Zodiac - Virgo

_"No."

"What do you mean, no?"

"Just what it sounds like, no."

"You're treading on dangerous ground here, you realize. I could throw you in court for obstruction of justice, for collaborating with terrorists, and for being an associate to mass murder."

"None of those would stick and you know it."

"It doesn't matter if they'd stick or not, we'd keep throwing things at you until something did. And then we'd leave you in that jail and just watch what happened to you next."

"I cannot reveal the location of my employee because I do not know it myself. I don't even know where the meeting point was to be, only her camera team and her knew that. This was her idea and her plan and honestly I wasn't going to be able to stop her."

"We're going to need everything that you've got, now."

"I can't do that."

"Why not?"

"Because, you see, he HAS her too. If we go back on our side of the deal, her life is forfeit. We keep our side, he keeps his, she returns safe and sound."

"And you seriously think we will let you air this terrorist's filth?"

"Neither you or we have a choice in that matter either. Nor does it matter, it is going to go out in multiple forms anyway, we will not be the only source. Maybe this interview will give you an insight or two into the way he thinks, make it easier for you to catch him."

"You are not going to get away with this, we'll see to that!"

"We'll see, we'll see."

The body lay on the slab, the air was frigid around it. "Subject is female, seventeen years old, approximately five feet one inches tall and weighing in at eighty six pounds. Subject appears to be a mouse, which DNA results will confirm. Apparent cause of death is shown as asphyxiation, though there is severe chemical decomposition from digestive acids."

A sharp click followed as the tape recorder was shut off. The doors banged open as a pair of gentlemen in white coats brought in yet another body. "From the latest video, I hope you didn't know her."

"The one that was..."

"Yep". The rest are going to the other morgue. Find out anything so far?"

"Other then he's keeping us busy?" the female squirrel sighed and looked over the body laid out on the slab. "Not much, plenty of DNA, nothing to connect it to. Whatever it is, he does have flair..." she waved the men, "place it with the rest. This just became a long night."

The two detectives stormed out of the office building and ran strait into the gathered crowd. It was hard to tell which parts of the crowd wanted the cheer the news agency and which parts were there to tear it down, but the energy in the air crackled almost like electricity. The crowd shouted and waved signs of all kinds, held back by a struggling line of police in riot gear.

"Detective," a junior officer said, running up to him. "We don't know how long we're going to be able to contain this if we don't get some reinforcements."

Slowly the man reviewed the scene in front of him, then shook his head. With a smile down at the younger man he said, "You know what I need son? I need a good, stiff drink."

"Sir?" the young officer asked.

"Everyone here needs a drink," the detective said. Nodding to the line he continued, "Gather them all up, and let's go."

"Sir, the crowd-"

"-is the problem of the TV agency now. Let's go."

"Yes sir."

Moments later the line broke, officers falling back, and with a roar the crowd rushed the barricaded doors of the building.

The news program began. A symbol faded into existence with twelve other symbols circling around it. Overlaid over the top of all of that was a single word. "Zodiac" The spinning symbols stopped and the sixth symbol came to the foreground before fading away._

"We are broadcasting today from an unknown location, bringing you an exclusive story on the man only known as Zodiac," she said. She was not too tall, not too short. A slim build, but not a super model. A modest bust wrapped in a feminine suit and brushed to perfection. A squirrel, her tail was perfectly brushed and perfectly arched behind her, resting over the arm chair she was sitting on.

She turned to the wolf sitting across from her, his face blurred slightly to make it unrecognizable. "Shall I call you something other then Zodiac?" she asked.

"No, I think that Zodiac will work well," he responded, his voice smiling.

"Well then, I must say that you have created quite a cult following for yourself, Mister Zodiac. Your videos are known across the internet and your name is almost a household word."

"Well," he said laughing quietly, "if it isn't yet, it will be after this showing, won't it?"

"You may think so, yes."

"There are many questions that people have," she continued, "and I'm hoping that we can answer a few of those questions this evening."

"That is why you asked for the interview, yes," he responded. "I feel that everything that needs to be said is contained in the artwork that I present. But, if it satisfies the curiosity of the public I will be pleased to answer a few questions tonight."

"The biggest question that of course is being asked is why. Why are you creating and releasing these videos of you brutally killing young woman?" She leaned forward, looking intent and unafraid.

The wolf paused before audibly smiling. "Art. There are those who create great sculptures out of stone or metal or wood. Others paint pictures with oils and colors. Some sing, some dance, some tell stories with words and pictures. This is my artwork, the chance for me to display my own unique creativity to the world."

Unsurprised by the answer she continued, "And what kind of creativity is that?"

"A moment, frozen in time. Each and every video contains a moment. Without the rest of the video, without the situation that my canvas is in, without the reality of the scene, that moment would never come to light."

"So it is for this moment as you call it that you are inflicting so much pain?" she asked, trying to draw more of an answer out of him.

"Let's go back to the third video and the Samantha subject," he said, waving his hand to a screen off to the left. On it a video clip began playing as the mouse was slowly being devoured by the snake.

There was one point where he froze the playback where the mouse's eyes opened and looked right at the camera, the afterglow of climax warring with the fear in her eyes and the snake's jaws wrapped around her body.

"Here is what I feel is one of the most perfect moments. You see her eyes, the pleasure that she is felling and the fear in her eyes. The pain and the lust, and the confusion. This is the artwork that I seek to capture, and you can only do so in a real situation. This is not something that an actor can fake."

"You feel no sympathy for the individuals that you put into these life threatening situations, or the ones that you have killed?" she asked.

"One of the benefits of being enveloped by your work is small issues and moral dilemmas like that fall into the shadows and are lost. I am focused completely on my work."

The squirrel crossed her legs and said, "Let's look at a different question. Your targets seem as varied as imaginable, why is that and how do you select your candidates?"

"In answer to the question on variation I try to fit the individual to the situation they are to be placed in. Naturally with the Samantha subject we needed someone small, erotic, and youthful. For the last subject I needed someone with fire, strength, and lasting power."

"You're speaking of Linda Northern, the police officer you executed," she commented.

"Yes. It helped that the police offered her so kindly to me."

"Along that line, the police had you in custody and you had agreed to turn yourself in if she survived the incident. And yet you obviously escaped. How did you do so and why, after making your promise, did you leave?"

"Well, how requires quite a bit of help and work from my ghosts. For the why, she died. And once she died my contract was completed so I took my leave of custody."

"Those 'ghosts', they are the albino felines who work with you on these videos?"

"Yes, I call them my ghosts. But they are not up for discussion at this time. Maybe next interview."

There was a moment of silence as she looked through her cards before moving onto the next question. "How long do you plan to continue these slayings?"

"I have several more planned, though it all depends on how long it takes before I am caught. I am not seeking to be caught, despite what police physiologists may be saying publicly. But, eventually, when my set is complete and all my art is finished I will probably retreat again for meditation."

"There are some," she lead off into another question, "that simply call you a sadist and a psychopath, what would you reply to that?"

He sat back and smiled, shaking his head. "There is no way to answer that that will answer their questions. Let me ask you this question in return. Have you ever held someone else's life in your hands?"

"Excuse me?" the squirrel said.

"Have you held someone's life in your hand, having control whether they breathed another breath or died. Have you ever directed someone's existence with the touch of your hand?"

"No, I do not think I have."

"Very few people get that opportunity. Doctors do. Judges and jury's do, sometimes. Police, firefighters, all these people and many others hold others lives in their hands. And, tonight, so will you."

"I don't think I understand," she said, looking first confusedly at him before looking at the leader of her camera crew. The wolf stood and motioned her to follow.

The camera crew had to scramble to follow, the camera jostled as they moved the stand. And, along the far side of the room, a pair of curtains opened.

"Oh my gods," the squirrel said, staring.

"Becky here is actually a volunteer, believe it or not. She posted repeatedly on several forums that she wanted to participate in my videos. Sadly I think she meant that she would assist... and not have a video made of her."

'Becky' was a teenage cheetah girl, held up spread eagle on a wheel, her arms and legs pinned down with thick metal clasps. She was naked and displayed, her perky breasts showing with youth and her body that slim beauty that is so often lost once age takes effect on the body.

Her tear marks on her cheeks were marked with real tears, her cheeks matted with them. "p-p-please, he-help me," she said, her body shuddering.

"What are you going to do," the squirrel asked, shock on her face.

"The wheel that you see there has affectionately been nicknamed 'the meat puller'. You see, all her fingers are attached to it, as are her wrists, elbows, toes, ankles, knees, etc. Each and every joint is attached to the machine. And, when it is activated it will then begin to pull, starting at the outer edges first. I'm sure that you've heard of the old practice of being 'drawn and quartered'. Well, we're going to be working on much smaller change then quarters."

"All your videos have a game though, what is it that you're playing with her?" the squirrel asked, trying to regain her composure and overcome her shock.

"The game this time is you," the wolf said, smiling, before walking away. "Becky's life is in your hands. You may do with her as you please, until the machine kills her. There is one condition. She will be released if she can reach climax. And you are the only one that will be able to save her life."

The squirrel's face went through a number of emotions, starting with surprise and ending with shock. "Me?"

Dropping into the armchair, lounging casually, the wolf smiled. "Yes, you. If you can use your tongue successfully enough our dear girl there will be set free with nothing more then a bad scare and a story none of her friends would believe."

"But, I don't, why," the reporter asked, her thoughts jumbled like a derailed train's cars, slamming into each other. Shock finally led to anger and she stated, "I have a family, a husband."

"And you are religious, you have never cheated, you were a 'cold fish' in college, and you have shown no preference towards female company, yes I know all of this," the wolf stated casually, looking at her.

It would later be stated that his eyes, always hidden from the camera, were the most dangerous part of his body. He smiled at her and that smile never reached those cold eyes.

"If you were interested in girls it would be too easy. If she meant something to you, it would be too easy. You see, this is the artwork of it all."

"I don't understand," she said, now confused.

The wolf pushed himself out of the armchair, almost leaping, and strode over to the squirrel in fast steps. Grabbing her roughly he turned her around to face the cheetah girl. "Look at her."

She almost repeated, "I don-" before he stopped her roughly.

"LOOK at her. Look at her closely. Watch her eyes as she watches you. Do you see that need? She is begging you. She wants you, for no other reason then she knows that her life is moments away from being over. Her body is aching for you, she is on fire with fear and excitement. She is on the edge of exploding and she doesn't even know why she is feeling the way she does."

He took a step back, leaving the reporter wavering there. "In four minutes the machine will begin to pull. It won't be fast. It will move an inch, then two inches, then four, until finally it tears her limb from limb. You have four minutes. Her life is yours, to do with as you will."

"P..p.. pl... please," the cheetah girl begged, barely squirming against her bonds. She swallowed again and gasped out, "Please! H..help me! I.. I'll do anything, just please!"

All it took was a gentle push from the wolf's hand and the squirrel reporter stumbled closer. She reached up, touching the girl's belly, stroking down it to see if she was real. The belly fur was so amazingly soft, she could imagine cuddling up against it forever.

Her gaze traveled upwards to those firm, pert breasts, nipples poking through the fur with either excitement or terror, her racer's heart pounding at a hundred beats a minute inside her chest. Then her gaze went down. An idle part of her mind noticed the girl before her was shaved and asked itself if the wolf did that, or if it was something the girl did on her own.

Zodiac watched as the squirrel knelt down and brought her lips forward, touching first the belly, then to the delicate, black skinned folds of the cheetah. A smile crossed his face, capturing the ecstasy and terror on the girl's face. Above both there heads a clock began to count down.

At first she didn't know what to do. She had never given oral to a female. She had never even given oral to a male. She pushed her muzzle down and was surprised by both the smell of cherries and the perfect smoothness of the skin that her lips found. There was another scent, sweet and tangy and salty at the same time, the cheetah girl's excitement.

Her tongue sneaked out, just to get a better taste of this strange new flavor, and whatever it was that she did, it seemed to be doing well for the cheetah. She licked, then lapped, working her tongue about to try and just lick that bald spot. A blush came to her cheeks as she realized what it was that she needed to do.

Murmuring under her breath she said, "Don't worry, I'll get you out of here," before licking upwards through those petals and dragging along the girl's hood firmly. It was hard to tell if the girl was in pain or in pleasure from the way that she gasped and her hips bucked, tears still dripping down her cheeks.

It was the "Three minutes," that threw her off of her pattern and dragged her back into reality. The moment lost she looked up at the crying girl in both surprise and shock, before trying to get back to her oral. The momentum was lost as well though and the girl's body wracking sobs kept distracting her.

"What's your name," she finally asked to try and distract the girl.

"Becky," she said, choking back a sob.

"Well Becky, I need you to focus on what I'm doing here. I'm going to get you out of here, okay?"

"O-okay," Becky said, her tears quieting for a moment.

"Let me know what I'm doing right, and I'll do that." And she dove back down, licking hard up the girl's cleft.

She didn't need the cheetah girl to say anything to know that that was the right thing to do. Her tongue, long enough to be useful, lashed through those petals over and over again. The flavor grew stronger and she felt the petals become flushed, showing her growing excitement.

"Oh gods," the cheetah girl exclaimed, trying to push her hips forward for more attention, "just... right there, keep going. It's good."

Zodiac glanced over at the camera crew and chuckled. All male except for one female, their attention was riveted. He nodded over and said, "Surely you can get a better shot closer, can't you?"

"Are you sure that we can?" one badger asked, glancing over briefly but then glancing back. He didn't want to miss a moment of the action.

"I'm sure," the black wolf said, smiling. "Go get an eyeful, and make sure that you get a good shot to remember it by." His own crew of ghostly white felines were about the room, taking their own shots with camera's.

"That is..." the camera man said, eyes glued to the scene.

"Hot, yes, I know. And it gets better."

"You mean," the badger said, trailing off once more.

The wolf just smiled.

"I'm close," the cheetah said, panting hard. She was dripping, her body sweating despite the cooler air, her breasts heaving as she tried to draw in breath. She laid her head back against the wheel and tried to bring herself closer... but something was blocking her mind.

Unbidden the videos that she watched came up, a girl drowning in the tank, getting swallowed by the snake, that last moment of climax before the bunny exploded. She felt the rumblings in her belly start, working their way up her spine.

It was at that moment, the point where it built in her stomach, a fire ready to explode outwards, that the almost silent click of the wheel was an echoing sound that filled the room.

The timer had hit zero.

"Oh gods," she cried softly, the squirrel tongue buried in her body, finally licking just the right spot.

And then it began.

"Now," was all that Zodiac said, looking forward, watching intently the scene in front of him.

The camera crew watched, only instincts keeping their hands in position and the film rolling.

She heard the click and tried to ignore it, tried to push it as far out of her mind as she could. She knew what it was, but she could not accept it. Her tongue dipped into the cheetah's honey again and again, trying to bring out that last bit of pleasure before tumbling her into climax.

There was a creak, then a groan, and the first section of the wheel moved. The cheetah bit clean through her lip, head tilted back, eyes squeezed shut to block out the pain. It was over in a moment, blood dripping from stumps where there used to be fingertips and toes. The bands that encircled her wrists and ankles had cut down into the flesh, making sure that she would not bleed out before it was over.

"Go, please, go," the cheetah girl begged, her hips twitching, "I... close... come!" the pain was great, but she was locked in that sensation, so close to a climax that had been so long in coming.

The squirrel nodded once and thrust her tongue deeply into the girl again, trying as hard as she possibly could. Her jaw cramped her fingered cramped, her neck hurt, but she could almost taste the girl's climax, hiding out there on the edge.

There was another click and she heard the cheetah howl above her, hands separated from arms, feet pulled from legs. She cried out, "Gods!" and arched, her chest and belly pushed forward, head tilted back.

Sensing something the reporter lifted her head, licked hard against the girl's pussy, then captured her clit between her lips and sucked. And, when she felt it was right... she bit down, hard.

It happened at the very moment that her forearms were separated from the upper arms, and her legs were jerked away at the knees. The fire that had been building in her belly for so long rose up like an inferno and crashed into her, exploding in every direction imaginable. She screamed out in pleasure and in pain, her mind and body disappearing into white hot sparks.

Things were speeding up. No sooner had the outer limbs been removed and the bands clamped down to prevent blood loss did the next group start to pull. Arms and legs were torn from their sockets, leaving the cheetah in one quivering mess of simply a torso and no other limbs. She was so lost in her climax that she could hardly think, or even feel the pain.

"I'm sorry," the squirrel was saying, kneeling there with her hands on the cheetah's amazingly soft belly, trying to comfort her. "I'm sorry, I couldn't..."

"It's okay, the girl gasped, eyes still closed. "It's okay, I'm okay... oh gods..."

There was another resounding click and before the squirrel's horrified eyes the cheetah's body was pulled in all four directions at once. She gave one last gasp, her eyes widening, before being torn into four pieces. Guts poured out upon the squirrel's body and lap, blood sprayed everywhere, and in a heartbeat she was drenched.

Bile rose in her throat, but there was nothing she could do yet, too horrified to move. The body above her, what was left of it, blinked once, then twice in surprise, before finally going still.

A canine paw rested on her shoulder and a voice that spoke nothing but evil said softly in her ear, "that is what holding someone's life in your hands is like. You did a wonderful job of killing her."

Tears streamed down her cheeks and she stood up, wobbled, made it a couple of steps, then fell to her knees and vomited noisily.

The camera faded away, went to black, before the beginning Zodiac symbol faded back onto the screen.

_"They're unharmed?"

"They're back at least, I don't know if I would say unharmed. None of them will talk about it at all, it's like they pretend that the last six hours don't even exist. And Laura, she won't even talk. They had to take a hose to her to get her to even respond. She needed it too, being covered with-"

"But they are unharmed. He released them and didn't do anything to them, just as he promised."

"I'm surprised too, but yeah, he did."

"Amazing, I didn't think she would be able to do it."

"What about the building?"

"The fire destroyed floors one through five, and the mob took out everything up to floor seven. We've probably got three dead, a dozen injured, and who knows how many of that mob were killed when the fire broke out."

"Hardly seems worth it."

"It is worth it. Our ratings are unbelievable; people are snatching up this stuff like its candy. Insurance will cover the rest of it, and we've paid our dues to the devil. We don't have to worry about him coming after us."_

"But there's still Laura, is she going to recover?"

"She's going to have to if she wants to keep her job."

"She did have one thing to say, before they took her in."

"Oh? What was that?"

"Never again."
