Rainy Days

"Same time as yesterday?"

"Yeah, I'll be right over!"

Unex hung up the phone with a grin and turned around. He was a tall, blue wolf. White fur crept up his belly and surrounded the lower portion of his face. He had short brown hair, and a lighter shade of brown shorts. He had casual black gloves on his paws, which only reached halfway up his fingers and stopped before they reached his finger pads. He crossed his long arms and looked around his house. He walked across the room. He rummaged through a pile of junk until he found a basketball. It would be a while before his friend got here, and so he decided he'd just shoot some hoops while he waited.

He opened the back door and took a breath of fresh, clean air. Unex loved being outside, especially where he lived, surrounded by trees and quiet and woods. The nearest neighbor was about five minutes to either side of him, and so his house was pretty private. He was a very friendly fur, but it was nice to live somewhere he could be at peace. On the side of his house was a basketball hoop, and he took some shots at it to pass the time. He noticed the sky getting darker and took note: it was going to rain soon. Hopefully it held off until Vincent got there. Unex would hate to have invited his friend over just to have him get drenched in rain.

As if on cue, Unex heard a shout and his ears perked up as Vincent appeared from behind the big oak tree. He shouted back in greeting and threw the basketball at his friend, who caught it easily. "Hey, Vincent! About time you got here, I was getting worried you got lost!"

Vincent threw the ball at the hoop and it fell into the net. Unex ran to retrieve it. "Well I did lose my way a few times," Vincent joked. "It's a good thing I only live a few houses down the street, Nature Boy!" Unex shot another basket and quickly caught the rebound. Vincent was also blue, but unlike his friend, his fur shade was darker. His ears were tipped with black and the end of his tail had a black stripe and ended with white. He had a lip ring on the left side of his face and half the bangs of his otherwise black hair were dyed purple. And he was a fox. He laughed as Unex again sank the basketball with a gleeful crow. "Are you going to join the NBA or are we going inside? It's going to rain."

"Yeah, you're right," Unex admitted as he tucked the ball under his arm. "Wouldn't want Mr. "I Can't Play Basketball" to get wet. We'd better go in."

"Oh yeah?" Vincent challenged as he snatched the ball away. "We'll see about that!"

It was a long time before the canines staggered through the door, laughing, drenched in sweat and rain. They had played well past an hour, after the skies had become drizzly and the drizzles became downpour. The way the rain pounded on the ball and splashed in their faces made the game more fun, and the fact that they were neck in neck in score the entire time drove their competitive natures further. It was only by a lucky slip that Vincent had won. But it was just a game, and the two friends didn't care much about the outcome.

Unex breathed heavily, panting. "You know where the washroom is, Vincent. We can take turns getting ourselves dried off." Once both were fresh and cleaned up, they plopped onto the sofa, not as tired as they were coming in, but not particularly energetic, either. They looked at each other lazily. "You want to watch TV?"

"Not really. Board game?"

"Nah. How about a video game?"

They agreed to play some video games. Unex popped in some Halo but they got bored of it quickly. Mario Kart was next, but that eventually wore itself out, too. Finally they both just sat back and talked.

"Man, there's nothing to do today," Vincent complained.

"Hm . . ." Unex began, eyes mischievous. It was time.

"What is it? You got any ideas?"

"Well, we could grab something to eat."

Vincent sighed. "As good an idea as any, I suppose. But I'm not really feeling all that hungry right now. You got any snacks?"

Unex nodded. "In the cabinet. I'll go get them."

There was one reason that Unex had invited his friend over today. They got together all the time, but Unex had something else planned. He left Vincent sitting on the couch and went to the kitchen. He rummaged through the cabinets and picked out a few snacks. Odds were, none of these were going to get eaten, but they made a good show. He brought the armful of food back to the living room and dumped it onto the coffee table. Then he sat next to Vincent and grinned, and put an arm around his shoulder.

"Is this it?"

Unex shook his head. "No, there's more." He was silent. Vincent nudged him to continue.

"You're looking really tasty today, Vincent."

Vincent gave a snort and shoved at him. Unex didn't move. "Real funny, Unex. You're hilarious."

"No, I'm serious. I've been thinking about it for a while now."

Unex leaned over and licked across his cheek, murring, and Vincent shuddered. "Okay now you're creeping me out."

"Relax. You look like you'll fit in my belly nicely. And you taste great!

Vincent backed away. "Are you talking about actually eating me? That's gross, man." Vincent got up, but Unex grabbed his arm and pulled him down. "You're not kidding." Unex shook his head and gestured for him to sit. Vincent nodded nervously. But as soon as Unex let go of him he bolted for the door.

"Woah!"

Unex caught up to him quickly and tackled him to the ground. Vincent struggled, but he wasn't going anywhere. For the first time, he noticed how much shorter he was than his friend. He began to whimper.

Unex scoffed. "Dude, it's not like I'm going to hurt you. You'll be perfectly safe, and it'll be fun. Later I can let you out and you'll be fine. Trust me."

He held out his paw and helped Vincent up. It was a true mark of their friendship that Vincent didn't run this time. He held up his friend's paw with two fingers and squinted at it. "Are . . . you sure you're not on something?"

"Of course I am!"

"And neither of us is going to get hurt?"

"Of course not! You're my friend. Why would I want to hurt you? It'll be awesome, I promise."

Vincent sighed and sat back down on the couch. "You always convince me to do the craziest things. You owe me a week's worth of pizza after this."

"Of course!" said Unex eagerly, licking his lips.

Vince grimaced. "Well I guess that's that, then," he muttered. Unex had never let him down before, and there was no reason for him to start now.

"Cool! But first things first, I'm gonna need you to lie back, okay? I want a taste first."

Vincent raised an eyebrow, but did as he was told. Unex's tail began to wag. He jumped onto his friend, who let out a big "Oof!" and began licking at his face. Vincent had to close his eyes as his face was covered in wolf drool and his fur stuck in clumps. Unex turned himself around until he was kneeling on Vincent's stomach. Vincent convulsed with laughter as Unex let loose a barrage of slurps at his feet paws, travelling up and down until they were even more soaked than his face. Unex hopped off and licked all over until Vincent couldn't help but to feel like he was outside in the rain again.

Unex grinned into Vincent's wet face with a hungry look in his eye.

"You're going to eat me now, aren't you?" he sighed. Unex nodded, stomach grumbling with anticipation.

"You sure you're ready?"

"Just get it over with."

Unex hovered over Vincent's head, saliva dripping into his friend's hair. He opened his maw wide, wider than he normally ever would. Vincent let out an "Eep!" as his head was gulped in, but Unex was careful to keep his fangs away. That was the easy part. The important thing was to make the experience as pleasurable as possible. And he smiled when he took his first swallow, hearing a big gasp. Vincent was surprised. It was so warm in here! And Unex's tongue was so soft. . . . His own tail began to wag.

Unex drooled profusely, dribbles running down Vincent's chest and belly before those too were sucked into his mouth. He licked and tasted at them as thoroughly as he could, matting them down with his tongue, and they tasted great. He took another gulp. A noise came from his belly and Unex stopped swallowing to listen. "Hmmm?"

Vincent's voice came as a quiet, distant echo. "How am I going to fit in here? Your stomach is tiny!"

"'on't worry! 'ere'll be woom!" Unex assured him. Talking was difficult at this point. At any rate, it couldn't have been too much of a concern to Vincent. His tail was still wagging, now more than ever. Vincent was really enjoying himself. Unex took a few more swallows, past the white-tipped tail and the wiggling feet paws, which he spend an extra few minutes lathering up with drool, until all that was left of Vincent was finishing its descent down his gullet. He smiled and rubbed at his belly before laying back on the couch.

Vincent shook his head with disbelief. Here he was, in his friend's belly, and he was actually enjoying himself. He rubbed at the stomach walls. There was no way out, but Unex had said he'd come up with something, and Vincent trusted him completely. It was so comfortable! The belly was squishy and warm; it jiggled and rocked. It was surreal.

"How are you doing in there?" Unex asked, patting his belly.

"Well, it is a little tight . . ." Vincent began. "But you weren't lying. This is great!" He began rocking and bouncing with energy, trying to be as meal-like as possible.

"Oh! Keep doing that!" Unex chuckled. "It feels nice."

They were quiet for a while, each trying to make the other's time as enjoyable as possible. But eventually they got tired. The bounces in Unex's belly slowed. He took notice of this and kept rubbing. Eventually they stopped altogether. He belched, eyes half shut, and he wiped his mouth with a paw. His belly give a small gurgle and he smiled.

And then he fell asleep.

The next morning, Unex woke up and poked at his stomach. It was a lot smaller than it was yesterday, and what was left inside was mostly fat. He got up, yawned, and brushed his teeth. He made breakfast. He grabbed some fruit from the fridge, and made some toast. He set up some drinks. He set out two bowls of cereal and put them on either side of the table. Finally, he grabbed a glass vial off the counter.

It was filled with a shimmering blue liquid, and he peered at it before bringing it to his lips and taking a swig. He hiccupped. And from his lips came a blue, misty smoke. It swirled around his head for a few seconds and instantly began to take shape. Unex waited.

About a minute later his friend Vincent was standing in front of him, dazed.

Unex pet his shoulder cheerfully. "How are you doing?"

Vincent blinked. "I'm . . . good. I'm really good, actually. Was that . . . was I . . .?"

"Yup!" Unex grinned. "And, good news, I made breakfast. Let's eat!"

Vincent sat down slowly, still rubbing his head. He was surprisingly hungry. In fact, he was starved. He grabbed at all the food he could reach. Unex laughed.

They chatted through breakfast. They talked about sports, and they talked about video games. They talked about politics, but that got boring fast. But they didn't talk about last night. They talked and they ate just like they normally would. And then Vincent had to leave.

"Don't worry," Unex assured as Vincent reached across the table. "I'll clean up the dishes. You don't need to worry about it. I'll see you later, okay?"

Vincent was silent for a second. "Yeah," he agreed. "Definitely. Same time tomorrow?"

Unex grinned. "I'll see you then!"
