#13 of Time for a Change
The latest episode. Since people seem happy to keep this sex-free, would anyone be interested in me maybe adding a second of these style stories, set in either the Stonehouse mysteries, or Daylight? I don't mean TF focussed, but a Quest-like series like this one. Add a comment if you want something like this.
With the Event team gone and neither of them locked in a little box being probed, the tension slowly drained out of Jenny and Matt. Jenny threw her hands up with a sigh. "Well I guess that's it then," she said. Her fingers gently probed her horns, trying to get used to the idea that she was going to look like this for the foreseeable future. Matt was clearly feeling the same way as he stroked his tail through his trousers.
"Do they really expect us to go outside like this?" he complained. "I'm going to have to get some new trousers for this thing; keeping it in my pants is really uncomfortable."
Both of them paused at that...then Jenny started to giggle. Soon both of them were laughing at the innuendo. It seemed ot make sense; if the Event team did not seem to be even slightly worried about their condition, then they might as well relax a little. So long as it did not get worse...
In any case, once they had calmed down, Matt offered to ring work with the number they had been given. Jenny shook her head. "I'll do it," she said. "It makes sense after all." Matt shrugged and turned on the TV, flicking to the news and muting the volume so he too could check if anything like this was being reported.
Jenny turned her back on him and dialled work. With a little more practice on using her doggy ears she was able to get through to her boss with only a minimum of fuss. "Geoff? It's me, Jenny."
"Hello again, you feeling better?" came the reply. "You sound a lot better than this morning."
"Uh...yeah, that's right," Jenny nibbled her lip nervously. "Look Geoff, there's no easy way to say this, but I think me and Matt have been affected by the Event." She heard Geoff give a little noise of surprise. "We've had the Event team round and they told me to give you a number to call." She rattled off the digits to her boss.
"So...what is it?" he asked after jotting down the number. "Are you not going to be coming back in or something?"
Jenny signed and shook her head. "I really don't know. They didn't seem to think there was a problem, they didn't take us to hospital...We just both...look a bit funny is all."
There was a pause before Geoff replied. "Well I will call you back in a minute. I think it will be best for now if you just assume you're both on holiday for now." Jenny sighed a little. "I'll speak to you in a bit. Try and keep your chin up," he added before the line went dead
Jenny was in the process of relaying this to Matt when her phone rang. Picking up the handset, Jenny cocked her ear and listened. "Hello?" she said after a moment. "Who is this?"
