This is a biography for one of my less seen, but equally detailed characters, a four armed, black scaled and haired Eastern Dragon, who I like to refer to as my character that 'Everybody can love to hate!'

Llijah was born into the heart of the communist workhorse that was China in the late 1970's. As a young lad, his parents told him great stories of the world beyond the borders of their glorious homeland, of democracy and freedom, and all that good nonsense. He lived a troubled childhood, often picking fights in school for no reason than to inflict pain upon the people he disliked, and as with many beings of his heritage, dabbled into long forgotten magics of necromancy and pyromancy, developing his own unique blend of the two in a twisted and corrupt perversion of the mystical arts. At the age of fifteen, he accompanied his parents to the student protests at Tienanmen Square, and arrived just before the situation went south.

When the People's liberation army rolled in, Llijah was separated from his parents, and after picking a fight with some of the soldiers sent to remove the protesters, he was shot in the upper left shoulder, and arrested, hauled away as a political dissident. Llijah was transferred under guard to the Xian Chan political Prison facility, high in the Chinese mountains, a facility notorious for having thousands go in, and only tens ever come out. Isolated, barren, and cold, it was a place people went to disappear from the eyes of the government, the media, and the world. While incarcerated, Llijah's reputation only grew more and more notorious, the dragon taking to adding a white tattoo 'scorecard' on his right upper shoulder for each guard, inmate, and worker he killed during his time there.

Magic, being far harder to control and regulate than say, a hidden knife an inmate might carry, only served to add to the dragon's notoriety within the facility. Every time a guard had to raise their rifle to Llijah, they would be found later as little more than a charred corpse, curled up and frozen screaming in agony where they had fallen. The prison was quick to develop a system of minimizing his collateral while government researchers studied him through the complex CCTV network monitoring the facility. He was kept in solitary confinement, surrounded on all sides by little more than cold, unforgiving Chinese cement and steel, with the occasional 'lab rat' being sent to deliberately pester him so he might display his rather unique talents

However, what could not have been known to the PLA guards at the facility was that thanks to some cruel trick of magic, each person they sent like a lamb to the slaughter was only increasing the Eastern Dragon's powers. Llijah himself wouldn't realize this until almost ten years of constant torture, starvation, freezing and interrogations later. When Llijah finally did escape during a rare period he was allowed from his cell, he ensured that no-one else would end up where he had. Twisted, enraged, and bitter to the world, he freed the select handful of prisoners whom he could consider 'trustworthy', before buring the entire facility to ashes, along with the remaining guards and inmates still trapped inside. The official PLA explanation was a 'catastrophic gas line failure', and while rushing workers to control the blaze, also dispatching several units of PLA airborne infantry to scour the hillsides for the escaped convicts.

Llijah and his group evaded capture for the rest of the year, moving from village to village, and arming themselves whenever they could get the drop on their pursuers, becoming something of a roaming band of rebels, striking at isolated and key PLA facilities whenever the opportunity arises.

Llijah is a sociopath and a Masochist in their most chaotic and pure forms. He personally gives nobody the benefit of doubt, and takes great pleasure in making his victims suffering and anguish last as long as possible before ending their lives. His mind is twisted and warped to the point it is nigh on impossible to predict how he will react to any given situation, but a safe assumption that it will likely end badly. When he is calm, he is calculating and precise, and a strategic genius, holding a notoriously high IQ and remarkably quick reflexes. He keeps a collection of 'trophies' from all of his kills since his escape, and the scorecard on his shoulder now extends to his lower back, numbering in the hundreds.

With each life he ends, thanks in part to his dabbling in Necromancy, Llijah's prowess with magic grows, the 'spirit' of each life ended at his paws becoming trapped along with all the others, forced to add their reserves of energy to his pool that he draws on. His favorite techniques involve using a form of green fire, cool to the touch, but with the same effects that one would get from an actual flame. He has also managed to work some of his skills into illusion magic, and is more than apt at rendering himself all but invisible to the naked eye, a skill he uses frequently for ambushes in the highlands.

He has very little regard to the wants of others, focusing almost entirely on himself, and committing atrocities not limited to murder, rape and torture, both of combatants and innocents. He gains pleasure from people's anguish, and will often lets comrades watch on as he rapes his victims before finishing them off with his sidearm once he's done with them.

There isn't much Llijah enjoys more than causing suffering... In his spare time however, he is known for tinkering with fine tuned machines, his rifles, watches, electronics and the like. He likes to know how things work, and a lot of that includes the human mind, and he often poses difficult or disturbing questions and scenarios to his subordinates in order to gauge their responses and loyalty. He rarely lingers in one place for more than a few days, constantly moving, ever luring his opponents into traps. He refuses to back down, and is intent on destroying the lives of those who destroyed his, by any means necessary, regardless of the price to himself or others.
