"See what you would be like, had Anana not rescued you. I would have... loved to see that." He figured saying it that way might not have exactly been the best way, but it was the truth, and he didn't want to lie to her about things like this.

Serena frowned. "You have seen it. You've seen it in every time I've lost control, in every time that I have been so mad that my inner flame turns blue white, You have seen it in every moment in the recesses of my mind...it's the reason, with all my money, with my wealth, that I do not stop hunting, that I do not go a week without killing -something- or trying to pretend that I'm killing something...because if I don't...I don't know what I'd be like." She stood and turned her back on him. "I killed needlessly as a Shelgon...Heji knows this as well as anyone...because even though I wasn't hungry...I had to hunt..." She went quiet. "If you want to come with me, get on my back; last chance."

"There is... no such thing as needless killing. I do suppose I will get on your back." He did climb up on her, trying to see where there would be another area that he could touch upon.

As soon as he was seated, or lying down, or just -secure- she took the bounding leaps and took off, leaving them down below. Her hide quivered beneath where his body sat, and it was a long time before she spoke. "There is such a thing as a needless kill, to take a life without intending to eat it, or to give to someone who would eat it...that is a needless kill. Even if it fulfills a need within yourself, whether it be hunger, or to keep a monster at bay...if the body is not returned to the earth...then it has been wasted. I live by these rules because if I don't Kyn, I will lose myself in the madness that threatens to swallow me. I know you know what that's like."

"You obviously don't know what I've been thinking about for the past two years then. Thinking about things both you and Royce said, has made me realize something.... The fear put into a sentient when I am about to take their life... can be such a rush sometimes. Killing can be done for a multiple of reasons, yes. To name a few, hunger, self-defense, and of course, one that is rarely used, for fun. I am not sure what madness threatens to swallow you though."

"What have you heard about the Salamence line, Kyn? Surely not all of them were as calm as I have been with you around...I'm not changing the subject, but you need to see the difference. The difference between them and me. They can let go, they can be destructive, they don't have to answer to themselves if their trainer lets them get out of hand, if they go on a rampage their trainer is held accountable if they're not dead. They themselves might die, might have to be put down...but they are never ACCOUNTABLE for what they have done. I am. I can't let myself go. I keep my rage in check, or try to..." She turned her head to look back at him. "Pair that natural rage, that dominance, with what Royce did to me, Kyn, and you can see what madness I fight every day."

"You shouldn't have to. I suppose the fact that you do has saved me from you several times. Did I ever tell you the legend of Hunter J, Serena? I probably haven't but my memory is not the best at times. Also Serena, have you figured out what my form of insanity is yet...?" He stuck to just two questions this time.

"You have no conscience, and No." She spiraled upwards through the clouds, coating them both in the dew, getting rid of the smell of Royce on her. "To be honest with you Kyn...The fact that I do has saved everyone an ungodly amount of times."

"I think I used to have one of those things before I met you two. So about Hunter J... well, the interesting thing about her, is that she was well known, and famous for her use of a Salamence," He began.

"When that Salamence can learn anything that they want to learn by examining something that another Pokémon uses twice, then they are comparable to me." She answered, almost at a whisper, she didn't think that she had told him that yet, she knew she hadn't told many 'mon that.

"The main reason why she was so famous was because she used her Salamence to get what she wanted. She would order attacks on humans... buildings... even entire forests."

"Hold tight." She let her wings stall in their upwards momentum, and toppled backwards and down until the wind caught her wings and pulled her back upwards.

Kyn held onto whatever he could, using his legs and arms to grip her. He didn't know what she was going to do, but watched her movements.

She looped and spiraled downward vapor trails and all, until the sound barrier broke around them. He was probably used to it with Tenshi, but still it sobered her as she turned herself around and started to head back. "What became of her?"

"She died. At least that's the popular belief since she hasn't been seen for more than seven years, and after that we legally pronounce someone dead." Kyn stated. He enjoyed the speed that she was flying at.

"Mm....sounds like a stupid rule of thumb." She knew she was going to be showing off, and while it normally wasn't in her nature, she let the energy burn. Brave bird, Tailwind, Acrobatics, Aerial ace, all in quick succession brought her up to the next level of speed, and she felt it break again. Air cutter, Twister, Ominous wind, Dragon rush. Another level she felt around her, another breath expelled.

"So then Serena... please show Tensa how to use Dragon Pulse. You know what I also think is stupid? Limiting Pokémon to four moves in a match." Kyn said, wondering what she was doing, using all those moves.

"Will do as soon as he spars with me, he says he's bored most of the time anyway, I guess that's what you get for being at the top, there's no where to go. This is going to look scary, but I promise the flames wont hurt you, okay?" She hadn't stopped per say, she was looping in a rather small circle though.

"Flames... scary? Which human are you talking to?" He said, trying to prepare.

"The one with the fire-proof Sceptile, which is exactly who I'm aiming to frighten more than you." She dove, oh did she dive, the flames erupted from her head, wings, and body, making her out to be a Moltres against the night sky, and of course, she aimed right for where the others were at. She might have left a severe vapor trail, but it didn't matter. The atmosphere around her broke a fourth time; and when she hit the ground, she let it crack into the ground, her legs taking the brunt of the force, and afterward she crumpled down onto her belly. "Ah...that one always hurts a bit."

Of course, none of them had really expected Serena to do that, and Tensa most of all was definitely surprised.

"Well, you'd definitely give the humans a surprise. Have you ever thought about competing in the Pokémon League, Serena?"

"The only way I would compete in that thing is if I could break their 'rules' and have more than four moves at a time." She let a shake of scales rattle as she went through her mental checklist to verify that everything was still in order. "Time for your trainer check up, name the moves from start to finish Kyn...and while we're at it, up you three, on my back, I'm not taking no for an answer."

"I've never seen some of those... especially not from that angle. Besides... everyone's moves look different based on the way they were taught... it's not like... I can identify any of them except the Dragon Rush I saw." Kyn said, feeling a bit sad that he was so put on the spot like that.

The rest of them... didn't hesitate, and climbed onto Serena's back.

She stood with a flick of her tail, and rattled all but the last one off as she took off into the sky. "Sky Attack." She said when they were on the level of the clouds. "That was the last one. I think I remember it being the signature move of the legendary bird triad or something like that?" She paused. "Tensa, Kyn would like you to try to learn a move from me, if it's within your capability, you were hibernating when I mentioned it to him last." She banked towards where she knew Syrup's house was, at her normal pace, but steadily increasing.

"Next... Serena... would you do me the honor of showing me those attacks... from a victim standpoint... though obviously not using them on me? That way, I'll be able to interpret from all angles and... it'll help us with battling.

Tensa answered with a quick, "Always willing to learn."

"Sounds Hedonistic, yes, I can accomplish three things at once, I think. A spar with Tensa, teaching him to use Dragon Pulse, and showing you all the moves that I know...all 114 of them." it wasn't long before she nosed into a dive, and then landed on the stone a little ways from Syrup's house, walking towards her training area, and then finally slowing enough for them to drop off her back.

"I didn't mean all of them, but I suppose you might just show them anyway. It has been many years since you were a Shelgon..." Kyn wasn't surprised by the number that she gave him, just that he'd never really pictured his Pokémon learning more than ten or twenty.

"You have seen...I think twelve is the proper number...yes, twelve, since I didn't have the opportunity to use the fourth one I set for myself for that little practice session with Cheren." She nudged them down off her back, one by one. "So, which first? This is the training grounds for Syrup...for the record, no one will bother us here except maybe the old Skuntank herself."

"Well... alright. So... anyway, Serena... about Royce's tail... have you ever eaten it like I have?" Kyn wondered.

"I have eaten Royce entirely...yes. from his face, to his legs, to his tail and...other things." She answered, and stepped away from them, just two steps, but it was space. "Well since Kyn does not have an answer for me on which first, Tensa. What first?"

"Well, actually, I suppose a spar would be nice. As Kyn may have said though, just because I'm the strongest in his party, doesn't necessarily mean anything though." Tensa said.

Kyn waited until Tensa had answered before speaking, "I don't suppose... you'd be willing to share that experience with me? I mean that in both ways, by the way."

At Kyn's question, she reopened the link. "Sit down then Kyn, if you're going to spend the time as a part of the dragon, you may as well not be distracted by your own body." She inclined her head. "Just means that I don't have to hold back as much, so long as it's within the bounds of not killing you." She licked her nose, then stretched and waited for his reply before stepping further away into what was the typical distance for the human battling field, and she hoped that Kyn had actually sat himself down before she sucked him in so that her feelings were his.

As soon as the word sit was uttered, he instantly collapsed, as if his legs has given way, though of course in a much more controlled way.

"So basically, something that I rarely experienced on the other side." Tensa said, crossing his arms.

"Ha, well, I suppose not, I might just become your sparring partner for when you get bored." As she spoke, Kyn should have been able to feel the memories she was evoking, every little win, every successful hunt, and of course the black of her mind that screamed for blood. This colored her scales with the blue green energy. "If you're planning on treating me like a lady, scrap it."

"What in the seven hells does... treating you like a lady mean? You've got more balls than half of the males you encountered in my world." Tensa said, half jokingly, the first part, seriously the second part.

"Mmm...You would be surprised at how many males insist upon having ladies go first, it's a good way to get killed." Even as she spoke, green energy came off of her and shaped into leaves, which of course, as Kyn would be able to read the source of the moves as they were used, this she had gotten from Geo's Cherrim. Magical leaf.

"You mean... you don't like it when males say ladies first? That's a bit of a surprise," Heji commented.

Tensa saw the move, and yes, had encountered it before, so he knew that there was no chance in dodging it, so instead he brought up his Leaf Blade to protect himself from it a bit, either that or to get some target practice, an reaction time increase practice.

She released the leaves, aiming them right for the lizard's head, just as if it was a real battle, meaning he would have to protect himself one way or another. "Now's not the time to be talking to me about mannerisms outside of battle Heji." She didn't wait for him to recover, the next attack was already being charged, a Shadow claw--yes, she was purposely using moves that wouldn't affect him as much as the other things she had.

Tensa kept his Leaf Blade up, now preparing to use it as a guard, when he decided to use a series of moves he hadn't used in a long time. Agility, plus Double-Team. Though she would notice, that it wasn't an ordinary double team. Instead of using it in the normal way of creating multiple afterimages, he essentially only had one, that was basically a stack of a whole bunch. He approached her carefully, and prepared to use one of the Normal type moves that was always in his line up, Slam.

Her pupils narrowed into a slit, of course, that was if he could get close to her, and they both knew it. Her claws swiped out about when he was half way down the line, leaving the streak of purple energy in it's wake, Oh, for sure, it wouldn't hurt the 'normal' copies of him, but it should hurt the actual version of him, should it hit. Of course she backed up while the energy was streaking too--special attacks, they were her strong suit...and while she liked to get her claws dirty...she wasn't even going to attempt it against the forest king.

As this was a defensive strategy, and not an offensive strategy he changed tactics slightly when it came to using his speed. He had, after seeing the energy, made his best guess at what she would do. He didn't however expect her to back up, and so he spread his split up wrong, and managed to get hit, which did stop his approach, and forced him to try another one.

"Done playing games yet?" She growled out, she was playing defense yes, but with her stance she could switch from one to another in an instant. "Do be sure to let me know, I'll start using the move types which will do some damage." She seemed relaxed, even in this spar, right now they were just feeling one another out, this she knew. Her mind veered away from fire and most flying type moves, and dragon types were also on her shit list for now, when she hit water however, she stopped looking, and knew exactly what she wanted to use, if she could just get into a position to do so. At best, it would probably only knock him back, at worst, he'd react like the typical plant...and either way she looked at it, it was still just part of the game.

"Hm. I believe I'll try something else." He figured he'd drop the Leaf Blade, and do something new that he supposed Serena may have done before with her own native energy type. He formed a rather medium sized Energy Ball, and then of all things, literally ate it. Then he thought about what not to do, and of all places that came to mind, an aerial attack was one of the first things on his list, since of course, the air was Serena's domain, and his natural weakness.

She watched, and then while he was Swallowing the ball, she raised up onto her hinds, and dropped, creating deep fissures in the ground around him, and of course, being a flying type, she herself was unaffected by the ground type move. "By all means, try something new, just don't think I'm going to stand around and gawk at you while you do it."

"Well, I wouldn't expect you to, this is a battle after all." He supposed if he was quick, he could avoid being caught in the splitting ground, because by all means he wanted to avoid being forced into the air. He did charge at her, but this time, depending on at what point she used another attack, because he doubted she'd use it at the same distance as before, he would either try his best to slide underneath the attack so he'd be able to be near her underbelly, or use a Leaf Storm to cloak himself in the attack, from the other attack.

Fast--that was the one thought that came to mind as he charged her, and she rolled to one side to avoid letting him get beneath her; this was a game. Oh very much so a game of positioning, of tactics...she was letting him too close, even for a hydro pump, and so, she settled for a water pulse. The ring of water that echoed from her mouth towards him might have messed him up while he was adjusting, might even have blasted away the leaf storm. She measured the distance, trying not to let him in range again...this was going to be bad, she wasn't running out of tactics, but she was itching to dive into it; reckless.

"Ah, fuck it." Tensa jumped into the air, and use another Leaf Storm to propel himself towards Serena, after which he attempted to use a Slam on her.

Yeah, there was no way she was getting out of that one unscathed, she knew that before it was even half way there. She wasn't being kind, just that her energy switching took a LITTLE more time than that, and so, while she rose up to meet the tail with her claws-- She took her teeth to his arm, or at least would try, but with him there, she was at least going to take one of his leaf blades out of commission in the process. Of course, both of these things meant that he was up in the air, hanging from her even, not the best thing for him.

Since his arm was rather occupied he did something that he knew wouldn't really damage her but, it would more than likely disorient her slightly if he did it properly. He did his best to fight what pain there would be and channeled the energy from a Dynamic Punch into his feet, and then used that whole process to swing and land a hit on her since she would more than likely by occupied.

That...probably hurt the both of them, a kick to the neck, and at the same time, dragon hide. It only made her sink her fangs in deeper, even as she craned to escape MORE of the pain that would come from it, and used it to fling the lizard into the air. Her scales rattled for a moment as she checked the nerves, nothing really damaged, but it DID leave him wide open. She would have been a fool not to take the opening, but when she went to take off, she found that a different muscle responded. Instead of being able to take off immediately, she did a mental check and saw what responded where (So that she wouldn't hurt herself in her confusion!), and though it was an awkward take off, she managed it, and instead of meeting him at the peak of the toss as she would have had her body not rerouted itself, she would meet him half way with the aerial ace. |That's a very annoying move you have there.| she snorted, not daring to stay in the air any longer than necessary, not with that rerouting in effect, she needed to find a way to get it back to normal, like yesterday.

"No no no no! Dammit I wanted to stay out of the air!" He cried frantically, not able to think properly at the time.

"Tensa, just... Mimic her if you can," Kyn suggested. It would make sense, to counter a move of that nature in the air, with another move of the same type. Considering he'd seen a Sceptile use Mimic to counter an Aerial Ace in the same situation.

"M-hmph...yeah, sure, that's not going to protect him from the ground Kyn." While he was falling, she worked on fixing her 'confused' status, and when she did she burst into a dragon rush, sliding into him and then dashing back the other way so that he was hit not only by the bodily impact, but the closing cone of energy as well.

"Oh, that doesn't look good from down here." Heji commented idly.

Tensa definitely felt that one. Though he'd imagined that it would have been much worse had he not countered her Aerial Ace with his Mimicked one. Afterward, while he was still falling... he used Swords Dance, albeit a bit more difficultly due to only having ONE set of leaves, and then he formed an Energy Storm which he aimed for Serena's underbelly, despite the obvious resistance. He figured if anything she'd probably swat it away, but at the very least, it would have been enhanced by the swords dance.

With the turn of her body, she had her tail ready to swat him away, and he had just SEEN what that tail could do with Royce, thankfully for him, she wasn't trying to teach him a lesson, and instead he just got a 3/4 strength swat into the rocks that Syrup and Mike used to chip away at with their respective claw moves, and she received some cuts to her tail in exchange. She chose that time to whip up a razor wind around her body, as much as a defensive move as it would be an offensive move in a moment.

'Ugh. I mean it's not like I can really expect anything less from facing Serena. So many moves, but I can learn a few Dragon type moves.' "Dragon-types really are the most powerful when it comes to facing things that aren't Dragons, with exception of some Ice." Tensa commented. This time, he brought up another Leaf Blade, and carved into the rock slightly. The next thing he did was a rather obvious move, He threw the large boulder he'd carved at her, at a high rate of speed.

The Razor Wind cut through the rock and shattered it, no harm, no foul, but the air slash that came behind it, just enough to be hidden by the rock until the last moment--that would be the kicker as he had little warning to move away from it. "That's fighting 101 Tensa...don't throw something so big you can't see past it!" She would comment after the result, whether it hit or missed.
