"What do you mean my little slut?" Cassidy asked, looking down at her lover, a bit surprised at the sudden forwardness of the opossum. "Something happened last night." Lilly started, looking up to the porcupine. "Someone did something to Bri and Bessie... Was it you?" She asked, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes. "I did." She said smiling down at her. "I did it cause they messed with my slut, with my baby, with you." She said holding her tighter. "They hurt something that was important to me, so I returned the favor, and I'll do it again, if I have to. Consequences be damned." "I... I... Thank you." She said blushing and burying her face in her lover's chest. "But you need have to be more careful." Lilly said looking back up to her. "Amanda and a police officer came to my room this morning and were asking me about what happened." "Don't worry, I made sure that I didn't leave anything behind." She said kissing the smaller girl's forehead. "Good. I don't want anything to happen to you. You mean too much to me." She said smiling and licking Cassidy's chin in a cute show of her submission. "And I know that you know I feel the same, that I don't want anything to happen to my lovely little slut." She said leaning in and nipping at the opossum's neck, getting a mewling moan from her. "Mmmmmh, I wish you could have seen the look on their faces." Lilly said smiling and purring, letting out a few little mewls as Cass nipped along her neck and shoulders. "They walked into the mess hall as me and Katie were eating breakfast, baseball caps and all that." She said tilting her head to the side, letting her a better angle on her neck. "Mmmmh, did you like the job I did?" Cassidy asked as she bit on her neck a little harder this time. "I wonder if Bri can still taste Bessie's ass." She said smiling as she moved up, her nipping fangs finding her ear, and the piercing going through her ear, tugging at it and getting another moan out of her. "Oh god." The opossum panted out as she felt her tugging the earring. "Mmmmh what did you do to them?" She asked, wiggling a little. "Well I stuffed a sock in the fat ass' mouth and taped it shut." She started snickering, lifting her leg up, moving it right between the opossum's legs and against her slit. "Oh you slut, you're getting off to the idea of what I did to them, aren't you?" "Mmmmmh, Maybe." The opossum said blushing and starting to grind against the porcupine's leg. "Such a slut. How hot would it make you if I told you that I used electrical tape to keep the from getting away?" She asked as she pushed her leg against her lover, smiling and purring at the sensation of her wet panties rubbing along her leg. "I think it would make me hot enough to want you to tape me up like that." She panted out, clinging to her lover. "Such a dirty slut." Cassidy said smiling as she lowered her leg just a bit to tease Lilly. "What about how I gagged one with a pair of panties?" "Only if they were your's." Lilly mewled out, bucking her hips. "I would love to have your soaking wet panties stuffed in my muzzle." She said in a begging manner. "Good, you dirty slut." Cassidy said as she pushed her leg back up. "Just tape your arms behind your back, toss you on the floor, gag you with my panties, and just finger fuck you till pass out." She said smiling as she stepped back and looked down at her jeans. It was hard to see in the dim light, but she had a damp spot on her pants leg from the opossum's grinding. "Slut! Look what you did." She said putting her on the back of Lilly's head and pulled her down to the wet spot, pressing her nose right to it. "Mmmmhp" Was the only sound that the opossum could make as her senses were flooded with the scent of her own arousal, hinted with Cassidy's natural scent, the combination making her hotter than before. "Such a naughty girl." Cassidy said as she pulled Lilly back up and pulled her into a kiss. The porcupine's hand quickly finding it's way into Lilly's panties, slipping right past the band and finding her clit. "I don't have any tape on me, but I will finger fuck you." Cass said in her dirty, loving way. The two went back to embracing, letting their tongues explore each other's muzzles, their tongues dancing around and wrestling. The whole time that this is happening, Cass' fingers are playing with Lilly's soaked slit, knowing from practice and teasing her, just where to go. Her slender fingers sliding over her clit and rubbing between her lips and slipping two of them in, with a flick of her wrist, she started pumping them in and out. She would speed them up at any moment that she felt Lilly cooling down, and slowing down when she would get to worked out. The moment that she knew that Lilly couldn't take it anymore, the moment that Lilly opened her muzzle Cass pressed her back to Lilly, keeping her from moaning too loudly as the opossum came. "My little slut feel better?" Cassidy asked as she pulled away from the kiss, smiling down at her lover. "A lot." Lilly panted out, clinging to Cass. The two spent what was left of the night snuggled together, gazing up to the stars, talking about anything that crossed their minds, jumping from their pasts, to their future and everything in between. A beeping sound soon came from Cassidy's arm, it was the alarm on her watch. It was signaling that it was that time, time for her to start heading home and sneak back in. This was the time of the night that the two hated, having to part ways. "It's that time." Cass said getting up and holding her hand out to help Lilly up. "But at least I will get to see you tonight." She said smiling as Lilly took her hand and got to her feet. "Mmmmh that's right the party is tonight." She said, getting pulled into a hug. "I can't wait for you to meet Katie and the others." "Sounds fun." The porcupine said smiling as she leaned in and kissed her smaller lover. "Love you my little slut." She said softly, brushing a strand of hair out of Lilly's face. "Now go get some rest." "Love you to." Lilly said smiling and blushing as she and Cass broke the hug and started off to their destinations. Cass making her way back to her house and Lilly heading back to the building the tree that she used as a ladder. Once back in her room she tried to make her way back to her bed without waking Katie up. "I just want you to know that you and that girl are so cute together." Katie said smiling as she glanced at the opossum, who froze up for a moment, before heading back to her bed. "Just a little." Lilly said smiling and poking her tongue out as she climbed into bed and snuggled up. Sleep soon came to the tired little opossum, and like many of the other times, the dreams came. Though this time, the dreams were different, no hate, no yelling, no violence, none of the things that they usually had. They were all replaced with happy things, images of her and Cass having fun, teases of things that they would do together, even images of the two together in the future. The next day was another tame one, dragging on like all the other ones. The only things that were out of the order where the occasional talk of what happened to Bri and Bessie. The rumors ranging from some raspiest breaking in, to it being some girl that the two bullied, down to people talking about Lilly snapping and having done it herself. Of course the two bullies refused to even talk about what happened that night, at least with the other girls. Nine times out of ten, anytime that they walked into a room all of the others would laugh and start pointing, even calling them names, they were getting a taste of their own medicine. Soon the high point of the day came, it was time for all of the kids to get dressed up and ready to head out to the community center, and to the party.

"Beneath the cold sun," "Watching you walk away," "Where my terror runs," "In rivers, so decayed."

Lilly smiled, practically dancing around the room as she got ready to go to the party. She was digging through the closet, looking through the small supply of clothes that she had. After putting everything down, she finally settled on a simple red dress, with some white stockings to go with it. She hadn't worn a dress like this in years, she shivered a little at a memory that slipped through her head, but tonight was going to be a good night. "Jeeze Lilly, are you ready yet?" Katie asked, sitting on the edge of the opossum's bed. "The party will be over by the time that you get there." She said with a snicker. The numbat girl was dressed in a simple light blue dress, and white stockings. "Bite me." Lilly said turning and poking her tongue out as she pulled her shirt off and started changing, the fact that her roommate was right there, didn't bother her at all, though Katie did blush and turn her head for a moment as she got dressed. "Ready now?" Katie asked, getting up and heading to the door. "Yes ma'am." The opossum said in a mock huff. "Lets go." She said following behind the numbat as they made their way down stairs to the main room, to find that there was a small group of kids waiting, it seems that the ones that had gotten ready and we're helping get things set up where there already. "All right kids." Amanda called out as she motioned for the kids to follow her out to the van and pile in. Once she got the kids in, she took the time to make sure that everyone was in their seat and buckled up before getting into the driver's seat and starting the van and heading to the Jonestown Community Center building. The ride there might have been a short one, but for Lilly it felt like it was taking for ever. Every minute seeming to take an hour, every turn seeming to get them further away from the building. Soon it was getting to the point that she was starting to fidget enough for Katie to notice and start joking with her about seeing her love and all that. The opossum let out a sigh as they finally got there and were let off the van and ushered into the building, Lilly never leaving the entryway, she was waiting on someone, Katie sticking right by her side. The two sat in the entryway for a little while, chit chatting about different things and just killing time. Soon enough the pair saw a figure in the distance. It was Cassidy, making her way on foot to the community center. She was dressed up in a nice, rather sexy dress, the sight causing Lilly to go a little wide eyed at the sight of her lover in a strapless, sexy, black Santa like dress, topped off with the white fluff around the top and shoulder. "Oh shit." Lilly whispered as she looked her over, stunned at the sight of her lover in such a sexy dress. "What's the matter slut?" Cassidy said smiling at her. "Am I too sexy for you?" She said snickering as she got to the opossum and pulled her into a hug, planting a loving kiss on her lips. The two closing their eyes as they kissed, letting their tongues dance around in one another's muzzles. "Um....Lilly...." Katie said, clearing her throat, getting the two's attention and causing them to break the kiss, the numbat was blushing brightly. "Care to introduce me... And head in before one of the adults come out looking for us." "Oh... Sorry." Lilly said smiling and blushing. "Katie, this is Cassidy, the girl that I sneak out to see." "Hey." Was all that Cass said to Katie as she pulled Lilly close and wrapped her arm around her and started to head into the building. "Come on my little slut." "Kay." Lilly said smiling and blushing as she was called by her pet name in public and in front of her roommate. The small group made their way into the building, being greeted with the sight of all of the other kids and the workers and volunteers. The workers and volunteers were busy with helping the kids out, getting the snacks and things like that, making sure that they were behaving and things like that, cause they weren't the only ones there, there were a few other smaller groups in the building. Lilly knew this from the other times that she came here when she was younger, and she would tell the adults that Cass was from one of the other groups if she had to. "You two get us a table and I will get us something." Lilly said smiling as she pointed to a table in the back. "What do you two want?" "Something sweet." Katie said, shrugging, having no idea what the adults had made. "Same here." Cass said as the two sat down at the table, smiling as she watched Lilly walking off, clearly staring at the opossum's ass. "So Katie, how did you end up at the orphanage?" The porcupine asked, slouching back in the chair. "Um... Well, short to say, my family abandoned me." The numbat said shyly, looking down at the table, taking in every detail of the table cloth in an attempt to avoid eye contact. "What did you do, kill one of your brothers or sisters?" Cass said, in a mostly joking manner. "Well... I don't really want to talk about it, but it's like I told Lilly. I could never be happy with what they want me to be. They want me to be something that I can't... I rather be dead than that." She said shivering a bit. "Oh." Cass said cocking an eyebrow. "Well, how do you like Lilly?" She asked, keeping her eyes locked on the numbat, who was slowly opening up, looking up to her as she heard the question. "I think that she is great friend." She said softly. "I think that she acts strong, but on the inside, she is scared and worried. Given what she has told me about her history, I can see why." "I'm back." Lilly said happily as she walked up to the table, a plate in each hand and one held up by her tail. "I have sweets." She said as she sat a plate down in front of Cass, Katie and then in front of her seat. No sooner than she sat down, the two heard a loud, happy squeak coming from Cass. "Oh god, pumpkin pie." Cassidy squealed out happily. "How did you know?" She asked, looking over to Lilly. "Umm... Cause it's my favorite." She said a little surprised at the reaction from Cass, Katie sharing the same surprise. "Hehe, she has a soft spot under those quills." Katie said with a little giggle as she watched, eating her slice of pie. "Yeah, but you have to get past a lot of quills." Cass said smiling at the numbat as she ate her pie. "I know one thing, this pie is good, but I know another pie that would be even better." She said smiling and sliding her free hand up Lilly's leg. "Isn't that right my little slut?" "Oh my... I'm sure we can find a nice, quiet place for the real desert." Lilly said smiling and blushing. "So Cass, aren't you worried about Bri or Bess seeing you and the police getting called?" Katie asked. "No, I mean, if it happened, I would be in a better place than my house." The porcupine said right flatly. The three sat there enjoying their pie and each other's presence. Giggling at one another, making jokes, and even telling stories about the better times in their pasts. "Bri, did you hear that?" Bessie asked the goose, looking around the room, her eyes settling on the table where Katie, Lilly and Cassidy were sitting. "That voice." She said, turning to look at the table. "Oh shit, that's the bitch that broke into our room." She said, rage welling up in her voice. "It's time to get pay back, and in the best way possible." The cow said smiling and glaring at the group that was totally unaware of what the two where planning. Calmly the two got up and made their way around the crowds, looking for Amanda, soon finding her chatting with some of the other adults. "Amanda." Bri said, reaching out to tug at her sleeve. "We need to talk to you." She said, pulling the adult away from the others. "What is it sweetie?" The elder rat asked, kneeling down to their level. "You know that girl that broke in and did all this to us?" Bessie asked, pointing to her butchered hair. "We found her." "Now girls this is serious." Amanda said looking at the two. "How do you know that it's her?" "Cause, we heard her calling Lilly 'her little slut'." Bri said chiming in. "It's just like she said the night that she did all this." "Oh... All right." Amanda said standing up. "You two stay here, don't go near them." She said turning to walk off. Back at the table the girls were sitting there, still talking and having fun, their pie finished and the empty plates sitting in front of them. Without warning Cass froze up and narrowed her eyes as she looked to the front door of the community center, in time to see the white rat talking to officers. "Lilly." She said turning to her, the opossum could tell that something was up at this point. "I want you to take this, and read it when things settle down." She said reaching into a pocket, pulling out a folded envelope and passing it to Lilly who slipped it into her pocket. "Katie. I want you to take care of Lilly." "Wait, what's happening?" Lilly asked, looking up in time to see the officers walking to the table. "Shit." She muttered. "Ma'am, you need to come with us." The one officer said as he stood next to Cass. "We need to talk to you." The older of the two officers, a male badger, looking to be in his late thirties, the silver name plate on his shirt reading Bill. "There is no need to talk." Cassidy said, putting out her arms. "I did it, and I need to be punished for it." She said, waiting for them to put the cuffs on. "Lilly, I'll be fine. Anyone tries to fuck with me in lock down, and they get the quills." "Well, that makes it easier." The other officer said. "And watch your English young lady." The younger shrew said looking down at Cass as Bill but the cuffs around the porcupine's wrists. "No!" Lilly screamed out, getting up, her chair clattering to the ground, the officers turning to face her. "You can't!" She said as she watched as Cass stood up and started walking off with Bill. "Stop! Don't take my Cass away!" She screamed out, tears forming in the corners of her eyes, soon turning into a flood. "You sorry shits! Let her go!" The words seemed to fall out of her muzzle as she rushed after them, only to feel an arm grab her and bring her to a stop. "Sweetie, I need you to calm down." The other officer said as he held onto her, tight enough to keep her from getting away, but not tight enough to hurt her. The name tag on his shirt reading Curt. "Let me go you bastard!" The little opossum hissed out as she jerked and pulled her arm, trying to get away. "Let me go!" She repeated as she jerked again, threatening to dislocate her own shoulder. "Lilly, please calm down." Amanda said rushing over to the officer and the opossum. "You're only going to make this worse." "Fuck you all!" She hissed out jerking again. "Cass!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. "I love you." She called out, still jerking her arm. "Lilly, please calm down, she will be out in no time." Katie chimed in, only to be greeted with a hiss from the opossum "Let me go!" The opossum said, repeating it over and over, jerking harder and harder, to the point that the officer was getting worried. "You two, don't make me pay you another visit." Cassidy said as she was lead to the door, passing the two girls that she had attacked, the two said nothing, but just smiled at her, thinking that they won. "I will kill you... Let me go!" Lilly howled out one last time, her tail lifting up in a swift motion, hitting the male officer right between the legs, causing him to let go of her. The moment that she felt the hand relaxing, she was off like a lighting bolt, rushing to the door. The poor girl just made it to the door in time to see the cop car with Cass in it, pulling off. "Miss, you really need to calm down." Curt said as he got up to the opossum and put his hand on her arm, holding her again, this time a little tighter. "I'm going to count that attack with tail as an accident." "Lilly, what's gotten into you." Amanda said rushing over to her and the officer, kneeling down. "I have never seen this side of you before." By this point, even in the building full of people, only four other people existed in Lilly's world. The stone holding her, the angle trying to stop her, and the two swine, herself the butcher. The only thing that she could think of, the only thing that she wanted was to end the two. She only ever felt hate like this once before in her life, and that was towards David. "I... It wasn't an accident." She murmured, before turning and looking at Bessie and Bri. "You!" She hissed out. "This is all your faults." She said glaring at them. "I will make you wish that your mother's aborted you." She said, her voice getting louder with each word. "I'm going to fucking kill you both!" She screamed out, jerking her arm again, this time succeeding in getting out of the officer's grip and dislocating her shoulder at the same time. In a rage filled, fit of violence, she rushed at the two. At this point it was only her, Bessie and Bri, no one else; there was no fear of what she was about to do, no fear of what would happen if she succeeded, no fear of any injury that would befall her, she just wanted payback. She had just enough time to get to Bessie and wrap her hand around her throat, and without a second though, she slammed her head forward, and right into the cows face. The head butt had knocked the bully over and didn't seem to faze the opossum as she turned to face Bri, but before she could get to her, she felt a hand grabbing her other arm and snapping her out of it. "Jessica-Marie Lilly!" Amanda called out as the officer had a hold of her. "What in the name of God above has gotten into you?" She asked as she rushed over to Bessie who was holding her muzzle, blood pouring from between her fingers. "You're looking at some serious trouble." Curt said looking down at her, and turning to face her, in the background they could hear Amanda call for an ambulance. "You took the one person that I love." She said reaching up and holding her shoulder for a second, before jamming it back into place. "You took the one person that loves me." She said, starting to shake. "You can burn in hell with David for all I care." She said, the shaking getting worse, without warning the little opossum started heaving and gagging. The officer didn't have time to react before the sound of splattering filled the room as Lilly vomited all over his legs and shoes. The worked up opossum heaved once or twice more before staggering back and passing out, hitting the floor with a thud.

"I'm made of blades and flame..." "I'm sick and dangerous..." "You're my favorite prey..." "'Cause I hurt the one's I love."

"What do you think caused her to... Break like that?" A soft voice started slipping into the darkness that was the opossum's world. "I guess that it was all of the stress of what happened." Another voice entered the darkness, this one stronger. "I think she's coming to." The soft voice spoke again. "Wha... What happened?" Lilly asked as she slowly started opening her eyes, only to snap them shut because of the bright light hurting them. "Lilly, how are you feeling?" The soft voice asked, the opossum knowing that it was Amanda. "Like shit." Was all that she said opening her eyes, trying to lift her paw up to rub her eyes, only to find that it was strapped to the bed. Her voice coming out slightly muffled, the oxygen mask muffling it a little. "Language sweetie." The other voice chimed in, causing Lilly to look over to see Darwin. The opossum let out a little meep as she felt a hand on hers followed by Amanda speaking up. "You had us worried, we had never seen you act like that before. Who was that girl?" "Why do you care? You took her from me." Lilly said looking away, glancing down at the restraints around her wrist, tugging at them. "Am I this much of a monster that you have to strap me to the bed?" "Lilly, we didn't take her from you, she will be out in no time, she has to be punished for what she did." Amanda said softly shaking her head. "And we care about you, but sometimes it hurts to show someone that." "And sweetie, you're not a monster." Darwin chimed in. "The only reason they did that was cause you were seizing up and they didn't want you to get hurt." "Whatever." She said as she felt Amanda's hand moving away as she got up and walked out of the room. "Can I just go home?" Lilly asked, glancing around the room. "Not just yet." Darwin said, reaching out to put his hand on her's. "Lilly, we really need to talk about what happened last night." "You took the one person that I love, you took the one person that loves me... The fuck did you think would happen?" Lilly asked flatly, Amanda walking into the room now, the doctor following in behind her. "Well, look who's awake." He said softly, the male otter said walking up to the opossum's bed, only getting a weak glare from her. "I'm Elliot, what's your name sweetie?" He asked as he looked over the different machines that she was attached to. "Can I just go home?" Was all that Lilly asked. "I want to go home." "Lilly, behave. I know that you went through a lot, but..." Amanda started, only to be stopped by the opossum. "No you don't." She said hissing out. "You think you do, but you don't." She said watching as the male otter wrote something down and then turned to Lilly. "Well, your wish is granted." He said, keeping the smile on his face. "Everything is checking out, all we need to do is get the paperwork for you to sign." He said turning to Amanda before walking out of the room. "Amanda." Darwin chimed in, looking over to her. "I want you to bring Lilly to the office this weekend, I will talk to her, and find out what's going on, but for now, I think that she needs rest." He said glancing over to the opossum who just looked off into space. "All right." The rat said softly as she looked to the opossum. "Lilly, it will be ok." All that she got out of the opossum was a huff. The doctor walking into the room, a clipboard in one hand and a small bag in the other one. "All right." Elliot said as he walked over to Amanda, handing her the clipboard, and the small bag, the rat knowing what all the paper work was. "Now the prescription is something that will help when she gets stressed, it's a fairly strong muscle relaxer, so you do have to be careful when you give it to her." He started out. "You would have to keep an eye on her, but other than that, it shouldn't bother her." He said as he took the clipboard back and turned to the table, starting to undo the straps that held the opossum in place, taking the IV out and putting a bandage on the little pin hole the needle left. "Come back in two weeks and we will give her a check up and make sure everything ok." He said before turning and leaving the room. "Well, I will see you two next week." Darwin said nodding to Amanda before getting up and heading out of the room. "Come on Lilly let's get you home." The rat woman said as she handed Lilly her dress, before sitting back in her chair. "Do I not get privacy any more?" Lilly asked as she took the dress, still sitting in her bed. "Alone is something you don't need to be at the moment." Amanda said shaking her head. "I'm sorry sweetie." "Whatever." Lilly said as she tossed the blanket to the side and slid out of the bed, her feet hitting the floor. She took a moment to get the dress slipped on and adjusted, before look to Amanda who had stood up. "Here you go." The motherly rat said as she handed her a jacket that was much too big for her. "It's cold out there." She said as the two started walking out of the room. There was nothing said between the two as they made their way to the front of the building, stopping by the checkout desk, Amanda talking to the nurse there, finishing things up. The little opossum took the moment to reach into the front pocket of her dress, pulling out the envelope before stuffing it back into her pocket as she heard Amanda thanking the woman, soon following her out to the parking lot and to Amanda's car. The two got into the small, mostly beaten up HHR, Amanda starting it up and starting to head home. "Lilly." Amanda started. "I wish that you would at least tell me a little about that girl, and why you did all of that. I mean you poke two of Bessie's teeth." She said as the car pulled to a stop at a light. "Her name is Cassidy." Lilly started out. "I have already told you why I did it. Cause you took the one person that loves me away." She said looking out the window, one hand tucked into her pocket, fingers resting on the envelope for comfort. "And that stupid bitch deserved it." She said with a hiss. "She deserved a lot worse." "No one deserves to be hurt, to suffer like that, or in anyway." Amanda said. "I mean..." "Then why the fuck are you making me suffer? Am I the only one that deserves it? Am I the only one that doesn't get to be happy?" Lilly screamed out in anger. "Lilly, I'm not the one that's causing you to suffer." She said, her voice shaking a bit. "It's not my fault that she did what she did. She has to be punished for it." "I don't fucking care!" The little opossum hissed out. "I just want my Cass!" She said, the car coming to a stop in the staff parking lot of the orphanage. "And you will get her back, but she has to serve her sentence first." Amanda started out. "It will be..." "I don't fucking care." Lilly said getting out and running into the building, dropping the rat's coat that she had on, on the ground. She kept running, dodging past the other people in the building, making her way to her room, slamming the door open as she went in and slamming it shut behind her, scaring Katie in the process. "Lilly!" Katie meeped out in surprise, rushing over to the girl, watching her as she pressed her back to the door and slid down it, starting to sob. "Are you ok?" The numbat asked, holding her tight. "No." Was all that she mumbled out. Katie didn't say anything as she stayed there, holding her tight, talking to her and rubbing her back, trying her best to keep the opossum's mind thinking about the good times, trying to get her to see that, Cass would be coming back soon, that it would be all over in no time, she even got a snicker out of the opossum when she said something about Bessie talking funny now.

"You're so lovely when you cry." "You're so perfect when you lie." "You can be my crucifix." "Hold me up to watch me die."

Lilly couldn't seem to get any peace or real privacy throughout the day, and well into the night, and it even continued through the next few days as well. Amanda and other workers coming in to check on Lilly, making sure that she was all right, that she hadn't done something that might hurt herself. It was all starting to get the better of her, all that she wanted at this point was enough time to read the letter that Cass had handed her before it all happened. It was soon all starting to get the better of her. "Lilly..." Katie called her name. "Lilly..." She called again. "Lilly!.." She called out one last time, this time she got the opossum's attention. "Huh?" She asked weakly, turning to face Katie. "I spaced out." She said looking blankly at the numbat. "Are you ok?" She asked, getting out of her bed and walking over to Lilly's bed. "I know that not having Cassidy around and all has been bad, but you're starting to look bad." She said reaching out, putting her hand on the opossum's shaking hand, finding it ice cold. "I'm ok, I just want Cass." She said softly, the shakes getting worse, starting to take over her whole body. "I'm fine." She mumbled as she held herself as she went through a stronger shiver. "Are you sure, I mean, you haven't really eaten in a few days." Katie said pulling her hand back as the opossum shook harder. "You know that I will do anything that I can to help you." She said reaching her hand back out to Lilly. "I'm fine." She said again, pausing for a moment, thinking. "You know, would you do me one favor?" She asked pulling the envelope from her pocket, she had never let it leave her person. "Sure, anything." Katie said perking up, happy to help her friend through this hard time. "Could you go get Amanda." She said, her voice seeming to fade in and out as she spoke. It was clear that she was weak, and was struggling to speak at this point. "But take your time, it's nothing big." She forcing a smile. "Um... Ok." She said getting up, confused at the request. "I'll be right back." She said getting up. It was clear that the numbat didn't want to leave her friend there, the fear and worry were written on her face as clear as day, but she got up and went to get Amanda. Lilly didn't say anything as she got up and walked to the door after having given Katie a moment or two to get down the hallway. She mustered all of the strength that she had left and dragged one of the chairs across the room and angled it under the door knob, jamming the door shut. She went back to her bed and set on the edge of it, holding the envelope in her hand. Slowly with shaking hands she opened it, pulling the paper out.

"My Sweet Lilly, If I gave you this note, then things happened pretty much like I expected they would, and your bullies figured out who I am and had the cops called. Don't worry about me; no one wants to fuck with a pissed off porcupine in Juvie. Plus, it gets me out of the house for an extended period of time.

You're extremely important to me, Lilly. You're the most important person in my life. In fact, you're the only person that seems genuinely interested in me, what I like, and what I want. I love you, and I'll do anything to protect you.

I don't know how long I'll be locked up, so you're going to be on your own for a bit. Be careful. Now that I am out of the way, "Leather" and "Feathers" (chuckle) might try their old shit with you. Or, new ass holes might rise up now that I've knocked them down a peg. Hopefully, I've done enough to scare them all out of fucking with you. If not... Like I said, I'd do anything to protect you.

Stay strong for me, love. I'll see you as soon as I'm out. I love you.

~ Cass"

The tears started forming in her eyes as she read, slowly mouthing the words as she read each line. Several of the letters seeming to stand out, it wasn't anything big, and it may have been all in her head, but they seemed to stand out. She looked it over several times, taking each of the slightly off letters in, burning them into her mind. "L-i-t-t-l-e." She said, spelling out. "S-l-u-t." She said spelling the rest of the letters out. "Little slut." She whispered out. Without warning the sound of knocking on her door caught the opossum's attention, she knew who it was, she knew that this might just be the only chance that she gets. "Lilly, Katie said that you wanted to see me?" Amanda's voice came through the door, followed by the sound of the door knob wiggling as she tried to open the door. "Lilly, why is the door stuck?" "Cause, I'm not coming out till you bring me my Cass." She said smiling, though it soon turned to an almost choking sounding coughing fit. "Lilly, let us in." She said banging on the door louder now. "Don't do this." She called out. "If you let me in, then I will do what I can to get you a visit set up." "No!" She barked out, looking up. "I want her here with me, now!" She hissed out. Her voice starting to shake and crack. "Lilly, this isn't helping you get to see her." Amanda said banging on the door. "Katie, go get one of the older boys." She said looking into the young girl's eyes, panic clearly showing in her's "That... That's... the only... way!" Lilly panted out, between heaves and gags. "Right no..." She couldn't finish the sentence before getting sick. She leaned over the side of the bed, puking again, splattering the floor with a sick, red mess. It took her a moment to catch her breath once she had finished, and another moment or two before it hit her, that never in her life when she had been sick like this, that it would be that red. "Lilly, are you ok in there?" Amanda called, the sound of someone running down the hall nearly drowning out her voice. "James, Lilly is locked herself in there, she needs help, do something!" Amanda barked out in a panicked sounding voice. "No, not till... Cass... Is... Here." She said as she stood up but instantly fell to her hands and knees. "No..." She panted out as she started gagging and vomiting again, spilling out more of the bloody mess. "Lilly it will be all right." Amanda called out, followed by the sound of someone slamming into the door over and over. "Not without... Cassidy... I don't want to... Live without... Her... Without... My... Cassidy." The opossum called back weakly, before the last thing that was heard was the sound of her hitting the floor weakly. "Lilly!" Amanda called out as James slammed into the door, finally breaking through, sending the chair flying to the other side of the room. "Oh shit." James whispered out as he got into the room to see the sight of the young girl laying on the floor, barely breathing. "I'll call nine-one-one." James said rushing out of the room. "Where is... She?" Lilly whispered out as she looked up to Amanda, who had rushed over to her, turning her over and scooping her up. "Don't talk." She whispered, leaning in to kiss the opossum on the head. "It will be all right." She said again. "I... Want... My Cassidy." She whispered out before going into a coughing fit, covering herself and Amanda in her own blood. "Cass... Cass... Cassidy." She whispered one more time before closing her eyes, her breathing getting even shallower. Thankfully at this point the sound of the ambulance was heard as it pulled up and the EMTs rushed in. "Oh god Lilly." Amanda whispered out as she opossum's chest stopped moving, the sound of her breath stopping. "No Lilly... Breath!" Amanda barked out as the EMTs rushed in and snatched the child out of her arms and started working. The EMTs worked as fast as they could, getting a breathing tube into her lungs and starting to pump it, forcing air into her lungs. In a blur of movement they had her one of the cots and safely strapped in, they started carrying her back to the ambulance, making their way down the stairs and through the front of the room, before heading out of the front door. One of EMTs climbed into the back with Lilly once they got her loaded in, the whole time Amanda was right behind them, making for her car to follow them to the hospital. The ride there was a rough one, the paramedic that stayed in the back with Lilly, getting her hooked up to a ventilator, and running the IVs that she needed, one for fluids and such that she had lost over the days that she had hardly been eating, and one bag of ringers lactate for the blood that she was losing. Amanda, the EMTs, the paramedic, James, and Katie were all thanking god that the hospital wasn't that far away, and praying that she would make it.

"I am made of pages." "Paragraphs and inspirations." "Paper girl, burn the world." "I pass the flame to you."

The white rat sat at her desk, looking at the paper that she had in her hand. All though the events of Lilly getting sick and getting her to the hospital, Amanda hadn't noticed the paper that she had taken from the little opossum. She had looked over the letter many times, gathering bits of info, she knew that this Cassidy was important to Lilly, with a little work she had gotten some info from the police, telling them that she needed it for her files. She picked up the phone from it cradle and punched in a few numbers before bringing the phone up to her ear. "Hello, is this Mrs. Madeline Lambert?" Amanda asked as someone picked up the on the other line "Yes it is. May I ask who is calling?" The voice answered back. "This is Amanda Miller." The rat said, speaking calmly. "I run the orphanage and I wanted to talk to you about your daughter, and maybe ask a few questions." "Cassidy, what about her?" Madeline asked in return. "Well, how does she act at home, if there is anything out of the ordinary that she might be doing? Things like that." The rat asked, picking up a notepad and a pen, ready to take a few notes. "Well." The older porcupine started. "She has been stuck in this gothic phase for sometime. I think that it's cause of the things that are happening here, her father and I are going through troubles, fighting sometime, in the end we are staying together for her." "Have you given any thought to the two of you getting a divorce? It looks to me that the fighting and the like is putting all of the stress on her." Amanda said as she scribbled a few things down. "Is there anything else that she has been doing?" "Well, she has been coming home, light hearted and happy, even smiling, which over the past years is something that we haven't seen a lot of." She said, a hint of happiness in her voice. "She has been writing the name 'Lilly' in fine, girly cursive and drawing little lilies around it, but anytime that we ask her about it she would just shut down, so we just stopped asking her and letting her be happy. Who ever that Lilly is, Cassidy sure is in love with her." "I see." Amanda said as she jotted down a few more notes. "I have one more question to ask you. Would it be alright if I went to talk to Cassidy? I have a few things that I want to ask her." "You sure can. I will call the center she is being held at, and I will let them know that it's ok for you to see her." Madeline said softly. "Thank you." Amanda said, "this has been a big help, bye bye." The rat said smiling a little as she hung up the phone. Amanda leaned back in her chair letting out a sigh, closing her eyes, letting herself think a little. She knew what she needed to do, or what she should do. Sliding her chair back, she stood up and stretched. The rat gathered up her notepad, keys, and grabbed her coat before heading out of her office and making her way to her car. She shivered as she walked outside, winter was here and it was here to stay, it was times like this that she was happy that her car had such a good heater in it. Once in her car, she got it started, letting it run a little bit to warm up. She pulled her cell phone out and dialed the number for Jonestown Memorial. "Yes, can you connect me to room three-twenty-one?" Amanda asked, when the person on the other end picked up. The rat shifted gears and started pulling out before throwing the car in drive and starting the drive to Jonestown Juvenile Correction Center. "James?" She asked as she heard someone picking up on the line. "How is she?" "She's... Well... She's not as stable as they want her to be, but she is surviving." He said looking over to the opossum that was unconscious, hooked up to multiple beeping machines. "They say that she's fighting and trying to come through, but they say that she is really sick." "It could be worse." Amanda said as she made her way down the winding roads of the city. "I know what she is fighting for... or I should say who." She said as she pulled into the lot of the building. "She's fighting for a girl that she loves." Amanda said as she found a parking lot. "I have something to attend to, I will call you back later." The rat said as she ended the call and closed her phone. The rat slowly got out of her car, looking up at the building, shivering just a little at the imposing structure. She walked up to the building, making little notes of the building, thinking how bad the place looked. As she crossed the parking lot, snow flakes started falling, dancing in the air as they fell, the ones that landed on the white rat's fur just disappeared, like they were never there. "Hello." The rat said as she walked into the building, walking up to the counter. "I'm Amanda from the orphanage. I'm here to see Cassidy Lambert, her parents called ahead for me." She said as she stood there, looking down at the worked. "Oh yes, hold on one moment." The worker said as he looked down to the computer screen, typing some things in, and taking a moment before looking back up to Amanda. "I have it right here, you are allowed to see her, but we have a few rules." He said getting up. "You're going to have to leave the bag, and any metal objects here." "Ok," Amanda said as she set her beg on the counter, starting to fish out anything that was metal or might not be allowed into the main building. "I need to keep the notepad." She said as she handed him her bag and watched him putting it into a locker. "Alright, follow me." The male said as he walked past her and started leading her down a hallway and then into a large open room with tables and chairs, several guards standing around the room. "Wait here." He said pointing to a table, before walking off, the rat flopping down into the seat, wincing at how uncomfortable it is. It wasn't long after that, the male worker came back leading a female porcupine, her hands cuffed together and locked in mittens. "Officer, isn't the mittens a little much?" Amanda asked as she looked down at Cassidy's hands. "Not really, she keeps picking the locks on her cuffs with her quills." He said as Cass sat down, and he wandered off. "Hello Cassidy." Amanda said smiling at the porcupine. "I'm Amanda, I run the orphanage." She started out. "I know." Cassidy said softly as she looked at the rat. "You're the one that didn't do anything when those bullies attacked Lilly, but got me locked up when I didn't even hurt them." "That's a touchy thing." Amanda said as she sat the notepad on the table. "I wanted to ask you a few things about you and Lilly." She started out, just glossing over what Cass said. "What about her?" Cassidy said looking the rat right in the eyes. "I love her... I love her more than anything... She is... She is my everything... She is my world..." "I can see why Lilly is fighting so hard in the hospital." Amanda said jotting down a few more notes. "What?!" Cass asked, surprised at first, worry starting to fill her voice as what the rat said started sinking in. "What's wrong with my Lilly?" She asked standing up, starting to panic. "I want to see her now!" "Cassidy, calm down." Amanda said, making a note about the way that she reacted. "Lilly has been sick since everything happened, and she hasn't been able to see you. The other day, things started getting worse, and we ended up have to rush her to the ER." She said as she looked at the panicking porcupine. "I called to check on her on the way here, and she is slowly stabilizing, but their still worried about her." "I want to see her! Take me to see her now!" Cassidy demand, slamming her mittened hands on the table. "Now, god damn it." She hissed out, the guards attention getting drawn to her little outburst. "Now!" "You need to calm down now." One of the guards said as he walked up to her, one walking up on the other side of her. "No!" She hissed out as she turned to one and then the other, starting to step back. "Not till I see my Lilly." She said glaring at them, showing her fangs to them. "Cassidy, if you calm down I can do what I can about trying to get you there to see her, but with you acting this way, it's not going to help you." Amanda chimed in, only to get a glare out of the pissed mammal. "Fuck you! Take me to her now." She hissed out as she saw the guards getting closer to her, ready to grab her the moment that she would be open. In a flurry of movement and sounds Cassidy had lept onto the table and ran across it, making her way to the windows at the end of the room. Ducking and dodging through the people that go in her way, a few of the guards getting a few good pricks from her spines as she did. This was one of the times that Cassidy could her her dancing skills for something other than dancing. "Lilly, I'm coming." She yelled out as she got to the window, throwing herself through it and out of the building. The end of the building that she was on was still on the first floor but it faced a hill, meaning that the porcupine started rolling when the hit the ground, coming to a stop at the bottom, not moving. In another flurry of movement and noise, an ambulance was called for her. The last thing that Amanda was able to see was the sight of the porcupine getting loaded onto the stretcher, one of the neck brace collars around her neck. Without say anything, she rushed out to the front desk, snatching up her bag from the worked and rushing back to her car, starting it and soon chasing the ambulance back to the hospital, hating the fact that she was going back under these conditions, the snow making it harder for her to safely keep up with the ambulance, though she soon made it back to Jonestown Memorial.

"Staring at the sea." "Will she come for me?" "Is there hope for me?" "After all is said and done." "Anything at any price." "All of this for you."

Slowly the opossum's eyes started to open, blinking closed as the light burned, a paw trying to reach up and rub her eyes, but something soft kept them bound to the side of the bed. She weakly pulled her arm again, her eyes blinking open again, looking around slowly as the room started to form around her. She wanted to speak, but something kept her from doing so, a tube running down her throat. "Lilly!" A familiar voice hitting her ears. "You're awake." The voice said as she felt a rough hand on hers. "Thank God." It took her a moment for her to realize that it was James. "You had us so worried." He said as he watched the little opossum try to say something around the tube, her mind screaming out, but her mouth not working. "Hold on. I'll get the doctor." He said as he let go of her hand and walked to the door. Stepping out just in time to nearly get hit by a group of doctors and nurses pushing an unconscious girl to the ER, he waved for one of the doctors to come over. "Look who's up." The doctor said as he walked into the room, it was the same one that she had seen just a day or two earlier. "You gave us quite a scare." He said as he walked over to the different machines, looking over the read out. "It looks like you're stable enough for us to take the breathing tube out. Take a nice deep breath for me." With a practiced hand he reached up to the tube in her mouth and throat, and started pulling it out. In one smooth motion he pulled the long tube out of the little opossum, causing her to gag and cough a bit. James walked over to the bed, a small glass of water in his hand, he offered it to the opossum, who with his help, drank it down. She was beyond thankful for the water, the cool liquid soothing and hydrating her dry mouth and throat. "Th... Thank you." Lilly said hoarsely. "How long have I been out for?" She asked, looking around, watching the doctor as he started undoing the straps that held her arms in place. "About two days." Elliot said as he held a clipboard in his hand jotting down some notes. "You came in in bad shape, suffering from blood loss, dehydration, and a few other things." He said as he sat the clipboard down as his beeper went off. "Well it looks like I'm needed." He said as she put the beeper down and rushed out of the room, nearly knocking Amanda down. "Amanda, I was just about to call you, Lilly is awake." James said as she walked into the room, near instantly catching onto the fact that something had happened. "James, I need to talk to you." She said as she motioned for him to follow her out of the room, leaving Lilly to herself. "What's happened?" He asked, knowing by her panicked look, the fact that she was shaking just a little. "It's a long story." She said starting out. "You know how the doctor said that it was like Lilly was fighting for someone? And how I said that I thought I knew who it was?" She asked, leaning against the wall a little. "Yeah, and I think that I know what's happened." He said, thinking back to the girl he saw being pushed into the ER. "She's fighting for this girl, named Cassidy." She said looking down. "And they just brought her in." "Why?!" The fox blurted out. "What happened?" "I called and talked to her parents about what was happening and about everything that happened that night. I asked them if I could see her..." She said, wrapping her arms around herself. "I went to see her, and I told her what happened with Lilly and that she was in the hospital, and she lost it. James... I fucked up." "We all do, but there is always a way to fix it." He said putting his hand on her shoulder. "Are you going to tell Lilly that she is here?" "I don't know if I should, I don't know if she is stable enough." The rat said, looking up to the fox. "You know that you're going to have to tell her at some point and soon." James said softly. "At most, I would wait till Cassidy is out of the ER, and in her own room." "Ok." Was all that the rat said as she turned to the door and pushed it open, heading in with James in toe. "Lilly, what are you doing? You shouldn't be up like that." She said. "I know, but, I'm sore from laying in bed." She said, the little opossum standing at the window, using the IV stand to help her stand. She was looking out the window, watching the falling snow. "Lilly, I need to talk to you." Amanda said as she started crossing the room. "I need to tell you something first." The little opossum said as she turned to face the adult. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have acted like that." "Oh Lilly, it's not your fault, I'm the one that messed up." The elder rat said as she kneeled in front of the opossum. "If I had stepped in and done something about Bessie and Bri, then none of this would have happened. Cass would never stepped in, and ended up where she is, you wouldn't end up so sick with worry about her, and then she wouldn't have ended up in here." The rat went blank for a moment when she realized what she had said. "What do you mean? She wouldn't have ended up in here?" Lilly asked, glaring up to the rat. "Did something happen?" She asked, panic and worry starting to fill her voice. "I was going to wait and tell you once she was in her own room, but." Amanda said, pausing for a moment as she took a deep breath. "I went to see her, and ask her a few things about you and her, and well... She got... Upset... And ended up jumping out of a window, trying to get here to see you." "What!" Lilly yelled out weakly. "I want to see her now!" She said turning from the rat and starting to hobble her way to the door. "I want my Cass." "Lilly, you can't see her, she isn't even in a room yet." Amanda said putting her hand on her shoulder. "I will make sure that you get to see her when she is in a room of her own and everything." She said softly. "You need to get back to bed." Reluctantly the opossum did just that, climbing back into her bed with the help of Amanda, settling down for the wait, not knowing if it would just be moments that she would have to wait, or if she would end up having to wait half the day, or even longer. Time just seeming to drag on, the minutes taking an hour to pass, the hours taking days to pass. The snow storm raged on through the day, and well into the afternoon, blanketing everything in a covering in snow, seeming to quiet and calm the city down, but even then, another storm rage inside of Jonestown Memorial. It was well into the afternoon when the commotion started, the opossum could hear people yelling, it slowly getting louder as time passed, up to the point where it sound like it was right outside of the room, one of the voices sounding familiar to the little opossum "Where is she?" The voice came, the door to Lilly's room slamming open. "Lilly, are you in here?" The voice called out again. "Cass?!" Lilly asked as she sat up, looking to the hallway that lead into the room, greeted with the sight of Cassidy standing there. She was covered in bandages, most of them on her arms and chest, covering the nicks and cuts that she had gotten from jumping through the window and rolling down the hill. "Lilly." She said as she started running up to the opossum's bed, moving as fast as an injured porcupine could move, the only thing that stood between her was one unlucky nurse that happend to be in Lilly's room. "You... You can't be in here." He said as he saw her. "You need to go back to your room." He said starting to walk up to her. "Cassidy, you need to get back to your bed now, young lady." A male's voice filled the room, the voice belonging to her dad it would seem. "No!" She said looking back, seeing her dad, a doctor and a pair of security guards. "I'm not going to leave my Lilly again." She said, her arm rocking out, balled up fist slamming into a mirror, slicing her hand and lower arm up, scattering glass everywhere. "Cassidy Lambert! Stop this right now." The male voice called out again, the security guards starting to inch closer to her. "Leave her alone." Lilly's voice called out, surprising everyone. "Just leave us alone." She said as she pulled the IV from her wrist, getting out of bed. "Just let us be together." She pleaded out. It was in that moment that one of the guards took the opportunity to grab Cass' wist, causing her to drop the glass that she had. "Leave her alone!" That was the last thing that the opossum said as she leaned down and picked up one of the larger shards of glass, tugging her gown off and out of the way. Without saying anything, she brought the shard up to her chest. The tears started rolling down her cheeks as she looked at everyone. "Leave... Us... Alone." Was all that she got out before she started pressing the shard into her chest, dragging it up, carving and curved line into her chest, slowly leading it down to the middle her chest. By this point, blood was starting to bubble from the cut, red seeping through and staining her snowy white chest fur. She his softly as she started mirroring the cut on the other side of her chest, slowly carving a heart into her chest. "Leave... Us... Alone..." "Lilly!" Cassidy called out, yanking her arm free from the guard that held her, rushing over to the opossum in time to catch her, the two falling to their knees. "Look what you did to her." She cried out, her hand reaching out and taking the glass shard from her. "Save her, you better fucking save her now." She yelled out. "If you don't I will fucking slit everyone of your throats." She hissed out, holding the shard up to her wrist. "Do something, god damn it." She hissed out as she drew the shard over her wrist, cutting into her, she did this three times, before dropping the shard and hugging Lilly tight. "Now!" Amanda was standing outside of the operating room, pacing around, to the point that James swore that she was going to cut a groove into the floor. The fox was just as worried, but he was handling it a little better than she was. In the background, they could hear Cassidy's parents talking to the hospital's social worker, catching bits and parts of the conversation, something about old scars that Cassidy had, and what would be best for her. After what seemed like forever the doctors came out of the operating room, getting rushed by the rat and the porcupine parents, all desperate for news on the pair. "Are they ok?" Amanda asked, hands shaking. "Will they make it?" "How is Cassidy? Is she ok?" The girl's mother asked. "The two are doing just fine. Lilly needed several stitches and a transfusion, Cass, she only needed stitches, though both of their troubles go deeper than the physical." The doctor said shaking his head. "We have them in a room with one another, resting and recovering. We will come and get you just as soon as we have them a room." He said as he turned and started heading off to handle other things.

"You're perfectly flawed." "You're perfectly incomplete." "Like cracks in the glass." "And faded photographs."

"Lilly? You awake?" Cassidy asked softly, turning to look at the bed beside her, the sleepy opossum in it perking up a little. "I am." She said turning her head to look at Cassidy. "I love you." She whispered out softly, smiling as she looked into her eyes. "Lilly, I'm sorry I made you so sick." The porcupine said looking away for a moment. "You didn't." Lilly said taking a deep breath. "All of this, none of it's your fault." She said smiling, just happy to be with her lover. "You see, years ago. I killed my father, and tied to kill myself." She said taking another deep breath. "I got tired of his shit, and I did it. I found some old rat poison and mixed it into one of his beers, and then some into some tea for me." She said, tears welling up. "I gave him enough to kill him, but not enough to kill myself, only to induce a coma, one of the lasting effects is nerve damage, so anytime I get stressed I get sick." "Lilly... I'm sorry that it happened..." Cassidy started out. "But I'm glad that you didn't have enough to kill yourself... If you did... then I would have never got to meet you, to fall in love with someone so perfect, so wonderful." She said tears starting to roll down her cheeks. "I love you." She said, just in time for a pair of nurses to come in, wheeling them off to a room, where Cassidy's parents were waiting alongside Amanda and James, taking them in and helping them get settled before leaving, letting the families reunite. "Cassidy... We have to talk." Her mother said as she walked up to her bed, her father standing next to her. "Your mother and I have decided... That it would be best if she and I split up." The male porcupine said as he put his hand on his little girls. "Your father will still be a part of your life, but we thought that it would be better if you stayed with me." Madeline said softly, looking at Cassidy. "But that means that we will be leaving Jonestown..." "What are you talking about?" Cassidy hissed out. "I finally find someone that makes me feel good, someone that makes me happy and you want to fucking take that away?" She asked, jerking up in bed. "What the fuck is wrong with you? This isn't what's best for me." She said looking over to Lilly. "What's best for me is right here, she is right there." She said pointing to the opossum "You can't." Lilly chimed in. "Don't take her from me." She hissed out. "Don't do it. Please don't." The little opossum begged out. "Please, anything but that. Please... Please... not that." The girl just kept repeating the words over and over, starting to take and shiver. "Lilly, please calm down." Amanda said as she rushed over, putting her hand on the opossum's "You need to keep calm, this isn't going to help you get better." "Taking my Cass away isn't going to fucking help that either." The opossum said hissing, the shaking starting to get worse. "Cass... I love you." She said as she reached a shaking hand out. The machines and monitors around her starting to go off. "I love you to." Cassidy said, just in time to reach out, taking the opossum's hand as she shook harder. It was clear that the opossum was starting to seize up, James rushing over to press the emergency button on the wall, calling in several nurses and doctors to help, wheeling the opossum out of the room. "You see that? That's all your fucking fault." She said looking up to her parents. "You're taking me away from the one person that loves me for who I am... What the fuck is wrong with you?" She asked, hissing and glaring at the two other porcupines.
