Simba's Training Day 1: Finding a place to stay

Lion King 1: Chapter 4: Simbas training: day 1
So here we go I'm gonna kick of Simbas diary with this once again this isnt like my usual writing but I promise once I get back on my feet it won't be long of.
It was a long journey and we just headed further south until it reached morning and my farther decided to rest on a tall rock.He told me to go run and find a place where we would be safe to stay that isn't to far and had to have certain properties like water near it bla bla bla.I didn't listen to him as usual but I knew what I needed to do.I walked off and found somewhere I could take a drink and rest.I found a nice watering hole under some palm trees so once I was fully refreshed I set off to find a nice place to spend the night.Upon leaving I took two palm leaves in my maw.I headed further away from my farther it took me about 6 or 7 minutes to get there.I crept inside and sniffed about checking there was no other inhabitants there.There wasn't any sign of anyone else living there so I checked the place in more detail.I set the palm leaves down and made myself comfy.I really could not be bothered to go searching for another place to stay as the journey already tired me out so I just returned to my dad thinking of answers of any questions my dad could have asked me when I got back.When I got back my dad was asleep so I started jumping on him.When he woke up I took him past the watering hole and into the cave. Once again he was giving me his lectures about being king and the important jobs I would have but I don't take much notice.I just normally sit there pretending I'm looking at him when really I look up passed his big bushy mane and at the clouds.When we got to the cave I was ready for any smart remark he gave me this time. "Good but you could have done a little better, it'll get quite chilly tonight, this cave is very open Simba" said my dad trying to out smart me."that's why I brought these from the watering hole back there" I explained holding two palm leaves in my smug maw. My father couldn't think of any words to say so he had to settle for "ok very well then." He always tried so hard to make me feel as if I hadn't done enough whenever he was giving me one of these lessons when frankly I can just never be bothered putting any effort in.I'm quite a lazy lion the only things I like doing when I'm not being lazy are racing and playing with Nala,other then that I just normally sun bathe. I can't believe I'm missing her already. Especially after that night, I feel like we have such a strong connection now that no one can break. I just can't wait to do it again.Oh well I'm not going home anytime soon so I best just think about her in my sleep instead because I'm getting tired.This is my first day of training to become a king and it has gone ok for now but I'm going to have a nap now so goodbye.
