"But you are going down!"Ladra laughed happily as they played against each other, firing decisive rounds of ammunition to get Shadow.Shadow hid behind a rock and activated his cloaking, dashing away when he reloaded and found a promethian sniper. "Gotcha now."Ladra had no idea where Shadow went and crept in the shadows to try and find him in order to get a good shot at him.Shadow let himself grin a little as he disengaged his cloaking and assassinated Ladra with the pre-equipped energy sword, stabbing him through the back and picking him up, slamming him down behind himself.The game ends with his death and he throws down his controller in defeat. "AARGH! I'm going to beat you one of these days!" "Oh please, you know I am a master of Halo assassinations." He chuckled as he leaned over and flicked his forehead.He laughs as he rubs his forehead and then lunges at the wolf with arms clinching his midriff. "I'll take you on any day." He grinned. a wink and chuckled.Ladra was flushed with embarrassment as he glared at Shadow with narrow eyes. Before he could say anything there was a knock at the door and Dr. Grey came in. "Boys I need you to sleep early tonight, I'll unfortunately be busy with work in my archives all night. I'll see you both in the morning." "Okay Father." Ladra gave him a hug and was tucked into bed with a rub to the forehead. "Night my son, may the angels shine their light on you with blissful dreams." "G'night Dr. Grey, see ya in the morning." Shadow climbed into bed and tucked himself in."Goodnight Shadow, sleep well you little ruffian." He snickered softly and closed the door. Ladra left the lights off and only the moon shone through the window. Still feeling flustered by Shadow. He chuckled and rolled over in bed a bit, looking right at Ladra. His other side allowed perfect vision in the dark and he watched him quietly.Ladra felt eyes on him, perhaps his own imagination. But maybe it was Shadow, just always watching over him. He always suspected he might have some feelings for the young human but he just thought he would be better off with a nice girl. He sighed quietly to himself as he settled down. 'Like he would ever like a halfbreed like me...' He closed his eyes and let the silken curtain of sleep close around him.'He could do so much better than a loser like me.' He said in his mind as he was soon taken into sleep's gentle warm embrace. He soon dreamed of a scorched landscape, many mutilated bodies sprawled throughout the battlefield. He whimpered as he looked up and saw a demonic presence with searing eyes, a mouth full of jagged teeth as he lunges at Ladra. "AAAHHHH!" "LADRA!!!" He yelled for the third time as Shadow shook him awake, when he woke up screaming he held him down. "Ladra, calm down, It was just a nightmare."Ladra was taking ragged shaking breathes, hard ones. In a cold sweat as his heart pounded out of his chest and he started to cry, his body shaking with stifled whimpers. "All I saw...was death...and blood..." "It was just a nightmare, that's all it was, just calm down." He hugged him close and rocked lightly as the wolf rubbed his back. 'Sounds like he saw hell on earth.'"Everyone I saw was dead, mutilated...an awful devil!" Ladra clutched onto Shadow tightly, breathing hard as he was rocked gently, the side of his face resting on the wolf's broad chest. "Shhhh it's alright now. 'Defiantly sounded like hell.'" He winced inwardly at the demon comment and rubbed his head.Ladra took a moment to close his eyes to face his fears. The image of the demon lord seared into his eyes. He calmed down as he told himself in his mind over and over again that it was just a horrible dream. Relaxing as he felt Shadow hold him tightly and stroke the back of his head. for you..." Ladra's confidence had worn down today as he sniffed in Shadow's arms. He held him tighter. "Because you're my best friend and you're all I have left.""What about everyone around you? All your friends and fans love you. Fuck you can get any girl you want?" Ladra's heart was at the point of breaking right now as he was giving him this chance at being free of the burden of Ladra Dagaron. "Because the only one I truly care about is you, I just put up with them. And as for a girlfriend, I suppose your right if I was into girls, but frankly I'm not."Ladra sighed, he felt happy that Shadow still wanted to be with him but..."But what if all I cause you is nothing but trouble?" Ladra gasped quietly as he admitted his yearning for his best friend. Shadow grinned broadly. "I knew it! You got a crush on me!" He laughed a bit before holding him tighter. "Why didn't you just tell me?"Like earlier before Ladra wrapped his arms tightly around Shadows washboard stomach. Hugging him so close as to feel his bumpy abs touch his slim stomach. All you had to do is ask." He leaned in and gently, all so gently, kissed him on the lips.Ladra's cheeks were flushed brightly as his eyes fluttered closed and he tightened his grip on Shadow. Murring gently into those soft lips as he deepened the kiss a little more.
