The doctor said as he rested his left arm on the window pane of the truck. "Gotta make sure no is around first, this is gonna get kinda creepy." Shadow hopped out of his car and looked around, seeing no one but themselves, he sat down cross legged in front of the vehicles. He closed his eyes and concentrated, slowly wisps of shadows raised from his body and seemed to wrap around something in the air. They pulled and a jaeger portal opened directly to the mansion as held up and hand to keep it stable. "Go now, can't hold it open for very long."Ladra got into the driver seat and drove the car quickly through the jaeger portal, followed by Dr. Grey in the truck. Once they were safely through Ladra came out to look at Shadow to see if he would come through. Not knowing if he could do anything to help he raised a hand up and it glowed white as his own energy helped to keep the portal open from his side to get Shadow through. Shadow walked through with ease and the portal closed behind him and he stretched a bit. "Always need to stretch after that. Anyway, let's head inside shall we?" He grabs his suit case and brief case and walked inside.Dr. Grey grabbed Shadow's shoulder and pulled him back. "Not until I check inside to see if it's alright to go in. This is my home you are going into, you cannot just barge in without it being safe for you both." The doctor took out a bottle of clear liquid and went inside. Ladra coming up to pat his back and sighing. "Welcome to Daybreak, Virginia." The mansion was located a little out of town, in the deep woods. Built in the early colonial times but still looking very beautiful as if it were taken good care of periodically. Shadow held him close after putting down the brief case gently, Ladra could feel that there was so etching under the coat Shadow was wear as he held him tight."Nice place, but now I'm worried what that clear liquid was.""How should I know...I'm new to this whole world of the supernatural." Ladra hugged back tightly as he smiled and murred to how strong and warm he was. "What's that I feel?" "You really want to know? Alright." Shadow opened up the left side of his trench coat to reveal an array of throwing knives and an under arm holster with a black desert eagle nestled safe in it. "And that is just this side. The other side has three different swords and another desert eagle, that one silver, and finally, there is a collapsible bow on the back of my belt.""Cool, I really can't believe someone as awesome like you still what's to go through all of this for me." Ladra smiled as he hugged him tightly, not wanting to ever let Shadow out of his

life. "Are you kidding me? I love you Ladra, no matter what happens, and you know now that I can protect you properly." He laughed as he held Ladra tight and murred happily.Ladra murred with Shadow as they hugged lovingly under a gentle snowfall night. Dr. Grey came out with a half empty bottle. "It's safe to start setting things up." "Can I ask what was in that bottle? Tell me it's not holy water." He stared quizzically at the bottle as he picked up his stuff, keeping his tail wrapped around Ladra."Not exactly. It's a special potion that helps to keep unwanted visitors away. It was given to me by a witch I knew. But since we welcomed you into our home and family, you are safe to enter." Ladra picked up his belongings as snuggled into Shadow's side and loved how warm and fluffy his tail was. "Ok then." Shadow walks in dragging Ladra along with him since he was still wrapped in his tail. "So where is your room Ladra?" "It's upstairs on the second floor, go down the right hall, take a left at the last hall at the end and it's the third room on the left." Ladra said as he remembered exactly where it was as they walked into a grand staircase in the middle of a beautifully decorated entrance hall.Shadow stares in awe at the mansion. "It's amazing here...." He followed the directions with a bit misdirection and placed his stuff on the bed. "Nice room Ladra."Ladra's room was decorated with a nice creamy wallpaper with actual gold leaf designs with a setting of a beautiful forest. The cieling painted in sky blue with wispy cloud beings and luminescent angel. The floor tiled with black and white. A king sized canopy bed with silk bedsheets, pillows and blankets. A mirror, dresser, chest, table, lamp, a large bathroom with a pool sized bath and a shower on the side, and a walk in closet fill the room for both of them. "Thanks, this will be our room to share and live in together.""Hooray!" Shadow chuckled as went over to the chest and opened it, taking off his jacket and putting it in, but not after taking off the silver dragon, he placed it aside and placed the brief case inside and closed it, putting the drake on top of the chest. "There we are." "What's that silver dragon for?" Ladra asked as he started unpacking clothes to put in the dresser, books already on the shelves and bookcase. A small treasure box on the bed that had Ladra's initials etched into the lock.Shadow chuckled with a mischievous grin." What silver dragon?" When Ladra looked again it was gone. He heard a rustle on the bag he was unpacking, he looked back to see the little drake sitting there on his haunches, forepaws neatly set, it's head cocked to the side as it's amethyst stared at him.Ladra

smiled widely as his eyes got big and he squealed in delight. "A real dragon! Oh my God he's so cute!" He petted the silver dragon on the top of his head. "What's his name? How is he alive? Why do you have him? How did you get him?"The drake seemed to chuckle lightly and nuzzle into the pets. "One question at a time Hun. He can answer a few of those himself, he is a very smart drake." Shadow waved his hand and a rectangular box with low sides and top appeared, it was full of sand, appeared on the bed. The drake flew over to the board and used the end of his wing claw to write in it and it read. "My name is Naseraf, a pleasure to meet you Ladra.""Hi Naseraf, nice to meet you too." Ladra kept rubbing his glimmering scales. "You're so lucky to have such a companion Shadow, I could only dream of such fantasies where I had amazing friends. So where did you come from and how did you end up with Shadow?""I can answer that one Hun." Shadow grinned as he held out a hand and Naseraf flew into his hand, then moved to his forearm as he grew to the size of a hawk. "I made him from clay and piece of dragon fire. I took it from my dad after I killed him. I sculpted Nas with the fire in the center as I pictured him. Took a few days, but here he is.""So dragons are real?" Ladra moved closer to rub the top of Naseraf's head. "I wonder what else does exist." "Yes dragons are real, demons are real, angels are real, and so much more are real. I have even seen elves." Shadow said as Naseraf flew onto your shoulder and nestled on Ladra's shoulder and turned to metal again for a sec before going back to normal, he showed him how he is a shape shifter, a sort of chameleon."Awesome. You know I hope and I can become friends too. Anyway looks like four of us live here now, three in this room. Well we better help my Father out soon." He grabbed the chest with no key in sight and put it on the top of his shelf. The Doctor coming in and smiling at them. "No need to help me son, already finished my unpacking. Get some rest and I'll see you both in the morning, goodnight." He closed the door and Ladra got onto the bed and sighed."And yet no reaction whatsoever to the dragon on your shoulder, your father amazes me." Shadow said as I pointed to the chest and Naseraf flew over and get in a menacing pose with wings splayed and teethe bared as he turned back to metal. "There we are." Shadow stripped and got in bed.Ladra blushed hard as he took off his clothes completely and got into bed with Shadow. Both completely naked as he scooted in close to his warm body and blushed as he felt his muscularity as he hugged him.Shadow smiled as he held the human close and

mired happily. "I love you Labra, forever."The young human smiled happily as he was hugged by his boyfriend, kissing his cheek before resting his head on his chest. "I love you till the end Shadow." His chest glowed softly with love for him."Forever and always, I will love and protect you." Shadow smiles as his own dark aura reached out for Ladra's and intermingled with it easily, almost in a ying yang pattern."Heh, the light and dark together. We do belong together my love." Ladra found comfort in Shadow's warmth, his embrace, his love, and even his darkness. "You're not evil Shadow, for the day must have night as well. You are my night, illuminated by the moon and stars to give you enough light to be at peace.""Thank you Ladra, you are my shinning light, my North Star, the one thing I will follow till then end of time." He held the human tight as he murred.Ladra chuckled as he hugged Shadow tighter and kissed his pecs. "You big lug, you're very sweet. Thank you Shadow.""No thank you Ladra, for saving me from my personal hell." Shadow held the human close and murrs into his hair, giving it a few licks as his tail wrapped are Ladra.Ladra blushed as he let out a yawn and hugged Shadow closer with a bit of unnatural strength, but it was gentle. Feeling snug in his tail and arms, close to his chest where his head rested, slowly drifting to sleep with his dark hair left wet.
