Chapter 4: The Party and Training

I woke up slowly, slowly noticing the brightness of the morning. Today is Saturday so I didn't have to go to school. I turned to see Kimahri laying right next to me completely still. His eyes were completely shut and purred ever so quietly. I smiled at him when he opened his eyes slowly and smiled back.

"Morning." He said as we gave eachother a quick kiss. My breath felt a little bit different as I said.

"Morning breath." I chuckled a little bit at this when the Ronso made a compliment.

"It's wonderful." We got up and out of bed and I happily remembered the events of yesterday. I had sex for the very first time, and it was with Kimahri Ronso. This was definitely a dream come true and now I can smile and rest easy knowing that I'll graduate high school not a virgin.

We spent the day just goofing off, playing games, and waiting for Sue's birthday party today. When it was near time, I grabbed my card when I heard a beep coming from my cell phone. I checked it to see that it was a text message from Sue. It read, Hey, are you ready for the party? I replied with, Yes. Kimahri wondered what I was doing with the stuff and asked.

"What going on?" I turned to face him sitting on my bed and said.

"It's Sue's birthday today, and I've been invited to her party." Shortly after my phone beeped again. I checked the phone and I was surprised by her reply. Are you bringing Kimahri to the party? I kind of invited him. I kind of choked at the thought. What about all of these people, and her parents? I thought, the only people who know of Kimahri's existence is me, my mom, Joe, and Sue. Who knows what'll happen!

I looked back at Kimahri who gave me a worried expression that reflected my own.

"Eric okay? What happened?" I took a short breath and said.

"Sue invited you to her party." Then everything fell silent. Not a word was spoken from either of us, but we could tell from eachother that we fell concerned. The silence was broken when he said.

"Kimahri not mind. Just need explan to explain to them." I felt surprised at what he just barely said and asked.

"But what about-" The Ronso then interrupted with.

"Eric, no need to bother. Kimahri help." I looked up to him once again and started to smile a little, then asked.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes."

"Okay then." I got my phone out again and replied to Sue's message. Does he need to give you anything? I typed, then sent the message and I then thought of an idea. I grabbed the card that I drew for her and asked Kimahri.

"Want to sign this?"

"Sign what?"

"A card that I made her." I smiled warmly and said. "I figured we could both give it to her. You know, to show that we care about her." Kimahri looked at me rather weirdly and said.

"Ok." I grabbed a pencil from my desk and handed it to him while I set the card on the table. I then stepped out and let him write his name on the card. When he finished, I took a look and kind of giggled at the hand writing.

"What so funny?" He asked.

"Nothing." I got a beep from my cell phone again with Sue's next text reply. I took it out and read what it said. He doesn't have to give me one if he doesn't want to. And don't worry, I explained to my parents and the guests about him, so they shouldn't be too shocked or anything. I felt somewhat relieved about what she said on that message, and thought. Maybe I should explain to mom about this and see if it's okay before we go.

"Lets talk with my mom about this first." We got up and walked out of my room and found mom sitting in her chair in the TV room and explained to her about the plans for the party, and included about Sue explaining to her parents and the rest of the party guests. She kind of got red-hot mad when as we said of our explanation, and was still that way after mentioning Sue's parents.

"But it's out in public!" She shouted. "We can't risk something that ridiculous."

"But." I paused, not sure of what to say next when Kimahri stepped in.

"Kimahri be all right." He said. "People are people. Sue is Sue. Sue assure all safety, and she is not a liar. Kimahri knows this." Mom seemed to simmer down a bit when he finished his speech, and fell silent. Until finally she reluctantly said.

"Fine. You can go, but I still worry." I could imagine that she had every right to worry. I imagined the thought that Kimahri would be taken from me by the government and be put into tests and experiments and all of that other crazy shit that was frowned upon. I'd hate to have that happen to him, I thought, I love him too much, and I don't want anything at ALL to happen to him, not like this. I shook that thought out of my head and went back to the subject. I took a quick look at the time, and looked at my hands really quickly to assure that I was still holding that card.

"We'd better get going. Come on." The two of us then dashed out of the house into the garage when we heard her shout.

"Have fun at the party!" We shut the garage door behind us and her voice was behind us. I opened the garage door and we got in the car and drove on out across the road, this time pulling out to the opposite direction than we were when going to Joe's house.

As we we're driving along, Kimahri was looking out everywhere and enjoying the moving scenery as I concentrating on driving. He looked at me and noticed my concentration and just smiled. I couldn't look back at him because I had to focus. However, the Ronso's smile started to turn into his normal expression as he saw a hint of depression in my face.

"Eric." I rose up a little upon hearing his voice.

"Yes?"

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Well." I then remembered the previous thought about the government and said. "It's just that... I thought about what would happen if we were expossed to the masses. The government tore you away from me and did cruel things to you... I couldn't help but thought about horrible science experiments and tests that they'll perform on you." I paused about a minute and continued. "I also couldn't help thinking that their technology will overpower you and that you wouldn't be able to defend yourself." I felt sick to the stomach about what I was about to say next.

"What if they do all of that to you? What if they just treat you like shit? What if they... Rape you?" Kimahri knew that I was upset from this and I was about to break into tears. He couldn't bear to see me like this and I pulled over to make sure I wouldn't crash into anything. The Ronso pulled me close to a hug and assured to me this.

"No worry. Kimahri can fight, and Kimahri will win. Kimahri be all right, Eric know that. Also." Kimahri stroked my hair slowly as he continued. "Kimahri not get raped. I promise to you Eric, Kimahri not get raped." He brought me up and made one powerful lick on my cheeks, wiping away the semi dry tears.

"Feel better?"

"I guess so." My emotions went back to normal and started driving again. It wasn't very long until we reached Sue's house. When we got there, it seemed that there were a few blankets laying on the lawn, and a bunch of wrapped gifts sitting on the table next to a big tree. We stepped into the front yard where there are people out there including Sue. Everyone just stood there still, puzzled, just staring at the two of us with weird expressions which I couldn't tell whether it was confusion or surprise.

"Eric." Sue came up to the two of us as she said. "Don't worry about them, I got everything settled for you." she turned to the crowd and said. "Don't be alarmed, this is what I was talking about." Everyone nodded and went about their business again, and she took us inside. When we reached the house, I absently said "Hi" to her parents, who shortly we're also puzzled by Kimahri's appearance.

"Is that it?" Her father asked.

"Yeah, you guys like him?"

"Yeah, we do." Her mom said, "We didn't know it'd be that real." I thought that now was the best time to make Kimahri's introduction.

"Everyone, this is Kimahri Ronso. He doesn't talk much to a lot of people, but make him feel comfortable with this party. Okay?" Then a few other people acknowledged him with.

"Hi Kimahri." We still seem to be watched at by some people for a while, but it became less apparent. Then more people showed up, both new and familiar faces. Joe was also there and everyone just seemed to have their fun. What caught my attention though was that one of the guys brought a game which I knew from my knowledge was Guitar Hero. The first thing that gave that away was a guitar like controller. Shortly after they went in, those

same guys came back out with some cans and shouted.

"SILLY STRIIIIIIIIINNNNNG!" Then started spraying their silly string cans at everyone. We all scattered like bugs trying not to get tagged by the sprayers. Kimahri followed me whereever I ran and asked.

"What going on?" We hid behind the house and caught my breath, then started explaining.

"Silly string is just a game where we spray different colored string like substance at eachother. Just for fun, but it smells horrible." After that two of the guys found us and started firing. Kimahri instinctively moved in right in front of me and gave me a bear hug protecting me from the blast. It was all over when those cans were completely empty and we all gathered back in the house. I kind of laughed at all of the silly string on Kimahri's back. There were so many ropes of purple, orange, yellow, and green that you wouldn't even beleive. The Ronso turned around to face me with a more serious look.

"What so funny?" He asked.

"Your back." I pointed out. He turned around a little bit and reached his hands around his back. He felt around and pulled some of the string out and took a look at the orange and purple substance. Kimahri then put it up to his nose and sniffed it. He pulled back and growled, then threw it away. More people joined in on the laughing and I decided to say.

"I told you it smelt horrible!" I explained with a gigantic smile on my face. We finished our laughing session and we all went back into the house. While we waited for the cake and stuff, we gathered around and started playing Guitar Hero. I decided to step up and play first, to show my skills. First I checked which difficulty to play but since I was very good at the game, I went down and chose expert mode.

"Expert mode?" One of the other guests asked.

"Yep." After that I picked my songs and started to play the notes as they were coming at me. I only missed a few notes but I was able to get enough star power and score five stars on each one. A lot of the other party guests looked surprised at my gaming expertise on this game. Kimahri just sat there on the couch on my left giving his normal expression but smiling a little bit at me. After playing a few more songs this good, one guy came up to me and smugly said.

"Ha, I can beat you at this game, hands down." I obviously could tell that he was just bluffing, so I confidently replied with.

"Okay, bring it on." So then the guy plugged in the second guitar controller onto the playstation 2 and we switched to multiplayer mode. I quickly said.

"To prove that you can beat me, we're going to play in pro face off mode." I selected the mode I said that we we're going to use and the guy replied with.

"That's fine, it won't matter anyway because I'm going to beat you." I just smiled calmly and collective and replied.

"We'll see." Then the song started, and I aced the first riff with relative ease while the guy challenging me just missed almost every one. I knew right then that he was just all talk, but I kept my focus and continued on. We finished and it was no surprise to me that I won that match.

"Ha, you can beat me?!" I exclaimed. "Yeah right!" Everyone laughed at the guy right then knowing that I completely humiliated him at a video game after claiming to be better than me. I just find it extremely funny.

"Hey everyone, it's time for cake!" Sue's mom shouted. We finished playing and gathered around the table and her father got out the blow torch and tried to light up the candles. However, it only seemed to blow up for a second and then died.

"Arrrrgh. We can't light up these candles." Everyone groaned and sighed at the thought.

"Now what do we do?" Another party guest asked. Kimahri looked at us and just pondered his mind for a bit, then he stepped up in front of the un-lit birthday candles.

"Allow Kimahri." He said. I heard a few people whisper to eachother, and I was guessing some we're puzzled about Kimahri actually talking. The Ronso raised his fingers on his forehead and I sensed something coming from it. Everyone was just looking confused and he then shouted something which echoed the room.

"FIRE!" He then put his hand out in front and like magic, a ball of fire exploded and lit up the candles. Everyone was stunned and gasped with shock, especially me. I knew he had magic, I thought, I just knew it.

"That was amazing dude!" I exclaimed. "You're great." Everyone else cheered and applauded at the Ronso's performance, and it made me smile even more. We then got back to business and started to sing the birthday song to Sue, when she said.

"Eric, start us off." I did so and we sang the song. When we finished, some of her other friends just sang.

"This is your birthday song! It isn't very long!" I just looked at them confused, I really didn't know what they just said. Luckily Sue took the short time to explain that to the two of us.

"We just made that up just to be funny." We kind of giggled and replied with.

"I see, hehe, that's why." We looked back at Kimahri and just saw him standing there with his normal expression that we oh so knew. Sue put her hands on her hips and told him.

"Come on, smile. This is a happy occasion." I added on to what she said.

"Go ahead. It's all right." The blue giant then made his scary grin which made me smile more along with Sue kind of, but everyone else was just creeped out by it.

"Okay." She said. "Never mind." I bursted out laughing and one of her friends just stilled looked scared by it.

"He's scary." She said. "His smile is creepy."

"I like it. You guys may find it creepy but I find it inspiring." We had our cake and moved outside to the table to open her presents. Her gifts included some cards like the one I drew for her, she really liked it.

"Thanks you guys." She gave me a hug and I replied.

"No problem." She opened her presents some more and it included some CDs and a book which I guess was from the Twilight series. Figures, I thought. Then the party was finished and everyone was on their way. Except for Kimahri and me, before they left though, Sue warned everyone.

"Kimahri is a secret between us. Reveal it and I'll kill you. I mean it." We talked with Sue for a little while and thought about one thing concerning Kimahri, and we asked him an honest question.

"Hey Kimahri, did you feel any awkward at all during this party?"

"A lot."

"It's okay." Said Sue. "I'm sure they're not used to your appearance."

"Kimahri also concerned about spread of time at party."

"Don't worry about it. I got that taken care of." I was then pretty sure that I can could definitely trust her in all of this. After all, she pretty good at convincing people about things.

"All right, that's no problem. See ya." I waved goodbye and we got into the car and started heading home. As we drove, I remembered Kimahri casting Fire on those candles from the birthday cake.

"Hey Kimahri."

"Hmm."

"It was really amazing how you used magic to light up the candles. That's great! You got to show me this." I was really determined to be trained in the arts of an impossible ability like this, but I always wondered if it can be possible to learn the skills from other worlds. That would make my life easier, I thought, can't wait.

"Kimahri show you now when at home, all right?"

"Really! Sure!" That was right, we did promise this after we mated so this was definite. We did arrive home and we went to the back yard. I was eager and started to grow impatient from the wait.

"Wait." He said. "Kimahri return in a minute." I nodded, but was curious about what he was doing. I sat down and waited for a good half hour and he finally came back, but was holding something in his hand.

"Here." He tossed the object to me and I grabbed it, looking at it, I quickly saw that it was a wooden sword. "Before Eric do magic. Kimahri test Eric in combat." I was surprised on what he meant by that. Do I really have to fight him? I thought. Kimahri then drew out his signiture spear that I knew too well. I went to my battle stance, (much like Sora's from Kingdom Hearts) and got ready.

"Go ahead, hit Kimahri." He took up a defensive pose and I hesitated, but rushed up to him anyway. I made a vertical swing at him which met with his spear, he countered it and pushed me with his elbow, knocking me to the ground. I got back up and charged at him again. Every blow I land on him, he parrys with his spear. After five minutes of that, it was his turn to attack. I couldn't move fast enough with my inexperienced fighting skills like that and almost took every blow. He didn't hit hard though, he made sure not to injure me badly.

When that was up, I was sore with a few bruises, aches, and only one cut on my arm.

"Eric need more training." Kimahri said. I reluctantly said.

"Yes."

"Regardless, Eric show promise to Kimahri." I looked back at him in both puzzling and admirable looks. "Kimahri believe Eric show good skill. With more training, Eric can defend along with magic in battle." I smiled a little at this and we got down to business. Kimahri got out what looked like a round wooden target. "Now, in order to use magic. Takes lots of concentration. Think of the spell, gather energy, use it, and take out target." I did as instructed, but nothing happened. I thought to my best of thought to try and harness the energy, but there was still nothing. Finally, I gave up and stated.

"I can't do it." Kimahri then came up to me and told me this.

"Not many humans can. Only few can, but takes special process. No Ronso know of this, but Kimahri does." Could he have saw that from Lulu? I thought. "Sit down." I did so and listened to his instruction. "Close your eyes... Think of all things cluttering mind, and let it fade.... Let go... Free mind and keep only what's wanted of Eric.... Now... Sleep... Let that clutter turn to magic.... Eric now asleep." After that, I literally did fall asleep. I didn't notice that until everything went blank. It was like that, until I heared a light sound. It started to grow stronger.

"What's going on?" I thought. Then I saw a light, coming from the darkness. The light grew stronger and in front of me was a blue crystal.

'The power of the legendary warriors rests within you.' A voice said. Then I saw what I thought was unbelievable. There were people, like me, except for what they were wearing. My guess was that they're from ancient times or something, then the voice was talking again. 'Fighter, Lancer, Warrior, Theif, Hunter, Gunner, Cleric, Mage.' What is that thing? I thought, and who are these people? Right when it hit me, a brighter beam of light struck the image, and I started to wake up. What was that? I thought. I got back up and Kimahri came up to me.

"How do Eric feel?" He asked.

"Fine." The Ronso nodded at me and said.

"Go and try to destroy target now." Huh? I thought. I turned to face the target again and tried to do the same thing as before. I concentrated and was just as frustrating as before. Kimahri came up to me again and helped me. "Think about it burn." I wasn't sure what he meant by that and once again I tried this. I concentrated hard and thought about a fire, then I felt something within me. I thought at that time it would be a good idea to shout the spell like Kimahri did back at the party. I held my hands foward and shouted.

"Fire!" Then, out of nowhere and right in front of me. The wooden target exploded and burned from a ball of fire. I was struck by awe in that sight, but noticed that I aslo heared my stomach growl really loud. "Whoa, I'm hungry that quick? What's up?" Kimahri smiled at me and put the fire out with a water spell.

"Magic take energy. Magic use limited by amount of user's energy. Use more than what energy can harness can be fatal." I felt a little dumbfounded about this and asked.

"Aww, so when do you actually get to use magic?" I asked.

"Only when necessary. No worry, Eric gain more energy soon. We train like this every week." My excitement returned and I asked.

"Really." The Ronso nodded.

Phew, god damn, that took me a while, but I did it. I hope you enjoy it. Chapter 5 will be whenever I feel like it. Right now, I'm just gonna rest.
