Love <3 (Work in progress. Want to know what you think.)
This is my first ever story... It may not be the best but please leave feedback and help me improve (This is in progress)
I had never been one for company; I preferred it alone in my room. Drawing, reading or staring at my paws. I had never thought I would ever fall into a relationship with someone, ever. But it happened. And it caught me by complete surprise.
It was a normal day. Everyone was getting on with their day peacefully, quietly and keeping out of my way. This was just the way I liked it; no one bothering me at all. Just me, myself and I, as they say.
"Katie, breakfast!"
I heard my Mother calling me down. I sighed as I slumped out of my bed. I got my gown on and walked out my room, yawning. I felt something painful as I shut the door and yowled in pain, I had shut my tail in the door.
"Are you okay up there?" Mother called to me.
"I'm fine" I lied, my tail was in throbbing pain. I tried to ignore it as I continued downstairs to get my breakfast.
I had been made cereal, again. The same cereal I have eaten every day for the past year or so. I sighed and thought to myself 'nothing changes here does it?' I tucked into my cereal and mumbled to myself, my tail was still throbbing. I notice Mother's look change dramatically.
"What's wrong?" I asked, confused.
"What happened to your tail? It's bleeding!" Mother cried out. I swung my tail to in front of me and sure enough it was bleeding, a small bit. It wasn't anything to care about but Mother came over and checked it over anyway.
"Mum, its fine! All I did was catch it on- Ouch!" I cried out as Mother squeezed it a little "what was that for?" I shot Mother a look of evil.
"It's swollen, we need to get it checked."
"But-" I stopped myself as I realised this would mean a day off of school "fine." I sighed.
