The Third installation of the Parenthetical from The Jaiyan Scroll
The ground seemed to resonate with acute phosphorescence as he touched down. Vaskorian Looked around as the gate dematerialized and stood from his kneeling position his eyes twisting and pupils triplicating as he examined the environment around him, the black buildings and roads an eerie quiet despite the large ebony tower in the horizon that seemed to loom ominously into the sky.
He brought his wrist to his mouth and pulled back his sleeve with the opposing arm, revealing the small device underneath,
"Chuck, where am i?" The device emitted a short vibration as the message was transferred. Vaskorian took a few steps down the road toward the tower in the distance, his footsteps leaving resonating phosphorescent shapes behind him. The watch pulsed and the ear piece crackled to life,
"You're about twenty kilometers away from his signal Vask, Go ahead and keep in the direction you're heading and be ready, there's a few Renegade Shadiim heading toward you"
Vaskorian scoffed and brought the watch up once more "Any chance of avoiding conflict?" he asked as the phosphorescent steps he had left behind began to turn red and emit a pulsing high pitched frequency. He furrowed his brow and continued "apparently not, update me on coordinates when i get closer to him" the watch buzzed as the transmission sent. Vaskorian immediately broke into a run toward the tower, his footsteps now leaving the shapes of arrows pointing toward him.
As he ran the shrieks of the shadiim arose from all directions "dammit!" Vaskorian spat, his triplicate pupils spinning as he filled with a mix of rage and fear. He threw his arms down to his sides and clenched his fists, forcing the SMTECH braces to lock around his fists. he quickly opened up the pistols and let them charge, the shadiim now visible behind him, their formless bodies quickly gaining.
