#4 of To Love a Hybrid

I want to apologize for how LONG this one is. I didn't want it to go that long, but it flowed so well in my head. A HUGE, HUGE thank you to all the readers who read my stories and give me the great feedback to keep on writing. Also, a big thanks to Catsthix for pushing me to finish this series, Duxton for his suggestions that I went with, Sangheilinerd for his use of Nick, and another thank you to all the readers. Without further ado, the last installment of the Hybrid series.

"Man does not control his own fate. The women in his life do that for him." Groucho Marx

Ryudo just sits there, glaring at the pictures in his hands before looking at the biggest bitch he ever met in the form of a person called Jessica. God if he could only reach over the desk and strangle her right now. This fucking bitch is using the worst blackmail every just to get what she wanted.

"You know I've always gotten what I want, and now what I want is you. You will complete everything in my life Ryudo. With you by my side, everything will come true.

"Ashame the feelings aren't the same," Ryudo said with extreme malice.

"Ryudo, you know this is fate. Why not just accept it? With our families joined, we will be the most powerful and influential people in the city."

Ryudo let out a grunt and rubbed his eyes. Jessica took the opportunity and walked around the desk and gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Ryudo acted immediately, grabbing her arm and flipping her over the desk making her yell in pain as she hit the ground hard.

"WHAT THE FUCK RYUDO!!!" Derrick yelled, running over to Jessica who had a few tears in her eyes.

"Don't ever fucking touch me," Ryudo said calmly, smoothing down his doctor coat.

"WHY DO YOU LOVE THOSE ANIMALS SO FUCKING MUCH!? I can give you a family so your mother can have grandchildren to play with. Don't you want to make your parents happy? WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME LIKE YOU LOVE THEM!?" she screams at him.

"Because they know what love is. You only believe in your own world, not caring about anyone around you. They love and care for one another. They have feelings, thoughts, fears, and dreams. Something you will never, ever comprehend."

"Jessica, just ruin the fucking animal lover already. All your dreams can be fulfilled with me by your side."

Jessica ignores Derrick as she slowly gets to her feet, rubbing her backside.

"Listen to me Ryudo, I get what I want no matter what. Just know that I can have your fucking hybrids put down just like that," she emphasizes by snapping her fingers. "No one would care why I did it. If I do release those pictures, your life as you know it will be over. I know you could care less, thinking you have proven a point somehow. But what about your parents? I know you don't care about your father much, but what about your mother? You wouldn't want her out on the street would you?"

Ryudo clenches his fist tightly, every word coming out of her mouth is just making it harder to contain his anger.

"And what's your part in all this?" Ryudo says, directing his eyes to Derrick.

"My part? Oh, I get to be super of this hospital next to you."

"Like hell you will. You're just like that bitch, only caring about your reputation and not the well-being of the others."

"What's your point?" Derrick says flatly.

"I won't allow it and neither will Anthony or the board."

Jessica gives a smile before fixing her hair back.

"You have no say in the matter Ryudo darling. This hospital takes a couple of rather very lucrative government contracts. And with you and Derrick working together, you could make a lot of companies money."

"Most of those so called companies try to bribe their way out of inspection," Ryudo says angrily. "No way will I allow that to happen to the hybrids."

"That's where I come in. I'll be the one handling all the inspections."

Derrick gives a smug grin which turns into a shock expression as he sees Ryudo advancing on him. Jessica stands in between them, arms extended.

"If you think standing in front of him will stop me, you're wrong. I won't hesitate to plow right through you."

"I've had enough of this bullshit Ryudo. I own you whether you like it or not. Since I'm a fair, and sensible lady, I'll give you three days to decide your fate. Whether you submit to your fate and be with me like you're suppose to, or face the worst downfall in your life. Let's go Derrick."

"See you around 'partner'" Derrick grins before leaving Ryudo's office.

Ryudo kicks the desk hard, making it slide across the floor leaving skid marks.

"GOD FUCKING DAMMIT!!"

He fixes the desk and sits down, his face in his hands as he tries to calm down but nothing was working. The speakerphone crackled and came to life.

"Dr. Peterson, you're wanted in ICU."

"I'll be right there," Ryudo said with a strained voice.

He let out a sigh before standing up and walking to the door. Looking back, he sees the photos again and grinds his teeth in anger.

"I'll get you for this you bitch. I don't know how yet, but you won't get your way with me. Nobody owns Ryudo Peterson."

///////

Derrick opens the door for Jessica as she climbs into his car, grimacing a little from the bruise that she knows is forming on her back. He climbs into the front and starts the car.

"You should just ruin the fucker. I don't see what he has that I don't."

Jessica ignores him, looking out the window with a faint smile on her face. Derrick stops the car causing her to glance at him from the side of her eyes.

'Alright, I want to know why he's so special once and for all."

"Stop being a baby and take me home," Jessica says with a giggle.

"I'm serious."

"Oh Derrick, honey," Jessica coos, moving her hand up to caress his cheek before going down his chest. "I'm tired and my poor back hurts. You don't want your girl to be hurting do you?"

"Apparently you're not my girl if you want that asshole," Derrick says angrily, pushing her hand away. "Shit Jessica, I've done EVERYTHING you've asked me to do. Hell, I even put my neck on the line to follow Ryudo and take those pictures. Do you know what would happen to me if he found out I did it? Now, I want to know, what the FUCK does he have that I don't?"

She eyed him angrily before snorting and looking out the car window again.

"He has my heart. Every since he saved me from bullies in middle school, I've had a crush on him. I was so close to kissing him during our summer vacation when we were twelve at a sleepover in his house. But he kept avoiding me. I told myself I would do whatever it takes to get him to be mine. Sure I've been with other people, but they can't fill the hole that will be filled once Ryudo becomes mine."

"So in other words, you're just a crazy-"

Derrick couldn't finish his sentence before his head went sharply to the left from the hard slap that Jessica gave him.

"Don't you ever call me that again. I am Jessica Wynn. I will not be talked down too by the likes of you," Jessica snarled at him.

Derrick rubbed his cheek which stung and was a tad red.

"So I take it my extra part of the deal is void?"

Jessica's face turned soft, making her evil beauty show again.

"I'll give you what you want Derrick. Once Ryudo and I are married, I will take you on the ride of your fucking life, as promised."

Derrick grinned at that before starting the car up again.

//////

Ryudo pulled into the driveway before turning the engine off. He sat there in the front seat, his mind going a mile a minute. Jessica literally had him by the balls and there was nothing he could do about it. He let out a sigh before getting out and heading inside. He took off his shoes and placed them by the door before passing the living room. Shelly looked over along with Nick and give him a smile.

"Welcome back Ryudo," they both said.

"Hey," Ryudo replied, halfheartedly and walked up the stairs.

Nick and Shelly looked at each other in confusion, watching Ryudo head up the stairs. He passed Gail's room as he was on the computer learning more advance reading. His tail wagged happily seeing Ryudo but stopping seeing the look on his face.

"Ryudo, what's wrong?" Gail asked softly.

Ryudo didn't answer as he walked into his room. Stripping quickly, he grabbed a pair of boxers before heading to the shower. He turned on the water, letting it run down over his body, his mind in another world. He washed himself, but couldn't get rid of the taint that Jessica put on him. A growl escaped his mouth as his fist slammed into the tile wall, bruising a few knuckles.

"Fuck," he said angrily.

Shutting the water off, he dried himself before heading back into his room and laying down in his bed, turning off the light as he laid there, fuming angry. Gail was worried about him. He thought Ryudo would go back to the way he was when he yelled at him that night. With a small whine, he walked out his room and to Ryudo's door which was closed.

"Ryudo?" Gail said softly with a knock.

"Not now stripy," a muffled voice replied back.

"Are you going to get mad at me again for trying to speak to you?"

That comment made Ryudo's heart stop. He shouldn't be taking his frustration out on Gail. With a sigh, he got out from under the covers and went to the door. Opening it, he saw Gail standing there, his golden eyes looking at him with concern. He pulled Gail close, kissing him softly making Gail murr quietly. Breaking off, he rested his forehead against Gail's and sighed.

"I'm sorry Gail. Something beyond my control has happened to me."

"Do you want to talk about it? I want to help you the best way I can."

Ryudo smiled before leading Gail to his bed. He got in followed by Gail who stripped and cuddled next to him, his muzzle buried under his chin.

"So, do you want to talk Ryudo?"

"I'll talk stripy, but tomorrow when everybody's here. I'll need all the help I can get. In the meantime, just let me hold you."

Ryudo gave Gail a squeeze, getting a happy yip from him. He stroked his back softly, coaxing a murr from Gail before making him drift off to sleep from the relaxing petting. Ryudo looked down at him, remembering the situation he was. He didn't want to lose Gail, not again. With a sigh, he gave a small kiss to his forehead before closing his eyes, the weight of everything that's happened to him making him fall asleep fast.

///////

Jessica let out a happy hum as she stepped out the shower, towel wrapped around her slim body as she headed for her room. Grabbing a pair of panties and bra, she sat next to her vanity mirror before looking at herself. She didn't understand why Ryudo didn't want her. She was beautiful and had men nipping at her heels to be with her. Long, silver hair with blue highlights topped her head along with her topaz eyes. Her build was slim, but had decent size breasts that you could fit in one hand.

"He'll understand that this is the best option for him," she said happily, grabbing a brush and brushing her hair.

A knock was heard at her door as her mother walked in.

"Where were you today?" she asked.

"Visiting Ryudo."

"Why do you insist on bothering him? You know he doesn't like you. He made that perfectly clear at your birthday party."

"Don't worry mom. I guarantee on Friday, he will propose to me."

Her mom laughed at that making Jessica look at her evilly.

"I didn't mean to laugh honey. But I'll tell you what, if he does propose to you, I'll buy you that designer purse you keep looking at."

Jessica smiled before looking at her mother's reflection in the mirror.

"You better get your money ready then."

"We'll see dear," her mother replied, wiping a tear from her eye.

She got to the door before looking back.

"Your father went on a business trip and won't be back till Saturday. So its just me and you, sort of a girl's night in."

"Sound like fun mom."

"Dinner will be ready shortly and after we'll watch a movie together."

Jessica nodded, watching her mom leave before looking at her reflection again. Looking up, she noticed a picture and pulled it down. It was a picture of her and Ryudo at his thirteenth birthday. She was kissing his cheek while he was eating a slice of cake. She remembered that day. Ryudo was angry that he kissed her while everybody at the party laughed.

"Very soon, we'll consummate our marriage. I can't wait til you fuck me senseless on our honeymoon."

She gave a giddy laugh before getting dressed and heading downstairs to join her mother.

///////

Everybody sat in Ryudo's living room, mouth wide open at what they heard. Ryudo took another gulp of the drink in front of him before letting out a sigh.

"Jesus dude, what the fuck have you gotten into this time?" Blake said shaking his head.

"Deep shit," Ryudo replied.

"So what are you going to do?" Connor asked. "You literally have no choice but to marry that psycho."

"Looks like it. God, why didn't I listen to him. He said he heard something."

"Maybe you shouldn't have been with him in the first place," Simon spoke up.

Ryudo gave him a glare making him shut up quickly.

"In any case, what do you expect us to do?" Stephen asked.

"I need something that will trump what she has over me. Anything will do."

Everybody looked at one another, nothing coming to mind.

"Maybe one of you guys could find something on her," Ryudo said, directing his eyes to the hybrids that sat there.

"Not much we can do I'm afraid hun," Caroline said shaking her head.

"Would love to help you Ryudo, but people don't like us much as is. And if we did start snooping around on this Jessica person and got caught, we would be put down quicker than we can blink," Hosea added.

Hosea had a point sadly. The phone rang as Ryudo looked at it. With a grunt, he got up and answered it.

"Hello? Seriously? Okay, I'll be right there."

Ryudo hung up the phone and rubbed his eyes.

"Who was that?" Gail asked.

"Anthony. I'm needed at the hospital for a meeting."

Everybody started to get up and head for the door.

"Sorry we couldn't be more help man," Blake said. "If it makes you feel any better, I'll be your best man."

This got a laugh out of everybody as Ryudo chased him out the house. Saying their goodbyes, Ryudo headed upstairs and changed into something more appropriate. Walking back down, he saw Gail and Shelly watching TV.

"Try to have a good day today," Shelly said with a smile.

"Thanks," Ryudo said with a smile.

Gail got up and walked to Ryudo and gave him a kiss.

"For good luck," Gail smiled.

Ryudo pulled him into a deeper kiss making Gail murr happily. He broke off and scratched his chin, making his tail wag.

"That's for better luck," Ryudo smiled before leaving.

Getting into his car, he let it warm up before heading out. He had a small hunch about what the meeting was about as he mulled over the ultimatum that Jessica gave him. The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to murder the bitch in her sleep. Pulling into the parking lot, he got out and headed inside, getting lots of greetings from staff and patients. Reaching his office, he opened it to see none other than Derrick sitting there with Anthony.

"Morning Ryudo," Anthony said with a some what forced smile.

"Dr. Edwards," Ryudo said with a polite bow of his head.

"And don't forget moi," Derrick said with a grin.

"So what is this meeting about?" Ryudo asked, taking a seat at his desk.

Anthony looked at him before Derrick and sighed.

"Ryudo, as of today, Derrick will be acting alongside of you as acting superintendent."

Ryudo rubbed his eyes with a sigh but nodded his head.

"I understand. What will he be in charge of?"

"All of the..." Anthony paused and gritted his teeth before continuing. "All of the important surgeries and inspections."

Ryudo eyes lit up in rage.

"With all due respect Dr. Edwards, he shouldn't be allowed to be in charge of life or death situations."

"I'm sorry Ryudo. But the decision from the board is final."

Ryudo clenched his fists tightly, almost to the point that if he had claws, he would've pierced his skin and drew heavy blood. Derrick stood up and walked up to Ryudo, hand stretched out.

"A pleasure to be working with you," Derrick said with a shit eating grin.

"Derrick.....get that hand away from me before I break it and shove it up your ass."

Derrick laughed before retracting his hand.

"I hope we could be good partners together and run a good hospital. Now if you'll excuse me, I have patients to attend to."

They watched him leave before Anthony turned to Ryudo, complete rage in his eyes.

"What the fuck Ryudo? Why did this just happened?"

Ryudo was silent, head down in shame. Anthony rubbed his forehead before getting up.

"You said not to leave to this hospital with lots of baggage. But apparently, you decided to bring your own. Nice job."

Ryudo's intercom went off breaking the silence that was in the room after Anthony spoke up.

"Doctor Edwards, is Dr. Peterson with you?"

"Yes, he is sadly," Anthony responded.

"You are both needed in the pharmacy when you get a chance."

"Understood. We'll be right there."

The intercom went dead as Anthony headed for the door.

"I thought I could leave this place in good hands. But it looks like I was wrong. I'm very disappointed in you Ryudo."

Anthony closed the door softly as Ryudo sat there. Rage built inside him as slammed his fists hard into the desk,

"You will pay for this bitch. I swear on my life."

///////

Ryudo let out a sigh as he sat at his desk, reading over the various files he had to work on. A knock was heard on his office door making him raise an eyebrow but not take his eyes off his work.

"Come in."

A surgeon came in shaking his head.

"Dr. Peterson, I need to speak to you."

Ryudo directed his eyes upward to see a man dressed in the usually doctor's outfit with small glasses on the bridge of his nose.

"What can I do for you Dr. Hunt?"

"Who the hell is this superintendent that's working here? He wouldn't sign off of the liver transplant we've been waiting for to help Isiah."

"What was his reasoning for doing this? If Isaiah doesn't get that transplant, he won't recover properly and probably die."

"That's what I told that asshole but all he said was to give him some steroids to fight the infection and he'll be fine in a week."

Ryudo was livid. He worked hard to get that transplant for Isiah.

"I'll talk to him. Sorry for the trouble, Jake."

"Its okay Ryudo. I'm just a little shocked at the attitude of this person. Its like he doesn't care about the patients in this place."

Ryudo watched Hunt leave before balling his fists. Derrick's only been here for two hours and already he's pushing his weight around. He grabbed his coat before heading to Derrick's office which was down the hall. Without caring, he kick the door in to see Derrick with a nurse in his lap laughing.

"This is a hospital you jackass, not a hotel. Get back to your post Glinda."

"Yes Dr. Peterson," she said, hastily getting up, but not before letting out a giggle as Derrick pinched her butt and left the office.

"Dammit Ryudo, she was going to-"

"Why didn't you sign off for Isaiah's surgery? I worked hard to get that transplant for him."

Derrick chuckled before searching his desk for the file and looking through it.

"Isiah only has a minor liver failure. A few weeks on steroids and he'll be good as new," he said, tossing the file back down before kicking his feet up on the desk.

"Steroids will only make the infection spread faster. He needs that liver."

"And I say he doesn't. I'm the one in charge of the surgeries, not you. Now, if you're done, I need to get that nurse's number," Derrick said, standing up and leaving, but not before bumping his shoulder into Ryudo.

Ryudo was in rage. If he didn't give a damn about those pictures, he would've tossed Derrick out the window. In his anger, a single tear started to come down his cheek, remembering that he told Isaiah he would work his hardest to get that liver for him. But in just five minutes, he was denied life.

"I'm sorry Isaiah," Ryudo said softly.

///////

Jessica hummed a small tune as she pulled into Ryudo's parents driveway. She got out and walked up the cobblestone path before ringing the bell. A few moments later, Ryudo's mom opened the door and looked at Jessica with a smile.

"Good evening Jessica."

"Hello Mrs. Peterson. I hope you got my message?"

"Of course dear. Come on in. I have dinner already made."

"Thank you," Jessica said, taking off her shoes and walking into the house.

She walked towards the dining room to see Ryudo's dad, Peter, sitting at the table with a beer in his hand.

"Hello Jessica, good to see you again. So sorry about ruining your birthday party."

"Its okay Mr. Peterson."

"Please have a seat dear and we'll talk."

Jessica and Doris both took a seat. They said a silent prayer before digging into the dinner that was on the table consisting of baked ham, rice with gravy, corn and peas mixed, along with corn bread.

"So," Peter said, cutting the ham with a fork before adding some rice to it. "What did you need to talk to us about?"

"Well, I just came by to say that Ryudo may propose to me after all."

Both Peter and Doris choked a little on their food before looking at her.

"Seriously?" Doris said shocked.

"I heard it from one of his friends that I followed in the mall. I'm still in shock that I heard that."

"Which friend did you hear it from?" Peter asked skeptical.

"From Blake. I know those two are like brothers the way they hang out."

Peter and Doris looked at each other before Doris smiled widely.

"I'm so happy for you dear," Doris said, getting up and giving her a hug. "I knew you two would get together one day."

"Thank you," Jessica said with a smile.

Peter went back to eating as the girls looked at him.

"Well aren't you going to say something to her dear?" Doris asked.

"Grats," Peter said, popping a forkful of ham and rice in his mouth.

"Don't mind him dear. That's a good of a reaction as you're going to get. When do you think he will propose?"

"I don't know. I was so excited when I heard it."

"Oh, I can't wait for the wedding. You're going to look so beautiful in your gown. I better start working on the invitations then."

They giggled like little school girls before going back to dinner and chatting away. Peter stayed out of it, still not wanting to believe that Ryudo would change his mind. He made it perfectly clear that he wouldn't marry her that night. Why would he change his mind? Dinner went by quick as Peter retired to the living room, turning on the news as Doris and Jessica talked in the dining room while cleaning up.

"Do you think you could tell me Ryudo's address? I want to see our new home."

"Certainly dear. I'll give it to you before you leave."

They shared some more idle chatter before Jessica stood up to leave.

"Thank you for dinner Mrs. Peterson. It was divine."

"No problem dear. I'm just happy that Ryudo is making the right choice with his life."

"So am I,"Jessica said, an evil glint in her eyes. "I'll see you later."

Doris watched her leave before heading back to the living room where Peter was.

"And what was that all about?" she asked.

"Don't worry about it."

"You should be happy. Now we'll be able to get grand-kids to have around the house. Oh, this is so exciting. I better call my friends."

Peter watched her head upstairs before turning his attention back to the news.

"What the hell are you doing Ryudo?"

///////

Ryudo let out a sigh as he pulled into his driveway. He had to apologize to so many hybrids, telling them that the surgery they were suppose to get, they weren't going to get. The looks on some of their faces hurt his heart so bad. One of them was a cub, barely even seven years old and wasn't going to see his eighth birthday. He tried hard not to break down in the car, but the look of the wolf cub's face just made him. After calming down, he got out and heading inside.

"Welcome back Ryudo," Gail said, greeting him at the door.

He saw the red in his eyes and folded his ears.

"Are you o-"

"Stripy, please go away."

Gail whined as Ryudo walked past him and up the stairs. He heard the door close quietly before heading into the living room where Shelly was. Even she had her ears folded back slightly seeing Ryudo like this.

"I wish there was something I could do," Gail whined. "He shouldn't be going through this."

"I know Gail. But there is nothing we can do."

"Maybe we could talk to this Jessica person? Tell her to leave Ryudo alone and find somebody else. He belongs to us, not her."

Shelly chuckled at that before resuming her sewing.

"As much as I like the idea son, we have no kind of power to do anything. All we can do right now, is give Ryudo all the support we can."

Gail looked up at Ryudo's door which was closed. An idea came into his head as he went into the kitchen and put some water on to boil. Once that was done, he made Ryudo's favorite tea and brought it up to his door and knocked softly.

"Ryudo, I brought you some tea."

There was no answers as Gail knocked softly again before walking in. It was dark as his eyes adjusted quickly to see a lump on the bed under the covers. He walked over softly before sitting at the edge.

"Would you like some tea? Its your favorite."

Ryudo didn't respond as Gail let out a soft whine, putting the tea on the dresser.

"I wish I could help you Ryudo. You've done so much for me and my mom that I want to repay you so badly, but I don't know how."

He let out a frustrated growl, balling his fists as his claws dug into his pads.

"I wish this Jessica person would leave you alone. Everything was going so good until she decided to do this to you."

Ryudo heard Gail sniff softly. He turned around and pulled Gail into a tight hug, Gail burying his muzzle under his chin and whining loudly.

"I'm so sorry Gail. I don't mean to shut you out. I'm just.......really depressed."

"Talk to me then," Gail said, looking Ryudo in the eyes.

Ryudo sighed before nodding his head. He laid back down, Gail's head under his chin as he put an arm around him.

"I......watched a wolf cub die in front of me."

"What happened?" Gail said softly.

"He was suppose to get a lung transplant tomorrow. I worked hard with other hospitals to find a suitable replacement. It took some work, but I finally found one. I told him the good news and he was so excited to get back outside and play with the other kids."

Gail listened intently, hugging Ryudo tight as he felt him shiver.

"Then that asshole denied his surgery. Said the lung was better used on a regular kid with a brighter future. I argued with him over and over but he wouldn't hear nothing I said."

Ryudo was shedding tears now.

"I had to walk back to his room, seeing him laying there with his mom with a happy smile on his face. It hurt me so much when I told him they denied his lung. I saw the life literally drain out of his face as he dropped his ears. His mother started crying, asking if there was anything I could do. I told her the only thing I could do, was make his final days as comfortable as I could."

Gail held him tighter, hearing Ryudo cry his eyes out. This was all this Jessica's fault. He would make her pay for doing this to Ryudo, no matter what. Ryudo calmed down a bit, wiping his eyes as Gail just held him close.

"Feel better somewhat?" Gail asked softly.

"Not really. I know everybody at the hospital is going to start hating me."

"Why not just tell them what you told us?"

"Because they aren't as understanding as some people. The doctors working there don't like helping hybrids as is. The last thing they need to hear, is their boss is being blackmailed for being a hybrid lover."

They laid in silence for a bit until Ryudo chuckled.

"I bet my tea's cold."

Gail grinned and reached over for the tea and handed it to Ryudo who took a sip.

"Good, it's still warm. Thank stripy, I needed this."

"Your welcome," Gail smiled, his tail wagging happily.

Ryudo polished off the tea before handing Gail back the empty cup as he placed it on the dresser. He placed a deep kiss on Gail's lips, running his hand down to the rapidly wagging tail getting a growl of lust from the body he was fondling.

"Somebody's feeling frisky," Gail growled out.

"How can I not with such a hot body next to me."

"And what do you plan to do with this hot body?" Gail panted, his sheath expanding rapidly in his boxers.

"I have a few ideas," Ryudo grinned before kissing Gail again.

///////

"Not going to work today Ryudo?" Shelly asked, looking at Ryudo was laying down on the couch.

"No. I took a personal day because of all that's happening," Ryudo replied.

"You're such a nice guy Ryudo. I can't believe that this is happening to you."

"I can't believe it either. This is a cruel twist of fate. Maybe me being kind to hybrids is starting to kick me in the ass."

"Don't ever say that," Shelly said with a growl surprising Ryudo. "You are the kindest person I've ever been around. And I've never been happier to be somebody's slave. You give me the freedom to do what I want and not have to worry about the consequences."

Ryudo chuckled at that before closing his eyes.

'You said the same thing Gail did our first night together."

Shelly chuckled at that before Gail came downstairs with a big stretch.

"Morning mom, Ryudo."

"Hey stripy."

"Hey son. Sleep well?"

"Always when I'm with Ryudo," Gail smiled before joining Ryudo on the couch.

Shelly chuckled before they all turned their attention to the TV that was playing a game show. Time passed quickly before there was a knock on the door.

"I'll get it," Shelly said, getting up and putting on her collar.

Opening the door, she saw Jessica standing there.

"Can I help you miss?"

"Yes. You can get out of my way slave."

She pushed Shelly out the way making her yip in surprise. Ryudo and Gail heard the yip as they sat up and looked at the doorway. Ryudo's eyes narrowed at seeing who was in HIS house.

"What the FUCK are you doing in my house?"

"You mean 'our' house darling," Jessica smiled and looked around. "It could use a woman's touch in some places but other than that, it's beautiful."

"Get out Jessica."

"Jessica!?" Gail said looking at Ryudo before her. "So you're the cause of Ryudo's pain."

"What pain mongrel? I'm just giving him what he deserves, a REAL family with a REAL person."

Gail gave an evil snarl before letting out a yip as Ryudo pulled his tail. Shelly walked back into the living room after the rude introduction, taking a seat on the couch and resuming her sewing and trying to ignore Jessica's presence.

"And what is that mutt doing? Slave's shouldn't be allowed to do that. Why aren't you punishing her?"

"Because this is my house and she can do what she wants. Now get the fuck out before I-"

"You'll what? You forget, I OWN you Ryudo."

Shelly and Gail growled at that statement. Ryudo let out a sigh of defeat before laying back down on the couch. Gail was about to lay with him but his ear was pulled hard making him yelp in pain.

"Slaves belong on the floor."

She tried to take his place but Ryudo stood up and went to the floor with Gail.

"Stop avoiding me and get your ass on this couch," Jessica said angrily. "You're going to learn to love me."

Ryudo ignored her, laying next to Gail. Jessica balling her fists.

"You still here?" Ryudo said, looking over his shoulder.

"Don't worry. I'm going to be here for a while. See, I'm moving in so we can get to know each other better. In more ways then one."

"Like hell you are."

Jessica smiled before laying down on the couch.

"So where do I sleep? Or does your father need to see his son on the nightly news for the next week?"

Ryudo gritted his teeth.

"The only place I'll allow you to sleep is in the garage."

"You're funny Ryudo," Jessica giggled. "I'll be sleeping with you."

Ryudo groaned before turning his attention back to the TV.

"Do what you want."

"Of course I will. I'll go get my things and settle in."

They watched her leave before both Shelly and Gail snarled angrily, hackles raised high.

"She pisses me off," Shelly growled. "Such an arrogant bastard."

"You're not going to sleep with her are you?" Gail asked.

"I'd rather sleep in the garbage then sleep with her."

The door opened again as Jessica came through the door with a large black suitcase. She dropped it at the foot of the stairs and looked at them.

"Well?"

"Well what?" Ryudo asked.

"Aren't they suppose to take my bags?"

"There are no slaves in this house. If you want something done, do it yourself."

"Either one of them take my stuff, or I'll make sure they end up back where they came from so fast it'll be like lightning."

Ryudo rubbed his eyes before getting up and walking over to Jessica. He bent down and took her bag before she stopped him.

"Why are you doing that?"

"So I can shut your fucking ass up."

"I want one of them to do it."

"They're busy," Ryudo grunted, shoving her hand away before grabbing the handle and taking the bag upstairs.

She reluctantly followed him up to his room, giving a smile at where they will fuck tonight. Ryudo tossed her bag in the middle of the floor before heading to the door.

"I'll be down to hang with you love after a shower."

Ryudo didn't answer as he left. Going back downstairs, he plopped down on the couch, Gail joining him.

"You're not going to sleep with her are you?"

Ryudo laughed at that before bopping his head lightly making him giggle.

"You got a sick sense of humor."

"What do we do while she's her Ryudo? Do we act like we usually do?" Shelly asked.

"This is still my house and you belong to me, not her. So yeah, act like you usually do."

Both Shelly and Gail sighed happily at that. Things were going to get complicated.

////////

Derrick stopped at the door, reading over the notes.

"Hmm, this one works for Boeing and is looking to get pass inspection. Boeing is a high end company to boot. Wonder how much I can get for this?"

He smiled to himself before walking in.

"Okay, lets see, Donna. My name is Dr. Thomas and I'll be doing your-"

He stopped mid sentence, looking up from the folder at the patient. It was a beautiful collie, sitting on the bed with its hands in her lap while smoothing her tail down. Her ears perked up when she heard her name. She looked over at Derrick, lavender eyes locking onto his dark grey ones and smiled.

"Good afternoon doctor."

Derrick shook his head before walking over and taking a seat next to her.

"You are here for an inspection to go back to work at Boeing?"

"Yes sir," she said in a timid voice.

"Alright, we'll start with the basic check up and we'll go from there. Stand up for me please."

She stood up on her paws, coming up to Derrick's neck. He motioned her over to the scale to take her weight and height. Once that was done, he sat her back down to check her vitals and reflexes. Her tapped her right leg which responded fine, but when he tapped her left leg, nothing happened.

"Odd," he said, tapping again to get no response.

Putting the mallet down, he reached up and started to feel around the kneecap around.

"Do you feel anything when I do this?" he asked, squeezing around.

"Nothing doctor."

"She must have some bad nerves or something's blocking the signals." Derrick thought before standing up. "How long has this been going on?"

"About a few days now. I can walk perfectly fine though."

"That's not what I'm worried about. If something did happened in your leg and you couldn't feel it, you could lose that leg. I'm going to get an x-ray set up for so I can see exactly what is going on."

"Okay doctor. Should I go back to my owner in the meantime?"

"No. I'll give them a call and tell them the situation. Get comfy, because you might be here for a while."

She gave a cute giggle making Derrick blush a little before leaving the room. He shook his head, trying to figure out what the hell happened in there. With a sigh, he took her folder and set it down on the nurse's desk.

"Set this patient up for an x-ray as soon as its available."

"Yes Dr. Thomas," the nurse said, taking the folder and writing something in it.

Derrick nodded before heading to his office and taking a seat. Grabbing the phone, he dialed the number to Boeing.

"Good afternoon and thank you for calling Boeing. How can I direct your call?"

"I would like to speak with the owner of Donna."

"One moment please."

Derrick groaned at the corny music playing in the background. A few minutes later, a rough voice responded.

"This is Ricky Laverne, owner of Donna. Who is calling?"

"Good afternoon, this is Dr. Thomas from Express Scripts hospital."

"Ah, hello. How is the bitch doing?"

"She has no feeling in her left leg and said it was like this for a few days. Could you explain what happened?"

"How should I know. Just because I'm her owner, doesn't mean I have to keep watch over her. I do have business to take care of."

"I totally understand sir. But-"

"How much are we looking at to pass inspection?"

Derrick's eyes lit up at the sound of money.

"I have to see what's wrong with her first."

"Why bother. I planned on getting rid of her sooner or later. But in order to get a new one, she has to pass this inspection. I'm willing to go as high as half a million."

Derrick's breath got caught in his throat. Five hundred thousands just to fake an inspection.

"As she is now, she wouldn't pass inspection even if I did the paper work. I would have to do some kind of work on her that would be satisfactory to another inspection officer."

"Just do what you need to do. If she passes the inspection, call me back at the number I'll give you and you can expect your money in a day."

Ricky gave Derrick a number before hanging up. Derrick licked his lips in anxiety. He would never see that kind of money ever again.

"Five hundred big ones. And who says this job doesn't pay."

He gave a laugh before kicking his feet up on the desk. Yes, he was going to like it here.

////////

Ryudo sat on the couch, watching the news before his phone rang.

"Hello?"

"What are you thinking boy?" his father said on the other side.

Ryudo rubbed his eyes before sighing.

"Its complicated dad. You wouldn't understand."

"Try me son."

Ryudo looked up at Shelly who had Gail's head in her lap, running her paw softly over his ears making him murr happily. He then heard the bathroom door opened upstairs and groaned.

"I'm waiting Ryudo."

"Not on the phone. It's best if both you and mom heard this. I know I shouldn't be telling you this, but it seems like I have no choice. I'll be over in about twenty minutes."

"We'll be waiting."

The phone went dead as Ryudo hung up.

"Who was that Ryudo?" Shelly asked.

"My dad. I'm heading over there to talk to them."

"About what?"

"Everything."

Both Shelly and Gail's ears perked up at this.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Gail asked.

"Not really. But I'd rather them hear it from me then on the news for the whole world to hear our business. Whatever happens while I'm gone, just be yourself. I'll be back as soon as I can."

Ryudo tied his shoes before heading out the door. They both heard his car start up before taking off down the street. Jessica came downstairs dressed in a terrycloth robe.

"Where did Ryudo go?"

"To his parents house," Shelly replied before turning her attention to the TV.

Jessica gave an evil smile before walking into the living room and sitting on the couch across from Gail and Shelly.

"Now that my husband is gone, lets get one thing straight. While I'm living under this roof, you will never disrespect me. You will follow my orders when I say them and carry them out without complaining. I hold your life in my hands, not Ryudo. Do I make myself clear?"

They didn't respond as Jessica grounded her teeth.

"I'm talking to you mutts!!"

Gail let out a loud yawn before standing up with a stretch.

"I'm going to head to my room. Have a good night mom," he said, giving her a lick on the cheek.

"You too dear," she smiled.

They both watched him leave before Shelly picked up the remote and changing the channel to a comedy show. Jessica was livid as she stood up, snatched the remote and turned off the TV.

"You listen to me you fucking-"

"No, you listen to me," Shelly snarled, standing up in her face. "You are nothing but a spoiled brat. To do what you are doing to Ryudo makes you the bitch. Ryudo is a sweet, kind person and doesn't deserve what you are putting him through. This is HIS house and WE belong to him. So save your breath in trying to tell us what to do in HIS house."

With that said, Shelly marched past her to her room downstairs. Jessica stood there, rage in her eyes. Never before has she been talked down to like that, and by a HYBRID of all things. She'll make damn sure it wouldn't happened again.

"So you want to play that game huh? Very well. You don't know who you're fucking with bitch."

////////

Ryudo let out a sigh, looking at the expressions his parents had on their faces. His father shook his head before leaning back in the chair.

"Did you actually think we were that dense?" his father said sighing.

"Come again?" Ryudo said.

"We aren't stupid Ryudo. We both knew you were in love with Justin."

"Then why were you acting like that towards him?"

His parents were both quiet, looking at each other.

"Well?" Ryudo said.

"Because the love you use to give to us, you gave it all to him," his mother sighed. "We knew you were getting too close for comfort."

"Is that the reason you sent him away?"

"That's part of it. We tried to get some of that love back, but that only seemed to drive you away from us. So we decided to try and win that love back by giving you your own house."

Ryudo sat there as he listened to his mother speak.

"So why try and force me to marry that bitch?"

"Because of the contracts I would've gotten," his father spoke up. "With those contracts I would've gotten from Jessica's father, we would've been on easy street."

"Its always about the money with you, isn't dad?"

"I'm a business man first son. I didn't get to where I am by being soft. My job as a father, was to keep the family with a roof over their heads and food in the fridge. I did just that."

Ryudo sighed before rubbing his eyes.

"But now, it seems like all that hard work I did, is about to come crashing down all because of a psychotic girl. Nice job son."

"Sorry," Ryudo said sincerely, head down. "I really screwed up."

"Yes you did," his father said getting up from the couch. "The only option to you is to marry that dumb girl then find some way to get a divorce. It'll be expense, but I'm willing to help pay for it."

"You for real dad?" Ryudo asked looking up at him.

Peter looked at his son before giving him a soft smile.

"You're still my son and I'm still your father."

"Thanks dad," Ryudo said softly, looking down at the carpet.

His mom got up and gave him a hug which Ryudo returned.

"Thank you for being honest with us."

"Sorry for keeping this from you for so long."

"Its okay dear. We all have secrets that we don't want others to hear."

Ryudo let out a sigh before standing up.

"I got work tomorrow. Later mom, dad," he said giving them a hug each.

They watched him leave before looking at each other.

"Just like his uncle," Peter said, shaking his head. "Falling in love with a hybrid then having to deal with the consequences. Well he's his own man now and he'll have to deal with it on his own."

"You're not going to do anything?" Doris asked.

"What can I do? He got into this, he's going to have to get out."

"You might be right. But it doesn't hurt to try and help him."

"I'll see what I can do on my end. Will that make you happy?" Peter sighed.

Doris smiled before walking up and giving him a kiss.

"Yes it does."

"Good. I'm going to take a shower and get some sleep."

/////////

The lights were off as Ryudo pulled into his driveway and heading inside. Taking off his shoes, he walked up the stairs, passing by Gail's room where he was sitting on the bed reading. He looked up and gave a smile, tail wagging happily.

"Welcome back Ryudo."

"Hey stripy. You and Shelly get something to eat?"

"Yeah. I made us both a quick sandwich."

"Okay. I'm going to take a shower and get some sleep."

He walked to his room where Jessica was laying on the bed sideways, her naked body over the sheets as she struck a pose. Ryudo looked at her with uninterested eyes.

"Welcome home darling. Do you like what you see?" Jessica said lustfully.

"Not really," Ryudo said with indifference before grabbing a pair of boxers and heading to the shower.

He let the water run warm before getting in and letting it run over his body. He was still kind of surprised that his parents took what he said so well. He figured they would've denounced him as their son and take him out the will. A small smile appeared knowing they supported him. Finishing his shower, he dried off and went to his room where Jessica was still at.

"You might need another shower after we're through."

"I'm sleeping on the couch," Ryudo said, heading back out the door.

"No you're not. You're going to come over here and make love to your wife."

"Don't feel like it. I got a headache."

"Things can get very ugly for you if you don't do what I want. The choice is yours."

Ryudo balled his fists, eyes closed tight. With a beaten sigh, he turned around and closed the door, seeing the wide smile on Jessica's face before she laid back and spread her legs.

"Come on big boy, I've been waiting all my life for this."

Ryudo gagged before shaking his head.

"Like I said, I have a headache."

Walking to his closet, he took out two blankets. Using one blanket, he laid it on the floor before crawling onto it, tossing the other cover over him.

"Why aren't you sleeping with me?"

"Because, I don't feel like it."

"I bet if I was that mangy mutt, you wouldn't hesitate would you?"

"Correct," Ryudo bluntly said, getting up and turning the light off.

Jessica growled before standing up and sliding next to Ryudo, trying to get under the covers with him but was being refused by Ryudo holding them tight.

"You're really pushing my limit Ryudo. Let me in."

"You have the bed. Leave me alone."

After a few more minutes of struggling, she gave up with a grunt of anger.

"Fine, be like that. You're going to make love to me whether you like it or not."

Ryudo heard the bed springs creak as she got back on. It was quiet for a moment before he heard sniffling. He rolled his eyes before pulling the covers tightly over him.

"Don't get my pillows wet with your fake tears."

"FUCK YOU!!" she shouted.

Ryudo chuckled softly as he listened to her angry ranting. Tuning her out, he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

///////

The alarm went off, making Ryudo groan as he reached up to turn it off. He stood up and stretched, hearing his muscles groan in protest from having to sleep on the hard floor. Jessica was still out cold, snoring loudly while sprawled out on the bed. With a shake of his head, he went to the bathroom to freshen up for the day. Doing all that, he went back to his room, grabbing a pair of white slacks with a matching shirt before heading downstairs. Shelly was up already looking out the window.

"Morning Shelly."

Her ears perked up as she turned around, a happy wag to her tail.

"Morning Ryudo."

Ryudo walked behind her and gave her shoulder a gentle rub, making her murr and lean into him.

"I might go for a walk today with Caroline."

"Cool. I don't blame you for wanting to get out. Just take Gail with you. I don't trust that bitch with Gail alone."

Shelly nodded as Ryudo went into the kitchen to fix himself some tea. Gail came down shortly after, giving a big yawn.

"Morning mom, Ryudo."

"Hey son."

"Morning stripy," Ryudo said, taking a sip of his tea.

Gail walked over and gave Ryudo a hug and lick on the cheek. He fixed himself some tea also before joining his mom in the living room. Jessica walked out of Ryudo's room in her robe, joining Ryudo at the table. She looked at him in anger as Ryudo just sat there drinking his tea.

"I was cold last night. Could've used your warmth."

"You took the whole bed, plus you snore. Not exactly a winning combination in my book," Ryudo replied.

"I'll work on that. So, what time will you be home from work darling?" she smiled.

"Whenever the job is done."

"Shall I cook us some dinner?"

"I'll get take out."

Jessica growled angrily before slamming her hands down.

"Now you listen to me. I've had it with this attitude you're giving me. Whether you like it or not, I'm your soon to be wife. You will treat me like you are suppose to, with love and tenderness. I will not tolerate anymore of this attitude, otherwise, your filthy mutts, will go back to the farm where they belong. Do I make myself clear 'hubby'?"

Ryudo ignored her making her grit her teeth. With an evil smile, she pulled out her phone and dialed a number, hitting the speakerphone button.

"Vector Hybrid Farm where we have the best hybrids for sale. What can I do for you today?"

"Hello, this is Jessica Wynn."

"Ah, good morning Mrs. Wynn. What can I do for you?"

"Is this the farm where Mr. Peterson got his slave?"

"Yes it is. Does he want another one?"

"No. He wants to get rid-"

Ryudo grabbed the phone and turned it off.

"What the fuck is your problem bitch?"

"I have no problem dear," she said, smiling evilly.

Ryudo threw his cup into the sink before heading to the door, putting on his shoes as Jessica stood behind him.

"Have a good day at work darling. Give me a call when you're off so I can get dinner started."

"Fuck you."

"Maybe tonight. How about a kiss goodbye for luck?"

"I'll pass."

"Very well. Don't expect to see those fleabags when you get back then."

Ryudo stopped at the door, eyes closed in disgust. With a grunt, he turned around to see Jessica smiling. Reluctantly, he walked over and bent down to give her a kiss. When his lips touched her, Jessica moaned deeply, finally getting something. She slammed him against the wall, trying to push her tongue deep into his mouth as Ryudo tried to push her off. Gail watched in the living room, a snarl on his face as his hackles raised. Ryudo managed to break free from her grasp panting for air.

"God, I've been waiting all my life for that," Jessica sighed, licking her lips to savor the taste.

Ryudo didn't say anything as he left, slamming the front door in the process. Jessica smiled happily before walking into hallway to see Gail and Shelly snarling at her.

"I told you mutts, he belongs to me. I can have you put down like that," she said snapping her finger. "Now if you'll excuse, I need to fix up our house."

She hummed a happy tune while going up the stairs and into Ryudo's room.

"I'll rip her throat out," Gail snarled angrily.

"Behave yourself son," Shelly said, trying to contain herself as well.

A knock on the window caught their attention. Turning around, they saw Caroline and Nick standing there. With a smile, they went to get their collars before slipping out the front door.

////////

Ryudo sat in his office, head in his hands. Walking into the building was bad because all he got were death stares from employees and patients alike. He didn't want it to end up like this. His train of thought was broken when his intercom went off.

"The budget meeting is about to begin Ryudo. Head over to the conference room."

"Yes sir Dr. Edwards."

Ryudo walked out his office and down to the conference room. Opening it, he saw all the heads of the department look at him before ignoring his presence. With a sigh, he sat down at the far end of the table, making sure to not be near anybody. Edwards walked in before taking a seat at the head of table, looking at everybody.

"Where is Derrick?"

"Who cares where that asshole is. He's turning this hospital into a hell hole," a doctor spoke up.

"I embalmed more hybrids in the past week then I had in a year. This can't keep up."

"Well," Edwards spoke up. "You can blame everything that is happening to this hospital on Ryudo."

Everybody looked at Ryudo as he sunk lower into his seat, trying to disappear.

"I knew he was nothing but trouble," Philip spoke up.

"I can't even feed our patients the proper diet because we don't have the proper food. I asked this asshole of a super why he's ordering the lowest grade food and all he said was be grateful they are getting anything at all." Michelle growled.

The door opened as Derrick walked in, talking loudly on the phone.

"Look, we'll talk about this some other time beautiful. Right now, I'm busy. Of course we're on for tonight. Look, I have to go, bye."

He hung up as everybody looked angrily at him.

"You're late," Edwards said angrily.

"Sorry. The ladies love me in my doctor's outfit. So, what did I miss?" he said, taking a seat and putting his feet up.

"First off, get your feet off the desk and act maturely."

"Geez, grouchy much," Derrick chuckled, removing his feet.

"Now, does anybody have any questions before we begin this meeting?" Edwards asked.

"Yeah I got one? How soon can you find another lead surgeon? Cause if this asshole stays here, I'm leaving," Hunt spoke up.

Edwards looked at Hunt in confusion.

"Hunt, we've been here since this place was built. Surely, you can't be serious."

"I'm dead serious. I had to watch at least five people die on my table because of bad transplant organs or bad information on their charts. I may not like helping hybrids, but I do care about saving lives. And its obvious this fucker doesn't."

"Hey," Derrick said looking at him with an offended face. "I had good reason to deny or replace some of those organs."

"Then let's hear them," Edwards said.

"Half of those patients were going to die regardless if they got the transplant or not. So why waste time on them when somebody else could put those organs to better use."

"You mean someone like humans?"

"Well, yeah," Derrick shrugged.

All the hybrids let out a growl at that as Derrick shivered.

"That does it," Hunt said, slamming his hands down standing up. "Either he leaves by the end of the month, or I do."

"That goes for me as well," Michelle said.

"And the rest of us."

Edwards looked as all the doctors left the conference room leaving only Derrick, Ryudo, and him. Derrick chuckled before putting his hands behind his head, leaning back in the chair nonchalant.

"You don't need them do you Ed? You could always hire better people. I know a couple of doctors that would be great help."

Edwards walked over and lifted Derick easily by his shirt.

"Listen you little shit, I've known all those people far longer than you. If anybody is going to get fired, it's going to be you."

"You can't, remember."

Edwards growled before tossing him back down on the chair and looking at Ryudo.

"This is your problem, you deal with it. I'm not losing a hospital I've built from the ground up because of some punk ass little bitch."

Edwards left with a slam of the door leaving Ryudo alone with Derrick. Derrick looked at Ryudo who had his head in his hands.

"You got my back, don't you Ryudo?"

"Derrick, get out before I do something I regret."

Derrick chuckled before standing up and heading for the door.

"Don't worry buddy. When I get paid, I'll treat you to a drink."

Derrick left with a laugh before his name was announced over the speaker.

"Dr. Thomas, please report to room three twenty five."

"That's Donna's room. Guess they have her x-rays ready. Better go see her then, fix her up and get paid."

////////

"So, how's everything going with Ryudo?" Caroline asked, walking down the forest path.

"It's horrible. That Jessica bitch decided to move in and it's causing all kinds of problems," Gail growled.

"I feel sorry for Ryudo," Nick added, stretching his wings. "Bad things always happen to good people."

"The way things are now, I don't know how long I can contain my anger. I want to slice open her throat in her sleep so bad," Gail sighed.

"Don't worry Gail, things will turn out good in the end," Caroline said with a smile.

They came to the open field, sun high in the sky as the cool wind blew through their fur. They all took a seat on the grass, Shelly cuddled next to Nick who had his wing around her. Gail stared off in the distance, knees pulled up to his chest. Caroline gave him a small nuzzle on the cheek making him smile.

"You're worrying over something that you can't help with. Have faith in Ryudo. He'll come up with something to get everything back to normal."

"I know. But its tough seeing her boss him around like those assholes did to us back at the farm. I can't even sleep with him anymore with her around."

Caroline chuckled before laying down, letting the sun warm up her stomach.

"Lay down and relax your troubles away Gail. Even if its just for today."

Gail nodded before laying down, the sun warming him up making him murr happily. His eyes started to get heavy before he closed them, passing out in the beautiful weather.

////////

"Okay Donna, your x-rays are here. I'll take a look at what we are dealing with," Derrick said, placing the film on the board before hitting a light switch.

Donna walked over and took a look with him as Derrick gave a grimace at what he saw.

"Is it bad?" she asked.

"Well, you have a nasty blockage on some of your nerves and what appears to be a lot of dead tissue that's building up causing massive infection to climb up the blood and start to infect the arteries."

"What does that mean?"

"Well in short, you might lose your leg from the kneecap down to save it. I'll have to get another doctor to look at it."

Donna let out a small whine at that as Derrick looked at her.

"So I'll never walk again?"

"We can get you a prosthetic leg which will take some time to get use to in rehab. But don't worry, if it comes to that, I'll be there to help you through it."

Donna gave a smile at that before sitting back down on the hospital bed. Derrick grabbed the film before heading for the door.

"I'll let another doctor look at these and get a second opinion on the matter. I'll let you know what he suggests. Also, I'll call your owner and let him know the situation."

Donna nodded as Derrick left her room and down one floor to Hunt's office. He gave a knock before walking in, noticing Hunt working on a ton of paperwork on his desk. He looked up from his work and gave a look of disgust before going back to work.

"What the fuck do you want? I'm trying to work here, unlike you."

"I need to get a second opinion on these x-rays."

"Why?"

"The hybrid is looking to get past inspection."

"So in short, you want to fake her inspection so you can get paid?"

Derrick did a double take as Hunt looked up at him.

"I'm not stupid Derrick. All those surgeries I did, were fixed all along so that the hybrid could get pass inspection and you could get some pocket money on the side?"

Derrick gave a small swallow. If this guy knew all along about what he was doing, he could go to jail, or worse.

"It's not like that. You see-"

"Save it kid. I've seen this happen before. Give me the x-rays," Hunt said standing up.

Derrick nodded and handed him the film as Hunt snatched them and put them up on the light board.

"Hmm, bad buildup of dead tissue in the leg blocking the nerve signal to the brain. Looks like hybrid is going to lose that leg from the knee down. Can't really do anything to save it since the infected tissue will spread if cut the wrong way."

Hunt took the film down and shoved them back into Derrick's chest before walking back to his desk.

"If that's all, then get the hell out. I have other things to do."

Derrick was about to leave before Hunt stopped him.

"One other thing. If I find out another hybrid dies just to pass inspection, consider yourself royally fucked. Like I said in the meeting, I may not like hybrids, but I like preserving life. Be they human or animal. Now get out."

Derrick swallowed again before leaving Hunt's office. He walked back up to his office and sat down, grabbing the phone and punching the number Ricky gave him.

"Hello, Mr. Laverne?"

"Ah, hello Dr. Thomas. What's the word?"

"Well, she's going to have to lose her left leg but will be replaced by prosthetic."

"How long are we talking about for rehab?"

"At least a month."

"Any other way to get past inspection?"

Derrick thought about what Hunt said and shivered.

"Afraid not sir."

"Bah, then what good are you to me. I can't afford to wait a month on some stupid bitch of a hybrid. I'll just get another one."

"What will I tell Donna?"

"Don't give a fuck. Lose my number and never call me again."

The phone went dead as Derrick looked at it.

"Great. There goes half a million down the drain."

With a sigh, he got up and walked to Donna's room where she was sitting on the bed watching the TV on the wall. Her ears perked up when the door opened and Thomas walked in.

"Well, what did the doctor say?"

"There's no way around it. You are going to lose that leg from the knee down."

"I see," Donna said softly.

"But like I said before, it'll be replaced with a prosthetic one."

Donna sighed, rubbing her leg softly.

"What did my owner say?"

Derrick was quiet before looking at her.

"He said he didn't want to wait for your rehab, so he got rid of you."

Donna was quiet, ears folded and tail limp on the bed.

"So, I guess once the operation and rehab are over, I'll go back to the farm I was bought."

Derrick rubbed the back of his head before heading to the door. He didn't know what to say in this situation.

"Um, I'll get your surgery ready."

Walking out the room, he stood at the door for a minute, his thoughts beginning to betray him. Shaking his head, he went to the nurse's station and handed the nurse her file.

"Have the patient ready for surgery when ready."

"Is she another victim of yours?" the nurse said angrily, snatching the folder away.

"Excuse me?"

"Don't play dumb. I know you fake surgeries to get hybrids pass inspections."

"And what proof do you have?" Derrick said angrily.

The nurse just smiled before turning her back.

"Wouldn't you like to know?"

With that said, she walked off, file in hand to the elevator. Derrick balled his fist before heading to his office. Once he got inside, he did a double take. There was trash all over the place as his desk was turned over with the words 'sellout' carved into the wood. Derrick let out a grunt, standing his desk up right.

"I see where this is going. It's all good."

///////

Ryudo let out a sigh as he pulled into the driveway. Turning off the off the engine, he walked up to the front door and inserted the key, only to find that the key wouldn't open it.

"What the hell?" he said, trying again but no go.

The door opened as Jessica stood there in her bathrobe, half her chest exposed.

"Welcome home darling."

Ryudo didn't say anything as he turned on the porch light and looked at the door. Installed was a brand new door lock, which would explain why he couldn't open it.

"What the hell happened to my door?"

"I had the door lock changed."

"Who the fuck gave you the right to do that?" Ryudo said pissed off.

"It was time to change them anyway. They were getting old."

Ryudo grunted before pushing his way past her, taking his shoes off. He walked past the front room expecting to see Shelly, but didn't. That was odd because she was always in the front sewing and watching TV.

"Where are Shelly and Gail?"

"Why should I care about some stupid mutts?"

Ryudo went down the basement to find it empty. He hurried upstairs to Gail's room which was empty too. Furious, he went downstairs and slammed Jessica against the wall by her shoulders making her gasp.

"Where are they?"

"I haven't done anything to them," she said angrily.

He let go of her before taking out his phone and dialing Blake's number.

"Blake, have you seen Gail and Shelly?"

"Yeah, they are over here. Shelly came down with something and Caroline thought it would be best if they stayed here."

Ryudo breathed a sigh of relief at that.

"Thanks man. I owe you."

"Yes you do. Gail can eat like a horse man. You should've warned me."

Ryudo laughed at that before shaking his head.

"He's a growing boy, what do you expect. Thanks for looking out for them for me. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Later man."

Ryudo hung up as Jessica looked at him.

"Well, now that we have the house to ourselves, how about we get wild?"

Ryudo ignored her, walking back up to his room and grabbing a pair of boxers before heading to the bathroom. He closed the door, making sure to lock it as he jumped into the shower. He rested his head against the tile wall, eyes closed in thought. On the offhand, the door did need a new lock so that was something Jessica did right for once in her life. He was so occupied in his thoughts, that he didn't hear the door opened and closed softly. But he did scream when he felt hands on his back.

"What the FUCK!!?" he screamed, turning around to see Jessica standing there.

"You seemed tense, so i figured I give my husband some stress relief."

She got to her knees quickly, eying his flaccid cock with hunger. She was about to reach up for it when Ryudo turned back around, shutting the water off and getting out.

"I'm trying to relieve your stress. Why won't you just give in?" Jessica snarled.

Ryudo didn't say anything as he dried himself off, not caring if Jessica saw him or not.

"How the fuck did you get in here?"

"I had the locksmith give me keys for all the rooms in the house."

"Perfect," Ryudo sighed. "I can't even take a shower in peace."

Drying off, he walked into Gail's room and laid down on his bed, getting under the covers. Jessica walked to the door and looked at him.

"So when do you want the wedding?"

"Never."

"You'll change your mind once you see this is the best for you. We'll live so happily together when we have a family. My dad and mom are going to be here tomorrow to say hi. So make sure your stupid mutts behave themselves. Otherwise, it's going to be a one way trip back to hell for them."

With that said, she left the front of the door and into Ryudo's room, closing the door. Ryudo laid in the bed, curling his fists into tight balls.

"God, just kill me now."

///////

Derrick gave a knock on the door before walking in. Anthony looked up from his desk before going back to what he was doing.

"Yes?"

"Dr. Edwards, my office was trashed a few days ago."

"And what do you want me to do about it?"

"Well, fire whoever did it for starters."

"Well then, find out who did it and I'll make sure they are given the pink slip."

"That's all?"

Anthony stopped writing before looking at him.

"What else do you want? You already turned this place into your personal playground. What more do you want?"

"I want some respect around here."

"Then earn it. If that's all, then have a good day."

Derrick threw his hands up in frustration before leaving the room. A nurse walked up to him, a folder in her arms.

"Dr. Thomas, here's your patient's file."

He took the file and read it over before nodding his head.

"Look's like the surgery went well. Better go see how's she doing."

He took the stairs down and into the hallway towards Donna's room. He gave a couple of knocks before walking in. Laying on the bed with the top half elevated was Donna. She was sipping on some water when her ears perked up and saw Derrick walking in.

"Hello Dr. Thomas," she said with a smile.

"Hello Donna."

He looked down to see he left leg by her kneecap was wrapped up in a bandage.

"The operation went well. They managed to get all the dead tissue and your body should be healing great now."

"That's nice to hear. When will I get my fake leg?"

Derrick looked at his file before taking a seat.

"Well, looks like they have it scheduled for Friday, which is in a couple of days. Once you are fitted, your rehab will begin."

"I guess that's a good thing," Donna said softly.

Derrick chuckled before walking up to her bedside.

"You should be lucky. Most hybrids don't get prosthetic legs."

"I bet it's going to look ugly on me."

"We'll get it made so it matches your fur. Once you get use to walking again, it'll feel like you never lost your leg."

"Thank you."

Derrick was about to say something when he name was heard over the intercom.

"Doctor Thomas, please report to ICU."

"Looks like I'm needed elsewhere. I'll see you Friday for your rehab start."

"Okay."

Derrick gave a nod before leaving her room.

///////

"Now I want your fleabags to be on their best behavior or consider them dead," Jessica said angrily.

Ryudo ignored her as he sat on the couch with Gail and Shelly. The doorbell rang as Jessica hurried over to answer it.

"Hello mom, good to see you."

"Hello dear," her mom said, giving her a hug.

"My baby girl's all grown up now," her father said giving her a hug also.

Jessica guided them into the living room where Gail and Shelly stood up and gave a bow.

"Good afternoon sir and madam," they both said together.

"Why are they sitting on the couch and not on the floor?" her father said.

"Because this is my house," Ryudo said, not taking his eyes off the TV.

"Well, where are we suppose to sit?"

"Find an empty seat and park it."

Gail and Shelly had to hold in their laugh as Jessica's parents were fuming.

"Dad, mom, let's sit in the kitchen. We don't want to catch anything from the mongrels."

They walked into the kitchen and took a seat.

"I'm so happy for you dear. When is the big day?" her mom asked.

"We're looking at the end of next month."

"Where's the ring at?" her dad added.

"We're getting it tomorrow. We had to wait cause it was a special order."

"He's finally becoming a man. Took long enough to see the light."

"Oh dad, leave him alone. He's a doctor now you know. He has a lot on his mind."

Her mom let out a snort of disgust at that.

"He should be working at a human hospital. Working on those filthy animals is not worth his time."

"That's what I told him but he insists. I let him do what he wants cause it makes him happy." Jessica said with a smile.

"Well, show me around your new house hun," her mom said getting up.

"Okay mom."

They walked upstairs, idle chatter between them as her father came into the living room and took a seat across from Ryudo.

"You are making the best decision of your life."

"Sure I am," Ryudo replied.

"Think about it. Jessica's being dying to be with you all her life. You are the perfect match for her."

Ryudo ignored him as Jessica's father looked at Gail and Shelly.

"So, these are your hybrids huh?"

"Yes."

"And they do what they are told?"

"They do what they want under my roof."

"And why is that? We control them. So why treat them like that?"

"Let me ask you a question then. Do you have a boss?"

He looked at Ryudo with a weird expression.

"Yes, I have a boss."

"And do you do what he or she asks?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because I want to keep my job."

"Don't you want to do what you want without any consequences?"

"What are you getting at Ryudo?"

"You figure it out," Ryudo said, going back to the TV.

Jessica's dad gripped the chair hard, teeth grinding together. This little punk was trying to psych him out, and was doing a damn good job of it.

"You got a bad attitude you know that?"

"Don't like it, the door's right there. Excuse me if I don't see you out."

He was about to say something else when Jessica and her mom came back downstairs.

"This house is lovely. I can't wait for the wedding. You are going to look so beautiful in your gown."

"Thanks mom."

"Let's go Dennis. We have things to do and plan."

Dennis looked at his wife before back at Ryudo.

"You better fix that attitude of yours boy. Otherwise, things could get ugly."

"How uglier could it get? I'm already marrying your daughter. Isn't that bad enough?"

Gail couldn't help but snicker at that as Dennis looked at him.

"And what's so funny mutt?"

"Nothing sir," Gail said, ears folded.

"I heard you laugh," he said walking up to him. "Now tell me what's so funny?"

Gail said nothing, keeping his head down. Dennis growled and raised his hand, about to hit Gail when his arm was caught in mid swing.

"Touch him, and you'll lose this arm."

"Ryudo, let my father go," Jessica shouted.

"You're playing with fire boy. Make sure you don't get burned."

Dennis snatched his arm away before leaving with his wife. Jessica watched them leave in their car before slamming the door and marching into the living room.

"What the fuck was that about Ryudo?"

"I was protecting MY property. I'm allowed to do that."

"When we get married, those fucking beasts are OUT of this house."

She marched up the stairs, slamming the door hard. Gail let out a sigh before looking at Ryudo.

"I'm sorry."

"For what? Don't worry about anything. He can't do nothing cause you guys belong to me, not him."

Both Gail and Shelly's tails wagged happily at that before they turned their attention back to the TV.

Friday rolled around as Derrick grabbed Donna's file before heading to her room. He gave a couple of knocks before walking in. Donna was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking down at her new attachment. You could hardly tell it was a fake unless you walked up to it and gave it a knock.

"Looks like the leg is a good fit. And it blends perfectly with your fur."

"It feels weird," Donna said, giving it a pass over with her hand.

"It'll take some time to get use to. But like I said, once you do, it'll feel natural. Well, let's go get your rehab started. Let's up head to the center."

Donna nodded, gingerly stepping onto the fake leg which gave way. She let out a yelp of surprise, closing her eyes waiting for the impact of the hard floor. When nothing happened, she opened her eyes to see Derrick holding onto her.

"That first step is a killer isn't it?" Derrick said with a smile.

She smiled back as he helped her to her feet. Derrick gave her a cane which she took happily. Using it, she took another careful step, feeling the metal on her left kneecap try to adjust to her weight.

"It feels so weird," Donn whined, ears folded.

"Just give it some time Donna. Come on, the center is just on the top floor. We'll take the elevator."

Hopping on the elevator, they headed to the top floor where the rehab center was. He lead her inside to some balancing bars.

"Okay Donna, hand me the cane and use these bars to walk back and forth. Take your time so your muscles can get use to the metal."

Donna nodded her head, handing Derrick the cane and grabbing onto the bars. She took small steps, feeling the metal bend to accommodate her weight. She lost her balance a couple of times, but didn't hit the ground thanks to the bars she was holding onto.

"I can't do this," Donna whined.

"Of course you can. You are counting yourself short."

"Easy for you to say. You still have both your legs."

They stayed in there for a couple of hours until lunch time. A nurse brought Donna her food as Derrick munched on an apple with some yogurt.

"So Dr. Thomas, tell me about yourself." Donna spoke up to break the silence.

Derrick choked on his apple a little before looking at her.

"Well.....what would you like to know?"

"Why did you become a doctor?"

Derrick was quiet before chuckling.

"I guess I wanted a challenge. Some people said I was wasting my time and my skills were better put to use elsewhere. But I guess I proved them wrong."

"Do you have any relatives?" Donna asked, sipping on some herbal tea.

"I have a sister. Don't really talk to her much since she moved to college in Tacoma. How about you?"

"I have two older brothers. They both got bought by a large company for heavy labor. I really wish I could know how they are doing."

Derrick took another bite of his apple before leaning back on his hands.

"How old are you doctor Thomas?"

"Twenty five."

"Do you have a special someone in your life?"

Derrick thought about Jessica before sighing.

"I thought I did, but she has eyes for somebody else."

"I'm sorry to hear that."

"Thanks," Derrick said softly. "How about you?"

"I never had time to look for one. My owner kept me so busy that I didn't even have time for myself. There were several males where I worked and would've loved to get to know one better."

Silence was golden for a few minutes as they munched on their food. Once they were done, Derrick gave a stretch before offering his hand to Donna. She looked up at him and smiled, accepting his hand as he pulled her up gently. They looked at each other before Derrick motioned to the bars.

"Let's give this another couple of hours then we'll call it a day."

"Okay."

Jessica hummed a happy tone, Ryudo trailing along behind her with a look of total disgust on his face.

"Here we are love. They should have the rings all ready for us to try."

Ryudo grunted a response as Jessica went into the jewelry shop. The cool A/C breeze hit Ryudo's face making him shiver a little. A fat pudgy man was behind the counter when he saw them come in.

"Ah, Ms. Wynn. I was expecting you."

"Hello Larry. Have the rings arrived?"

"They arrived last night. DUNCAN, front and center!"

A dalmatian walked out from the back and did a small bow.

"You called for me master?"

"Yes. Hurry and grab Ms. Wynn rings from the safe."

"At once master."

Duncan left the room, coming back a few minutes later with two small jewelry boxes. Larry snatched before pushing him away.

"Why did it take so long? My customers don't like to wait."

"Forgive me master. I forget the combination for a second," Duncan said, ears folded.

"God you are so useless," Larry snorted when the front door opened. "Go see to the new customers."

"At once," Duncan said, hurrying over to the people standing by a necklace case.

Ryudo watched with anger as Larry and Jessica looked at the rings.

"Let's have a look," Jessica said, opening one up.

Inside was a beautiful gold ring with a large diamond in the middle that was surrounded by emeralds. On the inside of the band, her name engraved. Her eyes widened in surprise as her breath was taken away.

"Larry, this is......this is beautiful."

"Thank you Ms. Wynn. I had the jewelers worked extra hard on them."

"Ryudo darling, aren't these rings beautiful?"

Ryudo ignored her as Larry looked at him.

"Are they not to your liking sir?"

"Don't mind him. Can I try it on?"

"Please do."

Jessica slipped the ring on her finger, feeling the cool metal around her flesh.

"A perfect fit. Look love, ain't it beautiful?"

Ryudo had his eyes closed as he leaned on the counter. Jessica gritted her teeth as a few people looked their way.

"Would you like to try yours sir?"

"No I wouldn't."

Jessica was about to respond when a short yell was heard.

"Your clumsy hybrid, you cut me with your claw," a lady screamed.

"I'm sorry madam. It was an accident," Duncan said, head bowed.

Larry hurried over and gave Duncan a punch straight to the face making him yelp and fall to the ground, holding his cheek.

"How many more times can you fuck up Duncan?"

"Forgive me sir. I didn't..."

"Shut up," Larry growled, giving him a kick.

He raised his fist to strike again when Ryudo grabbed his arm and slammed his face hard onto the display case making people gasp in shock as Larry fell to the floor.

"He apologized. That should be enough for a fat fuck like yourself."

He looked at the lady that yelled noticing that she had a barely noticeable scratch on her finger.

"Are you going to die from that flesh wound your majesty?" Ryudo said in disgust.

The lady was too in shock to say anything. Jessica stormed over, raising her hand to slap him but her hand was caught with ease.

"You are so screwed when we get home."

"Whatever," Ryudo snorted, letting her hand go.

He looked over at Duncan and gave a small smile which Duncan returned softly. With that done, he left the store, Jessica shouting at him all the way.

"It's always about those stupid animals. Why can't you just be normal for once? You're a human for fuck sakes."

"Are you done?" Ryudo said, rolling his arm.

She snarled angrily before spinning him around. She wanted to slap him so bad, but knew it wouldn't work as she stared evilly into his eyes.

"You are going to try on your tux. And so help me god, if you fuck up, I'm ending your life. Do I make myself clear?"

"Whatever."

////////

"But mom, I don't want a shot," the small akita cub yip.

"It'll help you honey. You're still sick and the medicine that's in the shot will help you get better. Isn't that right doctor?"

"Of course it will," Derrick said, putting on some gloves.

"But it's going to hurt. Look how long it is."

Derrick smiled before pulling a rolling stool up and sitting in front of cub.

"What's your favorite toy in the whole world Junior?"

"A toy car," Junior yipped happily.

"Really!? That's mine too. I'll be right back, so just sit tight."

Derrick left the room, coming back a few minutes later with a two miniature toy cars. Junior's tail wagged non stop as he looked at them.

"Let's make a deal Junior. You be a big, brave cub for me, and you can have them both."

"Really!?"

"Scout's honor."

He looked at the needle on the table before looking at the cars. He swallowed before nodding his head. Derrick smiled before getting up. He gently held Junior's arm, feeling for the vein. Once he found it, he applied an alcohol pad to clean the area. Grabbing the needle, he uncovered the top making Junior whine loudly.

"It's going to be okay Junior. Its just a tiny pinch and then nothing."

Junior closed his eyes and Derrick felt for the vein again. Finding it, he pushed the needle in getting a loud yelp from Junior. He quickly pushed the liquid in, pulling the needle out before placing a gauze on the hole and applying a bandage.

"There we go. That wasn't so bad was it?" Derrick said softly, placing the cover back on the needle before tossing it in the needle waste. "And as promised, here you go."

He handed Junior the toy cars as he yipped happily.

"Thank you."

"You're quite welcomed."

"Thank you doctor," Junior's mom said.

"No problem. That should help stabilize his blood flow. If the problem persists, let me or one of the nurses know and we'll set up an MRI."

"Okay. Come on Junior, lets go. Our master is waiting."

"Okay. Thank you again doctor."

Derrick gave a wave before his name was called.

"Dr. Thomas, please report to rehab."

"Time for Donna's rehab. Better hurry."

Washing his hands, he headed up to the top floor and into the rehab where Donna was waiting for him in a wheelchair. Her ears perked up when she saw Derrick.

"Hello doctor."

"Hey Donna. You ready to go again?"

"Yes."

"Okay, let's begin then."

Derrick watched Donna walk between the bars, making notes on what he saw in-case something goes wrong. For some unexplained reason, he liked being around her. It was sort of comforting to him. His mind was screaming at him to stop thinking like that, but he couldn't shake that feeling. He told her to stop for a bit as lunch was brought up to them.

"How am I coming along?" Donna asked.

"You are showing great improvement. It seems like your muscles are adapting to the prosthetic very nicely. Your balance still needs a little work though," Derrick replied, looking through the notes he took down.

"It stills feels a little weird, but I'm getting use to it little by little."

They were quiet for a bit until Donna spoke up.

"What's going to happen to me once my rehab is over? I don't have anywhere to go."

Derrick was quiet before responding.

"I don't know. Let's not look that far into the future. By the way, you said you had two older brothers. How old are they?"

"Jason's twenty nine and Patrick's twenty seven."

"How old are you?"

"You have my file. You should know," Donna giggled softly making Derrick blush.

He looked at the file, seeing her birthday was next week.

"You'll be twenty four next week. Tell you what, in honor of that, I'll take you outside for rehab that day. Fresh air would do your body good."

Donna's ears perked up at that as her tail wagged happily.

"That would be great doctor."

"Cool. Well then, shall we continue?"

///////

Ryudo sat in the backyard on the swing along with Gail, Shelly, Nick, Blake, and Caroline. In a few more weeks, he'll be married to probably the worst person in the world. How could he let himself be setup like that.

"You going to have a bachelor's party right?" Blake asked with a chuckle.

"Shut up," Ryudo sighed.

"Ryudo, what's going to happen to us when you do get married?" Gail asked.

"Nothing. You still belong to me and nothing will ever change that."

Kurt peeked his head over the fence and greeted everybody.

"Hello everybody!"

"Hey Kurt," everybody said.

"Your place has been pretty busy lately. Is there something going on?"

"Didn't you hear? Ryudo's getting married!" Nick said.

Kurt looked at Ryudo with wide eyes before smiling.

"Well congratulations Ryudo. I'm happy for you."

"Yeah, well don't be. This isn't the marriage I wanted."

"What do you mean?" Kurt asked.

Ryudo explained the situation to Kurt as he gave an angry snort.

"What a bitch," he said.

"No kidding. If I ever found out who took those pictures, god help them."

Jessica walked outside, arms crossed as she walked up to Ryudo.

"You know, you could help me out with our wedding."

"You mean 'your' wedding," Ryudo retorted. "This wedding is all one sided."

"That wouldn't be the case if you love me like you love those things."

"It's always about you, isn't it Jessica?" Blake sighed.

Jessica eyed him angrily.

"And why the fuck are you here on our lawn? Go the fuck home. Nobody wants you around."

"Says who?"

"Says me. Now, get off our property before I call the cops," Jessica snarled before turning around and heading to the house. "As for you darling, you're going to help me or face my wrath."

All the hybrids growled when she left.

"God, now I want to slash her throat," Caroline snarled.

"Now now dear. Let's go before you decide to do something rash. I'm going to be the best man, right Ryudo?" Blake grinned.

"I wouldn't want anybody else."

Blake smiled before giving Gail and Shelly a hug, then taking his leave with Caroline beside him. They watched him leave before Kurt spoke up.

"Well Ryudo, I wish you the best of luck. I wish I could help you somehow, but doesn't seem like I can."

"Thanks for the support Kurt. That means a lot to me."

Kurt gave a smile before disappearing behind the fence. Jessica's voice was heard through the open window.

"Ryudo, get your fucking ass in here now and help me!!"

Ryudo sighed before getting up off the swing.

"You two enjoy yourselves out here. Don't worry about anything."

"Okay," they both said, watching him walk into the house and get screamed at.

Gail let out a whine. In a few weeks, he'll never be able to mate with Ryudo again or feel his touch.

///////

Derrick sat at his desk, writing down stuff and reading files. He's been working at the hospital almost a month now and got nothing but death threats from the nurses, doctors, and even some of the patients that he screwed over just for the money. But ever since meeting and helping Donna with her rehab, he started to get these strange feelings.

"I'm not suppose to be thinking like that," he said to himself. "She's a damn animal for fuck sakes."

But that tiny nagging doubt in the back of his mind kept telling him otherwise.

"Admit it. You enjoy her company. Maybe being friends with a hybrid isn't so bad after all."

"Shut up. You don't know anything."

"I know more than you think."

"Then you know to shut up before-"

"Before what? You can't block me out no matter how hard you try. Because deep in your black heart, I'm right."

Derrick balled his fist and hit his desk. His intercom went off as he looked at it.

"What?"

"Your patient is ready for rehab."

"Fine, whatever."

"Jackass," the nurse said before ending the call.

Derrick got up and took off his doctor coat, replacing it with his outdoor coat. Walking out, he headed towards Donna's room. He gave a couple of knocks before entering. Donna was sitting on the bed, her tail wagging behind her as he entered.

"You ready to go?" he said with a little anger which she picked up.

"Yes. Is there something wrong?"

"Nothing. Let's get this over with. I have things to do."

"Okay," Donna said softly.

Derrick helped her into the wheelchair and headed to the lobby and out into the parking lot. He headed for a company car and helped her in before getting into the driver's side and taking off. Silence was golden in the car, Donna afraid to speak not knowing what was wrong. They arrived at the park as Derrick parked the car.

"Let's make this quick."

He walked to the other side, opening the door for Donna and helped her into the wheelchair. He walked to an open area near a bench and sat down.

"Okay, let's do some more work on your leg. I want you to walk from here to that tree and back."

"Do I get anything to stabilize me?"

"Not today. You need to get your body balanced. Take it one step at a time."

Donna nodded before getting up slowly. The tree wasn't that far away but it was in her mind. Derrick took a seat on the bench, notebook in hand. She looked back at Derrick before ahead at the tree and began the trek. Her steps were uneven and shaky as she used her tail for balance. Once she made it to the tree, she held onto for a bit.

"Good so far. Now head back," Derrick called.

She nodded her head and made her way back. It was going smoothly, until her left leg buckled suddenly making her yelp and fall. Derrick got up and slid under her, preventing her from falling face down on the hard ground.

"Are you okay?" Derrick asked.

Donna opened her eyes, noticing she her muzzle was inches away from Derrick face making her blush hard.

"Thank you. I'm fine," she said softly.

"What happened?"

"I don't know. I felt something pop in my leg."

Derrick sat up, Donna in his lap as he brought her fake leg up. Unzipping the fur covering, he took a look at it.

"Hmm, seems like some of the screws are bent. Hang tight and I'll replace them."

Surprising Donna, he lifted her up with ease getting a yip of surprise as she held onto him. Derrick felt her soft fur making a few shivers run up his spine. He sat her down gently on the bench before laying her left leg on his lap. Reaching into his pocket, he pulled out a pouch that held a screwdriver along with screws that would work with the leg. She watched him replace some of screws that were bent.

"Are what they saying in the hospital about you true?" Donna asked.

"What are they saying?" Derrick replied, not taking his eyes off his work.

"That you're only working there to get money on the side for faking inspections. That you don't care about hybrids whatsoever."

Derrick looked at her briefly before going back to work.

"Yeah, it's all true."

"Why? You seem like such a nice person."

"Well I'm not. Money makes me happy."

"If you're not a nice person, then why did you save me from falling? You could've easily let me hit the ground but you didn't."

"You are my patient. It would look bad on me if something happened to you."

Silence was golden again as the birds chirped above them in the trees. Again, that small, persistent nagging voice started talking to him.

"Why are you denying yourself? You know that bitch will never let you fuck her after she marries Ryudo. She playing you for a fool."

"Shut up," Derrick growled angrily making Donna jump.

"I didn't say anything."

"Not you."

He heard that voice laughing.

"Think about it Derrick. Here you have a beautiful hybrid that is actually worried about your feelings. Did Jessica ever once ask you how you've been? Maybe Ryudo had the right idea of being in love with a hybrid you think?"

Derrick ignored the voice as screwed the last screw in.

"Admit it, you're starting to feel something for Donna. After spending all this time with her, you know her more then Jessica. Besides, that crazy bitch would've probably killed you just to get to Ryudo if you stood in her way. Take your chances buddy boy. Open yourself up and embrace the fact that you-"

"Just shut up already!" Derrick shouted angrily, holding his head.

"Dr. Thomas, what's wrong?"

Derrick didn't answer her as he pushed her leg off him and stood up, taking a couple of steps away from the bench. Donna watched him pace back and forth like a cat in a cage, waiting to explode at a moment's notice.

"Dr. Thomas, can I ask you a question?"

"What is it?" Derrick growled, still pacing.

"Why do you hate hybrids?"

Derrick stopped pacing and closed his eyes. Opening them, he turned around and walked back to the bench and sat back down.

"I don't hate hybrids."

"Then why did you do all those things in the hospital? I know we don't have the same rights as you, but aren't we still living creatures?"

Derrick nodded his head slowly.

"Be honest with her buddy boy. Open yourself up."

Derrick lean back on the bench, looking up into the clear blue sky.

"I.... just...I just wanted to be with the in crowd. I wanted people to like me. Popularity was the major thing during my schooling."

"So you just went along with everybody to not be different?"

"Yeah. When I was growing up, my dad said hybrids were nothing but slaves and didn't deserve any kind of special treatment. He even almost beat to death his friend because he saw him kissing one."

"Do you still believe that?"

Derrick thought about it before shaking his head.

"No. After being around you and getting to know you, I found out you are just like me. Just wanting to get accepted like everybody else."

Donna smiled before reaching over and holding his hand making him jump. Derrick looked down at their joined hands, then at her before smiling also and giving it a squeeze.

"Care to try again walking again? I want to see if that leg is okay."

"Sure," Donna said, getting up slowly.

She was about to start walking when her chest started hurting.

"What's wrong?" Derrick asked rushing to her.

"I......I can't.....breath," Donna choked out, trying to take in air.

Derrick felt around her neck, feeling her esophagus starting to close on her.

"Shit, I have to get you to the back to the hospital but I don't think we'll make it."

"It.....it...hurts."

"Hang on. I'll take you someplace to get help."

Derrick lifted her in his arms and quickly headed to the car. He knew he was pushing his luck with what he was about to do, but he didn't want to lose Donna. Putting the car in gear, he sped off to his destination.

///////

"I'll be back with my gown and your tux. Then we can start setting up the guest list."

Ryudo paid her no mind as he watched the TV. The door opened and closed as he heard her car take off down the road. Once it was gone, Gail rushed downstairs and pinned Ryudo to the couch, getting a gasp of shock before his lips were locked with Gail.

"Now that's she's gone, it's my time to be with you."

Ryudo chuckled, running his hands up and down his back and kissing him deeply as they grinded into each other. Gail let out a whine as Ryudo broke off and started kissing his neck.

"Take me Ryudo, please," Gail panted.

Ryudo didn't want to wait any longer either as he started to pull down his pants. Just before he could get them all the way down, the doorbell rang. Ryudo raised an eyebrow, trying to figure out who would be bothering him.

"Don't answer it. They can come back another time," Gail growled, licking Ryudo's neck.

The doorbell rang three more times before a voice was heard.

"Ryudo, open up. I need your help."

This caught Ryudo by surprise.

"What the fuck is Derrick doing at my door?"

"Who cares Ryudo. Just take me," Gail whined.

"Please Ryudo, open the door. I don't know how long she has left."

That caught Ryudo's attention as he sat up, pulling his pants back up. With a loud whine from Gail, he went to the front door and opened it. Derrick was standing there, Donna in his arms.

"What's wrong with her?"

"She said she was having trouble breathing. I would've brought her back to the hospital but I don't think I would've made it. You were closer."

"And why should I help you? You only care about yourself."

"Just help her, please."

Ryudo looked into Derrick eyes, noticing that they were full of stress which was weird for him. With a sigh, he nodded his head.

"Bring her in and down to the basement."

"Thank you so much Ryudo."

Derrick hurried in, bringing Donna down to Shelly's room and laying her down on the bed. Ryudo was behind him, a black bag in his hand. Sitting besides Donna, he opened the bag producing a needle and a vial. Filling the needle halfway, he injected Donna with it making her body relax.

"She'll be fine with some rest."

"Thank you Ryudo," Derrick said softly.

"I didn't do it for your bitch ass, remember that," Ryudo snorted, closing the bag and heading back upstairs.

Derrick took another look at Donna before heading up also. Reaching the top, he saw Ryudo sitting on the couch with Gail besides him. He took a seat opposite of them, head down.

"So, who is she?"

"Donna. She is, or was, a slave to a person in Boeing."

"And how much was this person paying to fake the inspection?"

"Five hundred thousand."

Gail gave a small growl as Ryudo shook his head.

"Did you take the money?"

"No."

"And why not? You faked the other inspections. What was different about this one?"

Derrick was quiet before taking a breath.

"I....I got to know her."

Ryudo let out a cough before doing a double take then starting to laugh. The great Derrick Thomas was talking to a hybrid.

"Are you shitting me? You expect me to believe that shit?"

"I don't expect you to believe anything."

Ryudo stopped laughing before looking at Derrick. The Derrick he knew was usually arguing with him.

"So what brought this change about?"

Derrick looked at the basement door before Ryudo.

"I got to know her during her rehab. She's kind and for some reason, I enjoy being around her. After being with her for a couple weeks, I found out she's just like everybody else, just looking to be accepted. I always thought hybrids were dumb creatures, but talking with her, proves me wrong."

Ryudo crossed his arm, not believing the words that were coming out of this person's mouth. This couldn't be the same Derrick Thomas could it?

"So now you understand what I've been telling you all this time. Hybrids are just like us, only wanting to fit in."

"I understand that now," Derrick said with a soft smile.

The basement door opened as they turned to see Donna standing there. Derrick hurried over to her side.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

"Did you mean what you just said?"

Derrick looked down at the ground before into her eyes.

"Yes, I did."

Donna smiled before leaning in and giving him a lick on the cheek. Derrick's cheek heated up before smiling before helping her over to the couch.

"How are you feeling?" Ryudo asked.

"Much better. Thank you."

"My pleasure. Gail, could you grab her some of Shelly's health drink?"

"Sure thing," Gail said, getting up and heading to the kitchen.

Derrick watched him leave before looking at Ryudo. He might as well come clean since he told him that.

"Ryudo, there's something else you should know."

"Yeah, what is that?"

"I.....I was the one who.....took those pictures of you and that coyote."

Ryudo was on Derrick so fast it caught him by surprise as his hands were around his neck.

"Your fucking asshole," Ryudo snarled.

"I'm sorry....I just....wanted.....can't....breathe..."

"Let him go," Donna yipped sadly.

Gail ran in and grabbed Ryudo's arm.

"Ryudo, don't do this. I know what he did was wrong on all account, but doing this will only turn you into one of them."

Ryudo looked at Gail before loosening his grip on Derrick's neck. Derrick took huge gulps of air as Ryudo sat back down on the couch, anger and malice in his eyes.

"I'm sorry," Derrick said with a wheeze.

"Sorry's not going to get me out from marrying that bitch. This is your fucking fault. If Gail wasn't here, I would've killed you. What did she promise?"

"A night in bed plus twenty grand from her father."

"So fuck me over so you can get fucked? You make me sick."

"But there is a plus side."

Ryudo balled his fists and was about to assault him again as Derrick raised his hands in defense.

"Wait, hear me out."

"It better be convincing, otherwise they'll have a new patient in the hospital."

"I'm the only one with the back-up pictures of you and that hybrid."

"And that's suppose to make me feel better?"

"I also recorded the conversation me, her, and her dad had about the set-up."

Ryudo's eyes widened at that.

"Are you lying to me?"

"No. I didn't trust her father. So in-case he didn't pay up, I would've gave the tape to the cops."

Ryudo crossed his arms, a devious smile crossing his lips.

"You want to set things right between us?"

Derrick looked up at Ryudo before nodding his head quickly.

"Okay, this is what we'll do then."

///////

Jessica sung a tune in her head as she looked herself in the tall mirror. The wedding gown she had on was breathtaking as it made her look like an angel, a very sadistic angel. Her mom let out a sniffle before wiping a tear from her eye.

"You look so beautiful honey."

"Thank you mom. Just think, next week I'll be Ms. Peterson."

"I'm so happy for you. You two will be the perfect couple."

Dennis walked in and gave Jessica a hug.

"I can't wait to give you away. It'll be the second best moment of my life beside you being born."

"Thanks dad," she said hugging him back.

"I even got you and Ryudo an early honeymoon gift."

He handed her an envelope as she looked at it. Opening it, she let out a gasp at what was inside. It was a two week cruise on the Dartmouth near the islands.

"Oh my god dad, thank you so much," she screamed happily.

"Anything for my baby doll."

"Is the assembly hall ready for us?" Jessica asked, looking herself over again.

"They are just waiting for us."

"Good. My wedding day is going to be the best day I ever had."

////////

Ryudo sat in his room at his desk going over some paperwork that Edwards dropped off for him. He decided to take the week off since he was going to get married on Friday. Edwards gave him a congrats which Ryudo thanked him for. Jessica walked in all smiles before cautiously approaching Ryudo from behind. She didn't want to be flipped again.

"Hello dear."

Ryudo didn't answer her as he turned another page before writing stuff down.

"You can at least say hello."

"I'm busy," Ryudo responded.

"You're always too busy for me. Well that's going to change. When we get married, you're going to quit your job and find another one."

"Like hell I am."

"You have no say remember?"

Ryudo looked at her with malice before snorting.

"What the fuck do you want besides bothering me?"

"I've come to show you what dad gave us for an early honeymoon present."

She laid the tickets on the desk as he looked at them.

"There's no way in hell I'm spending two weeks on sea cramped up in a small room with your ass."

"You're going to go and like it asshole. This is our honeymoon. Our special time together without being around those fucking mutts for once."

Ryudo gave a huff before returning to his work.

"If that's all, then get the hell out. I'm busy, unlike you."

She gave a smile before heading to the door and stopping.

"Oh yeah, you can have the bachelor party anytime you want. I'm going to have mine at my house, so you can have yours here."

"I'm honored," Ryudo said nonchalant.

"Well, see you in four days my darling husband."

Ryudo watched her leave from the corner of his eye before giving a smile.

"Oh it's going to be a great day alright."

/////////

"Here's to Ryudo, for his last couple of days as a free man," Blake said raising a glass of wine.

"To Ryudo!!" everybody said together.

Everybody pitched in and got reservations to a nice restaurant. They wanted to bring him to a strip club, but that's old fashion. Of course it never gets old.

"I still can't believe you're getting married before me," Connor said putting his glass down.

"Not like I have a choice in the matter. Besides, I don't think Hosea will let you marry anybody."

"Probably right on that one," Connor chuckled.

"Did you tell Justin?" Stephen asked.

"No. I don't think he would take it very well."

"Well, he's going to find out eventually," Blake added, taking a swig of wine. "And once he does, you know he'll aim for the neck."

Ryudo chuckled before finishing off his glass and refueling it. The food was brought out as everybody started to dig in. Ryudo didn't want to let them in on what Derrick and he discussed. He figured he would let them find out at the wedding. They all laughed and joked the time away without a care in the world. Blake looked at his watch before sighing.

"Looks like it time to head out. We kept the family man here for long enough."

"Very funny," Ryudo said making everybody laugh.

They all stood up and headed for the coat room. Grabbing their coats, they headed out the restaurant, thanking the waiter for the great food. Outside, they headed to Ryudo's car and got in. He dropped them home one by one before heading home himself. With a smile, he got out and entered his home. He had a few more days to himself, so why not let out some pent up frustration. Taking off his shoes, he headed upstairs to see Gail in his room. Gail's ears perked up and looked up at Ryudo from the book he was reading, tail wagging happily.

"Welcome home Ryudo. Did you have fun?"

"The fun has yet to begin," Ryudo grinned, closing the door behind.

Gail got the hint and gave a growl of lust, tossing the book on the floor before they clashed together in a heated kiss. Gail literally tore Ryudo's shirt off, the shreds falling to the ground in pieces before tossing him on the bed. Ryudo chuckled at the lust driven hyena who tossed his boxers off in a flash and crawled onto Ryudo.

"A little forceful aren't you?"

"Shut up," Gail growled. "Get rid of the pants or I will."

"You better not destroy my good pants," Ryudo said, sliding out his pants and boxers.

Gail grinded his sheath against Ryudo's crotch, murring at the sensation as his own cock started to harden and extend out. Having enough of that, Gail spun around, eying that meat popsicle with hunger.

"Finally," Gail murred, giving Ryudo a long lick from the base to the tip.

Ryudo shivered at the feeling, letting out a soft groan. God he missed this feeling. A grunt escaped him as Gail took him slowly into his mouth, his tongue wrapping around the sensitive head.

"Fuck," Ryudo moaned, balling the sheets in his hands.

A murr escaped Gail as he began to bob his head up and down on his treat, collecting every drop of pre he coaxed out of it. Ryudo's toes curled, pleasure running up and down his spine. A wet sensation hit his neck as he looked down to see Gail phallus dripping pre. With a smile, he gripped his cock gently before taking it into his mouth. Gail let out a whine, his hips giving small thrusts. Loud slurping and moans filled the room as they drove each other to that desperately needed climax.

Gail took his paw, gently cradling Ryudo's balls making his legs twitch. His nose picked up his arousal as it was high and it was making him drunk with need. With a growl, he moved his head faster and increased the suction. Ryudo tensed up at the increase of pressure, his hands gripping Gail's hips hard.

"So he wants to play that game huh. Well I can play that game too."

Ryudo smiled, moving his left hand under the rapidly wagging tail to that puckered star. Gail tensed up at the feeling before pushing back at the finger that Ryudo inserted slowly. Ryudo let out a moan, feeling those tight muscles put a death squeeze on his finger as he pushed it back and forth. Gail let out a whine, releasing Ryudo's cock with a loud slurp and looking back over his shoulder.

"No fair," Gail panted, tongue hanging out.

Ryudo let out a chuckle as he slipped Gail's cock out of his mouth, still moving his finger back and forth.

"Do you want me to stop?"

"No, but I need something better."

Gail moved to the side, his chest on the bed and rear raised high along with his tail. Ryudo licked his lips before sliding over. He grabbed Gail's hips, feeling the shiver that ran through his body. Aligning his slick member to that anal ring, he applied some pressure before popping into Gail's back side getting a throaty moan from both of them.

"God I need this so badly," Gail whined happily.

"You and me both stripy," Ryudo panted, pushing his way into that tight entrance before flushing his hips with Gail's.

They stood still for a few moment, loving the connection they had before Ryudo pulled back slowly till the tip remained before ramming back in. Gail let out a yelp at the strong thrust, ears folded on his head as he locked his legs with Ryudo's and pushed back. Ryudo let out a moan before thrusting again, slowly picking up speed.

Gail let out small barks with each impact of his balls meeting Ryudo's. He arched his back, meeting every thrust with his own. He never thought he would feel this feeling again as his penis throbbed with each stab to his prostate. Pre leaked heavily onto the bed as the sheets began to rip under his claws.

"Yes Ryudo, yes," Gail whined. "Mate me."

Ryudo grunted, feeling Gail tighten up on him. He moved his hands from Gail's hips and brought them under his arms, using the extra leverage to drive him deeper into that tight, warm ass. Gail snarled at the deep intrusion, pleasure shooting up his spine as he felt his orgasm coming on strong. He panted heavily, trying his best to hold back the storm but with the deep penetration that Ryudo was applying, it was becoming a lost cause. Gritting his teeth, he felt his cock throb once, twice, before it erupted in a glorious spray of white. A deep whine escaped him as his cum coated the sheets in thick globs.

"Fuck," Ryudo growled, feeling the walls crush him.

He hilted Gail, riding out that orgasm as his hyena came proudly. Once the last dribble oozed slowly out the tip, Gail let out a satisfied sigh.

"God, I needed that so badly."

"I not through with you yet stripy."

Gail murred happily, letting out a small gasp as Ryudo pulled out. He felt his body get flipped around as he looked into Ryudo's eyes, seeing the love and lust in them.

"I want to see you cum stripy. And when you do, howl for me. Let everybody know you belong to me."

Gail whined happily, feeling Ryudo penetrate him again. Moving his legs around his back, Ryudo grabbed his hips and began to ram into that hyena body with ruthless passion. Gail squirmed and moaned loudly under him, not caring who heard him. Sweat began to form on Ryudo's body as the heat and tightness was beginning to get to him.

"So fucking.....good," Ryudo moaned.

Gail could only moan in response, guiding his paw up to his sensitive cock and began stroking it in rhythm with Ryudo thrusts. Sweat, musk, and cum filled the room to capacity bringing them to a high that they both wanted and needed. Ryudo moved his hands from Gail's hips and brought them to his shoulders, pinning him to the bed as he applied more power to his thrusts making Gail bark in pleasure.

"That's.....it Ryudo....yes..."

Ryudo was almost to the breaking point as his pent up balls began to churn and his stomach twist. The bed slammed into the wall hard as his hips went into overdrive. By god it was coming, and it was coming hard. Gail was jerking himself faster and faster, feeling Ryudo tense up above him. He wanted to finish with his lover as he panted and moaned.

"I'm going to cum. I'm going to cum," Ryudo moaned.

"Do it......Ryudo. Fill me.....up," Gail yipped back.

Ryudo closed his eyes tightly, biting his bottom lip hard as he could taste blood. He couldn't hold back any longer. With a final hard thrust, he locked his hips and exploded, spots filling his eyes. Gail felt the hot liquid coat his insides. He tightened up, making sure not to let a single drop escape his tight confines. His paw became a blur on his cock before he tensed up as well, letting out a howl worthy of any canine as he came again. Ryudo watched with rapture as cum was shot into the air before landing with a wet splat onto Gail's chest.

"God, that's so hot," Ryudo cooed, moving his cock deeper and stabbing Gail's prostate to prolong his orgasm.

Gail went limp on the bed, tongue hanging out as he panted hard. Ryudo looked down at him before chuckling.

"Did I wear you out?"

"Not by a long shot," Gail replied, catching his breath.

"Good. Cause I'm not done with you by a long shot."

Gail grinned before squeezing Ryudo tightly making him groan.

"Good. Because I intend to take full advantage of you while I still can."

//////

The assembly hall was packed with people for the big wedding. Sad part is that ninety percent of the people there were from Jessica's family. The only people that represented Ryudo were his parents, Gail, Shelly, Blake, who was his best man, Connor, Caroline, Hosea, Nick, and Stephen. Ryudo stood by the altar, looking at the priest who just smiled.

"Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Are you ready my son?"

"Not really," Ryudo replied, straightening his tie.

The bride's music started to play as everybody looked at the arch-way. Jessica appeared in her white gown, flower bouquet in hand. Her father was by her side as they walked slowly down the aisle. Even Ryudo was a little speechless at how beautiful she looked, even if she was a fucking bitch. Dennis lead her up to the stand next to Ryudo and gave Jessica a hug.

"Congrats my dear. This is the happiest moment of my life."

"You and me both dad. Thanks."

Dennis gave Ryudo a nod before taking his seat. Jessica moved close to Ryudo, letting out a sigh. Her life was about to become complete as the priest started the ceremony. Ryudo tuned out, eyes closed. This was it. His life as he knew it was officially over.

"Does the groom have anything he wants to say?" the priest asked Ryudo.

"Nope."

"How about the bride?"

"I just want to say, Ryudo, this is probably the happiest moment of my life. i knew we were meant to be together."

Ryudo held in a grin as he heard that soft growl Gail did.

"Place the ring upon his finger."

Jessica grabbed Ryudo's hand which tensed up, but he allowed the ring to be put on. He reluctantly did the same for her, seeing the lust in her eyes which made him sick.

"Be there any man or woman who resent this wedding, let them speak now, or forever hold their peace."

"I resent!!"

Everybody looked back to see Derrick standing there. If Jessica had Superman's heat vision, Derrick would've been cut in half.

"What the hell are you doing you asshole?" Jessica growled.

"This wedding is a sham. It's all a setup."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Peter asked.

"Jessica and her father hired me to follow Ryudo and get any kind of dirt on him that they could use to blackmail him."

Dennis laughed at that before standing up.

"And you got proof of this I hope?"

Derrick smiled before bringing out a tape recorder and hitting the play button.

"Are you sure you can do it?" Dennis asked.

"Of course Mr. Wynn. I would love to see that bastard go down hard."

"Good. You do this for me and I'll pay you twenty grand."

"Plus, you'll get a night of great sex from me," Jessica added.

There was a bit of static before Derrick spoke up again.

"What's the point of doing this anyway? I'm a far better person then Ryudo is and you know it."

"Who cares about the kid stuff. I just a piece of his father's business. Once I get my hands on some of his shareholders and assets, I can finally get my business back on track."

Silence again before it was broken up.

"Fine. But I want assurance that I won't get killed by Ryudo if or when he finds out."

"Leave that to me. Once you have proof, give them to me and he won't touch you. I'll make sure of that," Jessica replied.

The tape ended as everybody was in shock. Jessica's face was a mixture of rage, shock, and speechlessness.

"Dennis, what the fuck are you playing are at?" Peter said angrily.

"Now wait a minute Peter, I can explain," Dennis said, sweat starting to form on his forehead.

"You used my son, just to get your grubby hands in my business?"

"Listen Peter, let me explain..."

The crowd let out a gasp as Dennis hit the floor, his hand covering his mouth as a little bit of blood inked out.

"If I ever see you again, you'll have more than a busted lip. This wedding is over. Ryudo, let's go."

"With pleasure," Ryudo said with a shit eating grin, tossing the ring on the floor.

He walked up to Derrick and gave him a nod.

"Are we neutral now?" Derrick asked.

"Very."

People were too stunned to do or say anything. Jessica stood there on the altar, one hand holding the bouquet while the other hand was balled into a tight fist.

"No...." she angrily. "Not like this."

Everybody started to get up and leave the assembly hall. Jessica saw her whole life flash before her eyes. A life without Ryudo in it. Something snapped in her head as her eyebrow twitched along with the corner of her mouth.

"If I can't have him, no one will."

She looked over at the table to the wedding cake and saw the knife laying there. With a sadistic smile, she ran over and grabbed it. With insanity in her eyes, she ran towards Ryudo.

"If I can't have no, NO ONE WILL!!!"

"RYUDO LOOK OUT!!" Gail cried.

Ryudo turned in time to see Jessica raise the knife in her hand. He didn't have time to react as he covered his face. A loud yelp was heard as Gail jumped in the way, the knife piercing his back as he dropped to the ground.

"YOU FUCKIG MUTT!! Always in the way. I'll fix you for good."

She raised the knife to finish the job before Ryudo stepped in, and with all his anger and might, delivered a massive right hand to her face, sending her spinning in the air before hitting her head on one of the wooden benches knocking her out cold.

"JESSICA!!!" he mother shouted, running to her. "HOW COULD YOU RYUDO!!?"

"She had that coming for a long time," Ryudo shouted back angrily before rushing to Gail. "Gail, speak to me. Are you okay?"

"I....feel....cold," Gail whined softly, blood pooling out onto the carpet under him.

"Hang on, I'll get you fix up. I'm not going to lose you."

/////////

Derrick stood in front of the hospital staff with his head down as everybody looked at him.

"So what's this meeting about?" Hunt spoke up. "I have things to do."

Derrick let out a breath before raising his head and speaking.

"I'm sorry for all the deaths and misery I've caused over the last month, even though an apology won't do any good."

"Get to the point," Phillips said.

"I give back all the privileges and rights that I did here back to its rightful owner, Ryudo Peterson."

"And what will you do?" Edwards asked.

"Nothing. I resign as of today."

Everybody looked at one another before Edwards who crossed his arms and leg.

"And what brought this change about?"

"Let's just say, I've seen both sides of the coin."

Edwards gave a small chuckle before rubbing the stubble on his chin.

"Well, if that is what you desire, than I have no right to stop you."

Derrick gave a small bow before taking off the doctor's coat and laying it on the table.

"I'm sorry again," he said before heading for the door.

"Wait," Ryudo spoke up making everybody look at him. "You can't resign."

"Why not?"

"Because you still have a job here, as my assistant."

Everybody was shocked to say the least. How could Ryudo let this person stay here after all the pain and suffering he caused?

"And why does he deserve to be your assistant?" Edwards asked.

"Because I feel he could do be a great asset to your hospital. You want to leave this hospital in good hands, then thrust me."

Edwards was quiet for a few moments before nodding his head.

"Very well. I'll trust your judgment on this one. But if he fucks up again, you'll both be gone. Do I make myself clear?"

"Very clear sir," Ryudo nodded.

"If that's all, can I go?" Hunt said, getting up to leave along with with everybody as Derrick and Ryudo stayed behind.

"Why did you do that?" Derrick asked.

"Now you owe me," Ryudo grinned. "Besides, you're just as smart as me on hybrid medicine and I could use you."

Derrick was quiet before giving a smile.

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me. Just do your job and take care of your patients. That'll be your debt to me."

"You got it," Derrick said grinning as he put his doctor coat back on.

///////

"STEAKS ARE ON!!!" Peter shouted, sprinkling some seasoning on the meat.

Everybody was at Ryudo's house enjoying the great weather as the grill was on.

"I still can't believe how hard you punched Jessica," Blake laughed.

"She deserved it. She's lucky I didn't slit her throat."

Gail came out from the back door, a smile on his face as his right arm was in a sling. The knife stabbed him deep but wasn't deep enough to kill him. It did wreak havoc on his shoulder muscle which would have to be rehabbed to get the strength back. He sat down next to Ryudo, letting out a murr as Ryudo gave him a kiss.

"I wouldn't be alive now if it wasn't for you stripy."

"I couldn't let her hurt my mate," he grinned.

"And I'm proud to be your mate."

Everybody let out a laugh before stopping as Derrick walked up, Donna at his side.

"What do want?" Connor asked.

"We were.....hoping to join you guys."

Nobody said a word making Donna give a small whine.

"I guess you guys are still mad at the way I treated you in the past. I don't blame you. Well, see you later. Come on Donna."

"Wait," Gail said, getting up slowly.

They turned around as Gail walked up to them. They looked into each others eyes before Gail smiled and offered his good paw. Derrick smiled before shaking it.

"Thank you for helping Ryudo out."

"It was my pleasure."

"Come and join us. We have plenty of food."

"Are you sure?" Derrick asked.

"If he said to join us, then get over here," Ryudo smiled.

Derrick smiled before walking over and joining his new friends and life style. Maybe this won't be so bad after all.

"Whatever happened to Jessica after that?" Connor asked.

"Well, apparently after getting out of the hospital with a broken jaw and a slight concussion, see went crazy. Her mother put her in a hospital cause she was a threat to herself, saying she was going to kill herself cause she couldn't have me," Ryudo chuckled.

"God, she is one crazy bitch," Blake added. "You always get the weird ones."

"Did you find someplace to go Donna?" Ryudo asked.

"Yes. Derrick is taking me as his slave once he gets all the paperwork done," she said happily.

"Well congrats. I never thought I would see this happen. Make sure he takes care of you."

"I'm sure he will," Donna smiled, grabbing Derrick's hand and squeezing which he returned.

"Alright boys, food is done. Grab a plate and help yourselves," Dorthy said walking over.

Everybody got up to grab a plate before Derrick pulled Ryudo aside.

"What is it?" Ryudo asked.

"Here," Derrick said, handing him a flash drive. "This has all the pictures I took. I'm sorry again."

Ryudo took it with a smile before clapping Derrick's back.

"Consider this day the start of a new you. I'm still mad at you, but it'll pass eventually."

"Thanks again."

"If you don't hurry up Ryudo, Gail's going to eat everything," Blake called.

They shared a laugh before Ryudo walked ahead of Derrick, grabbing a piece of steak off of Gail's plate as they argued. Derrick chuckled before his inner voice spoke up.

"Looks like everything turned out okay. I told you it would."

"Yes you did."

"You should listen to me more often. Now then, let's grab a steak before they are all gone."

"Way ahead of you."

"Forgiveness means letting go of the past." Gearld Jampolsky
