Chapter VI: The Worst Situation
#6 of The Outsiders
"40, lets see, J.D lets try some of your raw energy.", Koji said pulling out his absorbopen out from his pocket, and placing the tip into his boyfriend's hand. Purple energy flowed out of J.D's hands and into the pen, until Koji pulled back and looked at it. Its mind link filled him with ideas on what he could do with it, and an idea came to mind.
"Jackson, we wouldn't have IR equipment.", Koji asked into his earpeice. Both of the sharks continued to look sround waiting for the first move, eventually standing back to back.
"Check your chest pocket.", Jackson beamed into his ear. Koji reached into the said pocket, and pulled out a pair of sunglasses. He pushed them on and saw the terror that was only partially seen before. He pointed his pen forward, aiming carefully.
"Its about to begin, get ready.", Koji said as he calculated where he would shoot. The though raced though his head, the blast fired out. It continued on until it ripped right though a dragon's wing. The dragon falling to the ground.
As if instantaneous the 39 other dragons flew up to Koji and J.D. Koji reached into his case and pulled out a blue gem, a sapphire. He absorbed it, blue stone gloves forming on his hands. One dragon jumped up to him.
He punched forward, shards of glass erupted from the glass, impacting the dragon, causing cuts and scratches. His fist impacted the dragon, sending it to the ground. The dragon was frozen on the ground and fell off from the dragons racing towards the two.
J.D slashed up, knocking back a dragon and cutting it. He slashed again, but they kept on return the dragon's bunching up and congesting J.D. He quickly though of something to do to save him, he focused raw energy into his blades and started to slash. The dragons were all knocked back, some falling off and hitting the ground.
He continued until their were no Dragon's on his side. He was about to help Koji when a large green dragon with jet black wings landed before him. "Fight with me Kagen God.", He said as black orbs formed on his hands.
"Ok.", J.D slammed his hands forward energy blasting out towards Darkwing, burning pure energy flying towards the large muscular dragon. Darkwing looked confident as the energy approached him, he made a sly look and prepared for a counter.
He quickly raised his wings and flapped his wings, a if by magic a dark wind surged out. The wind hit the energy and canceled out an explosion wasting all of the energy. J.D had an angry look on his face, while Darkwing made a smug look.
"Come on Kagen God, I know you never would use your full power in one attack, bring it on.", Darkwing said continuing his smug look, that only made J.D angrier. J.D screamed out with a roar and blue energy instead of purple covered his blades.
He ran forward and slashed up with his right hand into Darkwing's chest. Darkwing just winked, and a black portal formed and J.D slashed into thin air. Darkwing gave him a smug look, the same on that kept angering J.D, something about it was off he could help but not feel anger at it.
He slashed in a upwards X motion hoping both would be too much for the Dragon to handle. This time two portals formed, them lead to behind J.D causing both to impact into J.D's back.

When Koji heard J.D cry out in pain he entered a frenzy he would not let any one touch J.D, his pupils constricted like a snakes and his primal instincts kicked in. For his first move he blasted all the Dragons off the truck, and when for Darkwing. He placed his hands forward and before Darkwing could close the portal, he absorbed it. He formed a portal and Darkwing fell in. Koji jumped in and J.D followed.
They were in the interior of the truck, Koji quickly opened up a box of the cure. He pulled out a vile and pushed it into Darkwing's arm. The cure took effect instantly, the dragon's scales starting to bubble and meld. Before it could finish, the metal on the roof of the truck was crushed in, StripeArmor flew in, and took a look at Darkwing.
He landed and scooped up the bubbling dragon and flew away, in to the distance. They climbed out and the rest of the truck ride happened without incident. "What happened back there", J.D asked as he leaned on Koji's shoulders.
"I don't know, I couldn't stand to see you hurt.", Koji said leaning into J.D's head.
"Well, thanks I don't know but I go so angry and I think Bright might be related to the Kagen Gods, because Darkwing called me Kagen God like an insult almost.
....
It was after the mission the sun rising, vaccines and cures to be given later in the day. Jackson and Eric were walking down the alleyway, a shortcut as Eric said it was. Snow was falling on the two and they were huddled together, They were talking, the larger orca standing side to Eric.
"Eric I want to tell you something.", Jackson said slowing down and walking behind Eric, "I'm not a person who you would know have these sorts of feelings but I'll just say it I love you.", He said, but Eric was focused on something in front of him, he didn't even seem to notice the Orca.
Before Jackson could see, three bullets were shot, all three hitting Eric, the wolf collapsed, gasping as he hit the ground, Jackson could only get a glimpse of the assassin before he rushed to Eric's side calling an ambulance.
"Oh, god Eric why you, why did it have to be you.", Jackson sobbed to himself as he looked on to the wolf-hybrid getting wheeled out of the operating room, masses of bandages covering his wound next to his shoulder, and two in his stomach, luckily non hit his chest cavity.
Jackson was overcome with guilt, if he had out his stupid feelings aside he could have be standing right next to Eric when the shots were fired and could have a least took a bullet for the wolf he loved, the worst part was he knew he'd have to see Eric again, and face the truth, he didn't know what bothered him more the pseudo-survivors guilt or not knowing.
He just sobbed and sat there waiting for someone. He finally looked up and found Koji and J.D rushing over followed by Ro, and Eric's parents, Mrs. Enderson she was a the Golden Jackel, she had a thin, frail appearance and always wore a dress, trying to be lady like. Mr. Enderson was a tall bulky man, yet worked in the higher ups with the government. Jackson had yet to have though of a cover story but might be able to manage.
"Dear God Jackson, what happened?", Mrs. Enderson said as she approched the brokendown Jackson, she wiped off the Orca's tears and tried to get him to focus.
"Eric was shot by a mob member, I just wish I was walking faster then I might have been able to take the shot for him.", Jackson said sobbing riddled with guilt and failure.
"No, honey nothing could of happened any other way.", She said wiping away the tears and getting away. She then went to speak to the nurse to
"Yeah Jackson, I know about you and the Outsiders and I know you will get him.", He said making the Orca looking a him in a strange way, "You can only get so high up before you find out the black-budgeted items.", He said as he joined his wife.
"Are you ok Jackson?", Ro said as he gave a spectacled look to Orca who he had always seen with the cool, calm composer who had just broken down.
"No, but I will be ok when we catch who ever did this.", Jackson said getting up, and wiping away the tears.
"I think I know who did this, Mr. Wang, he mentioned he wanted to see the Harbinger, Eric is a Harbinger, so put two and two together and this might be Dusk starting a war between the Kagen Gods.
"Good find that rat dirty bastard and bring right to my face so I can kick the shit out of his Asian face.", He then stopped when realizing 2/3s of the people he was talking to were part Asian, "Let me rephrase that, so I can kick his Harbringer ass."
"Nice save.", Koji said patting Jackson in the back as he left the hospital, knowing Eric would be fine so long as Jackson was there. J.D and Ro followed out, and entered the car J.D next to Koji, Ro in the back seat.
"Sorry, Ro, I get shotgun now.", J.D said as he bragged about his seat.
"Yeah never got there, couldn't sit there because Koji said my fur would ruin the seat.", Ro wined as Koji pushed the petal to the metal and drived off. "So where would we start with this, we don't know where Wang is nor where he would go."
"Well, lets think Wang is a man of action so when he realized he was a Harbinger, he might have turned himself in, and he might only have little control of his powers, so what if he was radiating energy, he would appear light a christmas light in the night.", Ro said.
"That might work.", Koji said returning to his emotionless, monotone voice. He plugged in his earpiece and connected to Jackson, "City IR scan.", He said to Jackson through the ear piece. As if by magic, a map of the city came up on the screen, dots of red and yellow over the city. Koji reached into his pocket and pulled out his absorbopen, he placed it on the screen and as if it was listening to Koji's thoughts zoomed into the hottest humaniod shape in the city.
"Koji, what if insteed we for say go where you first met Wang instead of using something that could be set off by say someone with a fever.", J.D suggested from his seat. "From the interview I found that Wang seems set in a self-destructive path, that ends with you confronting him."
"Ok, where'd you learn that.", Ro asked as Koji took a turn towards the warehouse where he and Wang first met.
"Well, besides crime fighting, I'd figure I need something to do so Jackson suggested psychological training, and when ever were weren't busy I took a basic quick course.", J.D said rubbing Koji's arm.
"So you met Jackson on Tuesday, and Wang turned himself in on Wednesday, so between those days you took a basic psychological course, enough to reconize self-destructive paths, damn your smart.", Ro said.
"Considerably I'm quite average compared to other Kagen Gods, excluding Dusk.", J.D said.
"Ok lets go.", Koji said pressing his foot on the accelerator.
Jackson tricked Koji while they had thought of the idea that Wang shot Eric, he didn't correct them and let them go after the asian wolf. No he had seen the face of the gunman, well more gun-woman. He recognized her, someone from his past, someone from before he created the Las Vegas Branch of the Outsiders.
It was Samantha Caviler, his first partner back when he was first recruited by the government, at the young age of 13, in the year between his recruitment and the creation of Las Vegas branch. He was a freelance agent recruited because of his high gun skills.
She was a person he ran into often because they took up the same cases, he learned that the tiger had been hired by Interpol and did many international cases helping the world. What confused him is why she shot Eric and how he would kill the bitch for it.
He'd know where she be and he knew how he'd find her. He'd let Koji take down another Wang while he got Samantha and did whatever the hell his mind could think off in five minutes for shooting Eric.
He walked out of the hospital and made his way into his car, speeding off before he even got all the way in, the wheels turning as he entered the car. He drove off and made his way towards the south end of Las Vegas, where they hung out on the few missions that convinced Jackson to make his Outsiders branch there.
He arrived in three minutes flat the underpass between the intersection of Interstate 215 and 15, he knew she be here it wasn't that Wang wanted to speak with Eric, it was that she wanted to talk to him probably but she didn't know how to say it and shot Eric, which made the Orca angrier that Eric was a innocent bystander.
He was right the Tigress was there wearing a tight suit of grayish armor over her body and guns located anyplace that wasn't used for movement. She was sitting on her car's windshield eating a donut.
"So you arrive Jackson.", She said in a monotone voice reminding him of Koji, yet she was different she was silent always she never showed a slight bit of emotion nor complained she was stoic in the highest sense, taking a risk and never showing fear. She was the perfect killing machine, yet with in the field of an agent her strength was almost her weakness.
"You shot my friend, and I will kill you unless you give me a valid freaking reason why.", He said pulling a gun out and pointing it getting closer to the Tigress and showing her clearly how how angry he was on the issue.
"Please we both know I wouldn't be able to talk to you like that, so instead I you know got your attention some way else.", She said taking a bite of the donut, "And I have a favor to ask of you.", She said taking a bite out of the pastry.
"And I shouldn't kill right now why?", Jackson said trying to rub in the point of his message. He know had both of his fingers on the trigers of both guns pointed at tigress eating the dount who shot the love of his life.
"Because if you haven't realized it if Koji absorbs Eric's skin he will gain healing powers that will work the best on Eric, so do that and he's fixed up.", She said taking another bite out of her donut. "Either way I need you and the Outsiders to come with me to Mexico for something, and Interpol will watch over the city."
"Ok, maybe your right but you shot and assaulted a Government agent and should be arrested on the spot, sure you wanted to talk but maybe you should walk up and talk to us.", Jackson said trying to be firm and strudy.
"Because you know I wouldn't have done it any other way and plus now you get to care for Eric, if not he already wants to go out with you so that might be a plus.", Samatha said taking the final bite of her donut, fully convinced Jackson.
"Ok fine follow me, you won me over. So help me if you do try any funny business, I will not hesitate.", Jackson said entering his car.
"So now your back Elemental Master, after 2 years it is time for the final battle.", Wang said as fire blasted out of his fists, and heat causing a mirage around his body. Koji absorbed the same gem he used the night before, froming again the stoney blue gloves, spiky and pointy gems stuck out as if channeling the anger from what was done to him before and the anger that Jackson manipulated into him for flasly shooting Eric.
"Oh it will be final battle, and your funeral.", Koji said as he rose his arms, blue gem claws pointing towards the wolf. He had a smerk that he knew what he would do, how he would win. He lunged forward his body flying trough the air as he impacted his claws towards Wang's shoulders. Wang tried to get out of the way, his body shifting to the left, insteed Koji's left "claw" was on Wang's shoulders, but Koji had to move quickly and instead clamped on to the wolf's left arm.
"Well, you seem to be pretty confident on your choice of battle, but can you handle the heat?", Wang said as he started to growl, Koji felt the air warm as he knew what Wang would try to do, and he would have to act quickly if he wanted to win.
Koji focused his energy down his arms and into the gem gauntlet. The crystals glowed with a bright and pulsing light as the energy flowed into it. Out of the "claws" crystals bursted out and onto Wang's arm, more bursted out, as the crystals trailed down the wolfs arms. They reached his hands and they entended around it, as if at the last second, red light shined out as fire was blocked by the crystals around his hand.
"Very good your powers have grown from two years ago, yet you expect me to only have that.", Koji was confused for a second, until he saw Wang open his mouth wide. He had only second to let go of Wang's arms and instead raise them up crystals of all shapes and sizes blasting out froming a shield in front of the wolf's mouth.
Fire blasted out of Wang's mouth's hitting the sheild and the crystal armor. Koji knew what had to be done, he opened his hand the crystals that formed the gaunlets opening and his arms freed from the crystals, the crystals still blocked because they were connected to Wang's arms, but soon they broke fire spewing out inbetween the broken crystals.
Koji reached his hand out, red light beams shooting out towards the warehouse lights above them. Instead of hitting the blub they instead connected with the plug. The beam changed to yellow and the color changed down the beam as the beam returned to Koji's hand.
The beam returned and Koji felt his tiny back hairs stand on end as yellow flowing electricity arced around his shark body. He put up his hand and sparked electricity. Wang followed suit, putting out a burst of fire. Both blasted out their respective energy, the energy combing in the middle of the blasts.
Koji put up his other hand and red beams blasted out, soaring past the surging fire and electricity blast and instead towards Wang's hand. It hit the wolf's free hand and the red spread over it, "What the hell!", He screamed out as the beam drained his hand of its power, and the beam retruning to Koji's hand.
He stopped his blast of electricity and put both his hands towards the ground. Before anyone could react a massive burst of fire and electricity surrounded his body, his body itself unaffected by the surging energies that were circling around his energy. Koji ran foward, putting the energy ahead of him as an aura.
Wang blasted out fire, but nothing was affecting the aura that surrounded Koji. Koji rammed into Wang putting all his anger into the attack, knocking the wolf into the back wall of the warehouse. Wang fell out and was knocked out from the hit in the head.
"And so your story ends."
....
Koji walked out of the warehouse dragging Wang behind him, revenge was served to Wang for the incident two years ago and now he could put away the drug dealer, J.D and Ro gave him shocked looks as he got into the car, the other two got in ans they drove away, with instructions from Jackson to go to the HQ.

Koji walked in to the main room, Wang in a proper holding cell and out away. Jackson was sitting with someone, she had a stoic and emotionless face that Koji seemed to connected to, she looked weather and strong not afraid of consequences.
"Hello, I'm Samantha and you guys are gonna come with me to Mexico."
