#20 of A trainer's story

To bond with You even more

(A continuation from last time)

...

"You're not the only one who falls in love with a pokemon - I was also mated with Latios."

Jake looked like he had just been slapped in the face, "You and that Latios are...what?"

Jaden couldn't help chuckling, "You look shocked...for a guy who just admitted that he hooked up with a male Lucario."

"But...it doesn't make any sense!" Jake exclaimed, "Latios is a legendary...I thought pokemon like him would never fall in love, left along with a human."

As soon as he heard that, Jaden bursted out laughing. Jake's face immediately glowed bright red as the trainer wondered if he had just said something incredibly stupid.

It took a while for Jaden to finish his laughters, and when he did, his stomach was still aching a little, "Sorry! It's just...you sound exactly like I did when Latios confess to me." His voice then became solemn, "However, I really don't like what you said, because I too, had almost hurt Latios for saying something similar once before. What's the big deal about being a legendary? Honestly, I think people give them that fancy title because they are either too rare or powerful. Latios doesn't like it, and he hates receiving special treatment from others."

"Why?"

"Can't you get it?" Jaden said, his voice cracked and filled with bitterness, "Because of that legendary tittle, Latios is always targetted by greedy jerks who want to capture and use him for their own gain. As much as he hates those bastards and wants to kick their pitiful arses, Latios can't bring himself to harm human. In the end, his only option was to travel rentlessly, to suffer from loneliness. Why can't the world be fair with him for just once?

And then, he found me. The moment when I first looked at Latios, my heart was attracted to his beauty and kindness. During our time together, he showed me many things, sides that I'd thought never existed in me, how to become a better person. And that's when I realized...perhaps my feelings for him had already run deeper than friendship."

Jake listened in complete silence, his mind working extra hard to digest the idea of a legendary falling in love with a human.

"Jeez, you really are hopeless!" Jaden thought aloud when he notice the silly look on Jake's face. He sighed, reaching for his belt and pulling out a pokeball, "Fine. If you want a proof so badly, how about I show it to you?"

"Latios, I need a favour from you." Jaden murmured. The ball opened, from which a crimson energy beam bursted out and quickly materialized into a jet-like, draconic figure.

Jaden leaned towards Latios and whispered something to his ears. The Eon pokemon seemed to be surprised, and Jake could have sworn he saw him blush, although the trainer still didn't have a clue about what Jaden and Latios were schelming.

When they had finished with the talking, Jaden and Latios started to get closer to each other. Jake blushed and turned away as he thought they were about to kiss, but the couple stopped when their foreheads touched each other's, both with their eyes shutted tightly. Latios emitted a visible white aura that quickly enclosed himself and Jaden. Again, Jake couldn't figure out what the two in front of him were doing. They stayed head-to-head for about a minute before parting.

Chills ran down Jake's spine when he noticed both Latios and Jaden were staring at him. Jaden asked with a devilish smile on his face, "You're ready?"

Jake didn't have time to reply. Latios' eyes glowed crimson, and the trainer felt like he was being hypnotized. A relaxing and light floaty sensation coaxed his body.

Images flashed through his mind. He saw Jaden being chased by a pack of angry Mightyena to the edge of a cliff. His only option to stay alive was to jump onto the sea. The cold waves slashed against his body, trying to submerge him into the deep, freezing darkness, until a pair of warm, feathered arms pulled him away from the grasp of Death.

When Jaden first met Latios, he was immediately fascinated by the pokemon's beauty. How could such a pure and gentle soul exist? Yet, the answer was right in front of him...He had fallen in love with Latios.

When Latios confessed his feelings for Jaden, he had returned it with equal passion. He had found the one and only soulmate he wanted to be with for the rest of his life. He had experienced heaven on Earth. He wanted that moment to last forever.

The night when Latios made that genuine wish to the shooting star, Jaden was so touched that it moved him to tears. When they returned to Jaden's home, he bravely unveiled his feelings for Latios and defended it in front of his parents. His eyes showed no doubt or fear, only a sheer determination to remain with his mate, no matter what happened.

Every time Jaden won a battle, Latios would smile and tell him how proud the Eon pokemon was, then reward him with a tender kiss. Everytime he got upset, Latios would embrace him and whisper words of encouragement to his ears. Together, there was no obstacles that they couldn't overcome...

Jake continued to see pictures from Jaden's point of view...and they were shocking, beyond anything he had ever imagined.

"What...was that?" Jake stammered as the slideshow in his head finally ended and Latios' eyes returned to normal.

"My proof." Jaden replied calmly, his hand scratching Latios' chin, earning a sound with was the combination of cooing and purring from the Eon pokemon, who had his eyes closed and enjoyed the gentle treatment, "Being semi-pyschic, Latios has the ability to share his vision or memories with anyone by transmitting them through minds. He's also able to receive memories from certain individuals if he's allowed, but physical contact is required for that. Just now, I have him absorb mine and transfer it to you."

"But...why did you go that far?"

"Because I want to point out a huge flaw in your relationship Lucario." said Jaden sternly, "You see: just like you, Latios and I have always kept our love a secret, cuz I know not everyone accepts this kind of relationship, but I'm not afraid of coming out. If I can't hide it anymore, then I won't, I'll face anything the world throws at me, as long as I have Latios. You, on the other hand, seem to consider this kind of relationship an embarassment, and refuse to embrace the truth even when you know that others are aware of it. Please don't mind me being straight, but I think you're kinda faking something."

Jaden had might as well stabbed him with a rusty dagger, because it would have hurted Jake less than what he had just said, and that pain was quickly replaced by a blood-boiling anger. Of all the people Jake had met, Jaden sure had earned the badge of honor for being the only person that had ever managed to piss him off so much in such a short time.

Then again, Jake knew Jaden had the right to jugde him, after everything he and Latios had been through together. Jake hated to admit, but he was envious of how close they were to each other. That was how you were _supposed_to love someone: By taking but also giving back. Latios cared for his mate and would never let anything harm him physically, while Jaden had always protected the Eon pokemon mentally.

What about him and Lucario? True, he had saved the pup from his abusive trainer, but what else had he ever done for Lucario? The aura pokemon always tried to make him happy, and had Jake been repaying hin? Yes, by hurting the pup's feelings time and time again. He looked at Lucario, sleeping almost like an angel, the pup's chest moved up and down steadily on his lap, and guilt flooded his stomach.

Jaden must have noticed how Jake felt, and smiled, "Take it easily pal. Instead of blaming yourself, trying thinking about Lucario and how to value his feelings, because I know that guy..." he paused and pointed at the aura pokemon, "...love you more than his own life." He yawned tiredly, "Yah, I'm beat. Do you mind if we...errr, sleep here?"

Jake simply nodded, not bother to say anything else. Having been given approval, Jaden immediately laid on the couch with Latios on top of him, proving warm and pleasantness (That position looked uncomfortable, but Jaden was used to it, and Latios was surprisingly light for someone of his size). They tried not to act too intimately in front of Jake, but that mutual feeling seemed difficult to surpass.

Soon, the pair rejoiced in a peaceful slumber, leaving Jake alone to think about himself and Lucario.

(The next morning)

Jake felt asleep at some point of the night.

The trainer woked up in a pleasant sensation of a warm, silky blanket over his body. He rubbed his eyes and scanned the surrounding. Jaden and Latios had already gone, and Lucario was nowhere to be found.

"Hey Lucario, are you in the bathroom?" Jake called, but there was no answer. This irritated him a little, "Aw man, where could that pup have gone to?"

Just when he was about to go out and search for Lucario, the door creaked open, and a certain aura pokemon walked in.

"Oh, good morning Jake."

"Good morning? Where in the world did you disappear to?" Jake scolded, "Do you have any idea how worried I was?"

"S-sorry!" Lucario stammerd, "I just wanted to go for a walk with you, but when I woke up, you were still sleeping, so I thought it would be okay if I go alone..." he didn't have the chance to finish, as Jake suddenly pulled him to a tight hug.

"Never, I repeat, never go anywhere without me again. That's an order." Jake whispered.

Lucario found himself smiling, "Yes, master.". He made the word 'master' sound extremely flirty, almost like he meant it in a sexual way. Although he wasn't interested in roleplay, Jake couldn't help blushing a little. He stroke the pup's head, "Good boy. Oh, did you, by any chance, see Jaden and Latios when you woke up?"

"Them? Nope, but...what do you mean_by the chance_?" Lucario asked, tilting his head, "Were they here last night?"

"Yeah. Actually it was me who asked them to stay, because there're...uhm, a couple of things that I wanted to ask Jaden. Come here and sit down, I'll tell you." said Jake as he pulled Lucario to the couch.

The trainer begam to inform Lucario about everything Jaden had said to him the night before, including the creation myth and the birth of Mega pokemon (but he left out the heartful topic about love they'd had afterward).

Lucario frowned when Jake mentioned Arceus, his mind working fast to put the pieces together: The crazy dream about Arceus and its 'Chosen Ones' crap, the voice in his head when he transformed and Jaden's story, it all made sense to him now.

"That was a ridiculous tale, right?" Jake concluded, chuckling, "But somehow it sounded so...real to me in the first place. Perhaps I really had gone crazy after watching you change into that new form."

His voice was sad, maybe a little bitter. Lucario wanted to say something to comfort his mate. However, before he could say anything, Jake took his paw and squeezed it gently, "But I don't mind being a little crazy, as long as my mate...this cute pup right here, don't mind too." he smugged

Lucario blushed so hard that he thought he was getting a fever. Something was definitely wrong here. Jake, being this corny? Really?

Still, what was wrong with being a little romantic towards your mate? And it would be an utter lie if Lucario said he wasn't happy to receive that kind of affection from Jake, because clearly, he was.

"Not to worry. Pup will always be there to prevent his crazed master from doing anything foolish." Lucario mused, grinning.

Their little romantic moment would have last much longer if it hadn't been for the noises of Lucario's growling stomach. The aura pokemon blushed again, this time out of embarassment.

"Heh, look like someone's hungry?" said Jake, in a slightly mocking manner.

"Sorry..." Lucario replied timidly, "It seems changing into that Mega form has really taken a serious toll on my body."

"Nah, it's okay. Let's grab something to eat, then check on Ryan to see if he's ready for our next gym battle. I'm sure Jaden must have returned the citizens' pokemon to Gardenia by this time. She won't have any excuses to run away from our challenge."

"Uhm."

"And one last thing..." Jake said, grabbing the mega stone which was on the nightstand and handed it to Lucario, "From now on, this belongs to you. Well, it was yours to begin with, but I'll try to come up with something so you could keep it all the time. I'm thinking a collar, but it'll make you look like my pet, and like I said before...I don't treat pokemon as pets, especially someone as important as my mate. Beside, don't you think it'd be quite uncomfortable eating or drinking with a collar?"

Lucario shivered as he imagine himself with a collar. It might sound bizzare, but he actually liked that idea, because it would prove that Jake completely owned him, his life, his heart, his body...everything about him. The trainer might want to treat him as equal, but Lucario had always thought of himself as the submissive one. And...he blushed at the lusty thought, but how great it would be if they had sex with him wearing a collar? He loved the way Jake dominated him and ravaged his body when they first made love, and he knew that sensation would greatly intensify with the help of a collar, a collar to remind Jake who he was screwing, and to remind Lucario that he belonged to the young trainer, in every way possible.

"A...a collar is fine with me." Lucario suggested, trying not to drool of the (extremely) erotic scenario of mating with his sexy trainer with a collar around his neck.

"Nah, I suddenly don't like that idea anymore. Perhaps a necklace or bracelet will do it just fine."

"But..."

"No but. Remind me again, why do you want that collar so badly? We're wasting time on a freaking stupid topic. Let's just go out and find something to eat. Didn't you said you were hungry?"

Lucario wanted to talk back, but he couldn't defy his trainer, and Jake had also reminded him that his belly was screaming desperately for food.

~ Ryan ~

Ryan sat with Charizard at a table in the Pokemon Center's cafeteria, both munching on grilled cheese sandwiches, but Ryan's eyes were glued to his pokemon.

After a long and tiring battle against team Galactic the night before, Ryan had wanted to spend the next day just being lazy, sleeping, snuggling against Charizard's warm, soothing body, and if they were in the mood, perhaps he could...(Ryan didn't want to say, or even think about the word, but it was pretty easy to guess).

But Ryan wasn't able to carry out his wonderful plan. Almost a second after he had just laid down on the bed (at least Ryan thought so, but he had actually been sleeping for a few hours), his slumber was disturbed by a series of beeping noises from his pokedex. It turned out that he had received a message, but what made Ryan really nervous was the one who had sent it.

It's been quite a long time huh, Ryan.

I heard that Charmander has evolved into Charizard, and you have obtained your every first badge in Sinnoh. Congratulations to both!

As a reward for your improvement, I have arranged a nice surprise for you, and it should be there in about an hour, counting from now. Enjoy.

Dad.

_ _

Ryan sighed. He'd never enjoyed surprises, especially one from his dad. Despite being an incredibly strong trainer, Ryan's dad was pretty clumsy in almost anything else, which was the reason why his mom had always been the one to do most of the chores. Ryan remembered the last time his dad tried to to something nice for him, which was a small party to see him off just the day before he began his journey as a trainer, the old man ended up almost burned their house, just because he had totally forgotton about the bbq smoker.

His mood was lightened a bit by the approach of Jake and Lucario. They were holding trays of food, smiling and talking to each other. It was a heart-warming sight, but Ryan slightly envied by the way they acted so naturally, as if they had been born to be with each other. But he quickly discarded that stupid thought. He had Charizard to love too, didn't he?

"Morning Ryan," Jake greeted as he and Lucario joined Ryan at his table.

"Hey," Ryan replied, but his voice was less energetic than usual, which Jake immediately noticed, "What's up? You seem a little...off."

"Yeah..." Ryan murmured in reply, "My old man sent me a message this morning."

"Your dad? Did something happen to your family?"

"No, they are perfectly okay. Dad just wanted to congrats me on winning my first gym battle, and he said a nice surprise was waiting for me."

"That's awesome. But why do you seem so nervous? Shouldn't you be happy instead?" Lucario asked, taking the words right out of Jake's mouth. He then glanced at Charizard as if he expected the pokemon to have some clue, but the fire-breathing lizard just shrugged.

"Well, the problem is...my dad." Ryan began. It was funny but hard at the same time, trying to desbribe his old man's clumsiness, mostly because he didn't want to make his father look bad in front of Jake or anyone else. But, he had been with Jake long enough to know how stubborn his friend could be. He would never be satisfied without an explaination, "I'm not originally from here, but Hoenn. My dad is a very strong gym leader at my home region, but aside pokemon training, well, let just say the old man isn't very good at other stuffs, especially when he tries to do something nice, it usually ends up a disaster. I know his intention is good, but the way he shows it...err, just wrong."

"Is it really that bad?" Jake asked curiously.

"I won't go into details, but last time he tried, our house almost turned into ashes." Ryan replied, shivering as his mind recalled the unpleasant memory.

"Wow!"

...

Ryan almost jumped when someone called out his name, "Excuse me, are you, by any chance, Ryan, The trainer with a Charizard?"

He spun around on his seat and saw Nurse Joy, wearing her usual cheery expression. Gulping, he nodded, "Yes, I am. Is there anything you need?"

"Sorry for disturbing your meal, but someone just sent you a package, Ryan." She said, "Would you like to receive it now, or do you want to wait until later?"

"No, it's okay." Ryan said, holding up his hands, "I'd like to receive that package now."

He glanced at Jake and mouthed, it's here. Together, they stood up and walked out of the cafeteria.

At her counter, Nurse Joy showed Ryan a tray with a single pokeball on it. The ball itself was nothing special, except the usual red half was painted orange instead.

Ryan let out a small gasp as he saw the ball. The orange painting could only mean one thing - his father's most well-trained pokemon, but what had the old man been thinking? How did he expect Ryan to have the skill to control one of his elite fighters?

"Is this one of your father's pokemon?" Jake asked. Ryan nodded as he took the pokeball and held it in his hand, "Well first thing first. Let's see what he had to offer."

Ryan pressed the button in the middle of the ball, which opened it. He watched in silence as the pop-out crimson flash slowly turned into a humanoid figure.

The new pokemon was muscular with hair-like feathers around its head, as well as around its chest and abdomen, and a hooked beak . Most of its body was red, except for its two featherless gray hands and fingers, a patch of v-shaped yellow feather on his chest and another two at the bottom of its feet.

"Young master." the Blaziken said as it knelt down and bowed to Ryan, "I've been waiting to serve you."
