#3 of Gemini - Book 2

The third chapter of Glaives adventure.

I don't own MLP.

With a severe stiffness in his neck Glaive awoke to find himself on a dirty floor of some sort of cramped compartment. "Dear Celestia, what happened?" he asked himself, hoping to at least regain something from the previous bout of consciousness.

"What happened? How dare you not remember the sheer audacity of rousing the great and powerful Trixie from her slumber!" an angry voice yelled at him from some unknown direction.

Glaive craned his neck around to see a blue splotch coming into focus, presumably the same from last night. "I'm sorry if I interrupted her sleep, is there any way I can apologise?" he regretted the words that dribbled out of his sleepy mouth.

The blue blur moved closer to him and fully came into vision to reveal itself as a blue mare. "I don't think a mere common pony like you could do anything for the likes of me." She said calmly. "But if you insist." She said with as her voice took a lower undertone. "There is this big brown creature that keeps pestering me and then proceeds to run to that big castle to the west, it would be ever so kind and brave of you to sort that creature out for me. Of course I would do it myself, but because of my abrupt awakening and having to drag you inside, I'm no longer at my full strength." She said in an overly sweet and innocent voice.

"Well, that's why I'm here in the first place. Just let me talk with my higher ups and well get right on that ma'am." He said standing up and giving a salute just before he left.

As he walked in his new home he noticed that the place was trashed. "Lance?" he called in a worried tone, and mere seconds later he appeared.

"H...Hey Glaive. What's going on buddy?" Lance said gasping for air with a big smile plastered all over his face.

"What happened here!? It's a complete disaster!" Glaive yelled. "And for Celestia's sake, why are you so happy about it!"

Still gulping for air, Lance leaned nonchalantly against a wall. "What's wrong with being happy, you're happy all the time and I don't complain it, so why can't I?" Lance questioned quickly and defensively.

"O.K. number one: you complain about it all the time and number two: you're missing the point, what happened to the house?" Glaive retorted, starting to get annoyed with Pegasus's change in attitude.

"Oh yeah." He said as he placed his hoof to his head, trying to remember the details. "There was this mare, uh, Pinkie Pie was her name and she threw a party for us. Oh now I remember you weren't there were you."

"No, I was off gallivanting around risking my neck trying to find a vicious angry monster. Luckily I was able to get some info about its location from a mare in the forest after meeting the beast." Glaive said angrily.

"Oh, um, I was able to find out that Clover owned a shop, um, Quills and Couches I think it was. Oh and he was in a relationship with somepony, err, can't remember who though, sorry."

Glaive sighed and made his way towards the bedroom, only to be stopped by Lance.

"Where you going?" Lance asked with a bit of fear in his voice.

"I'm going to the bedroom to pick up another spear; I lost mine in the woods."

"No, no, no. Don't worry about it, still need to get dressed so I'll get it for you and then we can see if that mare's info holds up, alright?" The Pegasus stated in an almost pleading voice.

After getting their gear they ventured out into the Everfree forest. "So Glaive, how big was it?"

"I don't know exactly, but it took my spear with no problems." He laughed nervously as his eye's darted around each and every tree. "Look, there." He pointed with his hoof, "that's the trailer; now all we have to do is head south. See, t...this, this should be easy with the two of us, right?" he asked no one in particular, just so he could calm his nerves.
