It was a sunny afternoon at 3:00 P.M. and at a small house lives a boy named Barbados Parker. He had dark brown hair and amber eyes, he was wearing a black T-shirt with a skull on it and jeans, even steel toe boots. He was short and skinny for his age, barely 4 feet and 11 inches tall. His house was located near a forest which he sometimes took a stroll into from time to time.

He was headed for the door that lead outside until a voice from behind stopped him.

"Barbados where are you going?" came a sharp voice.

Barbados jumped in reaction and turned around to face his dad, his dad was 6 feet and 4 inches tall. His dad wore a white shirt with overalls and yellow hiking boots.

"Nowhere dad just getting some fresh air outside. I'll be back." said Barbados nervously.

Barbados's dad looked mad by the look on his red face.

"Don't lie to me, your going somewhere and your not going anywhere." said Mr. Parker sounding mad.

His dad was advancing towards him as Barbados took steps back, his face looking fearful.

"Dad your making me nervous, again and your scaring me." said Barbados fearfully.

"Stop acting like a wimp, you good for nothing liar. Your going nowhere and just for that you need another lesson to be taught." said Mr. Parker on the verge of yelling.

Barbados's dad was running after him, he tried to get away but his dad grabbed him by the arm. Mr.Parker pulled his already afraid son and had his whole arm around his torso, he pulled down his pants and started hitting him really hard leaving red marks.

"Dad stop it, your hurting me." screamed Barbados fearfully.

His dad ignored him and continued hitting Barbados's ass, his dad finally stopped and pushed him to the floor. Barbados was crying out of pain and sadness that his own father beat him without mercy.

"You'll do as I say from now on or you'll go without meals for a week." screamed Mr. Parker.

Barbados made a quick swing and tripped his father, he fell to the floor, landing on his back. Barbados quickly got up and ran out the door, his father quickly running after him. But his father only got to the door as his son ran off.

"Go ahead run, you'll have to come back sometime." yelled Mr. Parker sounding more angry from before.

Barbados ran like he was running track, his face filling with tears. He ran really far into the forest until he stopped, he saw a rock that he could sit on to catch his breath. He walked over and sat down, still crying from the beating he took. Barbados had a bruise on his right cheek, it ached with a slight sting of pain. He cried loudly, mourning how hurt he felt.

"What did I do to you?" said Barbados his voice cracking.

Barbados knew that he couldn't go back home, his dad would beat him black. He couldn't stay in the forest, it gets dangerous by night fall. What could he do? He was getting hungry by now, no matter what he thought of doing Barbados was putting himself in great risk of getting injured or in a worse situation. It seemed all hope was lost.

A Kangaskhan was walking around, she was a female. She heard the noise, but wondered where it's coming from. It sounded close, the Kangaskhan was not far from the sound. She followed the noise, her curiousity getting the better of her. She could see a human boy in the distance, she walked towards the humanoid figure. Getting closer with each step the image of the human got clearer. Kangaskhan sometimes saw humans pass by in the forest, they were either playing or just walking around for excersize. She was only ten feet away when Kangaskhan stopped, what she saw was a sad sight. It was Barbados, crying his eyes out.

"What's the matter with him?" she said quitely.

Usually Kangaskhan saw happy people wondering around in the forest, but the young man she saw was far from happy. She walked over to him, wondering why this human was crying. Kangaskhan stopped right in front of Barbados, she was right next to him. She was then feeling pity for him.

"What could've made this poor boy so upset?" said Kangaskhan to herself.

Kangaskhan thought she could do something, so she took a deep breath and and let it out to ready herself.

"Hey, why are you crying?" asked Kangaskhan softly.

She had a soft voice while Barbados usually had a deep voice, but his voice was sounding sad and hurt right now. He wiped the tears away and looked up with a frown, his face stained with tears.

"If your gonna kill me than take your best shot. I won't stop you." said Barbados sadly.

"Why would I wanna do such a mean thing like that?" asked Kangaskhan feeling shocked.

Barbados said nothing for a whole minute.

"Why would I do that?" she asked again.

"Your bigger than me and very powerful in size." answered Barbados.

Kangaskhan's face had a look of pity, why would someone just say to put them out of their misery? Barbados was still breathing deeply, tears running down his cheeks.

"I would never do that to such a beautiful being such as yourself. Come here sweety." said Kangaskhan in a comforting tone.

Kangaskhan picked Barbados up by the waist, she carried him in her arms. Looking at his tear stained face was something that Kangaskhan hardley ever seen before.

"Usually I see happy people with smiles but look at you, your face is stained with tears and your crying ocean. Let me dry those tears for you." said Kangaskhan sweetly.

She held Barbados closely as Kangaskhan wiped his tears with her finger. Barbados was calming down after a while, he felt his emotional wounds slowly healing. Kangaskhan noticed a bruise on his face.

"What's you name?" she asked.

"Barbados, what's yours?" he asked her.

"It's Jessica, where'd you get that bruise?" said Jessica sounding concerned.

Barbados didn't think he could tell her how he recieved a bruise to his face, the bruise was purple and slightly swollen.

"I've had worse than bruises." said Barbados grimly.

He lifted up his shirt and revealed some slowly healing wounds to Jessica. Barbados had small cuts and bruises everywhere, Jessica saw them on his back, his legs, and shoulders. Jessica was even shocked to see the red marks on his butt, she was shocked. Jessica seen minor wounds that could be healed with a simple disenfected wash, but this was like witnessing a nightmare. Barbados was done showing her his wounds.

"Whose been hurting you like this?" asked Jessica looking suprised.

"My dad beat me up several times a day for a long time. The red marks on my ass and my bruise I recieved today." said Barbados looking embarrassed.

This was a nightmare compared to Jessica seeing all his cuts, scars, and bruises.

"Your dad should never do this to you, he's supposed to treat you with love and care. He's not supposed to beat you like a rag doll. Why would he do this to you?" said Jessica sounding overwhelmed.

"He's had both a drinking problem for a long time and a substance abuse history. He made sure I was kept quite about that to avoid going to jail. He destroyed any trace of evidence that I could find. He hates me, he wants me to do whatever he wants me to do. I ran away hours ago after he beat the shit out of me." said Barbados finally.

Jessica was shocked beyond belief at this point but she contained herself.

"You don't have to worry about him anymore. Your with me now." said Jessica soothingly.

She leaned in and gave Barbados a big kiss on the cheek. He felt better after Jessica kissed him, she had a big mouth and her lips were all over Barbados's whole cheek. She broke the kiss and smiled at him.

"All better now." said Jessica in a motherly tone.

A gurgling sound came from Barbados's stomach, he was hungry after the event from today. He hadn't eaten since breakfest.

"Oh your hungry, lets get something delicous for you to fill that empty belly." said Jessica sweetly.

She walked off carrying Barbados. Jessica gave him a big hug to get it out of her system.

"That makes me feel all warm inside. I never had a hug or a kiss." said Barbados sounding suprised.

"Never had a hug or a kiss, that daddy has been so mean to you hasn't he?" said Jessica feeling shocked yet again.

Barbados nodded his head, she gave him a big hug again. Jessica rubbed his back gently like Barbados was her baby. Jessica had a feeling that she needed to help Barbados heal from his wounds. The whole way Jessica would kiss and hug him every five minutes, Barbados was recieving what he wanted in a long time, the love from someone who cared about him.
