I have to say that I am amazed that I got this chapter up because in this chapter I did not really planned a whole lot but here it is. The next chapter will be up a little later (Sorry Pyro) but I have nothing on what happens next but it should not be to long because I can get alot of it within a day (this chapter is proof!) let us begin! Whoever is over 18 can stay who is not should leave if not lock the door.

Part 19 An Old Friend of Dragoune's

The next few days were almost as dull as ever except when the hatchlings cried for food or someone woke them up. Rovino was starting to have enough of it if one of the hatchlings started crying he would be out of there before you said Rovino. The rest of them did not mind the crying, yes they were a bit tired but their worries and the length of the day would just fade away while they attend to the hatchlings needs. One day Dragoune came back from hunting, he went into the cave he saw that Saneira was on her side reading a book while both Liten and Torlanno were laying side by side, close to their mother, and fast asleep. Saneira looked up from the book and said quietly to Dragoune with a smile.

"They have already eaten and I just got them to sleep, would you mind watching I while stretch for a while?"

"Not at all." Dragoune also said quietly. When Saneira got up from the nest both hatchlings started to cry a bit Dragoune quickly lied down on his belly coiling up that his head was near his side where the hatchlings were and his tail near his neck. He then started humming deep within his chest and that calmed down the hatchlings. He then put a wing over himself and the hatchlings and would stay that way for the next few hours.

The next day was not dull at all. Dragoune was feeding both hatchlings with Crosain feeding his. Rovino was in another book and the females were out getting some exercise. Both Dragoune and Crosain were about to put them into bed when Saneira came running in the cave making the hatchlings cry out.

"Jeese Saneira it was quiet in here until you barged in" Rovino said and left before Saneira could say something. She stared at him until Dragoune walked up to her with both Liten and Torlanno in his arms swaying them back and forth to comfort them and asked quietly.

"What is the matter?" She continued to stare at Rovino as if he was some sort disgusting bug.

"Saneira." Dragoune said he did not raise his voice but made it more serious.

"What?" Saneira turned to Dragoune

"What's wrong?"

"Oh... It is Volaxone he is here."

"He is!?!" Dragoune this time yelled because in his amazement he forgot the hatchlings, and they started to cry again. Saneira took both of them and started them the way Dragoune was so that he could meet his friend.

Dragoune did not fly but ran as fast as he could. When he did meet Volaxone he saw that he was being carried by Siss and Traisa, because he was not putting much wait on his right leg.

"Volaxone what happened to you?" Dragoune asked Volaxone looked up at the sound of his name and made a big smile. When they got close Volaxone forgot about his injuries walked a short distance to Dragoune and grabbed him in a hug and then said.

"It is good to see you friend. I can see that you are well I cannot say that for myself. I would love to listen to your adventures as you would listen to mine, but unfortunately I am weary and would like to take a nap."

"Of course you can sleep as long as you like but aren't you hungry?" Dragoune asked

"No right now I need rest then I shall eat." Volaxone answered. Dragoune then helped Volaxone walk the rest of the way. During the trip Dragoune asked Siss and Traisa where they had found him.

"We smelled his scent near the river, but we were down wind from him so he did not know we were coming. When we got to the point where he was, he was no longer there. That is when he jumped out of the bushes but suddenly stumbled because of his leg. He then recognized us and that is when Saneira went to get you." By then they got to the cave Volaxone took Saneira's and Dragoune's bed because they mostly slept with the hatchlings in the nest and Volaxone's little nap took two nights until he woke up.

In the two nights of when Volaxone was asleep Crosain had the idea of checking to see if there was any other injuries that Volaxone had.

"No I will not let you bother Volaxone he needs rest. We will check on him when he is awake."

"But you know him, he will tell you not worry about him too much and that he is fine." Crosian said Dragoune was reluctant but knew that Crosain was right so he and Crosain grabbed a few medical supplies and went inside the room. It took a while to do because it was almost impossible to see what's wrong under his fur. The first few minutes they did not find much a few scratches here and there, but they were not to big or infected. That is when Dragoune went over a large but not deep cut. Volaxone groaned and Dragoune thought that he had awaken him but Volaxone slept on. After Dragoune made sure Volaxone was asleep he looked at what he touched and saw the cut. It was not badly infected but if they did not noticed then Volaxone would have had lost that arm. Crosain was cleaning a cut on Volaxone's chest this one was not as bad as his arm. When they were done they quietly left the room but before Dragoune closed the door he said.

"Get well my friend."

Saneira was busy cleaning both Liten and Torlanno. What she would do was take one of the larger bowls that Dragoune made which would be full of water and use here fire to heat up the water. The hatchlings were awake and watch what she was doing. She then took a small bar of soap went over to the nest and took Torlanno. She would be near the nest so Liten and Torlanno knew where the other was. Zordon and Slythrena was curious enough to come see what was going on Traisa was watching them. Saneira put Torlanno into the water and allowed him to get use to it. At first he would cling on his mothers arm but then when he knew it would not hurt him he crawled around it. His length was the same as the diameter of the bowl so there was not much to crawl around to. When Saneira knew that he was okay with the water, she started cleaning him. He did not cry nor try to get away, in fact it seemed like that he was enjoying being scrubbed not hard though clean. When Saneira was done with him she took him out of the bowl with a little difficulty because he had a claw on the bowl as to say 'I want to stay in!' When he finally let go Saneira dried him off with a towel and made sure he was warm with here hot breath. Then it was Liten's turn, just like his brother he had problem going into the water. But when Saneira came near with the soap he did not like it at all. At first he tried to get away, which was unsuccessful because the bowl was small. Then when Saneira started scrubbing he squealed at the top of his lungs as though he was being harmed. That is when all the hatchlings started to cry, Saneira quickly finished up Liten and as soon as he was getting dried they all stopped crying. Saneira then got back in the nest with her hatchlings and was humming some sort of lullaby. Traisa asked if Saneira could heat up another bowl of water so that she could do the same with Zordon and Slythrena. Saneira nodded and did what she was asked to do. Now both Zordon and Slythrena did not even want to go into the water never mind washing. It was a nightmare they cried going and they cried coming out. When Zordon was finally done Traisa coiled around her hatchlings and also hummed a lullaby. Dragoune then came in and was about to take over when they heard Volaxone say.

"I am finally up and ready to talk." It was muffled because of the door so he did not wake the hatchlings. Dragoune and Rovino went into the room and shut the door.

"Well I am glad to see that you are well." Rovino said in a better mood today.

"Yes I am but if you do not mind I would like to have-" Volaxone was saying when Dragoune gave him two small rabbits and a big piece of deer steak.

"Something to eat." Dragoune finished. Volaxone took the meat and it did not take long to gulp it down. When he was done he said.

"I bet you all are wondering why I am here and there two reasons for that. One is that Kaous finally decided to attack the final remaining city which is Magnerous's and two Kaous found about me. Now Dragoune do not step to conclusions I know it was not any of my spies within the castle and Drixin was very careful into meeting me." The reason why he said that to Dragoune is because Dragoune's eyes were already red.

"How did you escape?" Rovino asked

"That was quite simple actually I just snuck out in the night."

"But how, the gates are closed at night." Dragoune asked

"I used a rope ladder, since the guards are under Kaous's control they are quite stupid."

"Then why all of the injuries?" Dragoune asked

"Since Kaous knew I was giving out information it was a matter of time they would search for me in the city and the surrounding area. Some of the griffons that were under his control spotted me, careless as I was I thought that I was in the clear, I couldn't have been more wrong. The day before I could reach to your hiding place I was ambushed twelve to one. The reason I got these injuries is because they caught me off guard, they were not down wind so I had no idea they were there. My arm was slashed right away, that is when I started fighting back. When I got out of the middle of the fight I ran as fast as I could. Like I said before they were not all that smart, they did not surround me but sort came at me as a straight line, so I could fight one by one. When I was near the last one I was both tired and hurting really badly. I stumbled and fell so that is how I got my leg broken. I got up very slowly, leaning on a tree. By the time I was fully up the last guard came sword at the ready. Do not ask me how I won but I did not win that one without injury I found that I was slashed on my chest. Exhausted I went back to my campsite I did what I could to clean my injuries and had a stick to lean on. I then made sure that no one was following me and again set out to this cave. You pretty much know what happens after that."

When Volaxone was done with his story Dragoune noticed that Crosain and Siss were in the room as well they must of came in while Volaxone was talking.

"Do you know when Kaous is going to attack Magnerous?" Rovino said

"If he has not done it now then it will be soon. I told Drixin to tell his leader and then to help him. He was reluctant to because he wanted to tell you as well Dragoune, but I told him that I will be leaving soon anyway so I would tell, that was before I found out that Kaous knew about me." Volaxone answered

"But how did you found out that Kaous knew about you?" Siss asked

"One of my spies was near Kaous almost the whole time, it was a matter of time before he broke and when he did the others warned me about the incident. Now since I told my adventures I would like to hear yours."

Dragoune first reminded him about the six elemental beings then he went into on how he trained with them showing each of the elements one by one with his claw. When Dragoune got to earth he told Volaxone that he and Saneira to become venomous and then showed him his fangs.

"I still need to do light and darkness and no Dargrin is not with Kaous, I can explain." At first he through how he did not trust him, and when Dargrin gave Liten the power of darkness it was really the last straw. But that is when he learned that Dargrin would never side with Kaous. The last thing that Dragoune mentioned was that he knew a way to control his rage this he did not show but described it on how it was done. After that it was dark out and everyone was very tired.

"We will show you the newcomers tomorrow." Crosain said Volaxone looked at him oddly.

"Our hatchlings!" Siss said with a smile that is when Volaxone got the idea and said.

"I look forward to it." Dragoune was the last one out and Volaxone said.

"Thank you for everything." Dragoune nodded and close the door. He then went to his place in the nest and lied next to Saneira.

"They look so cute when they are asleep." She said to him

"Yes they do. Would you mind if you brought them to see Volaxone?" he asked

"Not at all." She said Dragoune smiled and said

"Goodnight my two little hatchlings, and my beautiful dragoness."

"Goodnight my black knight." Both Dragoune and Saneira were soon sound asleep.

The next day Dragoune was out patrolling the area just to be sure that no one followed Volaxone. He did the other two days when Volaxone came here. It was not that Dragoune did not trust Volaxone's word it was that they had too many problems already that it would be stupidity not to check. When Dragoune was satisfied he head back to the cave. When he got there he saw that nest was empty. Dragoune knew that Crosain Traisa and Rovino was training, so that meant that Siss and Saneira was inside Volaxone's room with the hatchlings. When he went inside Saneira was near the door way she looked up and smiled when Dragoune came, while Siss was at the foot of the bed. Saneira pointed at the bed to show that the four hatchlings were in the middle of the bed staring at Volaxone intently who was telling one his and Dragoune's adventure's. Dragoune thought was the cutest thing to see and he used the word cute very rarely. The day was quite peaceful not once the hatchling's cried, Rovino and Volaxone would play games of chess Crosain and Dragoune would join if it was not their turn to be watching the hatchlings and the females would hunt. The day ended quickly and that is when Dragoune was meant by Litally.

"Kaous grows ever more powerful you must hurry and finish your training!" Without Dragoune's okay she showed him where she was down south close to the Vordran old place. Dragoune nodded and she then left him saying.

"For all the citizens of Marnex you must hurry!"

What is happening to Marnex since Kaous has all the cities in his grasp and will Dragoune finish it in time before it is too late. Find out in the next chapter!
