so... I don't know what I'm trying to say here. Just don't be mad because a stupid fox like me has dropped the ball, okay? I'm absolutely sure Fenix didn't mean to deceive you or hurt you or anything."

Hazel had to put his hand on the vulpines head and tousle his hair to make him stop. It was true that the fact his dragon friend was much more of a person than an animal had surprised him and he felt half deceived that Fenix hadn't let him in on the secret. But he wanted to ask him about his reasons himself. When he remembered the warm look on the dragons face and his tender touches, he couldn't make himself belief that there were any bad intentions behind Fenix' act.

"It's okay, it's okay, just stop looking at me with those puppy eyes! I feel my heart breaking just by looking at you. Any longer and I have to start crying, you know", Hazel said. Then he braced himself and entered the chamber.

...

He found the dragon sitting in the middle of the dimly lit room, on the top of his round, red bed, just like on his first meeting. And again he felt frightened, but it was for a different reason. What would he say and what would happen then? Lost in his thoughts he approached the white hunter who was obviously excited to see him. The tip of his tail flicked around and the corners of his mouth looked like a wide smile to the bunny. But Hazel couldn't feel as much joy as he wanted right now.

Without undressing like the last time, he climbed onto the bed and sat down next to the dragon. And before Fenix could welcome him with a friendly lick, he blurted out his question, afraid he might not be able to ask it if he waited any longer.

"Fenix, you can talk, can't you? You can tell me. Sebastian dropped it", he saw how the predator's expression change. His eyes became somehow thoughtful but he didn't look away. "why didn't you tell me?"

The dragon made a noise that sounded like a sigh and when he heard his voice for the first time, it was low but not as deep as he had expected from such a big creature: "So, Sebastian told you then... I'm sorry you learned it this way, Hazel. It's true, I can talk. Are you angry now that you know it?"

"I'm not angry.. I'm... I don't know what I am. I thought I got to know you and we got along really good, I mean we got really close", he couldn't help but giggle at this paraphrase for the hot carnal sex they had, "I don't understand why you let me believe all this. I mean I.. Hey what are you...?"

While Hazel fumbled for words the dragon suddenly came closer, pushing the bunny onto his back with a gentle love tap of his paw, climbed over him and gave him a slow, wet lick from chin to forehead. "I was honest when we met. More honest than most people. I was simply me. Didn't my touches tell you how I felt just as good as any spoken word? I 'am' the feral dragon you have met..." He looked at Hazel from above, patiently waiting for his response and Hazel felt sinking into those deep, blue eyes again.

"Well, okay, I can accept that you didn't pretend", he felt the warmth of Fenix' chest pressing against his own, "but would you have talked to me eventually or would you have me remain clueless? And I still don't understand why you set up this act."

The dragon rubbed his head against Hazels hair and his paw wandered down his flanks, tugging at the fabric. "I would have told you... though I would have loved to wait a little longer. You're very cute, you know? The way you approached me. So obvious that you wanted to leap at me, yet so courteous and cautious to not get eaten", he chuckled, sending vibrations through Hazels body, "that's why I don't talk. I don't want you to hold back. You're honest with a beast, but would you be as straightforward if you thought about how I would judge your advances? If I might talk behind your back how horny and frisky you are? I like what you did and I didn't want you to stop."

That was something to think about. Now Hazel didn't know what to say. It was true, he didn't think about what others might think about him when he closed the door of the chamber behind him and was alone with the dragon. Thinking of the dragon as a feral animal had been frightening, exciting and liberating at the same time.

The dragon continued: "There's also the matter that having society find about me would make things a hundred times more difficult. You know how well people like to fuck a beast, but they wouldn't like the idea of treating one with equal measures. Everyone in this mansion is trustworthy, even if some of them are clumsy like Sebastian, but towards visitors I like to keep my mouth shut."

"Now that you know my reasons... please don't hold back in my presence. I like you ..a lot. Let's fool around naked and do it like animals. And fuck on the floor and explore everything we like without the stupid shame that humans like so much... I'll talk to you as much as you like if you promise me to treat me without reservations like on your first visit. You're a bunny and I'm a dragon and that's all. What do you say?"

Hazel looked at the dragons face for a moment that seemed to go on and on. Then he placed his hands on the cheeks of the white beast and drew him close to his face, giving him a slow, tender lick over his lips. This was the only right answer, he knew. When Fenix closed his eyes and parted his lips to return his kiss, his tongue met the long tongue of the dragon and their touch told him more than a hundred words.
